The room we stayed in was extremely dirty and from the window you can see about 6 homeless people sleeping . There was also police activity and a guy arrested during our stay unsure the reasoning but we didn’t feel safe at this property at all .

The bed was a actually oddly comfortable. Horrible location. Do not recommend for families or really anyone . Rooms smelled like smoke , room was extremely dirty , there was chips on chairs and in the drawers , hair in between the bed sheets . No breakfast anymore at this location as they stopped that a few weeks ago apparently. I had to cancel the rest of stay, the area was super sketchy. When I first arrived some dude was talking out loud he needs to fight someone. I was on the 4th floor , sorry way to high for me .

I'm not usually one to complain like this, but had I known the free breakfast was no longer being offered and the hot tub was broken, I would have requested a refund and changed my hotel. I traveled from arizona and was hoping to have these available to me to make the trip a bit easier. My keycard stopped working 2 times during a 4 day trip, my upstairs neighbor played loud music as well through the night. Staff was friendly and the room was clean enough, but wish I could get even partially refunded for the lack of working amenities and breakfast that then cost me $15/day to get.

One reason I booked this hotel was for the included breakfast, but I learned when I checked in that there was no breakfast. The room was very clean and the staff was nice. I would definitely come back, but it shouldn’t say breakfast included, so people know what to expect.

We stayed here May 21-24 rooms were clean, ac worked perfectly fine. They DO NOT offer free breakfast at all. We had a room right next to the elevator so we heard a lot stomping and a lot walking around.

We were by an elevator & a storage room which made it worse & we heard the elevator door bell ring every single time someone used it and walked by. For $171 a night it’s definitely not worth it. Don’t spend your $$ here. Especially when you’re gonna advertise free breakfast but not lol thanks

Upon making the reservation, it stated that it included breakfast. I asked the clerk what hours for breakfast and stated that they no longer have breakfast. Also the mattress looks big and comfortable but it is not. You sink in it. Not firm at all. We got a room on the first floor. So all night you can hear the noise next door, the noise from second floor. Very loud.

BUT, the website said that breakfast in included in the rate, There was no breakfast (staff cited franchise policy changes), there was not coffee in the room or even in the lobby. This is a BIG minus. I could see through the shade on the window to the walkway. Presumably people could see in, too. I had to put a towel over the shade and window to feel that I had privacy. When I first turned on the water in the shower, it came out brown. Shower pressure and temperature were, however, good. Every few minutes, the TV feed would freeze then jump forward which made enjoying a show difficult. The air conditioner did not work properly. It was necessary to set the temperature to 62 degrees to get the fan to turn on. Fortunately, it did not chill the room to 62 degrees. Perhaps a compressor issue. The easy chair in my room looked as though it had been marked by a child using a marker and an ineffective cleaner was used on it. Very disagreeable. Construction is taking place at the hotel. It last until after 19:00 my first night and started at 06:40 on my departure day. All in all, if they fix the maintenance and cleaning (chair) issues and stop lying about the breakfast, I think it will be a delightful little hotel in a good location.

Its a nice place, however, free breakfast does not include any protein, bagels, bread, yogurt and cereals only. WiFi is very spotty on second floor. There is a water dispenser in the breakfast area but it is not accessible in the evening. Safety is ok. Very nice lobby staff.

Nothing From a glance, pictures made the place look neat and clean. But was I so wrong, never stayed in an INN before. The place was dirty, I mean the floor where dirty, people hair everywhere, pieces of chips and a ton of dust. Made me very uncomfortable to be there, the pool even worse, apparently there was glass inside the pool, proceeded to tell me once my kids were going in it. Instead of closing it down. It definitely a place to stay as a last resort type of situation. Not worth $140 a night.

My experience with this hotel was horrible. To start off the breakfast consists of to-go yogurts and packaged blueberry muffin and that’s it. The bathroom shower curtains were yellow and there was grime on the bathtub. The amenity soap was not even filled up. There was also domestic violence disputes happening at 3 in the morning and after contacting the front desk they went to go check and the guests were leaving. The walls are so thin and you can hear everything so it kept us up all night. Lastly the air conditioner is SO loud so we had to turn it off also in order to get some sleep. This was one of the lower priced hotels near the San Diego/Chula Vista area but I definitely suggest spending a couple extra bucks in order to get a better hotel. I would definitely not recommend nor go back.

Clean room, safe property. A bit disappointing to be given a 3rd floor room with a dog. We were not educated that the door must be opened in a particular way or it will stick. Didn’t discover that until I had to go to the front desk because my kid was inside.

Amenities not all in working order, no jacuzzi. Cleanliness is a 0.. pool full of trash and hair.. room seemed clean at first but I walked around barefoot for 30 minutes before bed and my feet were black from the dirty wood floors. Bathtub and sink had hair buildup and didn’t drain properly and the beds felt dirty as if the sheets were not washed.. I had a suite with my 4 children and we won’t be returning.

This was one of the most dirtiest hotels ive ever stayed at. The bathroom was disgusting, urine stains on toilet, floor was dirty, stains on sheets and pillows. If i could give it a negative start I would. Not to mention the sketch people outside looking like they are selling drugs and hookers. Loud people late at night and you could hear everything through the walls. Horrible.

HORRIBLE. Alot of bugs inside the room. Mold on sink. Smells like TJ with their fabuloso. Ghetto, cops showed up around 10pm for some incident. Gangsters and prostitution. Did not feel safe, couldn’t even go to the pool. You can hear the upstairs people running, walking, jumping. Breakfast is poor. Coffee was out both regular and decaf out not refilled. Will NOT be staying here ever again and I do NOT recommend it. Not family friendly.

Breakfast was a joke. Very few cereal and toast options. Coffee out the first day. Hot tub broken despite being told before booking that everything worked. Also was told roll away bed available, but when we arrived was told they dont do this. Also will not clean room daily even upon request. Will only clean every 3rd day. Will bring towels daily if requested every morning. Pool and hot tub also dirty. 2nd day 4-5 cop cars were arresting someone. 2nd night was kept awake by loud music in the area at 2 am to 5 am. Overall poor quality place.

The room was wonderful. The only issue is there was no table in the room because it had broken and not been replaced. Also there was only 1 ac which was fine because it was cool out bit would've been rough had it been summer. Also the spa was broken which was a bunmer. I have to say inwas very disappointed with their continental breakfast. They offered packaged muffins and yougurt cups and that was it. No juice no milk or cereal ect. We ended up walking to the convenience store to get something for my kids to eat.

Staff members were nice. The people on the top floor kept on running nonstop making it hard to rest at night time. So noise level was high. Just like the month before when we stayed 2 nights because I had a biopsy done and needed to rest. And they didn’t even give me the handicap room I booked. At least this time I got a handicap room.

I came to the desk office and asked to clean the next day and bring clean towels. They came and made room up a bit. Looks like they made an attempt to wash floors, yet still, not sure what they did - sticky dirty stained floors. Oh and dirty bathtub. Yes, it is not expensive place, but as easy as clean floors ... Plus thin walls and you can hear every neighbor. Overall - very dirty place. Nice people.

Breakfast that was included could not be provided earlier than 7 AM, even though we asked in advance. The noise was unbearable — someone above our room was constantly jumping and banging on the floor and walls, even around 11 PM, making it impossible to sleep. In addition, the bathroom smelled strongly of smoke. Broken equipment in the room: the hair dryer did not work and the TV had no sound at all. Housekeeping made sure that we had all the necessities every day, the rooms are clean and comfortable and staff is pleasant. I would definitely return to the Days Inn Chula Vista

The staff are polite and very accommodating. The furniture is worn though rooms are clean. The walls are thin. I had a couple having a nasty domestic dispute in next door room for a few minutes that woke me up, but resolved quickly.

it was clean, people staying at the hotel, with very low consideration, loud noise, loud walking up and down, people talking very loud at very early morning 2 am 3 am, no consideration using the premises, specially during the week (Tuesday night), people have to work, there was no one regulating the premises. I guess this is what is what I got at the price we paid. I don't know.

Room needs lots of improvement, AC doesn't work 😒, the pool was not heated,, I can hear the noise from another rooms , I'm sorry but I can't recommend it , actually I will never come back , the only good experience was with the attendant, He was very helpful and attentive

My experience was not pleasant due to the condition of the room.I found mold in the shower and noticeable dirt buildup in areas including the soap holder where there was soap residue that appeared not to have been cleaned for some time.There was dust on the floor hairs and dust behind the doors.I also found eyelashes between the bed sheets.I arrived at the hotel late and was very tired so I did not initially notice these issues.The room smelled clean which gave the impression that it had been properly serviced and I did not inspect it closely at that time.However it later became clear that housekeeping may not be paying close attention to certain areas such as behind doors and it appeared that the bedding may not have been properly changed.When I checked out I informed the front desk associate who was very kind and provided me with the manager’s business card. I spoke with the manager San Barot today.He advised that because I did not book the room directly through the hotel, there was nothing he could do and suggested that I contact you directly.I explained that my intention is not simply to complain but rather to express my concern.As a guest I expect the room to meet basic cleanliness standards especially considering the amount paid.I understand that management cannot personally inspect every room it is important to bring these matters to their attention.Given the condition of the room I do not feel it is fair to pay the full amount charged.I have pics to provide. This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I booked for two nights. Unfortunately, I had to request a refund due to the unacceptable condition of the room. The room was extremely dirty — there was a spider on the bed, dust and trash behind the nightstand, and it was obvious that the cleaners do not clean thoroughly at all. The bathroom was disgusting, with hair all over the walls. This is not what anyone expects when checking into a hotel. I do not recommend staying here and would avoid this place at all costs.

This had to be the worse hotel experience I ever had, I went to chulavista for a Family funeral, and had the worst experience ever, as soon as I was going up the elevator, I got a bad whiff of people smoking you know what, and the rooms smelled like that too, it lookalike the hotel knows because the try to cover it with pinesol but it still smells very bad, I called the front office and I told them I couldn’t stay there, because I also saw a lot of girls getting picked up and arriving with different man, while we were waiting at the parking lot for other family members, I said, I don’t think it’s a safe environment because I have a family , I came with my kids to stay at a hotel, for couple days for the funeral , and I told them I could stay this night because I am here and tired coming from 6 hour drive , but can you cancel tomorrow and the guy said yes just come in the office tomorrow, when I get there the next day, the guy said no I can’t give you the money back, even when I explain the situation, he wanted me to give me a different room I said no that’s no going to change anything, my niece that was staying there with her kids also came to the office and was told the Same that they couldn’t give her the money back for cancellation, I called the third party company that I paid for hotel and they said they were going to try to get my refund back to don’t work about it , if it wasn’t safe I didn’t have to stay there, I just got an email of Expedia saying I lost my refund 😡

I wasn’t aware of the reputation of this hotel until a friend told me. The room was not clean enough. The bathroom smell like pee. The bed sheets were dirty. Apparently the hotel is known for homeless people. I didn’t ended staying. I don’t recommend staying here.

When i first checked in the room is so dirty. But luckily the staff are friendly. They change the room.

Tv did not work in the room. Bug flying in the room. Asked to change rooms was told they were sold out and no available rooms.

The breakfast was inexistant, only a few yogurts and muffins plus an horrible coffee.

The area felt very unsafe, with police frequently coming to the hotel. On the second day, a man staying next door was arrested, which was very disturbing. Despite paying a higher price due to the holiday season, the “free breakfast” was very limited—only coffee, tea, yogurt, and bread. The hotel said they were short-staffed because of the holiday, which does not make sense given the higher rates. I would never stay here again.

Dirty sheets like they didn’t change them. Also a used soap with hairs inside the restroom and trash was not empty. I just stayed because I got there at 3am with my children and sister.

When I showed up I checked in and the check-in . We went up to the room which was 215 second floor. We got undressed put our shorts on to go to the hot tub I stuck my foot in the hot tub and it was freezing cold. The reason why I booked this hotel was because it had a hot tub and I wanted to be able to relax. That was the first thing that went wrong. We went back upstairs figured that I'd watch some TV with my daughter who will only get to see every other weekend. We turn on the TV start flipping through channels we realize that they didn't have Wi-Fi so we can put Netflix on so we just watch the regular TV 10 minutes into the program the screen turns black but the ideal continues to run so we could hear the TV but we can't see it I try to troubleshoot it that's why I ended up turning off the TV turning it back on and it happened again now we're frustrated and we just used our phones to watch Netflix. We're getting ready for bed so I decided that I was going to take a shower, I get in the shower turn the water on wait till it gets hot then I realize being in the shower and start getting too hot so I went to turn it down so I didn't get burned and the handle to the faucet falls off now I'm getting burnt by the heat from the water I jump out immediately try to cool off and then start fishing for the faucet handle I figured it out after a couple tries and I turned off. And then breakfast was a meal for a child extra small yogurt extra small muffin and coffee very disappointed

The staff at the front desk were very nice. The only bad part was our room had a strong smell of bleach, the curtains were torn, the floor wasn’t sweep neither where the lamps shades they were full of dust and they re was no parking one night.

When I arrived the lobby was full of police, which isn't surprising because we had a great view of the prostitutes and drug dealers conducting business in and around the hotel.

First room had wet bed sheets and they were stained yellow. Changed rooms immediately. Rooms felt old. Dis the trick, needed to sleep for a few hours.

i’m not going to lie the staff was nice, but when we got there it was kind of dirty and there was like little hairs all over the bed. plus stains on the sheets. and on top of that the address that expedia has on their website is not the correct address. so we got there late and was late to a concert.

The noise in the room was awful as well. It sounded like people partying until late into the night, having loud conversations, slamming and banging floors and walls. The guy at the front desk was nice and recommended some restaurants in the area. Overall, I would give this place 2/5 but I guess you get what you pay for. I was there for business and didn’t find my stay to be particularly relaxing. I will definitely reconsider another hotel in the future.

Clean rooms, fluffy pillows, spacious bathrooms, kids playing around and secured parking. Courteous lobby staff, friendly housekeepers and attentive maintenance service. It's not overly strict so there's room to breathe and relax, specifically when you know your kids are not bothering anyone with their laughter (moms get this) Overall quite enjoyable.

Needs better windows and when we asked for towels they only gave us 4 for 6 people no more than that

The hot tub was broken and was not warm at all. We had to fight with staff to get extra towels. The location around wasnt the greatest but it wasnt horrible. Breakfast was mediocre at best. No coffee machines in the rooms

At approximately 11:40 PM, a group of guests attempted to enter my room using a key card that matched my room number 202. It was alarming to discover that their key had my room number printed on it. About five minutes later, the front desk clerk — the same person who had checked me in earlier — came to my door asking for my name and check-in time, stating it was an “error.” The following morning, around 8:50 AM, I was again disturbed by loud banging on my room door and window, followed by someone pulling on the door handle as if trying to enter. This went on for several minutes. When I looked out the window, a man outside asked, “Is this room 204?” despite the number being clearly displayed. When I checked out, I reported both incidents to the front desk, but the same employee from the night before simply apologized and said he emailed his general manager. I left feeling unsafe and extremely disappointed by how this was handled. I am requesting that this matter be investigated seriously. Guest safety and privacy are basic expectations, and these repeated incidents were unacceptable. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and let me know what actions will be taken. the sound resonates heavily when people are walking in the hallway. It kept me up all night. Not sure how that can be fixed. Maybe adding caepet to the hallways?

The lobby attendant Prince was very polite and helpful in switching my rooms. And accommodating me with a Clean room with Clean blankets! Overall, the pillows were soft,The towels were soft. I had a pleasant sleep. I think the breakfast needs improvement, wasn’t up to standards when it says breakfast included, you would think it would actually be something a little better than a bowl of cereal and a small muffin.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was filthy! Gritty floors, hair in the shower, and an overall feeling that it hadn’t been cleaned properly in weeks. Also not to mention in my reservation i asked for "extra towels" to only check-in and have NOT ONE TOWEL for a 3-day stay. The front desk staff were incredibly unhelpful. If you need towels or basic amenities, they expect you to come down and get them yourself, with no courtesy or concern. Even worse, the parking lot felt unsafe. I witnessed drugs being used and sold openly, which made me extremely uncomfortable and concerned for my safety. The pool was just as bad, dirty and clearly neglected. I would not recommend this property to anyone, especially families or solo travelers. It’s not just unpleasant, it’s dangerous.

I needed a place to stay that’s close to the hospital- the affordable pricing appealed to me along with the renovated interior. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. Easy check-in and easy check-out. Room was large for the price. A/C was cold and water was hot.

It was loud bangs and the door didn’t seem to close all the way it was sketchy looking people wondering around and it wasn’t any smart tv so absolutely nothing to watch on tv.

Staff was friendly and straight to the point. I would not recommend staying here if safety is important or staying with children. We booked this last minute and our first time in the area as a cheap option for the night. There is obviously very much illegal activity such as drug dealing and prostitution. We were watched by a very suspicious individual while we walked to our room. Needless to say we did not get much rest due to this.

Room was never cleaned first dog urine next to foot of bed. Dog poop on wall and night stand . I turned over sheets and there was a cuticle stick piece of dried grass under pillows. Linen had paw prints and crumbs under sheets. No surfaces were wiped down crumbs and sticky surfaces.

The parking is very tight, and when we tried to back out of the spot we were blocked. The front desk immediately contacted the car blocking us and took care of the minor delay. The staff is friendly and responsive. It's a very pleasant hotel!!

My kids & I came to town for a soccer tournament, we stayed for 1 night. My impressions were that the surroundings & the property were ran down, the parking spots were limited & very small. We were put on the third floor & had to use the stairs to walk up to our room, the stairs smelled of smoke, pee, & was filthy (there were trash everywhere & looked to be like drops of blood). As for the room, the door bolt was broken & barely hanging onto the wall (being that I am supposed to spend the night in this room, with my two young children, in a strange & unfamiliar city, I was worried about the safety of my family). The floors of my room were sticky & had strands of hair all over. Every table top had cigarette burns (this is supposed to be a strict, smoke free establishment). The bed headboards had sticky residue. There were strands of hair on the beds. The bathroom was okay, aside from the cracked bath tub & cigarette burns on the toilet seat. The remote control to our room was nowhere to be found & the hairdryer was not working. On the plus side, the AC unit worked amazingly! Until it didn’t.. My family fell asleep at 10pm, (I left the bathroom light on as a nightlight for my kids). I was awakened at 12am by loud running footsteps & music from the room above ours. I opened my eyes & our room was pitched black & the AC off. THE POWER WENT OUT! I tried to contact the front desk for 30 mins & nothing, finally the power came back on. Needless to say, I won’t be staying here again.

Property was overall good for the price point and free on-site parking compared to others. I had a room facing the pool and it was extremely noisy until about 10pm. I heard someone complain regarding the noise and the front desk changed their room immediately.

The building is very dated from the exterior and looks a little intimidating at first. However the rooms where very clean and recently renovated. There is a lot of places to eat in walking distance which is very convenient. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were clean, beds comfy, location was perfect for our trip to 2 different attractions. The hotel is located Nextdoor to the best menudo and within walking distance to the best tacos. for the kids or picky eaters there’s chic-fil-a, McDonald’s, Starbucks. We arrived early and they were able to accommodate us with our 3 rooms.

I was not at all satisfied with the hotel service. The floor was very dirty and I had to clean all my things after returning. The only thing Staff did in two days was bring us towels once and I was not satisfied at all. I had a great hotel in Los Angeles for the same money before coming here and I will not recommend this place to anyone.

The neighborhood is less than great. The firat night we were there, we got back to the hotel to find four police cars in the parking lot, there to arrest one of the residents of the hotel. Breakfast was less than appealing, a bowl of ceral and a muffin. Honestly, this place was sleazy, and I trusted that the Wyndham name would mean a nice place to stay, but it was less than satisfactory.

This hotel is nothing like the pictures. It’s run down and seems there is people that have long term stay. It’s noisy and it doesn’t feel safe at all. To make it worse, as soon as I opened the door to the room, looked in and got the smell right away I closed it back and left. It smelled like they try to mask the strong cigarette smell with pine sol or some cleaner product. And the couch

The hot tub would not heat up, the shampoo and body wash were nice, but couldn’t get a bottle to open. The fridge and microwave were good sized as well. The breakfast in the lobby was cereal, coffee, milk, toast, yogurt, and muffins. You could not take anything out of the lobby (not a complaint- it states it clearly in their rules). This is a good place to stay for a short, simple visit when looking for somewhere to sleep. There’s a neat little thrift store across the street as well.

To begin with the room was not that great it wasn’t very clean then next day car blocked me from reversing because they were parked just in side of curb with no parking pass or in a parking spot I don’t know what was going on in this place but seemed alit of the guest were permanent guests and a lot of questionable activity going on never again

Not at all in photos, area felt unsafe, dirty stain sheets but the staff was friendly and understandable.

The craftsmanship in the rooms is questionable.. trying hard to look good, but not of good quality. The rooms smell of overwhelming cleaner, but yet they are Not clean. The floors are vinyl laminate, ehich is at least better than carpet.

Rooms smelled like marijuana, roaches in the rooms.

Room was as expected, fair price for basic amenities. Nothing to say that was above and beyond great or horrible.

There was a razor blade in the hot tub along with a rock from the landscaping

Noisy with ppl running on the walkways & the ceiling aren’t thick enough to where ppl upstairs walking can be hear. As I was checking out there was 4 police vehicles , lots of LEO’s questioning a man.

Outdoor trash cans were always full and spilling out. Didn't have any room service, but the rooms were nice & clean to begin with. Overall, what I expected and would probably stay again.

We stay here often and like the hotel

This was the WORST hotel that we have stayed at. The room was very bare with only a bed and a chair. There was nothing desirable about the place, and the breakfast was fair at best. The check in clerk was very friendly and kind.

Although the exterior immediate surroundings is rather seedy, the homeless population and the excessive use of marijuana unfortunately detract from this facility. But, once you're inside your room, you can almost shut it out. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It's to be expected for the price point.

I was really upset that the jacuzzi wasn't working, and but in the middle of the night, people were knocking on our window, the people above us made too much noise

Bugs, no towels.

A bit noisy during business hours due to nearby businesses but overall a good stay. Will stay again if in area in the future.
