Even though the hotel was downtown and there were multiple venues to eat at, the price I paid for the hotel room there should have been a microwave in the room and the refrigerator was compact. Nice hotel overall but if I had known that it had no microwave I would have selected a different hotel.

Hotel bar is good, the location is fantastic, and overall the rooms are clean and put together. This is my second stay and while the first was a bit better I would stay here again. Bed was squeaky on one side, not a huge issue but it was staying more than one night it would have been annoying. Normal hotel pillow situation, which are always known to be terrible.

The rooms are always immaculate and I don't know what they clean with, but it smells wonderful!! I like that I can access my streaming channels on the tv; and, the breakfast offerings (while not free) are very tasty. Lastly, the staff is very friendly and professional.

Close to the concert. Price gouging abounds here. A $130/night room up-charged to almost $400/night due to a concert in the area. That didn't even include parking or a continental breakfast. I recommend avoiding companies that do this.

The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the air freshener that is in the lobby. It smells really good but it was a little overpowering and I get migraines from since so that was a bit of a concern.

I didn’t like that the sink would fill up with water while brushing my teeth and washing my face. It seems as if it was clogging up. Also there is no place to hang your wash cloths and towels after use.

Check-in was easy and free street parking on the weekend saved us $40 because we did not have to use the hotel garage. The room was spacious, clean, and stylish. However, we did not sleep well due to the wall AC unit being loud and we could hear the street traffic late into the night and early in the morning.

We really enjoyed our stay we were in town for a little league baseball tournament and our 10 and 14 year old lived the hotel the pool table and lounge outside with jenga was a hit. The location was great lots of good food otions within walking distance.

Great location. Nice place. Walkable. The parking garage elevator didn't work and the parking attendant really was driving cars through the garage like an Indy car race. Kind of dangerous.

The property worked great for our needs. We needed to book rooms last minute due to a flight cancellation and Aloft had availability. The area was filled with dining options since it was near the USC campus. We booked two rooms and while clean, one room had a distinct smell that reminded me of the smell of dog urine. We were told that the hotel was pet friendly. They sprayed the carpet in the room which worked temporarily but the smell came back unfortunately. We were able to get through the night but they should probably get rid of that carpet or remove it for cleaning.

The lobby Due to horrible customer service from booking.com my booking wasn't completed. I never got past the front desk. Each time I called booking.com customer service the agent was very rude, wasn't helpful at all, and kept hanging up in my face. Each time I called somehow I continued to get the same rude agent???? I'm highly disappointed in booking.com. I've booked through them for over 10 years and never had a problem. I will be disputing the charges from booking.com. Aloft lobby was very kept, that's all I can rate. One out of ten, I DO NOT RECOMMEND booking.com!!!!!!!!!!!!

The area was very unique with a few shopping a restaurant options within walking distance. The room was a corner room and very spacious. The room just needed some minor detail changes. Example: the bathroom light and vanity area lights up the whole room with no option to close it off. The property was overall pretty good and a comfortable stay. The staff were excellent.

It's well located. The hotel it's self is very nice. Stylish design in the rooms. Loved my rooms layout. Probably the hardest most uncomfortable mattress I've ever experienced. I literally woke up every couple hours in pain, twisting and writhing all night. Slept awful. Literally every couple of hours I'd wake up with and aching back and hips, no matter how I turned there was no relief. I don't own a special mattress at home, not even memory foam. This hotels mattress... felt like someone was getting revenge on me by making me sleep on this thing.

Pull up in front to unload, valet, and check in. Nice lobby area, friendly staff. Fantastic location with walking distance to several restaurants. Complimentary Coffee in morning, cafe to purchase breakfast. Room clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again!

During restaurant hours, I could hear voices all night until closing. I could also hear everything in the halls and the rooms weren't sound proof and I didn't realize there was no pool. I enjoyed my overall stay the room was small, but comfortable and clean.

Bathroom and toilet are in the same space as kitchen area in the room. Tables at the lounge area are greasy. Breakfast is poor and there was almost no options for the kids.

I was not a fan of the design, it felt like a dorm room by IKEA, small tight quarters, although the bathroom was spacious. Beds were comfy, but noise in the are due to college students was a bit too much.

Mentioned this numerous times before getting to the hotel. arrived at 11AM, refused us a room until 3. At 3, they said they gave away conjoined rooms and didn’t have any for us. Really bad experience. No room service. Awful bartender who could not make drinks and whose nickname was a bit distasteful. The entire experience was awful. I do not recommend going here for any occasian.

Best hotel even without a pool. I stay here every time I visit Columbia South Carolina. With many hotels in the area, this is the best. They do not have a pool but it’s worth the stay.

Check-in was a pleasure. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bartender was helpful…until we went to check out and we found out she double charged us (on our card and to our room, even though we didn’t want to charge it to our room). We had the bank proof and receipts to prove it. The manager kept arguing with us that we did indeed charge them to our room. She was very rude to us

Cute downtown hotel. We walked to dinner. Looks like USC is very close too. Large double queen room, electronic shades to block out the sun. Large walk in shower with decent water pressure. Not a fan of the barn door style door for the bathroom, but very minor thing. Very friendly and helpful staff from the valet to the front desk.

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! I travel almost every weekend for work and this stop was such a blessing! The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Valet was soo easy! The location is perfect for walking to dinner. Room was quiet and clean. Loved it!!

Hotel was excellent right up to check out. $18 parking charge was added which I did not avail of. The lady at the check out desk was a little rude when I asked for the charge to be removed. Breakfast was included with the stay, same lady tried to charge us for breakfast and again a little rude when I told her it was included in the stay. Otherwise it's a great hotel, amenities are excellent, location is perfect

Great atmosphere for this hotel. Very colorful vibe. Lobby area is great with a very nice bar with great top self options to choose from. Room I was in was great. Looks exactly like how the picture show on here. Only gripe I have is that the sinks hot water did not get hot and there are no microwaves in the room but still overall a great experience and a great hotel. Would highly recommend

The corner room was spacious and clean. Best of all was our check-in experience with Kaylie (SP?). She was so nice and welcoming! She even took a minute to play with our little dog:). The parents weekend welcome gift and drink were a bonus. We will definitely stay here next year.

The hotel staff are exceptional!! The ladies working the check in/out counter were five star!!

We do feel charging guests additional charge for parking was unnecessary, especially paying a pretty penny for our hotel room.

The Aloft Columbia Downtown is a very comfortable and up-to-date lodging choice. Rooms are large, and the hotel is modern and very conveniently located in a pleasing, walkable neighborhood adjacent to downtown Columbia. The fitness facility is also spacious and - crucially - equipped with more than just dumbbells and cardio equipment. I really appreciated the pulley-and-cable gym station, with various attachments and pull-up handles on offer.
