Best Western Executive Inn & Suites

Could use an upgrade especially the low toilets and slippery showers, unsafe! Satisfied for a quick lay over with easy accent to the highway!

When I walked in the lobby to check in, no one was behind the desk. I saw a lady in a room off the lobby washing dishes. After a couple of minutes, I asked her if anyone was working the desk and she said yes me,what do you need? I should've turned around and walked out then but it was late and I was tired. I told her I needed to check in.

Friendly front desk staff! My request for top floor away from elevator was met and very quiet and comfortable, and clean! There was a distinctive smell in halls and a musty smell in room. For the area/exit of the hotel, the rate seemed high for the condition, appeal, and the age of the hotel itself. Touting it as “executive” is a stretch.

I didn’t like that when I needed extra linen that I had to go down to get it myself. Privacy is nice and I didn’t want to have to leave my room unless necessary.

It was horrible. Rooms look like a booked at the econo lodge. Then they lied and kept my $100 deposit saying the room smelled like smoke. I never smoked not 1 cigarette or anything in there. Very poor service full of thieves and liars. Cheap t.v no good channels. Will never go there again and neither should you.

Breakfast was just fair. As to location, the hotel is in a good spot. Road access very good. Location provides easy access to businesses, restaurants, entertainment. During the 1 night I was there, the quality of the breakfast biscuit was the only issue. I know that sounds petty, but the substance & quality was lack Ing. Then again, I make my own

Room was clean and comfortable. The price per night was a little higher than it should be. They also charge $100 hold for incidentals and threaten a $250 excessive cleaning fee. Not a bad stay or hotel, but ok for a 1 night stay.

We stopped in on our way to GA from Pa. The very nice woman at the desk was super friendly and helpful for check in and breakfast the next morning. Its very clean I would stay here again!

The hotel was clean. The rooms were clean. They served breakfast 7am to 10am. Everything was good except the tub held water while taking a shower. Good place for an affordable room.

I asked for some and they said they were out. 4. The fire alarm went off because of steam from the shower. This happened at 6:30 in the morning when other guests were sleeping. I asked why this would happen and they said it was very rare (we heard them going off in several other rooms) 5. The shower drained very slowly so there was and inch or 2 of water 6. The AC did not keep up.

The bed was comfortable & clean. Vanity covered with cigarette burns. At 8:30 breakfast no plates out and no food in trays. Desk clerk came around to cook food. She provided 4 pieces of sausage, a few eggs & advised no biscuits left! There were four people waiting to eat.

The hotel was very nice overall. The rooms, televisions, furniture, etc.. were updated and clean. My only complaint is the smoke detectors were easily set off from the shower steam. The fire alarms went off three times during my visit (with hotel staff having to come into my room two of those times) in the middle of me showering. It was very inconvenient that the detectors were so sensitive. I also wish there were more options for the continental breakfast. The days that I went, it was the same: sausage, eggs, and biscuits (as the hot options) along with your typical options such as yogurt, cereal, waffles, fruit, etc... It was a great hotel. I would stay again but they have to get those smoke detectors fixed. The staff was also friendly and flexible in making accommodations for the room.

Nice room, good breakfast, nice staff. We were there for my daughter to take an exam. The lady at the counter was right ! She said everyone who stays there passes the cosmetology test and my daughter passed.

Its was clean and quiet. Very close to I20 and I26. Eggs and Sausage for breakfast. The commode in the bathroom was extremely short. Not normal size at all. Think they put in the preschool size one. Also bed was so hard. Adding some Egg crates would have helped that bed.

Staff was friendly. The property and rooms were very clean. There were two things that were undesirable. #1. In the hotel lobby and 1st floor air conditioning is perfect but in the halls after stepping out of the elevator it is uncomfortably warm on the 3rd floor. Once in the room it was better but having to experience this every time leaving the room was a issue for me. #2. There was a loud sound that would come on almost every 15 minutes then go away, not as bad when awake and talking but when trying to sleep it is very annoying! I DID NOT COMPLAIN or mention these things to staff or management because they appear to be a normal part of operations. However, these are some areas of improvement to make the stay better! I would stay again but only if I could stay on the 1st floor to avoid the issue with the warmth in the halls.

This was our final stay on our week-long cross country trip. Having stayed in a few Best Westerns along the way, this one was by far the worst stay I’ve had in a long time. Son plays ball for USC and we needed a place for this past weekend. Excellent front desk staff. Very accommodating. Got into town early and were allowed access to our room early. Breakfast was good. Room was clean, bed a bit on the lower end but for the price, we slept just fine. Will definitely return

Everytime I come to Columbia I stay at this hotel. Its definitely not the best, but the staff has always been nice, and give good cs. This last stay on Saturday 10/21 was a huge disappointment! It was 1hr past the deadline to change my reservation, and the staff refused to work me! My room had a musty odor, the AC did not work, my son found dirty socks behind the chair, there was a bug carcass on the wall next to the tv, and there was a lizard in my bath tub! I've been loyal to this crappy place for yrs, and the 1st time I needed them to go a little above and beyond for me they refused! Well they just lost a good, loyal customer, because the next time I stay in Columbia SC, It won't be at the Best Western Executive Inn Suites!

It was 1hr past the deadline to change my reservation, and the staff refused to work me! I've been loyal to this crappy place for yrs, and the 1st time I needed them to go a little above and beyond for me they refused! Check in was smooth. Facility clean and well maintained. Pool was unlocked and clean and filter was running but we were told it was “closed”. So 82 degrees and no pool.

Area around the property seemed a little suspicious, but although our vehicles were parked on the side there was no trouble. The morning management was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was decent, including what would be expected for a hot breakfast.

So before we booked the room, we called ahead of time to ask if there was any extra fees upon checking in like most hotels do & she said "no just the taxes bringing it to just $119". So when we arrived she swiped my fiancé card twice and then said it will be an extra $100 fee. We told her she said nothing about that over the phone she simply ignored us & his money was taken from his account. And we had Expedia explain to management about the situation & we were not given a refund nor allowed to stay. This hotel pretty much robbed us of $119. Be careful coming here. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The night staff was very unfriendly. If it wouldn't have been so late, I would've gone elsewhere just because of his lack of manners. He acted very inconvenienced that we were even there. I had to book a hotel because the hotel I was in before best Western was terrible luckily I was able to book on the same day I couldn’t spend another day at the hotel I was in before Best Western I wish I book best western will not be in the situation highly recommend it

Dee at the front desk was fabulous. We had several hiccups with our room and had to change rooms and she had excellent customer service! The hotel was so nice and clean.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Common areas are nicely updated and the hotel marks high on cleanliness.

Stay was overall 5 stars, place was very clean, was greeted upon arrival, room was nice, and breakfast was better than expected. Area around Hotel ok but we already knew that.

We were concerned when we first arrived because there was a water treatment plant smell in the air near the hotel, but inside the hotel there was no smell. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Clean rooms and hotel, pool was nice the smell from the water treatment next door is the only negative other than our backs didn't like the over hard beds. Lady that checked us in told us about a delicious restaurant down the road. Super nice staff!!!

The hote was nice and clean but the free breakfast was not good. The yogurt was spoiled.

Clean compared to most hotels at the same price point, which was great. Room didn’t stink or smell of smoke . AC wasn’t great. Woman I talked to on the phone before arrival was very nice. The woman who checked me in was rude.

Second: The hotel was incredibly clean and new. My room was spacious and comfortable. Third: I highly recommend a visit here. It is within 10 minutes from USC.

Staff at front desk were extremely welcoming & helpful. The room was clean & the bathroom had plenty of fresh towels. Good coffee & light breakfast. The rooms were a bit outdated however.

It served it purpose.
