    The breakfast spot bagel and grind was delicious. The bagels were so soft. The rooms were clean and modern. The view of the campus was nice. The staff were helpful and nice. Would definitely come stay here again.

    The TV had very limited channels. I had my grandchildren with me so both of these were inconvenient. Fortunately I had a king size bed and they had to sleep with me. I feel some type of refund on room should have been offered when I informed the desk at check out in addition to the apology that they gave.

    The room looks elegant and super clean and comfortable. The black out shades were an awesome addition and the electronic controls to open and close them (as well as control the lighting) made the room seem high tech and impressive. The front desk staff was not very proactive. We waited to be checked in for like 15 mins because the one person in front of us was taking a lot of time and the staff member didn't acknowledge the line or ask for extra help for the other guests. Every thing is an add on: parking is not complimentary/no microwave in room/breakfast is not included/ no extended checkout without an added fee. Booking.com advertises the place as $129/nt but it ended up being $219 with taxes and parking...then more to get breakfast in the morning. But the place is in a great location and is very clean...also had a bagel shop next door. If you're looking for a convenient quick stay- this is a great place as long as you recognize all the additional costs first.

    During our stay, we were repeatedly disturbed by a barking dog. The noise woke us between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. this morning and was also disruptive the previous night. This significantly impacted our comfort and ability to rest during our stay. We are disappointed by this experience and would appreciate your attention to this matter.

    Nice and clean • Very poor customer service and lack of responsiveness from management. • Check-in was the worst hotel check-in experience I have had. It felt disorganized and unprofessional. • The check-in process took about 30 minutes because the room key did not work. I had to return to the front desk twice. • Instead of changing the room, the hotel sent a maintenance technician to repair the door while I was already inside the room. • I emailed a complaint to the Front Office Manager, but it was completely ignored and I never received a response.

    Wonderful hotel in a central location with easy access to parking and area attractions/restaurants. Interior is beautiful and my room was clean, comfy, and spacious. I had a delicious breakfast at Iron Rooster located inside the hotel on the lobby level. I have no complaints and would definitely choose this hotel again for future stays.

    The parking set up is my only concern because the hotel staff stated that parking is free for people who stay. Meanwhile, they are charging a fee until they receive proof of stay. There needs to be a system that allows the parking management information regarding guests who use the parking facility. The burden of proof of staying at the hotel shouldn’t fall on the guests.

    The emergency alarm went off multiple times and we had to step out but the staff at reception only said “ it was a mistake, nonchalantly” and offered no apology. The lights in the room malfunctioned- flickering for sometime before stabilizing. There’s general lack of attention to service detail at this hotel - reconsider your choices especially if traveling as a family with kids.

    The rooms were clean and very spacious. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. The restaurants were excellent. We stayed here last year and they provided shuttle service. Sadly to say, this service was discontinued after we left last year. Overall this is a great spot to stay at.

    The room and everything about the hotel was a 10/10 minus nothing! I enjoyed the comfortability and accessibility to luxury! I will definitely be there again and again! The staff were nice and helpful! The only thing I suggest is having cutlery and plates, dishwashing soap in the sink and kitchen area. I had the studio king suite

    We really liked that the parking garage is connected, and you don’t have to walk outside (it was raining all weekend). We liked how clean and aesthetic the furniture was. We liked how spacious the rooms were. Staff were really accommodating, and upgraded our room when we told them about how bad the bed was. Loved the bathroom and vanity area. Clean bathrooms in room, housekeeping staff were very hardworking and meticulous. We didn’t like the bed in the room we were in first night. We didn’t like that there were unaccompanied minors and teens were walking around late at night or sitting around at the admissions desk (1-2AM). These kids were using racial slurs towards us and it was extremely inappropriate. We didn’t like that the TV didn’t have Netflix app on it. We didn’t like the temperature in the hallways on the way to the rooms, very muggy & humid. We didn’t like that the hallways smelled because people would leave their trash outside. We didn’t like that the concierge lounge wasn’t clean and kids were running around there as well. We didn’t like how rooms were all different, certain rooms had different brands of coffee or bedding.

    Room was very nice, great decor and very clean. Lots of tech features in the room. Screen controls the lights and blinds. Bed was very firm, honestly not my favorite part. You will find great food options on the main level and plenty within walking distance. There is a nice indoor pool but unfortunately it was not heated and the water was quite cold. I only managed to dip my feet in. Did not utilize the on site spa. I would recommend this hotel and would return if im in this area again.

    This hotel is gorgeous. A luxury hotel at a reasonable price. Absolutely incredible. I deeply want to give more than 3 stars but the food situation was just SO annoying. I stayed for 4 nights and took meals at the hotel. I had to order from the in-hotel restaurant, run up to my room, while it was prepared, and run back down to pick it up. For this pleasure, I was expected to give a tip. (You pay first so I’m not going to take the chance of not tipping and having my food tampered with.) Two nights in a row, I had to go back downstairs a third time bc they forgot an item. Other nights, food wasn’t prepared as I’d requested. The breakfast option was even more disappointing — uninspired chewy bagel (not the good kind of chewy) + watery coffee. Again it’s serve yourself and a tip is expected. The first morning the iced coffee machine was filled with hot coffee. Just not worth it. BUT — if you’re prepared for this and either don’t care or make different eating arrangements, this hotel is top notch. I’ve stayed frequently at a nearby Ritz-Carlton and the lobby, rooms, and amenities at the U of Maryland Hotel are right up there if not better.

    We love this hotel. Staff is so friendly, it's very clean and the food at both restaurants is great. Pool is wonderful. The parking is exceptional and a definite plus. We had Mother's Day brunch which was delicious. My only comment would be to have the bar stay open later on Saturday nights. Last call at 10pm is too early, especially if you are celebrating a special event.

    When we got there our room was 79 degrees. Called and maintenance came. Said it was fixed. After 2 hours it was 78 degrees. Called maintenance again and they came and said they fixed it. By then it was 11pm. It never got below 75 all night. Next morning told the front desk it was never fixed. They said they would send the supervisor. Came back that afternoon and it was still 79 degrees. They put us in a new room. This would have been offered one day one. Took two days to find solution to cooling problem. It took me contacting maintenance/front desk 3 times. No compensation or remedy was offered on day one. The excuse was that the room was a corner room and they are usually warmer. 78 degrees warmer….. I don’t think so.

    Location is awesome - right at the bottom of UMD. They have all these fancy controls for the lights and shades, but this is the second room where one set of panels couldnt control the thing it was supposed to control. Automation for the sake of automation isn't always worth it.

    The rooms are clean and modern and very well kept. Parking is very convenient in the garage although I’m not happy with a $15 per night fee. Excellent bagel place with fresh homemade bagels for breakfast on the property. Overall, very beautiful hotel.

    The entryway is beautiful and there are a handful of eating options within the building. The staff were all friendly and helpful. But they could improve on some of the details. The pool water was lukewarm and there was debris laying on the bottom. The wallpaper was peeling off in multiple locations in our room and all the lights would sporadically turn off (we were in the ADA room). Trips to DC are doable but it's a 20 min walk to the metro station then a 30 ride to downtown, so we ended up taking Lyft most days instead which was just a bit more expensive, depending on time of day, for our family of 4.

    My son and I were really impressed with the property. We were there to visit the school. The visitor center located in the hotel was very helpful and the campus was literally across the street. Ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were excellent.. would definitely stay there again

    The entire hotel and room was extremely clean. The staff was so professional and helpful throughout. There are some cool and unique shops nearby, checked out Board and Brew and GrillMax, both were amazing. The hotel is business-friendly if you need that with lots of conference rooms and open spaces.

    the first time it was amazing! this time was somewhat so so.. 1. when i arirved abd checked in i requested extra blankets and pillow, fron desk supposedly wrote down our request.. came back around 8:30pm - no pillows and blanket.. wentdownstairs to the lobby and reuested again.. finally at 11:30 pm when im about to sleep.. big banging on the door.. with room service.. 2. first night was getting a bit warm outside.. so i lower thw thermostat.. next morning seems the temp did not nudge at all.. during the 2nd day temp outside reached 80s, the room maintained 25C but it seems the control could drop it lower but thwrmostat in the room was at 25c. I complained to the front desk before checkout the 2nd nite and gave me a $150 compensation.. the front desk was helpful and accomodating... but for this caliber of hotel i was expecting more compared to the last time we stayed.. the big difference between now and the last time last time we stayed in the room facing the school.. and this time we stayed and grabbed a last minute deals.. overall it was a decent stay.. just two different experience with the rooms... i would stay there again.. near to school, restaurant, parking is very convinient... and lastly quite clean..

    Location was great if you're visiting UMD. The room was clean, generously sized, modern, quiet, comfortable, and had excellent lighting features. My teenage son and I slept SO hard in the comfortable beds. We appreciated the separate toilet room and the use of a shower curtain rather than a glass shower enclosure because it allows one of us to enter the bathroom while the other is in the shower. Wished we had options to hang our bath towels to dry and reuse, but used the closet for this. Appreciated the bar in the shower to hang our washcloths and the large ledge along the tub to place our travel toiletries. The counter space around the sink was large enough and we were glad there was a towel bar for our hand towels. Yes, I notice these things and I'm constantly amazed at how many hotel rooms don't offer these little details that allow you to function comfortably like you're at home. Water pressure was good and the shower head was sufficient - I hate the rain showers, so I was glad this wasn't an issue in this room. The window sheers and blackout shades went up an down with the push of a button on the wall - nice. Lighting was outstanding throughout the room. Loved the dimmer switch option in the toilet room for early mornings and loved all the lighting options in the space to brighten or soften the amount of light. For those who care, the lighting did not cause any glare. Room air was fresh and climate control was responsive. Highly recommend!

    Do not reserve a room at this hotel!! They allow overbooking, and then once the rooms are filled day of check in, they will cancel your room. I showed up for a dance competition, and my room had been canceled for this reason. I had to quickly find another hotel and then we were staying down the street instead of in the hotel where the competition was. None of the staff ever said I’m sorry or seemed to care at all that I was inconvenienced by this.

    Very clean room. In fact every place we went inside the hotel was clean. I have a huge pet peeve regarding places with fabric covered furniture who do not clean it properly resulting in multiple stains. However that was NOT the case with this hotel. Even the fabric colored chairs and the lobby were clean and Free from spots and stains. The hotel has the appearance of being well cared for with attention to detail. Not only will I stay here again when I am in the DMV area but I am highly recommending this for everyone that I know who may also visit that location.

    My wife and I stayed here for two nights in early December. On the second day, while we were out having lunch in Georgetown, I received an urgent voicemail stating that our room needed to be changed that day and that our belongings would be moved immediately if we did not return. This was the first time we had heard anything about a room change. There was no prior notice, explanation, or discussion. When I called the hotel back, the tone was off-putting. There was an assumption that I had already been informed and an implication that I was ignoring something I “should have known,” which simply was not true. We cut our plans short and returned to the hotel. Only then were we told there was a private event on the floor we were booked on and that we therefore had to move rooms. This raised the obvious question of why this was not known in advance or communicated at check-in. After speaking with a manager, I went to retrieve our belongings, only to find my room key had already been deactivated. I then had to wait about 30 minutes for an escort to access the room. We were promised a $100 refund for the disrupted night. That refund never came. Multiple follow-up calls resulted in promises of a manager callback that never happened. We have stayed here several times before without issue, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. The issue was not the room, but how this situation was handled.

    I stayed last night. The room looks fine in the first place, but when I’m about to go to sleep , the light wouldn’t turn off no matter what I do. The hotel has this “fancy” control of lights which didn’t work in my room. I called the front desk and it took them around 30 mins to come… As you can imagine it’s late and I’m frustrated. Then I switched to a different room and fell asleep angrily. This morning I’m trying to open the curtain using another of their fancy control panel, and you know what, I couldn’t open the curtain.. The whole hotel looks like a joke to me.

    This hotel is absolutely stunning!! The photos online are exactly as pictured. The ambiance, decor and cleanliness are outstanding. If you're in College Park, MD, this is the hotel to stay. There are several restaurants downstairs that will delight any palate. One of my favorites was the Iron Rooster, they serve, breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Also, the quietness to each room was astounding, I never heard my neighbor, and the hotel was booked and busy with several events. They hosted a meet and greet, a birthday party and a reunion. Never once did I hear guess in the hallway loudly, music and or any noise that was disruptive to my stay. This is literally the best hotel in College Park!!!

    This is one of my favorite hotels in Maryland. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly. I beautiful hotel. It is so nice I stayed twice in less than a eeek. 4 days church conference business and two later came back and stayed when my nephew got married. No matter the shift, the staff is amazing!!!!!!!

    They was also a loud banging noise that went on during the whole stay. It came from along the windows. The room was clean, but showing signs of wear and tear. Parking was good, but the garage is not easily accessible from the hotel and there were stairs that you had to carry your suitcases up and down to get to the elevators.

    The heat was not working, tub was not cleaned, the gate would not open to get out kept asking for payment and the fire alarms went off at 5 am but no one notified us it was a false alarm until we called from outside the hotel due to everyone had to evacuate.

    This was an excellent hotel to stay in. Very nice, very clean. A huge weight room was an added bonus! The only issue we had was we had a hard time breathing in the room when the air conditioner was on the first night. It was obvious the air filter needed to be changed. I told the front desk the next morning and by the time we came home late afternoon it had been changed and we could breathe again! Would definitely stay here again.

    The staff are incredibly professional and nice. This was my second time staying at the hotel and had to switch rooms bc of some noisy pipes, noticed the three rooms I’ve seen have different toiletries provided which is a bit odd. The bathroom tile floor is white and was showing some dirty spots. The bed is very comfortable though!

    You have to watch staff when they processing you for your room. My credit card was stolen by one of the staff members once I noticed it, I called the local police who advised me to cancel the credit card and to check if any other charges were charged to the credit card. Front desk not professional at all seem to joke around a lot.

    Internet was spotty and frustrating. It’s not far from the Metro, which is super convenient. The main drag outside can be loud, and The Hotel hosts lots of kids who have trouble regulating their voices late at night.They’re just having fun but SOME of us have to get up early in the morning. The Hotel tries hard to be fancy, but it is more utilitarian than luxe—that was my experience. I’d say it’s fine, but on the expensive side for what you get.

    So while there the facility was clean and thriving and full of courteous people! But - the main bar was closed and surrounded by black wall off curtains. Sad because I was meeting a nephew for a drink:( The pool was empty- because it was FREEZING and not worth trying to get in to. So those two inconveniences had me rate it lower than I would have. We have to go back in November and I am hoping these issues are rectified .

    Our stay was great. The room was clean and comfortable I had a great night sleep after a long hours of travel. The beds were so convenient. One thing I appreciated most was that shower head that brings out high pressure water that can literally massage your body while shower I enjoyed it . That was exactly what I needed after all the stressful day I had driving long distance.

    I really had a horrible experience stay at this hotel, we were there for the competition. i smelled something strange when i went to the bed. it took a while for me to realize that the smell of pee from the bed i was shocked and couldn't believe what happened. feel disgusting, they did change the room for me after i complained the situation. they declined my request for refund, and i haven't received any sorry letter from the hotel. they just want to forget it. i don't mind, only have know that next time when i check in the hotel, i have to smell the bed first.
