    I booked a suite for me and my two aunts everything's clean beds responsible for Stafford accommodating, especially to my aunt who had allergies to feather pillows we were able to get fresh linen daily and the breakfast was good

    My stay at this hotel took a turn for the worse at check out. My reservation was already paid for, and at checkout I was charged doubled what I already paid. The young lady who checked me out, charged me an early checkout fee, and denied she made a mistake. I did not checkout early. After my card was charged double the fee I initially paid, I asked to speak with a manager. A manager was not on site and I was given a card to call the next day. I called the next day, spoke with the front desk, only to be told that the manager was not available, and to call back later. I called again in the afternoon to be told the manager was in a meeting, to call back in a hour. I finally spoke with the manager and I was assured that I would receive a refund. Three days went by and I did not receive a refund from being charged doubled, and no one from hotel reached out to me. To get a response from the hotel and my refund. I had to submit a claim to my bank and to the cooperate office for this hotel. This is an unacceptable and unprofessional business practice. This has caused me great distress and disappointment in how I was treated in this matter. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    Whenever I come to Chesapeake, VA. This particular hotel is the place, I prefer to stay. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are pleasant to stay in.

    6 night stay. Staff were very nice! But…We had a suite that would sleep 5. Reservation was for 3 adults. We were only given 3 towels and 2 washcloths when the room was cleaned. I had to continually ask for more towels and washcloths. Most of the time being told they didn’t have any washcloths available to give me. Room only had one small wardrobe with 5 hangers in it, not nearly enough space or hangers for 3 adults let alone 5. Frame on one of the beds was broken, still slept ok but mattress moved around and had to continually be adjusted. No vent fan in bathroom. No hooks in bathroom to hang robe or towels. A lot of wasted space and poorly designed and cramped room for 3 adults let alone 5. Room had not been deep cleaned as we found a tennis ball under the couch and some of the wall light fixtures had quite a layer of dust. Treadmills in Gym were FILTHY and nothing available to use for cleaning before and after use. Laundry room was fine but the door didn’t lock. Had a room key card entry box but it was deactivated. Breakfast was good.

    Pool was out of service, even though there were no notifications, or signs and nobody said anything about it at check-in AND when we asked where the pool was an employee directed us to it but did not disclose that it was temporarily closed. Had I known I would have booked a different hotel. The lady at the front desk did not apologize or offer anything to make the situation better. Instead, she was enjoying the breakfast she made at the guest breakfast area. Will not book this hotel again.

Fire alarm went off do kitchen cook 5am, Elevator was broken, won’t stay here again. Not Marriott standards. My sons room had a butter hole in there window.

I would not have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes, but it was true. Same reservation with two different names (Jenkins/Kahlil) under the same reservation number. I had received the one with Jenkins on it, the hotel received the one with Kahlil on it.

    The indoor pool was not working, which was one of the reasons I wanted to stay at this hotel. Also, there was mold in the caulk inside the tub that can easily be fixed by cutting out the old caulk, let the area dry completely then redo it with caulk that is 100% silicone. It is waterproof, and infused with mildewcide or biocide to kill mold and mildew spores. This fix costs less than $10!! Then, there were people running up and down the hallway as though they were outside. The associates at the front desk EXCELLENT!!

    What I really didn’t like, though, were the hotel hallways—they were extremely hot 🔥🥵 and uncomfortable when walking to and from the room. It definitely made the experience less enjoyable. With cooler hallways, this hotel would easily feel much more welcoming. The location is convenient, and the service was good, but I hope they address that hallway issue soon.

    All of the Handicap rooms were as far from the elevators as possible, requiring, for us, very long walks. The first room we were assigned did not have a flushable commode, so we had to move to another floor. The second room had a broken shower, which constantly leaked during our entire four-day stay. The Coffee maker also had a missing part and had to be replaced. We had reserved a room with a "Roll-In Shower," but none were available at check-in; only high-sided tubs were offered. We were locked out of our room twice and had to obtain new keys. For two handicapped customers, this was a huge problem. The AC worked well and the room was clean.

    This property does not live up to the Marriott standard. Everything was broke. The phone, the fridge, the pool is a huge safety hazard and very cold. It is not ADA compliant completely. The chair for those with handicaps is broke. There is only 1 elevator so if it is down for maintenance people need to use the stairs. I won’t ever stay there again for the price we paid.

    We went there specifically because they had an indoor pool. We helped move my son to VA along with the his gf’s family. They stayed there as well because of the pool. It was broke down and we were unable to use it either day. The location was wonderful and we are going again in sept but hesitant to rebook because of the lack of communication on the pool. Unsure if we will rebook or not.

    We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The beds were uncomfortable with flat pillows and stains on the sheets. Housekeeping only replaced the towel on the floor and trash. The toilet was not seated properly and wobbly when we sat on it. The sink drain did not open and close with the push rod. There were black spots in the tub. The door deadbolt kept locking automatically after opening the door, making it difficult to close the door when leaving. The washing machine in the hall was broken. Breakfast was good, pretty standard with what is expected at a Fairfield with waffles and a nice assortment of toppings.

    The only positive thing about this stay was the front desk clerk, Dorian. Right after checking in for our three-night stay we discovered so many things we had concerns about which we reported right away. It was a king bed suite with a pullout sofa bed (twin size), but they advertised that the room slept 5. I still can't figure their math in that. So we asked for a rollaway, which they didn't want to give us at first to accomodate our party of 4.     Issues with the bathroom light switch. The main light switch in the room had to be the opposite of the bathroom light switch in order for it to be on. The bed was so so. The room was very clean. The bathroom was all clean. The front desk person was very attentive, polite and helpful.

    First breakfast was food I can’t or won’t eat like kale and tomato frittata and eggs with jalapeños. Second breakfast was much better with croissant sandwiches and bacon. There were no cart available to haul our stuff up and a person the next morning didn’t have one either. The cars are also too small like the ones you get at the airport. I recommend you have more carts and the traditional larger ones. It was otherwise very clean, my husband slept well but the beds were way too hard for me. I gave it a high rating though because they had a hot breakfast and bath tubs.

Hotel was clean, room was nice and clean, A/c was on in the room when we arrived which was great because it was over 90 degrees outside with a heat index over 100 so a cool room was great. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Bathroom was spacious and clean; towels were in good shape. Room had plenty of closet space with hangers, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and plenty of cups. As stated, the a/c worked well and wasn't noisy. Room was quiet, clean and no bad smells, sleeping was great. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection with eggs, sausage biscuit sandwiches, waffles, muffins, juice, fruit, cereals, coffee, etc. We really enjoyed this breakfast. CONS: Shower could have had better water pressure but was adequate. The lobby, reception area, breakfast area, halls were hot like the a/c was not working well to keep up with the heat. We took our food up to the room to eat, a slight inconvenience, but it worked out well. BOTTOM LINE: We enjoyed the one-night stay and would definitely stay here again.

    The room smelled moldy and damp. The only way we managed the smell was by spraying our own Lysol and keeping the air conditioner on high, which ment we needed to keep the room cold even when it was making us uncomfortable. I asked the front desk person on Saturday morning if we were getting our room cleaned because my daughter went the bed, and if not, I wanted a fresh set of sheets for myself to change. I was informed I was getting my room cleaned. But when we returned at night, the room was not cleaned at all. Had to ask for the sheets again when they could have just given them to me earlier in the day when I first asked. The door to enter the room needs some maintenance. We try and stay with Marriott brand but for future family visits, we may need to consider other options. We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Chesapeake-Square Mall for previous visits, and had to stop going for similar issues. It seems the brand is struggling to maintain a level of quality.

    We enjoyed our stay for the first time. We came from Florida to visit family and picked this hotel because of the cleanliness and staff. Orchid was extremely kind and helpful during our stay along with the other staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I do plan on staying here in the future.

    My bathroom toilet was working when I arrived. I let staff know and then I was told that they would fix it shortly. I left and returned to the hotel after midnight to find out that nobody came to fix the toilet. Shortly after my return, I went downstairs to use the restroom and the clerk was in the restroom. I asked her if she worked her and she said yes. I then told her that the toilet was still not working. She told me that they do not have night maintenance and my only option was to move to another room that did not have 2 queen beds but one king bed. In the meantime, my daughter called to say that the toilet finally flushed. I told the clerk that I would stay in the room because it was then 1am and we were not going to pack up our room and move. We had problems with toilet all night. It would flush sometimes and most times it wouldn’t. How could maintenance go home without fixing my toilet and no one cared. I will not be returning to this property again.

    This hotel needs a lot of upgrades but I see where y’all are renovating and why can’t this be done during the off season? No pool available, television needs to be upgraded to a smart tv, and the hallways need better air, it was extremely hot in the hallway.

    Had to wait for cleaning of rooms, toilet would not flush correctly, there was no remote for the TV, parking is limited. Pool was closed. The staff tried to accommodate, but overall experience was not great…
