    Horrible experience! First time being at a hotel that charges you in full up front and charges you the deposit up front as well. So, check in and I guess there was only one person working the entire hotel and he was extremely rude. Get to the room and the sleep sofa was nasty looking including what appeared to be years of stains, one of the lights by the bed not working, no soap by the sink or in the bathroom, and when I go to call front desk the phone didn’t work! The breakfast buffet that was advertised online is really just 2 hot plates with eggs and sausage or bacon and the first morning we were there the waffle machine was broken. They also advertised a snack bar and deli…..everything was gone….very few items to buy. We had to drive out to get snacks and this hotel is not in the best area of Charlotte. So in summation AVOID AVOID AVOID! The pictures on the internet make this place look waaaaay nicer than it really is!! Horrible experience and oh yea everyone says they are a manager but when you have an issue pass the buck to another person.

    the room had a broken toilet seat, staff wasn’t too helpful and my group was told they never had a pool at their facility and you aren’t able to change the temperature for the ac unit if it gets too cold

    This is not a fancy or updated hotel. This is a “need some rest for tomorrow’s duties” kind of stay. It’s clean and the staff is nice and helpful. The room we stayed in was comfortable for our big family and shuttle service was provided to and from the airport.

    Nice staff. Breakfast was great. Eggs sausage and potatoes delicious and they also had packaged muffins and fresh muffins, packets of oatmeal to make and batter for fresh waffles to be made and individual sized cereal bowls and juices and coffee and teas and fresh fruits. Room was clean and comfortable. Sofabeds are never comfortable anywhere I’ve been and it was old looking. Parking was free and convenient

    I liked the layout of the room , we had good parking . Our room wasn’t properly cleansed . It smelled of musty old gym socks . The bathtub had hair and some kind of grit in it . We had flies in our room & the couch had stains all over it . The box springs were stained , one of the pillows had stains and the rags . We had to get more rags from the front desk . We literally had to buy products to clean and make the room smell good .

    Due to weather, my flight was cancelled and I had to spend the night in Charlotte. I booked a room on Expedia. When I called the hotel asking where to pick up the shuttle, the woman answering was talking to two other people at the same time. Expedia said there was a free shuttle, She was very curt and said the shuttle stopped service at 11. Then she hung up. I took a taxi to the hotel. When checking in, a different woman was behind the front desk. She didn’t even have the courtesy to say hello. My message to management, “Wake up!” Your team is in need of replacement. Regarding the only positive experience, Kkudos to the free continental breakfast!

    My group had a very bad experience at another hotel that was rundown and soiled with mold in the bathroom. We checked out at 9:30 am booked the Beacon and when the gentleman was told what we went through at the other hotel he checked us in early so we could get well needed rest. Top notch experience at the Beacon thanks again for such great service.

    I will never stay at this place again. I checked in around 11pm, tired from a long drive. Now I don't know if the staff member that helped me was having a bad day, but the moment my family and I walked through the door we all felt the bad vibes spewing off of this person. We let it go because we just tired and wanted to get some sleep. We made it to our room and found out there was no lining on the sofa bed. I attempted to call the front desk three times to see about getting lining for the bed, but got no answer. I went down to the front desk and spoke to a young lady about the situation and the answer I got was unbelievable. I was told with an attitude that the hotel don't put sheets on the sofa beds. After going back and forth with her she reluctantly provided me with a blanket and what appeared the sheets. When I asked her for a pillow her response just completely dumbfounded me. She let me know that the "hotel don't have any pillows." (WHAT???? A hotel with no pillows.) So finally she goes to a back room and retrieved a pillow. So I go back to my room to put the lining on the bed, "that the hotel don't do". And came to find out the sheets and blankets that she gave me was actually a blanket and eight pillow cases. No sheets. So now I go back down to the front desk to get the sheets. But wait there's more. But unfortunately I don't have enough space to complete my story. Me personally I am never going back to this place.

    The check staff was overwhelmed and other support staff did not seem to care about lending any assistance. The shower in our room was not in the best condition. Mold around the edges, the stopper was missing and the shower curtain was hanging on with one screw and some cardboard. The Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was disappointing.

    Info all stated 11 pm shuttle cut-off. At arrival they informed us it had stopped at 9pm. Hotel is dated, lots of holes in wall, stains etc. Our first room was uncleaned, possibly had someone inside. Left too early to try breakfast. Front desk staff accompanied us to new room, which was top floor, no complaints. Comfy bed! Nothing special for the price. They did offer us a free bottle of water in the morning =) Shuttle driver was super nice.

    The hotel is a renamed Spring Hill Suites that has not been updated . The room was old, with mildew in the bathtub caulk and stains in the duvet. The shuttle information is wrong on the listing and when I requested a ride via an app, the address wasn’t updated causing confusion. The morning front desk staff was not helpful.

    It’s an airport hotel. Keep expectations low. Staff was friendly and helpful but rooms are dirty. The toilet in my room literally had urine stains on the seat and feces still in the toilet. Handle on bathroom was broken with splintered wood around it. Yogurt at breakfast was expired. You get what you pay for.

    However, there were also some issues. We booked this hotel through Expedia because it listed transportation from the airport to the hotel. When we called the hotel after landing, we were told the shuttle service stops at 9:00 PM. It would have been helpful to know this before booking so we could have planned our arrival accordingly. When we arrived and got to our room, we found several maintenance problems. The toilet was very loose and teetered back and forth, which was concerning. In the morning, we also discovered there was no hot water in the bathroom sink, and the shower was not working. While the staff during check-in were polite, the maintenance issues in the room and the confusion regarding airport transportation made parts of the stay disappointing.

    Just wasn’t that good. Between the AC/heater not working to the TV/tv remote not working properly to the non exhaust in the bathroom to the spots on the ceiling. Just a lot issues. Honestly you should save money and go down to the Microtel. Smaller but in wayyy better shape and customer service

    The night manager Thursday night was great. The other staff was not rude but not helpful. First room was dirty we had to move to another. Phone did not work, it was missing cover over smoke detector and caluk around bathtub peeling. It was comfotable nights sleep so value for the money.

We had to Uber to get to the hotel. When we got there, the receptionist was wearing headphones & couldn't hear us, forcing us to repeat ourselves several times during check-in rather than simply taking off her headphones. At breakfast, I waited about 10 minutes but no one ever brought out hard boiled eggs before I had to catch my shuttle to the airport--yes, it does run in the morning, thankfully! The shuttle driver was on time as well as extremely nice & upbeat--even at 6:30am! :)

    Check in was great and the staff member was excellent with trying to accommodate our needs. The first room we were in didn’t have hot water so we ask to move. The second was smaller, had hot water, but had mold growing in the bathroom. Overall, not a good experience for just being there a few hours.

    Terrible !!!No shampoo, conditioner or body wash liquid in the bathroom. Asked them to put some the second day. The guy at the front said you either get soap or body wash not both and didnt bother putting new shampoo or conditioner either. Terrible breakfast too . Never coming back

    Breakfast was nice When we checked in the key cards weren’t working so we had to be manually let in by front desk everytime! Our whole floor was extremely hot and our room took forever to cool down. There were no extra sheets for the pull out couch and was told there was none when I asked for some.

With that being said, it was more than an hour in line to check in — no, that’s not an exaggeration: 12:32a - 1:34a. There were two people at the front desk, a woman and a man. The woman was fantastic; she had a good disposition and was checking people in while answering the phone. The man was basically refusing to help anyone and was very rude. The room was older, however bedding was updated and beds were comfortable, but it was NOT a $200 a night room. It was more akin to a budget hotel with many things needing attention including two of the three locks on my room. Overall, it was a last minute need and it met that, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

    Location to the ball parks & city. Location was under renovation which was not listed so they had no pool access. Rooms were very dated- ours had a broke lock, broken bathroom doorknob that wouldn't close or lock properly, stains & rips on the couch and floors. Breakfast was awful & never replenished. The lady whom worked breakfast chose "favorites" on who she gave items too. Front desk woman that checked us out was dressed very unprofessional; wild hair, stained clothes & you could definitely tell she wasn't wearing a bra. This location was not worth the price we paid to stay there.

    I took my daughter and her friends here for her birthday and it was the worse experience. I called before I booked to ask about the pool and the receptionist stated that they had a pool but failed to inform me that there was no water in the pool. The hot water kept going out after 2 people took a shower so it took us hours to even get ready and out the room. The cleanliness was not acceptable. I would never ever book this hotel again. The fan and light in the kitchenette did not work so I could cook without worry about if I would set something off.

    It had heat. There was a storm in NC that day so they cancelled the airport shuttle. We were told it was for the safety of the clients. Not TRUE! It was for the safety of the driver. We had to take a taxi to get there. Ultimately we were reimbursed but it was frustrating. The shower knob was backwards and there was hair all over the bathroom floor. YUCK!! The hotel is just run down and kind of dirty. It was no less expensive than any other airport hotels and the value just wasn't there. We did get extra points on my membership but it didn't do anything for my stay.

There was stains on the carpet, the wall paper was coming away from the wall, the bed skirts had brown stains, and the shower curtain was far too short for the bathtub, which created puddles on the floor causing slipping hazards.     Upon arrival, the desk clerk and the shuttle driver were personable, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. However, my experience quickly deteriorated upon reaching room 419. The room conditions were appalling and unacceptable for any guest, let alone for someone celebrating their 23rd anniversary with family. Here are the specific issues I encountered: Room Cleanliness: There were numerous dried blood stains on the dirty carpet. The green pull-out bed was soiled and the room had a terrible, unpleasant odor. The bed linens were soiled, and I had to request clean sheets from the front desk. The A/C unit was loud The Elevator - was dirty Overall Experience: The poor condition of the room significantly marred our anniversary celebration and caused great discomfort for our two children. Given these issues, I feel that my stay was not only disappointing but also posed health risks to my family. I request a full refund for the inconvenience and substandard service.     The room needs some basic work done. The walls looked dirty and dingey. The tub stopper was broken. There wasn't anyone replacing the breakfast foods at 8am. There were no waffles present. The bathroom door handle was broke, the shower tap leaked a lot, and there was no hot water so I couldn’t shower prior to a full travel day.     Great breakfast. Comfortable beds. Unfortunately the tv reception was sketchy and getting hot water for a shower took almost 10 minutes. Nice place for just an overnight stay.

    Upon arrival the receptionist sounded like she was on a personal phone call and was rude upon check in. The toilet in the bathroom takes 2-3 times to flush. The air is not correctly working. The phone in the room does not work to call down to the front desk. The hot water went out which I understand things happen, but the blame was put on a team staying here. That they all showered at the same time and used it up. I’m sorry but if you are a hotel and can accommodate a specific amount of people the hot water should be able to last. At 8:30 the next morning it still wasn’t on. The pull out couch had dirt all throughout it that our kids are sleeping on so we doubled up the bedding. We originally planned to stay two nights but have cancelled our second night and if it wasn’t so late we would have left that first night we were there.

    Shuttle never showed up to pick me up at the airport. I waited 1.5 hours. Constan excuses from hotel manager on duty. I ended up sleeping on the floor in the airport.

    The shower wall was broken. Didn’t impact me but it needs repair. The smoke detector was hanging down. Could not tell if it worked or not. A little unsettling though. I looked around and the finish in the bathroom was not up to what I would expect from a Marriott.

    One of the worst stays I have had at any Spring Hill Suites. Hot water didn’t work in our room and when we went to take a shower the water pressure was missing. Floors dirty hair on the ceiling. At check in we were told breakfast went until 10:30, at 10:00 we went down to be told it ended at 10. Fine-we will just eat some cinnamon rolls we were given by a friend and asked for forks. Got reminded breakfast was over at 10…. Not impressed and wouldn’t stay again.

    Checkin was quick and easy and there was plenty of parking available. The room was fairly dirty (carpet either dirty or heavily stained, slimy shower curtain, odd-smelling towels, spilled food in the freezer) and breakfast options were quite limited. Overall, it was fine for a one night stay but I'll probably look for somewhere else in the future.

    I must thank Ms. Lisa for going out of her way to help me. Mr. Harry is one of the shuttle drivers. He’s friendly and like Ms. Lisa went out of his way to help me. I WILL stay here again. Remember to always be kind to yourself AND kind to others.

    This is by far the worst Marriott that we have ever stayed at. The hotel was run down, dirty, no hot water and there was suppose to be BREAKFAST included however they ran out of everything and we got yogourt only. This will be our first and last time staying at this hotel. Marriott should be ashamed of themselves, the standards at this hotel is lacking.

    The only downfall with this hotel was I called down to the front desk multiple times and asked for a plunger and never received one to use. As a result, I had to resolve the issue myself and as paying customers that should’ve been taken care of right away. That only messed up my whole weekend.

    Building was clean and my room was clean and comfortable. Disappointed that the pool is closed (and emptied). Luggage cart was unavailable several times, and staff did not really seem to care. Housekeeping was extremely loud during the day, banging doors.

    The only positive was that the bed was very comfortable. If you want housekeeping make sure to ask. After our first night we requested fresh towels and arrived back at 11pm and the room was untouched. There was also no where to park in the lot because of an event going on next door so after asking the front desk and receiving no help we had to double park and hope not to get towed. After our second night we requested a full housekeeping service. When we arrived that night the room had been cleaned but one of the two towels left was so dirty my husband was unable to shower.

    We chose this property for its proximity to the airport and for the shuttle service. We scheduled our shuttle ride the day before our check out and the following morning no one showed up to drive the shuttle. The desk staff did not seem interested in finding out where they were or in helping us make other arrangements.

    As soon as we walk in to the room, the fan didn't work, light didn't work (they put a light bulb in after we told them),closet door was broke, stains all over the sofa bed, and linnens, cabinet doors where broken and to make matters worse the shower had a leak! It was annoying, we stayed 2 nights and they didn't do room service and the day we were leaving they knock 2 hours before check out.

    My stay at this hotel was unimpressive until I talked to the General Manager. I expressed him my concerns and immediately he listened to my concerns and did right to fix the situation!! He was the only GM that I had met so far that was there for the customers!! I appreciate his customer service and if he continues to be the GM I will stay at that hotel again!
