Hampton Inn Charlottesville

Stayed for two nights. Lots of noise outside our door at all hours of the night. Room was clean on arrival but no clean towels for the second night. Asked desk for towels. Brought them up 45 min later and brought the fresh smell of marijuana with him “along with his marijuana key chain” just wasn’t professional”. Also has a family of 4. son is 3. asked what that smell was. So I won’t be staying here again.

Room was great, clean and comfortable. The staff at this hotel are beyond amazing and very friendly. From the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance. Everyone I encountered was friendly and always spoke. If you have to stay in Charlottesville I recommend staying here

We liked that this is our second stay at a Hampton Inn and the brand consistency is the same so far, so we will try another Hampton Inn when traveling. It was all good for our short stay. We needed a 1 day hotel stay for a same day we medical procedure 200 mile from home. Had stayed at a Hampton Inn before and really thought it was very nice and clean hotel. So we hoped this one would be as well and it was.

Clean room Back door was broken. One elevator was broken and the other sounded like it was going to break soon. The AC in the room was broke. NO Electric Vehicle Charger!

I liked a lot! Nice staff, comfy, clean rooms, good bathrooms that were stocked with toiletries, coffee maker fridge and a microwave right in the room, beds were comfortable. Great breakfast! Everything was great! They only thing i didn't like was that you couldn't see oncoming traffic because the bushes were in the way at the Hillsdale Rd/India Rd intersection.

Broken elevator, cramped room (little space between desk and bed). Location not great, traffic was a headache.

Finding 2 q-tips in our bed. My husband found one and then I found one. They weren't ours.

First of all we were greeted by a very nice lady named Cathy at the front desk. Very professional and helpful. Our room was on the small side but was very quiet and clean.

Im not a breakfast person, but I was there dsuly during my stay. The staff was courteous and the maintenance man seemed to live there, he worked 24 hours. Everytime I come here I stay here.

In general I rank Hampton Inns as the basic acceptable level of hotel I will use. The breakfast, OK, something there that most everyone will find acceptable. Room furnishing were good, chairs and bed were comfortable. It seems trivial but I appreciate a cloths hanger which can be removed from the rod. An improvement would be a hand held shower head. There seemed to be a faint scent of cleaning product, perhaps carpet cleaner? Bed linens seemed to have a scent but most people would not notice. The shower drain wasn't able to remove full flow from the shower flow as water built up in the tub. In general no major complaint but nothing great to 'write home' about. I travel a fair amount but most stays are not in the USA these days. You never know what you will get and I typically only stay at a specific hotel once so in the US if there is a Hampton around that is often my first choice. I wasn't looking for night life, fine dining or to impress anyone, just a spot to spend a couple of nights before moving on.

Surrounding property is an abandoned shopping center. Was on 5th floor in hopes of it being somewhat quiet. Teens running and yelling in the hallways all night.

My stay was amazing! Although, I ran into a snag regarding needing an extra night, the staff was able to grant me a late check out time to prepare for my cousin’s wedding.

The room was very nice, but I would suggest a small moveable table and a chair because I brought breakfast to my handicapped husband because he couldn’t get there before it closed. He had no place to eat the food other than his bed. Being handicapped, he spilled on the bed. If he had been at a table, this wouldn’t have happened.

I travel frequently for work and this has to be one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Fresh clean (not chemical) scent, dust-free, spotless linens - every part of the room was clean. The whole place is modern and well-maintained.

Just a really well run hotel. Breakfast was great. Easy to get around the city from the hotel. Elevator to upper floors kinda of in an odd location but it works. A lot of value for the price we paid.

Staff was friendly, I've stayed in many Hampton inns across the us and this one just missed the mark. It felt dirty, not up to the Hampton standard. Didn't enjoy the area hotel was located here. Felt very low budget. Not worth the price we paid

Your typical Hampton Inn, clean with great staff. The front desk clerk helped us to our room, as we were traveling with small children. The staff at breakfast helped my young daughter get her breakfast. Everyone was pleasant and helpful.

The folks at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. The other staff were equally as friendly. It was a very noisy hotel; dogs barking, drunk guests yelling in the hallways til late in the night, doors slamming at all hours.

The staff was absolutely wonderful! We had a large group of family staying at the hotel & the staff made sure we were assigned rooms on the same floor although the accommodations were not reserved as a block. Everyone was pleasant. We had no complaints!

You can hear everything in your room. We also had to wipe down high traffic touched areas when arriving. There was dirty finger prints and makeup stains.

This location is in the middle of renovating their 1st floor. But other than that, this hotel was perfectly located to UVA.

We normally love Hampton Inns, which are generally consistent wherever you go. This one, however, is the exception. While the lobby is fine and the staff was kind enough, the room was exceptionally cramped and had a bathroom barn door, which allows for very little privacy. The bedding was anemic and the overall space was just subpar. There was a posterboard in the lobby announcing that they will be updating the guest rooms later this year with new furniture and light fixtures, but it doesn't appear that the bathroom doors will be replaced with privacy doors or that the rooms will be made larger. Hopefully, they can reconfigure the rooms so they're more comfortable even with the tight space. We intended to stay 2 nights, but left after 1 because the room was just so uncomfortable.

The hotel was clean and the staff was great. My only complaint is that the room, bathroom, and continental breakfast were all small. They were adequate and nothing else was wrong, but for the price, I expected something bigger.

Awesome stay!! The staff, from check-in to check-out, front desk, cleaning, and breakfast, was professional and friendly. The room was super clean. I like the "black out" shades in the rooms. The breakfast had an excellent selection of items (eggs, waffles, sausage, baked goods, good coffee). The room was very quiet even though we were the room closest to the elevator. Would highly recommend.

We stayed 4 nights and had no worries. It was comfortable; and the breakfast was great. I always chose this hotel chain.

We came in for a weekend with our daughter. Easy check in. Great towels and the bed was SO comfortable! We had a small issue arise which was promptly corrected. AC at this hotel is WONDERFUL and a Texans we appreciated that so much

Easy and friendly check in is one think that makes me return to a hotel. As well as a quiet room and comfy bed. We will use this hotel again in the future.

The elevator shut on my arm and bruised it up really bad. This is the only negative thing I have to say. Everything else was great.

Overall great stay. The rooms are a bit narrow but well thought out and modernized. What makes this place is the amazing staff. Everybody is so friendly and kind and they are always smiling. Will continue to come back here while our son is attending UVA.

Size of room much smaller than others. We had a king with an adjoining 2 Queen. Usually the King has a couch. This room only had one seated chair.
