We were knowingly given a room without TV connectivity and with an extremely loud AC unit. When we notified management, they said that they would call us to address our issues when they were finished checking in several other people. After thirty minutes, we gave up and went downstairs (management didn't answer the phone). Management told us that they knew that the room they assigned us didn't have TV connectivity and also knew about the extremely loud AC unit, but there was nothing they could do about it because they had already assigned all of the rooms that had TV connectivity. They assigned us this room because we booked it through Hotels.com instead of through Home2Suites/Hilton.

Fabulous room and great property overall in a prime location close to Amtrak station and Downtown shopping mall. The hotel has a beautiful outside area for lounging, copleys with a firepit and plenty of tables and chairs.

Food was okay.

It was very comfortable and pleasant. Our fur baby was with us and he seemed to have a comfortable and restful stay, as well. In the morning, we enjoyed walking around the area near the hotel. Breakfast area was clean, and the food was well-prepared.

Clean facility, friendly staff. It was a five minute walk to the historic downtown mall. Parking on site had plenty of room. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in downtown Charlottesville.

The rooms were fantastic. Very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. We were within walking distance of a great brewery/restaurant where we got dinner. Didn't love that we had to pay to park. The staff member that checked us in seemed very disinterested in her job. Never told us our room #, anything about breakfast or wifi. We just had to figure it out. But the person who helped us this morning was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Would certainly stay here again.

We heard every foot step of everyone that was staying in the room above ours. I would have thought sound deadening materials should have prevented this.

I had reserved a room with a King bed but the only rooms available at check in had Queen beds. Also, the Digital key required me to stop by the front desk.

Im really upset and worry, I slept yesterday there and I wake up with a lot of sign of bed bugs illness in my bony I have pics to attached , I paid 370$ to keep warm and save but it’s not fare stay in a dirty hotel with this kind of issues.

Breakfast good but several items were out both days. Parking. Charged for parking even though we parked on street one night. Parking garage was closed unless you went to office for pass. At midnight??

I was booked to stay the night of the 20th. I have also been charged for the 21st. I called Hilton and have received absolutely no help and when they finally connected me with the main desk in Charlottesville, the girl hung up on me. I was put on hold almost a half an hour. I would like a reply from you as to what you will do about this.

I liked the way the room was arranged. I liked the mini kitchen and the sofa in front of the TV and the nice desk/table as well as all the counter space. There were blood spots on the lampshade beside my bed. Room 218

Breakfast was good. Front desk was super helpful! only had 1 glass, 2 forks for 4 people. paying $10 for parking was crazy but safer. We live just outside of C'ville so are aware of the "area" where the hotel is located (lots of crime on Dice and Garrett))

Property was fine disappointed in area near the property primarily downtown mall. Alot of Homeless laying around area, alot of shops closed and pot prevalent, stinch.

The hotel was very clean, beds were very comfortable. The only issue was a small one because the fire pit outside didn’t work, we would have liked to enjoy it while sitting outside. The only other thing is I think it’s kind of ridiculous that they charge $10 a day to park in their parking lot. Other than that I would recommend this hotel.

We were able to get an early check in , and the desk person was able to assign rooms in close proximity to the friends we were meeting from out of state. A great experience! Easy to find too. We liked that the parking was in an on site lot right outside the front entrance.

While the room was clean, there were stains on the couch, which was off-putting. Bed was okay, but two of three pillows had visible lumps and were basically unusable. Room was only cleaned once during my stay. Location is very handy to the downtown mall, but hotel over all is a 3 out of 5: since it was NOT cheap, I really regretted choosing this place. Would not stay there again!

I feel if you are paying $200+ a night you should not have to pay $1 for parking each day. Also if you are serving breakfast with cereal and oatmeal you shouldn’t run out of milk two days in a row. Someone from the hotel should go buy a few gallons of milk

The suite we stayed in was excellent! Nice and clean with plenty of parking. We went to see a show at the Paramount Theater,and we were able to walk to the venue from our hotel. The duration of my stay was 5 days/4 nights for a wedding. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I was close to the University and downtown walking mall. Parking was plenty - outside of the lobby entrance and below with a gated entrance. I gave 5 starts for location, comfort, staff, amenities, cleanliness.

The property was clean, but the receptionist saw I was standing in front of the desk and did not come immediately when I checked in. I needed to wait for 3 or 4 minutes. Maybe she was taking a break outside the building. That was my first experience waiting for the receptionist at the hotel.

Love the spacious and amenities, not sure if we were given a Handicap room but it was huge, great amenities, big fridge, microwave ,coffee machine , great. Overall grate experience. They even have free wash machine and dryers too . that was great for us considering the fact that we were on the road for a few days .

The hotel was nice. Unfortunately our room was under the smoking area and our room smelled of smoke. Plus we had a room next to someone who had the television on loud 24/7. Not what I expect from a Hilton property.

Great property for family! We had seamless check in… the rooms are big and have everything you need. The kids loved the heated pool and breakfast! Definitely will choose Home2 suites again in the future when we travel

Met out needs while touring the area. An events board in the lobby would’ve been a nice add to display local and walkable happening. Breakfast was fair at best, but rooms clean and spacious. Staff couldn’t add military discount to our reservation at checking..

First off, the night manager was friendly and incredibly helpful. We got in very late and she was amazing. The bed was firm but not uncomfortable. My only knock is the "suite" was not a separate room. It was a curtain that separated the bed from the sofa so if someone was watching the one tv, YOU were also watching whether you liked it or not. The picture was a bit misleading. The kitchen was impressive though. Full fridge, microwave and dishwasher which we didn't even need for a weekend stay but nice to have.

I specifically booked this hotel for the indoor pool, even called the day before to verify the pool was heated, the pool was out of order. We booked a suite and we were given a studio. I have emailed Expedia twice and haven’t heard back. I would like some sort of refund or credit for another suite. Thank you.

Little details like a pull-out table for eating and a curtain between bed & living space made this suite truly livable. Wine glasses would be a nice addition. Proximity to downtown for walking and takeout ordering was awesome My mother didn't want to go home! Perfect choice for solo travelers.

More than likely we will not be back. We had no hot water in our room the entire stay which was difficult in the middle of winter. I feel that paying almost $300 after taxes and parking was outrageous for ONE night, especially with no hot water whatsoever. Yes, this was reported. Staff was very kind any time we communicated with them but that is not enough to bring us back. Property was clean. Breakfast was decent but the price and water issue-this is unacceptable. Our family of four could not shower properly because of this.

Large rooms with comfortable beds. Hot water for showers was sporadic. Breakfast bar needs a big upgrade. We ate within the first 30 minutes of being open and the food was cold. So disappointing.

Nice room with all the amenities. The only negative thing about this property is its close proximity to the fire department. Several times through the night I was awakened by the sound of fire trucks leaving the station.

The room was clean however the shower barely got Luke warm. We let the front desk know and they said other rooms were reporting the same thing. The breakfast area was not kept clean and was very messy. Dirty dishes everywhere, overflowing trash, spilled food on the serving counters. We were on the fourth floor and the elevator button was very difficult to get working. Beds were comfortable and kitchen area was very nice in the rooms.

I really enjoyed my stay. I walked to The Jefferson Theater for a concert. What a pleasant area. 10/10 will visit and stay here again. Easy to get in and out. Room was immaculately clean. The amenities were far superior to other hotels I have stayed in before.

The carpets was not vacuumed. Crumbs were in several places.

My stay was excellent. The only concern was the breakfast buffet was not stocked on regular basis. When I got there, there was not more oatmeal.

We stayed here while a family member was in the hospital at UVA. It was nearby, but not walkable and there weren’t walkable food options nearby. Free breakfast wasn’t much to speak of. The room had a kitchenette but there was a regular beeping sound that we later found out was the dishwasher. It hadn’t been run before we checked in and there were dirty dishes and utensils in it from the prior guests.

Property was fine. Room was decent the second time around. 1st room smelled terrible like dirty feet, they said sometimes after a heavy rain it happens and they don’t know why. Area felt ok- didn’t feel super safe walking at night. Downtown mall was super close but not well lit when walking back down the alley along the rain road tracks. We weren’t at the hotel much- probably would pick a different hotel next time. It’s across the street from fire station so we heard sirens on and off all night.

The property was very nice and the suite was very roomy, with everything one would need for a long stay. Our stay was a bit hampered by upstairs guests who were little and quite rambunctious and up late. Just wish we had not been put under them to begin with. Hotel management cheerfully moved us, but not until we lost some sleep. We could have asked sooner to be moved or to knock on their door so some of it was on us. Very walkable to the downtown mall. My husband was attending a conference at the Omni.

Room trash cans were small, bathroom poorly ventilated, breakfast was adequate but not varied - most protein options were offered in the form of breakfast sandwiches making it less appealing to children, indoor pool was very cold, they offer free use of washer and dryer but you have to bring your own detergent.

The hotel is pet friendly which I didnt realize when i booked. The room smelled like dogs and my allergies were triggered.

Although convenient to downtown Charlottesville, Monticello and UVA, the cleanliness and condition of the room were below our expectations especially for the cost of the room. In addition, there is a charge for everything from parking, to a bottle of water, to pet accessories like bags. Gone are the days of complimentary service or accessories.

loud upstairs throughout stay

A parking fee on top of the room fee seems superfluous. This isn’t DC; if someone is staying at this hotel they probably have a vehicle they need to park. There seems to be ample parking available, so if the issue is with non patrons they cost shouldn’t be paid by patrons.

I expected more out of a Hilton. I would not recommend this hotel. Staff when checking in was not friendly.

Great stay for business. Close to the Downtown Mall, tons of restaurants, and fun things to do. The rooms are large and have everything you could possibly need. The lobby has tons of snack options. Really great place to stay!
