I think this place is brand new!! It is absolutely fabulous!! Clean, fresh, new, new, new!! The room was great, the staff was amazing!! Plenty of parking!!! A great smoking patio out back is easy to access and pleanty of seating!!!

The pool we did not enjoy this time but that and the exercise room were clean and large!

This hotel is fine for what it is. Good location. Be aware that they only clean the rooms every 3 days of your stay. I wasn't aware of this when I booked and when I asked for a light room cleaning (just to pick up old towels, etc) they said they would send someone, but didn't. When we checked in, our initial room smelled heavily of smoke, even though it is a non-smoking property. They moved us right away and the second room was better.

Overall stay was good. Facility was clean and the room was comfortable. Friendly staff. The WiFi is terrible - so slow it was basically non-existent. When I called the front desk, they said I was the second person to call in about the WiFi. They had me call up a third party IT support line and I spent 30 minutes sorting it out with them. At the end, I couldn’t use my devices the way I wanted because the IT team’s solution was to put my devices on a VPN individually, which blocked the streaming apps I was trying use.

The filter on our room was black it was hot in there when I told the lady at the front desk that I need towels she got smart with me and told me she couldn’t walk but finally went and got them

The room was clean. I loved the shower. Too much noise. Did not know the hotel was so close to the interstate so you could hear all the traffic on the interstate I was surprised I had to pay for parking. Also housekeeping came into the room while I was still in the room. They had been told the room was empty.

Room was modern, clean and very well maintained. Beds were comfortable. We were located on the entrance side of the property, which was away from the main road so it was quiet. The other side faced a busy road, so I’m not sure how quiet that side would be. The included breakfast had good choices to satisfy everyone. The small gym had a few cardio machines, a full complement of dumbbells and a cable machine. We considered using the heated indoor pool, but the water was murky, so we opted not to chance it - too bad. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would stay there again.

Hotel is in a great location. The rooms are fairly large and sufficiently clean. Many of the snacks for sale in the lobby were expired.

Nice place a short driving distance from town. Room was clean, good bed, pillows, and shower. Very good breakfast with eggs, waffles, fruit, bagels and toast, oatmeal. Lots of food options along the road nearby. Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods also just down the road.

The sound of too many truck brakes early in the morning

Room was ok but no exhaust fan in bathroom. And all I heard all through the night was traffic. Room is close to the highway!! All I heard was engines reeving up the highway!!! You also need bananas during breakfast!!

Very clean and friendly staff. We were able to check in a little early after arriving to town and they worked quickly to make that happen. Free breakfast was hot and fresh with good options. Location was perfect and easy access. The only issue we had was finding parking. We left to attend an event and when we returned there were no parking spots available other than one handicap one. I don't believe we were the only ones that had this issue as the other handicap spots were taken up by non handicap tagged vehicles. Not sure if the event caused the issue or if it's an ongoing thing as the lot itself isn't very large.

This hotel was located close to the university. It had a good complementary breakfast and the staff was super friendly.

Overall clean in the lobby, halls, and room. The price I got was decent value. Wifi is non-existent. 2nd stay (3rd room) and the speeds are the same (.13Mbps using speedtest). Unusable. For this reason alone I will not stay here if I need to work because you cannot work. The shower caulking is messy and has mold. Same issue as last time. I don't understand why this issue cannot be resolved in most hotels when caulking is fast and easy to do with a professional.

The woman whom was probably a manager was terrific. Overheard our needs and made them happen right away. 2nd time we stayed there and we would come back again.

If you need a great hotel at a good price this hotel is it. Great rooms, staff and breakfast.

The internet is free but they do not twll you that it is extremely slow. How slow? I could not run a download speed test. Whem I raised the issue the hotel staff said that they had raised it to mamagement several times amd management did nothing. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Room was clean and adequate towels. Room was nice with two TVs, sofa and chair. At other places I have been, I may have had a chair but not a sofa and an additional TV.

Stay went well

We had to go back to the front desk because the first two rooms had issues. All three rooms were not clean. Stains, debris and crumbs on the floor, damage, etc. I told the front desk guy when I saw the crumbs on the floor it wasn't a big deal but by the time the ick on the bed sheets (hopefully a part of a raisin?!?) and the broken TV stand there were too many little things to be OK. The second room had bugs. We killed a dozen, wiped down the place and when we got back from dinner there were plenty more to kill and thought we can't sleep like this. It is a great location and the staff was good, apologized, and gave us our third room that was good enough. Unless they change their cleaning and maintenance not sure it is worth the money.

Hotel itself was very nice, being a little picky the pillows were not good but the bed and room were comfortable and clean, only complaint is we asked for a late check out which wasn’t available because of how busy they were, which was fine no big deal but the check out time was for 12:00 we left to go to the store and got back at 11:00 am and our room was being cleaned already and we had the do not disturb sign on the door which was very odd because we still had some of belongings in the room. We told the lady at the front and she looked at us and said sorry about that and walked away.

The staff was good. The room and hotel nice but I was working remotely and the WiFi is poor and was dropping in and out making it difficult to work. Also, I had a King Suite and the TV in the living room was only a Smart TV so I could not watch any regular TV channels. We like the place very much but will probably not to go back because I can't perform my job due to the poor WiFi.

we came to Charlottesville for an appointment at UVA. This hotel is close to the hospital. The check-in process was very quick and efficient. The room was extremely clean. Property was in good condition, in a convenient location, and a good value in the "off-season". We chose it because it was pet friendly and a very convenient location - Orange Theory is a couple of blocks away, and UVA and downtown are a short drive.

Room was not what we expected, room ac/furnace was very loud, the outside music speakers could be heard all night long, we stayed 6 days and un nderstand the cleaning of the room after 3 days, but fresh towels daily would have been nice. Msttress was not very comfortable. Stsff was pleasant, but were not always helpful.

Disappointed the "pet friendly" policy is $75 per pet, which I didn't realize when I booked the $130 room. Would've chosen a different hotel. Paid more for 2 pets, 12 hour stay, than the actual room for my two small children and me.

Coffee had a metallic taste. We went across the street to Starbucks and had coffee and something to eat. Also there was no guide for TV remote and it took forever to find a channel.

The gals at the front desk when we arrived were very friendly and efficient. They offered some great options for dinner and their suggestion did not disappoint. Everyone asked if we needed anything while we were there. One suggestion though…stock the room with more washcloths, cups, coffee, tea, etc. We had a great stay.

Internet access was terrible and it was noisy because of the hotel right next to the highway.

Nice, clean property. Front desk attendant was very pleasant, was quite busy during check-in but she handled with ease. It’s quiet and spacious.

Sharp objects hidden in cushion of desk chair. Pricked my finger and sliced a long deep cut in my palm.

The hotel and staff are great. However my room as very noisy as it overlooked a busy intersection. The hotel also shares a parking lot with lower end hotels. The room was in very good, clean condition, and the included breakfast is nice. If I were to stay here again I’d as for a room facing the parking lot or on the opposite end of the hotel from the intersection.

Very nice welcome. Lovely bed. Shower could use recauking. Cookies upon arrival is a nice touch!

In general, the hotel staff showed disinterest in their guests, serving whilst wearing iPods etc, for the amount we paid, I would have expected better. Also, the hotel looked tired and in need of some TLC.

The property was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. My kids enjoyed the pool area as well. We enjoyed our weekend here.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The room was spotless and well-maintained, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious, which made getting ready each day super comfortable. I really appreciated the complimentary breakfast—there were plenty of options, and everything was fresh. Most of all, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out. Their hospitality truly made the experience feel above and beyond. I’d definitely stay here again!

Check in staff was nice but then the situation turned. Ants in room, cleaning staff ignored the do not disturb sign and tried to enter anyways, and rude check out staff that called and asked why we were not checked out two hours before the check out time.

I used to be there 3 years ago and amenities gone back .the quality of breakfast and the internet speed were far worse than before.I wouldn't recommend that anymore.

Disappointing Experience with Front Desk "Manager" I was very disappointed with the hospitality at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Charlottesville, Virginia. Upon check-in, I arrived with four friends and had booked two rooms for our group. One of my friends stepped up to the counter first and gave her last name, and I simply added that the reservation might be under my last name, since I was the one who booked both rooms. To my shock, the gentleman at the front desk turned to me and said I was being extremely rude. I was confused and asked why, and he replied that he was helping "the other lady," not me. I calmly explained that I had booked the rooms and thought they may be under my name, which is why I spoke up. He responded by saying he didn't care and that I was being rude to "the other lady" by cutting in front of her — despite the fact that we were literally standing side by side, checking in together. All four of us were stunned. My husband then asked to speak with the manager — and unbelievably, the man claimed he was the manager. If this is truly how management treats guests, it’s incredibly disappointing. None of us were rude in any way; we were just trying to check into the rooms I had already reserved. I’ve stayed at many Country Inn & Suites locations and have never had an experience like this. Hospitality and professionalism should be the bare minimum, especially from someone representing the hotel as a manager. Sadly, this enc

The bathroom is good, more updated than the room. Carpet is old and the air in the room was quite stale. Cannot get outside air into the room.

Great graduation weekend- prices were high as expected. Lobby offered champagne and fruit/snacks for families. Very clean and comfortable. Would stay again

Wonderful hotel within a 5-10 minute walk of the Spanish Steps. Great location near all luxury brand and other retailers, a wide variety of restaurants and bakeries and coffee shops. Room was spacious and beautiful. Bed very comfortable. Door windows open out onto a terrace overlooking the street below but there are also rooms in the back. Bathroom also spacious and shower has great water pressure.

I didn’t receive the two beds I requested in my reservation (1 king instead). The hotel was modern and clean. Having two TVs in the room was interesting, but only one worked. The breakfast was fine, but the seating area crowded. Overall, a fairly good experience.

Some sketchy people wandering around outside but hotel is very convenient to UVA and restaurants. Rooms are starting to look a little run down but everything was clean and breakfast was good with plenty of options.

Mostly the stay was good. Beds comfy, room clean, buffet breakfast ok. My disappointment was that with the hotel not full, we were given a room backing to the lift, which was very noisy when the lift ran.

The system was down when we first came in for check-in. The system remained down as people were pouring in for check-in. When the system was back up, the front desk did not notify anybody. When people found out, they all quickly ran up to the front desk to get checked in. It was utter chaos. After a long check in process, we decided to go to the pool to relax a bit. The pool was dirty and reeked heavily of chlorine.

Came in from out of state to tour UVa. Convenient, clean, and economical.
