We stayed for our 34th anniversary 2 days ago and found Lisa and her mother lovely, accommodating, and pleasant. Lisa had come from Colorado and had only been the owner about 2 months but one would never know that. It was perfect! They even allowed our Colorado daughter ( who was attending her 25th u of va reunion) to have brunch with us the morning we left. Hot tub, jacuzzi, beautiful room, friendly and helpful owner…. What was there not to like? Ty, Lisa! We shall be back!

I wish I would have found it much earlier in my excursions to Charlottesville. I hope to return back sometime soon.

Congratulations to Lisa, the new owner of this BEAUTIFUL bed and breakfast. She greeted us and gave us a tour of the lovely property. We stayed in the rose room and loved the Jacuzzi tub. Bed was comfortable and the towels were so soft. Upon arrival, I was concerned with hearing noise from the other rooms because it is a house like structure, but we didn’t hear anything from the other guests. Lisa was kind and attentive, even making us a to go breakfast because we had to leave early for UVA graduation. Thank you again, for a cozy place to stay on our last visit to C-ville!

A lovely place! Brigette is a sweet lady who knows how to run a wonderful B&B! Her home is spotless and so simply and beautifully decorated. The land the home is on has beautiful trees. The best part of it all was the breakfast. Regretfully, we could only stay 1 night so we only got to experience it once. It started with a slightly sweet raspberry, blueberry, and green apple fruit salad, lightly sweetened with maple syrup. It didn’t taste like syrup but made the fruit slightly sweet. Next, we had seasoned potatoes, and a mini, quiche-like (no crust) preparation that had thinly sliced turkey on the outside with a Gouda cheese, egg, sweet cherry tomatoes with pesto on top creation, baked to perfection. Last we were given a triangle-shaped cherry oatmeal bar that was to die for! I wanted the rest of it! Our experience was memorable, down to the sweet fragrance of the bath salts given to us! If/when we ever pass this way again, we will hope to stay with her again! Thank you, Brigette!

This place is just outstanding. We arrived in a thunderstorm, having been hiking in Shenandoah for 2 days. The innkeepers offered us a glass of wine, a dinner recommendation, and pleasant conversation. Our room was just beautiful: big, well-decorated, comfortable bed, gas fireplace, huge bathroom. We can't say enough about the Foxfield Inn.

Lovely setting! I was in C'Ville for a Parents' weekend so the distance was a little challenging ( 10 minutes in an Uber from UVA), but so much about the property was great from the impeccable property itself to the delicious breakfast prepared for you in the morning. I wish I had more time to spend there, and to explore the surrounding area which is just stunning (horse farms abound!). Kathryn and Dan were very friendly and clearly take a great deal of pride in their property. I will return at some point when I have more time to spend there. Thank you :)

The epitome of Southern hospitality! Fantastic breakfasts, friendly and welcoming owners, a beautiful estate, and great conversation among guests made for a wonderful stay. Also, if you're a wine and/or beer enthusiast, this area is loaded with great spots (Barboursville Vineyards was my favorite). Great historical spots such as Monticello as well. We will make it a point to come back!

This B&B was delightful! Our room was beautiful and large, and the bathroom was like a spa. Dan and Kathryn were delightful hosts. Breakfast was delicious. We can't say enough good things about this property or the owners. We just wish we had been able to stay more than one night!
- 1/5
We were disheartened to find the cleanliness of our room to be unacceptable. There was so much mold under the front rim of the toilet that we could see it from a distance looking from the bedroom. There was also mold in the shower. Overall, the building and grounds were in disrepair: big sticks and piles of leaves on the roof, with moss and mildew growing on the patio furniture, hot tub, and sitting areas. Although the food was good, the portions were tiny. Very noticeable. We left hungry. We have been to many B & B's and were astounded by how little food was served. The cheapness showed. The evening cheese and wine service also showed that all the hosts wanted to do was to put on the bare minimum.
- 5/5
My husband and I had a great experience for a weekend get-away at this B&B. The owners Dan & Kathryn have mastered of the art of hospitality and made us feel at home! Each breakfast was wonderful as it was tasty, made from scratch and good portion sizes. The property is peaceful and quiet, if you are looking for serenity. An A stay!

This is a top rated B&B on our list. The house was warm and inviting and Kathryn and Dan were so welcoming and hospitable. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfy. The breakfasts were above outstanding. A wonderful place to stay. We will certainly return.

Lovingly maintained B & B in very private garden setting. Rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean and breakfasts were excellent. Kathryn went out of her way to prepare a delicious gluten and dairy free breakfast for us, as well as leave some delicious gluten-free cookies in our room. Dan was friendly and helpful and served the breakfasts. The inn has a beautiful backyard and gazebo and it was a pleasure to sit out there and watch the many birds at their feeders. A nice perk was the availability of coffee, tea, cookies, clementines and microwaveable popcorn as well as a refrigerator right out side the room.

It's easy to see how Foxfield Inn is the #1 B&B in the Charlottsville area. My wife and I have stayed here several times over the last three years and it feels like home to us Dan's hospitality and Kathryn's breakfast's are memorable and we highly recommend a visit.
- 4/5
We have stayed here five times over the years and have always enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Foxfield Inn. Dan and Kathryn were gracious hosts and presented a beautiful home. Both were knowledgeable of the area and friendly. They were helpful in recommending destinations for us to visit. We enjoyed hearing the history of the inn, watching the birds and fish, and the hottub.
- 5/5
I was down for my reunion with my girlfriend, which coincided with Foxfield races. 10 minutes to graduate school, 2 minutes to Foxfield, yet we were well out in the country, For sure I would book again.
- 5/5
The Foxfield Inn was an incredible experience. Dan and Kathryn were amazing hosts and provided a wonderful stay. The rooms are spacious with fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, plush towels and robes, comfortable beds, and peaceful garden views. The service was top tier, as Dan and Kathryn accommodated our every request, made excursion and dinner reservations, answered questions and were great resources of local interesting sites. The inn is clean, quaint, charming, and private. The breakfasts and daily fresh made cookies were very delightful ! There was breakfast fruit, fresh baked pastries, and a daily different unique breakfast entrée with a dessert ! Kathryn prepared us a picnic for a hike to Crabtree Falls (A MUST) and the picnic was beyond expectation, so special. Also, strongly recommend booking a massage through Foxfield, a relaxing experience to have a massage in your own room versus at a spa. Pleasant drive to a peaceful country setting. Hope to return for another visit.

This B&B is a wonderful place to stay. It is a huge home with 5 bedrooms for guests. I I loved the beverage/snack ?bar?. There are cookies, fruit, and beverages at your disposal. My husband and I actually forewent dessert at a very nice restaurant just so we could come back for the cookies! We were offered a glass of wine or beer upon arrival with a tour of the place. Dan and Kathryn were so very nice and hospitable. The breakfast in the morning was all out gourmet. It is worth staying here just for that. Our bed was the most comfortable we have ever had. Our room was spacious, and clean as well as our bathroom. I would recommend this and will stay here again.

We had a wonderful getaway here in early spring. It's close to everything and the Hosts are wonderful.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Foxfield Inn. This Inn is one of the cleanest and warmest inns that we have stayed at. The breakfast was delicious! We had a wonderful time at the Foxfield Inn. The breakfast was unforgettable and outstanding. Coffee available outside our room and cookies as well were such a treat. I would definitely come and stay again. Our hosts were so nice and welcoming and our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. What more could you ask for. Another treat was wifi without using a password! Many thanks for everything, Marty and Dick Sena

My wife and I spent two nights during Christmas in the Garden Room. Kathryn and Dan were great hosts. The room was well-appointed and very clean, and the view from the room was peaceful and relaxing. The gas fire place and the oversize jacuzzi made the room a perfect place to unwind and de-stress. Breakfast was excellent, and they made sure to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The downtown of Charlottesville is just 10 minutes away with nearby shopping and dining. We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.
- 5/5
Kathryn and Dan are wonderful hosts who think of everything including a welcoming glass of wine, homemade cookies and treats as well as appetizers before dinner. Kathryn?s three course breakfast is totally gourmet. Thank you Kathryn and Dan for a very relaxing weekend!

My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days and we love Charlottesville. The Foxfield Inn had gotten great reviews and know I know why. Kathryn and Dan were so accommodating and we had a great time. We got the Romantic Escape package and I would highly recommend it. the dinner at the Ivy Inn included in that package was fabulous. The bottle of wine and roses were so nice to have in the room when we arrived. We will definitely be back!

We had a delightful stay at Foxfield Inn with wonderful service, beautiful rooms, and lovely grounds in a peaceful location. Dan and Kathryn are very gracious hosts. We arrived late around 9PM, and Dan kindly welcomed us with a tour of the house and served us a glass of wine. We especially enjoyed the 3 course gourmet breakfasts and conversation with other guests. A variety of snacks and beverages was available each day, and we loved the fresh baked cookies. The bedrooms and sitting areas are inviting and well-appointed with fireplaces to warm a cold night or brisk morning. The location of the inn provides ease of access to attractions. We highly recommend this inn. You will not be disappointed!

We enjoyed our time at the Foxfield Inn near Charlottesville. Lovely accommodation and grounds. Close to wonderful restaurants but yet still in the countryside. Hosts were very accommodating. Room was large as was bathroom. Wonderful silky bed linens and soft, absorbent towels.

There are a few points that might matter to you: 1. There is no TV in the room. There is a community one in the common area. which is fine, as long as everyone wants to watch the same thing. Yes, some would say watching TV is a waste in a B & B, but if you have been watching the whole season of something, and the finale is while you are out of town, it would be nice to have the option. 2. The coffee/tea service isn't in the room, but in the hallway. That means you can't just get up and have a cup while still in your pj's. You need to be dressed before you even have your first cup. Not and easy thing for some of us. 3. The drive way entrance is hard to see from the road traveling 50mph. The sign is very small, and difficult to see during the day. It is lit at night, which makes it easier to find, however. I realize there are probably restrictions, but it would be nice to know what you are looking for. All in all I think this is a very nice Inn, and would go back if I was in the area again. I'd just be better prepared for it's nuances.

Thank you Dan and Kathryn!

My wife and I stayed at the Foxfield Inn for our 1st anniversary, and were treated from our arrival through departure with care and hospitality. Kathryn and Dan have a beautiful property and really pay attention to details (decor, in room & on-site amenities, cleaning, greeting, etc.)! I appreciated their help in having flowers and champagne to greet us upon our arrival. Each morning the breakfast was AMAZING! We did make use of their hot tub one afternoon, and enjoyed being outside as the trees started to change. It was great to only be 10-15 minutes from downtown Charlottesville. We would definitely recommend staying here to friends and hope to visit again!

What a wonderful B&B from the moment they welcomed us at the door with a cocktail to the delicious breakfasts and beautiful spacious rooms - I cannot say enough about this great find. Great location to the wine trails as well as UVA.

Kathryn and Dan are incredibly sweet people. We were greeted and given the tour. The room had everything and was gorgeous this time of year. The fireplace and in room jacuzzi were personal favorites. The 3 course breakfast was exquisite and the atmosphere couldn't be nicer. Definitely coming back.
