The hotel is praised for its spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and excellent location in Claremont Village. However, several guests have noted issues with room maintenance and privacy, as well as mixed experiences with staff and service.

Hotel was ideal. Great happy hour, excellent staff. Very nice location.

Super clean and very modern setting; especially enjoyed the bath soaking tub; very comfortable bed; love the door facing the courtyard with trees for serenity and tranquility.

People screaming and very loud after 11 pm. Overall not a great place …not for the money we paid …3 nights for over $1000…there are way better options . Room were very large 5 stars on that !

By far the best location for the Claremont Colleges . Lovely rooms and very good breakfast . Very good staff at reception. They could do more with the court yard which is the only communal area. I think they missing a trick there as it’s full of leaves and dusty despite their conscientious efforts to keep clearing it. They should look at revamping it as it could be a welcoming haven instead of a little grimy

Location, nice courtyard, friendly and accommodating staff, easy parking. Bed was very comfortable and immense bathtub a plus. It can be a bit loud with restaurants behind and interior courtyard. Also some interior noise transmits from rooms above. No gym but lots of great local hiking and walking.

For the price point it leaves a lot to be desired. First the positives, the staff at check in was absolutely fabulous, and through the evening brought me ice even though it was only enough for one drink , and also hand delivered my doordash order later. Wish I would of gotten the gals name. The lady in the morning during check out wasn't nearly as friendly or welcoming. Now the negatives, for the price point I'd expect to be able to go get ice as needed once the lounge closed no ice available and since the mini fridge didn't cool at all when I ordered a bag from the store it just melted. For parking you have to park in the public structure across the street and if you arrive during a busy time no place to park in front of the hotel for check in so you have to match your luggage across the street. Then March back over to put your pass in the dash to not be towed. Very limited channel selection. The porch/balcony is actually just the wall way where everyone gets to the rooms so you have people walking in front of you constantly. 11 o'clock check out but the maids start coming in your room at 945-10 a.m. also I think the boilers can't keep up with morning demand as the hot water just kept going completely off and coming back on. Mini fridge had last guest items still in it. I felt the same about the blue lantern in dana point but at least it had a view.

This place was wonderful! The breakfast was varied, good, and you can take it to this beautiful setting on an outdoor patio. Leisurely and peaceful. The staff was incredibly helpful - with some tech issues I had, giving me tips about getting to LAX, and getting around in general. The front desk people knew what they were talking about and very gracious, kind and knowledgable. I would stay here any time I am in Claremont and recommend it highly.

It’s a beautiful hotel with old time charm at first glance but once you get in to the rooms it is very modern and clean, tastefully designed. During our stay it was raining and just sitting in the room and opening up the large glass doors and watching the charming courtyard made our stay much more enjoyable. At night there is a courtyard which is open to public and they serve great food and drinks and even if you’re not staying at the hotel you can still enjoy the outdoor sitting and drinks. Will definitely recommend to whoever wants to visit Claremont.

Location within a very cute and walkable town Not that I didn’t like this, but it’s one of the criticisms I have for smaller boutique hotels and that is restaurant bar closes early. This is a holiday weekend and it would’ve been nice if those things are open until midnight rather than closing at nine.

Great location. Walking distance to multiple restaurants, many of which are across the street in the old Claremont Packing House. (An old renovated packing plant for the citrus industry). Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included, and the food is very good. We ate in the restaurant which allows seating in the open courtyard and featured live music on the weekend. The food for dinner was delicious. The only possible drawback is if you want to sleep early....on Friday and Saturday there was live music in the courtyard until around 9:30 pm.

Excellent location, great breakfast. There were a few small things broken in the room which is why I think it's a 4/5 stay. Some minor improvements like loose faucet and cracked light switches would go a long way, also bed is not comfy at all. I stayed for a week so I gave it a good go.

The staff was amazing, so helpful. The bar was wonderful, great drinks and food. Breakfast was better by far than most hotels. The outdoor patio area is huge and with inviting couches and firepits. The room was big and has very nice furnishings. Claremont is a beautiful college town. We took a nice walk each morning. There are eateries everywhere and a very nice plaza with a movie theater on the same block as the hotel. The only down side is the metro into LA is nearby. You do hear the train go by about a block and a half away. They are short as you hear them wiz by, but do happen throughout the day. It didn't bother us at all. On the upside if you are going to LA it will take you right downtown and you can Uber anywhere from there.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with a fantastic breakfast and parking included I loved the cute town and there were so many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We spent a Saturday night there. That night, it was noisy in the courtyard and behind the building there was some kind of concert going on. It was quiet by 11:30. I did appreciate that the hotel provided 1 set of earplugs and 2 delicious cookies in our room. I would stay again.

Breakfast, bartender, and commitment to sustainability were excellent. Bed was comfy. Cleaners were great. Shower was good. Enough outlets for all my chargers. Great patio. Check out time was a little early. Not sure where the stairs were - had to use the elevator.

The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The large patio balcony was so relaxing and fun. The layout of the hotel was easy to get around and the open main floor patio with lights was nice to just sit and hang out with friends and family. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Nothing, it was a great stay.

Casa 425 is a very nice boutique hotel. Nicely appointed, clean, comfy rooms, plush bed, nice bathroom, overall a nice, brief stay. I liked the courtyard and 'lounge' vibe. They have a decent restaurant/bar with good food and drinks. The continental breakfast was actually pretty good. The hotel does have a bar, although I didn't visit the bar directly. The hotel located in the Claremont village so there are lots of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Being a boutique style hotel, there is no pool or spa area just fyi. There is parking available but it is located across the street in a public parking garage, but you have to park at level 2 or above. Otherwise, no real complaints here.
- 4/5
Room and BR is spacious and comfortable. Iron, hairdryer, & refrigerator are nice in-room amenities. Room service from the on-site restaurant/bar was good. Location is within walking distance to lots of shops & restaurants. Loved the vibe of the outdoor courtyard lounge area. The very loud live music/ singers playing in the courtyard each night made it impossible to relax, read, watch TV, or sleep in my room until after 11:00 pm. I was traveling for work and had to be at 8:00am meetings Thursday-Sunday. I felt like I was staying at a nightclub instead of a hotel where people sleep. My room was on the 2nd floor, west side…were the speakers pointed right at my room?

I love the hotel, I'm a Four Sisters fan :) great bar, food and service. Great location, I visit family once a year and this is my choice of locations, they are in the Claremont and OC areas and unless you go to the coast there are no good options. I felt the room was better appointed this time, but there is a musty moldy smell, maybe the air filters need changed or there is a leak

Check out lady strangely made me feel like an unwelcome guest. I previously asked for late checkout and was texted that I could get one extra hour and otherwise should pay for another night. At 11:30 while I was in the bathroom they called my room. I couldn’t answer and was getting dressed when the front desk lady knocked and opened the door. I told her I thought my checkout was noon. She said she didn’t know and left. When I checked out at 11:55 she said she’d take care of the bill. And that was it. Cold. No have a nice day. Nothing. I was hoping this hotel could be our home while my son attends college nearby. But I would have a hard time coming back.

Good location. Rooms are spacious, but overall fairly dated. The only door into the room (and really only daylight) is a giant sliding glass door that wouldn't lock properly. To have any daylight in the room the drapes had to be open which then allowed full view of everyone into the room by the whole courtyard. There was rarely someone actually working the front desk and when I needed help (my key card stopped working, I needed a printed receipt) I couldn't find anyone to help me. If the service were better I would rate it higher. Parking was also a challenge.

They first put me in a room with bad plumbing and the water flood in the shower with really bad odor. Phone didn’t work so I had to walk up to customer service desk to tell them. Then the next day, my cleaning lady didn’t clean my room. I just asked for extra towels when I saw her cleaning another room. I didn’t want to bother anymore. But overall it was a beautiful hotel.

From check in to departure, our experience was excellent. The staff was friendly and very competent. The room was large and very well maintained. We loved the location with its proximity to the town of Claremont and the colleges (parked the car when we arrived and didn't move it until we left.). This is definitely our first choice hotel in the area.

Other than that, the place was clean, organized, and staff was friendly and helpful. Incredibly close to the entire Claremont shopping area. Hope you enjoy your stay like we did!

Excellent service and great room. I would have appreciated a softer mattress and a little less noise from outside the hotel; however, totally expected due to its location. No wine in the room as the VIP perk from Expedia suggested.

Have stayed here before. The property is in need of refreshing and is showing it's age. The staff was wonderful as always. The breakfast offering was poor.

We loved the modern room that opened up to the courtyard bar. This is a fun, modern hotel situated perfectly near restaurants. My only complaint was after booking a room with a sofa bed to accommodate 3 adults, we were contacted the day before checking in to ask if the 3rd person would be using the sofa bed; if so there would be an additional $20 charge to make up the bed!

The hotel was super convenient to the college campus which was great for our needs. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean. Our only issue during the stay was street noise which is not under the control of the hotel or staff (if it were I have no doubt they would have fixed it). Seems every motorcycle and muffler-less car uses the street the hotel is on at all hours of the night.

The property is lovely, centrally located. However, our room was in need of repair and updating. Fixtures were worn and dated and used. There was rust in the bathroom. Grout around shower floor and bath tub were dirty and old. The room has good bones and amazing tub, but it needs a refresh.

This property is very cool and unique to the area. We loved that it was near everything, shops and restaurants across the street and all around. a bar outside my room basically with good food options and easy access to almost anything.

Our first room at check in didn’t have a working tv/cable. So the hotel switched us to a very nice room and and everything was perfect. This is our second stay at this hotel although we only live 30 min away. It has great venues for food and drinks and it’s small enough to where the customer service is quick and personalized. The rooms are huge and well appointed and of course the big tub in the middle of the room is what attracts us most. It’s the only one of its kind in the area.

The staff at Hotel Casa 425 was very accommodating and understanding after I accidentally booked our room for the wrong night. They quickly resolved my mistake while I was on a cross-country flight. We landed to a kind message letting us know it was adjusted and our new confirmation. The property is in a wonderful location with charming shops and restaurants all in walking distance. The beds are very comfortable, and the large bathtub was much needed after a very long flight. Happy hour in the courtyard is lovely as well.

The room was nice and clean. I couldn’t get the air conditioner to cool the room enough. It felt warmer than I would have liked to sleep in. The continental breakfast was good but not enough protein, lots of carbs. Bed was firm and pillows were a little to firm for my liking

Lovely room facing quiet courtyard.

Very clean and spacious room. They left us a bottle of wine and two glasses and tea lights. They even put a little birthday card in the room and put some music on for us for when we arrive. It’s the little extra touches that go a long way. We ate downstairs in the lounge and we were seated right away. They are very attentive staff and a nice property.

Enjoyed but in this world was disappointing they had no extra plugs for phones or iPads.

This is a boutique property located in a college town surrounded by interesting shops and restaurants within strolling distance. This would probably be a 4-5 star property normally, however they are in recovery mode at present. A child size snack dropped at our door most mornings was the only service we received during our stay. If the TV is important to you have them show you it works before you step into the room. The items on their Bites menu were good, there are no carry outs however. Be aware that parking in the evenings could involve an elevator in the four floor garage, crossing the street and 11 steps or a long ramp to get to the hotel. Overall a nice place with very clean and quiet rooms. Currently they are overpriced and focused on operations rather than the guests but give them some time.

Enormous rooms with huge windows and the most comfortable pillow and bed! Loved this hotel!

A very nice, clean hotel that is centralized to restaurants and shopping.

To be clear the parking is in a parking garage across the street. They provide a parking pass and give clear instructions where to park. The lobby was clean and easy to access. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions.

Our stay was good. The location is the best part about the hotel - walking distance to great restaurants and the downtown shops. One thing to be aware of - the nice pictures of the patio doors are actually the front door that open out to the guest walkways (For the King Bed suites)... so in general you keep those drapes closed most of your stay for privacy. Also there is a Lounge - as it says in the name - basically a bar that is open from 4-10pm - those people sit in the nice patio area in the center courtyard - so it is kind of noisy if it's busy... we had a 3rd floor room so were removed from it, but I don't think I would have liked a ground floor room here since they would have been right outside the front door! Breakfast was nice - they delivered a bag of continental type breakfast in the am - we enjoyed it on the table out in front of our room (but again this area is not private, other guests will walk by you). Also due to covid staff does not enter your room during your stay if you are there for more than one night - not a big deal, just something to be aware of. The mattress is memory foam - which I've never had before in a hotel, it was okay, not what I'm used to sleeping on but comfortable enough. Bathtub was great for soaking, room was very spacious. We had a nice relaxing weekend stay here.

Beautiful ambiance!! Will definitely be back and the strip down across the street is super convenient for date night with bae.

On the booking site it says that it comes with robe and bottle water, but I just couldn’t find them in the room. I need to ask a simple question, so I called the front desk between 9am and 10:30am, I called 5 to 6 times, no one picked up the phone. I had to go downstairs to the front desk just to ask a simple question. The environment is very comfortable, the service is not ok.

The hotel is very modern and unique. It's located in the heart of a small town with great shops and restaurants.

These rooms are swanky!! Such a nice romantic setting. The only downside was there were loud noises early in the morning.

Staff was very responsive to needs and requests. Everything was clean. Hotel is walking distance to many restaurants with outdoor dining. Despite its central location, it was nice and quiet in the room.

Nice rooms with comfortable beds. The continental breakfasts were pretty pathetic though. An aussie bite is not a blueberry muffin.

I travel for business but I can honestly say that this was hands down the best hotel that I’ve stayed at in SOCAL. The room was amazing, the location was so picturesque, and the food and drinks were great! The service was amazing too. I can’t wait to come back!
