The Ivey's Hotel

Super loud! Room service was not nice. Asked for tip when it is already included 22% automatically. Would not recommend!

Parking was terrible. They only have valet parking. Unfortunately, the service they use only provides one valet. Their solution is to have you leave your car with the keys in it while you check. The other issue is there is no one to assist you with your bags while you leave your car in the valet parking spot. Would not stay there again because of the parking and check in issue.

There was a sewage smell that permeated the room. We were informed that “they were working on it” when we asked. Cold water in sink never got cold no matter how long we ran it.

The Ivey’s hotel was amazing. Nice clean and beautiful hotel.

Have stayed here numerous times. It’s charming and elegant. The elevator has never worked so bags need to be carried up to the room. Plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby.

Exceptional experience! Beautiful hotel in the heart of Uptown surrounded by many restaurants bars and the event centers this location was great for our overnight stay. Valet is pricey at $60 but in this area parking is expensive. The entire staff were so friendly and welcoming and very attentive. Luxurious, we received complementary champagne in our room and a complementary cocktail at the bar. The vibe was southern hospitality dripping in Parisian luxury. The bed was firm, high quality linens and pillows and the absolute coziest throw blanket. We ordered room service breakfast and the French toast is a must, delicious! We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. A million stars!!

It’s clean and nice but, much too expensive for a tiny room that had a window overlooking the interior foyer. Valet parking was $60. I would not stay here again.

This hotel thinks of everything. Our room lights, TV, and heat was on when we got to our room. The staff offered us tooth brushes, tooth paste, etc because they new our bags got lost and we had nothing but the clothes we were wearing. The rooms are delightful. The hotel is clean and the staff is amazing. Will definitely stay here again.

An upscale five star boutique Hotel with a wonderful service. In-house additional amenities. There is really only one option for parking which is valet. Definitely go that route to make your life easier.

It was cozy and comfortable. It was cold in the bathroom, and the room… But they fixed that by giving us a space heater…. Problem solved. They may want to put a rug in front of the toilet for some warmth, it is very cold on the floors.

The rooms were very clean the staff there was very professional and very charming the breakfast in the restaurant there I thought it could be a little better, but it was OK. The dinner could be a lot better. They just have small portions and they need to change the menu to make bigger style of meals. And just want to thank the managers for compensating a issue we had in our room but everything was great staff the valet staff housekeeping it was just a great hotel to stay in and I definitely will be back and I advise anyone if you want a nice beautiful clean hotel. This is the one. And me and my wife just want to thank the hotel for the nice stay.

Overall, I had a good experience at the Iveys hotel. I can see how it is highly rated for its lovely decor and cleanliness. I also found the location to be perfect and located in a bussling area of the city with lots of walkable entertainment. There was a lot of walking traffic and street level noise from my city view room but it didn’t bother me because I was there to take in the downtown nightlife. The lighting was a bit dim in my room and we were missing an iron or a steamer which proved to be a challenge for me when I needed to get dressed the next morning. I also found that the on site staff were very busy and a little slow to grant requests. The valet staff was very professional and friendly. There also was a prominent food smell in the downstairs lobby from the Qdoba that shares the building which caught me off guard. Also, the elevator was broken throughout our entire stay which was a bit of an inconvenience even though the hotel only has 2 floors. I was also really looking forward to visiting the on site lounge and it was closed for a private event with no other onsite bar option. I would still recommend this hotel for the charm and location alone.

The inside of the hotel was absolutely gorgeous! However the parking is awful and we ended up having to park at a different hotel and walk all of our luggage to the Ivey. The staff was wonderful though! Very nice and helpful.

Beautiful. A world unto its own. What greeted us outside the property and the feeling of danger because of all the homelessness and crime I walked from Knight theater to the hotel and every bench was filled with a homeless person. It is TERRIBLE. AND EXTREMELY UNSAFE

Problem with AC/Heat. Unable to be repaired during our stay. The management did what they could to make us comfortable, and some compensation. Elevator was out of order so had to use the stairs. Didn't go to the gym. Food was good at the restaurant, especially the breakfast

Gorgeous room. My favorite hotel in Charlotte. It made it hard to want to go out into the city because the room was that nice. The only thing I thought was strange was the bathroom had a huge window next to the bathtub and that window overlooked a day care playground facility. I think the floor to ceiling bathtub windows facing this facility would more appropriately be stained or blurred to where you can not see out/in.

My only complaint were the price(s) for room service and the restaurant (Sophia's Lounge). The food was excellent, but everything was pretty expensive. For a coffee and a single mimosa, $30. If your expecting these prices, this hotel is a no brainer.

This property is absolutely beautiful! Have stayed for 2 girls weekends and could not have felt more pampered. Will stay every time I visit Charlotte. Was disappointed with the lack of shops, galleries, boutiques in the area.

Great hotel and I always stay there when I go to Charlotte. The rooms are unique and quiet. The room service breakfast is affordable, timely and really really good. The restaurant while having a minimal menu is is a nice quiet place to go for a beer and an appetizer. The library lounge is always a favorite for me and my colleagues to hang out. The fitness center is adequate and stocked with water, apples and protein bars. Overall the hotel is 5 star. Only issues is downtown Charlotte is a little sketchy especially after 6pm and you have to be aware of your surroundings always when visiting….

The Ivey’s was a beautiful ornate boutique hotel. The staff were all courteous and helpful. We had an issue with our room was available at check in. The staff offered us complementary cocktails but we were just tired from traveling. I would certainly recommend this Hotel.

First off the staff were exceptional. They made us feel so special and even had a treat prepared for my daughter pre-celebratory 13th birthday! The linens were so soft and the fragrance throughout the entire property was heavenly, The tv was my least favorite. Not easy to use and no options.

The property was beautiful and every staff member we met was extremely friendly and helpful. The only problem we encountered was the toilet would not stop running on our last day.

The Hotel was very nice, and clean. If you forgot any personal items they had you covered. Staff were friendly and had made sure we had an easy check in and check out .

We have stayed in hotels all over the world. The Ivey's hotel in Charlotte, NC was nothing short of exceptional. From the young man who parked the car to the check-in staff to the wait staff in the restaurant, all of it was terrific. There is no question that we would stay there again.

The service was phenomenal! They truly made sure my stay was comfortable and treated me like family. Grayson knows your name and goes above and beyond to make your stay great! Eliot & Alex were super kind valet employees, best I've experienced.

Wonderful hotel! If you want to have the comforts and experience of luxury, The Ivey is that place! From the wonderful receptionist that checked me in (and even helped me when I locked myself out of the room), the staff who brought food for my in room dining, and all the options of the mini bar and comfy bed, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I was there on a work trip, but I plan on returning the next time I’m in Charlotte regardless of the occasion.

The Iveys is, hands down, the best hotel in Charlotte. We come often for shows and would stay here every time, if we could. Everything is beautiful, staff is wonderful, rooms are impeccable and relaxing. Please don't hesitate if youre on the fence!

I stayed at Hotel Ivey recently and overall, the property was cute, clean, and in a great location. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming—which I truly appreciated. However, there were a few drawbacks worth noting: • On our first night, I tried contacting guest services multiple times over a 30-minute period with no luck. I was traveling with my daughter and needed an extra blanket, and it was frustrating not being able to get timely assistance. • The main elevator was out of service during our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel staff wasn’t very accommodating in offering access to the resident elevator—even though I clearly had a stroller and a baby in tow. Thankfully, a kind security guard allowed us access, but it would’ve made a big difference if hotel management had extended that courtesy themselves. • While the hotel has a lounge, it doesn’t open until after 5 PM. Since this was partly a work trip, I had to head across the street to Capital Grille to get lunch and a quiet space to work during the day. A daytime option on-site would have been much more convenient. • Lastly, there’s no on-site sundry or convenience store. Outside of the minibar in the room, there was nowhere to grab basic items or snacks, which made things a bit inconvenient. In short: great staff and aesthetic, but a few missing touches made the stay less smooth than it could’ve been—especially for families or business travelers.

The Ivey’s was a great boutique hotel in downtown Charlotte! It was nicely appointed & decor was current & Parisian in flare. Beds were very comfortable & bathroom had nice toiletries. Would stay here again!

everything about the property was good, if not great in some areas but the room was unbearable due to the noise coming from the toilet. the room was borderline unsleepable. my spouse came to town and got a room at another hotel because she was unable to sleep with the noise.

It would be nice not to be booked in a room near the stairs. I could hear the conversation outside my room as they took pictures during my night of rest

For checkout at 11 and no possible early check in, that leaves 5 hours

Broken elevator and staff not apologetic nor were we given prior notice that this was a problem and it clearly was not a single day issue

This is an amazing hotel! The room was beautiful, with lots of little extra touches, like an exfoliator in the shower and several nice bath items. We loved the library bar and the restaurant. All of the staff were so friendly and they seemed to really enjoy helping. I'll definitely stay again.

The Ivey's Hotel made our stay in Charlotte. The friendly and professional staff, the cleanliness was above all I have seen in a hotel, the extra comforts in the room from high quality products to a fully stocked food and mini bar, Bose speakers, music in the room, high end linens and more - it definitely felt like a luxury hotel experience. Walking distance to museums and great restaurants. Great gym and bar, free wine at HH, champagne waiting in our room. If we're ever in Charlotte again, we will definitely stay here.

Beautiful hotel, luxurious room with everything you would need. Second floor room right over main downtown room was remarkably quiet on a busy night after a concert. Staff was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Charlotte.

I enjoyed my stay and the overall aesthetic of the whole hotel. The staff were great and welcoming.

Got a horrible small room with a/c that worked fine until around 11:30 pm when it stopped cooling, but resumed again around 7:30 am. I turned off the tv a number of times in the middle of the night, but the screen would turn back on later waking me up. Very low water pressure in the faucets. Pillows were incompatible with successful sleeping.

The hotel was very nice! Great location and very friendly staff!

Stains on the couch. Pollen on the outdoor furniture. iPad phone not working. No microwave.

From the check in process to the check out process, it was fabulous! The champagne fairy was a great touch as well! As I was entering my room, a young lady was just coming out from leaving me a small bottle of champagne. Such a great start to my stay! It wasn’t long enough, and I plan to return!
