Floor was sticky and ceiling fan box in the bathroom broke. The bed was clean with flat blankets and flat pillows. Basically had my crocs on and stayed in the bed. The room smelled of cigarette smoke even though I asked for a nonsmoking room. Loud people cooking at night but I’m a heavy sleeper so it didn’t bother me. My partner was okay with the place for the price but I would not recommend this to anyone unless they just want to have sex and leave. Hahaha

Parking lot well lite, felt safe ,friendly staff, very clean rooms with refrigerator, microwave, tv w/remote ,the cleaning lady was so friendly and awsome getting us fresh towels everyday . Great pricing ,place is close to everything we needed .

The property was not maintained well. The front door would not lock and the safety latch was cracked in half. The bathroom faucet handle came completely detached with each use. The towels were very small and not good quality. The pillows were terrible. Many of the fixtures and clothes hangers were rusted. Although a non-smoking facility, pot, cigarette, and cigar smoke were rampant on the grounds.

Lady at front desk rude, booked 2 rooms and told me only had one. Place is shady looking and room was non smoking with an ashtray in it. Turned on AC and it smelled like raw cow manure. Took water in shower 10 mins to get warm. Booked 2 rooms with king bed and got 2 double beds. Don’t waste your time here

The man that checked us in was rude, the towels in the room was dirty glad I travel with my own, for the first 2 days the water would not get hot until the morning we checked out. I would say you get what you pay for but I can’t even say that.

As soon as i walked into the room, all i could breathe was weed... for the entirety of my stay, it was reeking of weed, i killed a couple of roaches, the towels were nasty (glad i travel with mine), and hair all over the pillow and bed. It was an overall terrible experience for me.

The front desk staff was great. The bed was extremely noisy. My cable wasn't working. I left after my shower, when i seen the bug atoynd the sink. I stayed for about 3 hours.

Wasn't pleased with the specific room I was in. Picture was off the wall. 2 outlets didn't work. Remote didn't work. Bathroom was DIRTY! Around the toilet and in the shower! Stains on the sheets.

Smoking rooms are selected by default on Expedia website. When no mention of it was announced to me. The AC in the room recirculated smoke smell. Non smoking room also had a stench of mold in general. I would only stay at a place like this if I were stranded and it was the only place to stay. The 2nd room I was moved to had signs of a forced entry. The door jab was warped from being pried open and the inside door latch was barley hanging onto the door frame unsecured. To his credit the front desk attendant tried to accommodate a change of rooms when I was unsatisfied but it is just not a place I would stay at unless I absolutely had to.

This place is honestly better than expected. It's clean, towels are clean, and even the smoking rooms arent bad. I accidentally booked a smoking room but was able to just spray and the lingering smell was gone. Its a good location and fairly priced. Will stay again.

At check in, the front desk had a very weird vibe. Everyone standing outside of their rooms was casing us. They watched every move we made from the time we got there to the time we left. When we got to our room, the guests staying next to us left their door open, they were outside in front of our room smoking cigars. I am allergic to cigars, so I just walked by quickly and entered the room. I have no issue with anyone smoking cigars. However, we booked a smoking free room and the first thing I noticed when I closed the door was the two inch gap beneath the door, so there was definitely smoke entering. The room itself was newly renovated. The floor, walls, bed, and furniture all looked rather nice in comparison to everything else. The shower was peeling quite badly, and there was hardly any room between the door and the toilet. I would have been entirely happy to stay in the room had there not been a 2 inch gap under the door. After speaking with some locals, they advised me to leave that area. The hotel gave me the runaround trying to get a refund. Hotels.com really did a great job helping. Would NOT recommend staying here.

The rooms are nice and clean. Although they're having some construction, I would still recommend this property to friends and family because the staff are courteous, as well.

This was just ok. I would have not have felt safe traveling alone here. There are residents that you can tell live here and they are drinking beer sitting in the parking lot outside their door watching the people come and go. I won't lie the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have had in a long time. I didn't see any bugs but there was a small dead roach in the fridge, the microwave was very dirty, and there was hair in the sink. The TV didn't work.

At first glance maybe not the best, but the exterior of the place is under a paint renovation and some units are being updated. The room I stayed in was comfortable, the ac kept the room cool and I slept like a log. I will book again in the future if I’m back in the area.

Had no hot water. The fire alarm was hanging out the wall and beeped every few minutes. The blankets if that is what you want to call them was thinner then the sheets.

Didn't have a bathtub only shower, bathroom door won't shut all the way, loud told outside room early in the morning, no phone in room, microwave only works with the start button and add 30 secs. Online a week cost allot cheaper then what is a offered in the office. Paid several days and not once was I off xx

For the most part the room looks ok. They are renovating so at least you know they are trying to improve the hotel. But there are too many bugs of different varieties. The shower was spraying water all over the floor. The refrigerator needs to be replaced along with the microwave. The refrigerator doesnt get that cold along with pest constantly crawling on it. The parking lot is so small if you come back to the hotel late, good luck finding a parking space.

Reception was helpful enough to put a brand new AC within 10 mins but food didn’t get preserved due to refrigeration issues

Toilet wouldn’t flush, the lock on the door was broken so had to put a desk and a chair to keep it secure. In the middle of the night there were people knocking at the door (1:30am) left and then came back to knock again, I took a peak outside and saw a guy walking around looking at every car. Not safe

I had a great stay at Studios & Suites for Less. The staff is really nice and helpful. The room was super nice: clean, spacious, with a fridge and microwave. It was exactly what I needed for a week-long business trip, and the price was super affordable.

The bottoms of my socks were super dirty from walking around the room. It’s a budget motel, I get it. Operators were friendly at check in which was a plus.

i left my things on the bed and i seen they were touched and i did not like that. i know daily maids come in and give extra towels but personal clothing, items, etc. should not be touched. the environment felt unsafe. and front desk service gave me hard times.

The facility is clean and updated. I needed a double beds after my first night, and they were willing to change it out without any additional charge. Since the facility is right off the road, I was concerned about safety. However, after the first night, it was fine. I appreciated that beds were clean and firm.

They are renovating the property . I believe we had an upgraded room . It was decent for the price, we killed 2 roaches on our last night didn’t see any the first day and there was a leak from the upstairs unit that the staff took care of right away which was great.

Cons: No elevator, One of the two keys did not work, Bathtub needed cleaning, TV remote required extra instructions to function, Phone did not work, Desk clerk did not think my wife needed her own room key and even after he swiped it again, it did not work ever, two huge trash bins outside our window and person in the next room chanted outside his door.

staff at the front desk was super friendly, after a 4 hr drive they allowed me to check in an hour early. the room was recently renovated and the mirror with the vanity light feature was an awesome perk as well, great price great experience. i will be definitely be staying here again in September.

Huge trash bins in the middle of thr parking lot. Old bed frama laying against aome other big trash bins. This place needs a massive makeover. When we checked in the staff told us it was a new remodeled room. The bathtub looked like it was painted. The doors were painted just like the walls. The tub was not very clean and miasing a drain. Not enough blankets as all we had was a sheet and a very thin top blanket which iant a blanket. It was ok for one night. The srea of location cant be helped but, this place needs a makeover. A major remodel.

we had to stop for one night in Chesapeake due to a late flight into Norfolk while heading down to the Outer Banks for a family vacation. 15 years ago we lived in this area so I was not a stranger to where we were staying as far as neighborhood. It was actually super convenient to me because it was right off the highway that I was driving down and it had a Walmart very close by that I was able to pre-order my groceries. I don’t judge anyone. I am well aware there are people who are living full-time in these types of motels with their kids that doesn’t bother me and for one night we just needed somewhere to land. The staff was friendly, our room was clean, no issues with safety noise or neighbors. It was way more convenient to stay here and far less expensive than any other area along our route. As a one night crash pad no issues.

This place was great. Friendly manager and friendly staff. Parking was a little difficult to manage with accessibility. Whole property in undergoing renovations so look out for newly improved rooms. My room was really quite large with a lot of open floor space. Great for family vacations or just a night stay inn.

Property been remodeled, a lot of noise & foot traffic. Room was clean, it was a smoking room so you could smell the order when you open door. Light switch does not work. Overall nice room, king size bed, tv, fridge, microwave all items worked. Bathroom was a nice size & clean. The sink area is outside the bathroom. The staff was nice & friendly.

Front desk service and check-in went fine. The young lady was friendly and professional. The room, however, was horrible. I'm not super picky and while I prefer higher end hotels when traveling with friends and family, when I travel solo seriously a DaysInn, QualityInn, Motel 6 level hotel to shower and sleepnwork fine. Average mid-range, no problem...but this place makes the above mentioned seem like the Waldorf. Tattered carpet, curtains had holes, broken security latch, rusty shower, and the room smelled. I'm sorry, can't soften the blown, this was horrible. I checked in at 3pm and left at 9pm because I couldn't sleep passed the smell. I even tried sleeping with my head under the covers (don't laugh I've slept on airport floors after missing a connection and felt more comfortable and in a cleaner environment. I weighed my options and left after realizing I wouldn't be able to rest anyway. Wound up sleeping in my vehicle at a rest stop and no regrets. Lost $113 though (price hike for 4th of July) but I don't regret leaving. It was my own lack of planning that put me there, and the photos online make it look clean and appealing. It's not.

On the second day, the neighboring room’s air conditioning exhaust was filled with the smell of marijuana. This created an unpleasant and unhealthy environment, especially for my toddler and pregnant wife. I would not recommend this place to anyone — especially families with young children or expecting mothers.
