It's an absolute Exquisite place to stay only negative thing I have to say about it is the provided mini fridge has only room for what the resort provides

Service Delicious Beautiful hotel!!!

Loved it!!! Had a nightmare flight from Mexico to Frankfurt and got diverted here. Had a good spa experience and lovely comfortable bed. Helped to ease some of the frustration!!!

Fantastic staycation! Went for the weekend for my anniversary and the staff was fantastic and brought us a small gift to celebrate. The grounds were beautiful and so were the rooms. Can’t wait to stay again.

As for the hotel, it was fine, but did not live up to the expectation based on price and location. The incident at the spa was our kick-off. Since my husband could not join me, he went to the pool. He sat at the bar (no one else was there) and of the 3 attendants working, no one acknowledged him. He left after 20 minutes. Multiple times when we went to sit on the porch off of the bar, trash from previous people were still on tables. Beyond that, everything else was really clean. Another big disappointment was that there was no coffee in the room. There was a note that said you could get coffee in the main lobby. I was not excited about having to dress and go down to the lobby for my regular cup of coffee. C I had wanted to spend a relaxing morning with coffee on our balcony. We dressed and left. The bathroom was OK. We did a balcony room and it was spacious but not worth the extra money. The bed was good. The guy that checked us out was nice. There was a charge on our bill from the pool that was not ours because my husband was never helped. He removed said charge.

I have enjoyed staying at the Ballantyne Hotel for almost 20 years. It is the only place I stay when I come to Charlotte.

The hotel, rooms, dinning and pool were excellent and we definitely will be back. The walking distance to other restaurants is also a plus!

Clean rooms. Lobby was overly crowded from all the events that were going on. This hotel is too small for 4 events to be going at the same time staff was rude when me and family was try to take pictures with our personal phones in the lobby during our stay. Told us we wasn’t allowed to take any photos of ourselves on the premises but on the website it clearly states to utilize any area of the hotel. And also was told when I arrived that we could. Spoke with them about it and I was told that the security that was hired was frustrated from removing visitors early from the hotel, which is no excuse to be rude with your paying guest. I will never stay at the hotel again on top of it wasn’t no where near being a resort like Grandover in Greensboro. So please don’t waste your money.

We do staycation's in Charlotte here! Its nice to book a room, have a spa day and get away from the hectic work life while still being only 25 min away from the house. We always have a great experience and the staff are great.

Hotel was nice overall not what I expected… couldn’t sleep well people were loud in the hallway all night walls so thin you can hear everything in the halls. Found mold in my champagne glass from the cup .

Check In/Out services: Friendly staff, Sophia greeted us and explained the properties amenities Valet and Bell service: Chuck, Bob and jack were pleasant to talk with and helped without hesitation. The massage and Dunbar areas were clean, and staff were friendly and polite. My massage was great! Thanks Kiki, my massage therapist. Overall, the facility is clean, pool, sauna, outdoor well kept. It is within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. We walked to Velvet ice cream place. From relaxing, to fun time, to resting, this place exceeding our expectations. We will love to stay here again.

The room was clean and the restaurants were great, the pool on the other hand was a little outdated and very loud with children playing and going in and out of the hottub. I feel if they are going to have the prices of a high end spa there should be a separate area for children and other hotel guests. It completely ruined my zen with the spa.

Perfect Hotel. Lovely staff. Perfectly clean and certainly 5-star. Great location in Charlotte. A green walking area near Ballantyne, a huge play area for children. Delightful restaurants nearby in easy walking distance, through the green area.

When we arrived at our room - maintenance was in the room working on the TV. We waited outside the room over 10 min. There was also a dried contact lens on the bathroom floor from someone else.

Room was so comfortable. The steak dinner was delicious! No coffee pot in the room.. not everyone likes to have to put on clothes and go down to the lobby for coffee. Don't want to have to but a very expensive coffee just to wake up. They're not expensive

Now charging 20 dollars for parking (even when you are a spa guest). Water did not turn on hot in shower for 15 minutes when using it AM. Limited menu due to restaurant being shut down. People on phone in spa despite signs. Long line for spa check out.

Not all rooms have shower/tub combination as advertised here in booking.com as hotel website as well so be sure to confirmed with front desk the room type.

I will admit I had some reservations due to the price per hotel room, but the staff's professional nature and quick responses were exceptional. The decor and luxuriousness definitely made me feel like a VIP. I would certainly stay here again- especially for the quality of the bed and the shower!

The place is beautiful, but upon check-in, we were greeted with a massive (shouting loud) wedding cocktail party which completely overwhelmed the bar and the entire lobby, including the check-in desk. We had to yell at eachother to complete the check-in. Worse, the bar was "closed for a private event." Real lame when you're excited for an evening drink and there's no alternate. We used the pool and it was nice. I was happy to hear they had 24hr room service, but that was a bit of a joke. It took over an hour to show up, and when it did, the "fruit plate" was a few pieces of melon and like grapes or something. That and a pretty good charcuterie plate was $100 for the food only. That it took an hour was icing on the cake. In the morning we were short on time, so we opted for the coffee bar, which had grab and go snacks and hot breakfast sandwiches to order. We grabbed a variety of things which were fine, and ordered one of the sandwiches. I went to cut it in half, which was impossible. I had to bring it back to the cashier, which could only phone the manager. The manager was nice and explained the sandwich had been made wrong which is why the bread was like plywood. She remade the sandwich as best as could be done, but even then it was gas station quality at best, only 3x the price. I'm all in on paying all the money for a quality experience, but in only 12 hours, the amount of corner-cutting was very disappointing.

For the most part everything was well, great size room, ac worked perfect! However we tried ordering in room dining and it took over an hour and half to call us back to place an order. At that point it was past 1:30am. Don't promote 24 hour dinning if you cant cater to your hotel guest.

However, for the $400 nightly rate, the room itself was disappointing. The décor felt outdated and dim, with carpet that had noticeable stains and did not feel clean. While robes and slippers were provided, the bathroom tile was worn and in need of updating. Upon arrival, I found a visible stain on the bedsheets — housekeeping did respond immediately, but it was still an unsettling first impression. The in-room minibar automatically charges if an item is moved, and there was no espresso or coffee machine available in the room — surprising for a property of this category. The spa, while spacious, felt overly segmented with too many small rooms, making it feel disjointed rather than relaxing. Dining at the on-site restaurant for Saturday brunch was mixed: the food was fine, but our waitress appeared impatient and visibly displeased with even small requests.

The room was very nice, spacious, and the amenities were good. Enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant. Shuttle service to the Bowl was helpful. The inside pool and hot tub area was kept clean. Nice size fitness room and decent equipment. Not having a refrigerator in our room, little things should be paid attention to such as blown light bulbs, soap dispensers, etc. The chairs outside by the pool area need to be replaced.

I absolutely LOVE Ballantyne resort. The beds were comfortable, the food was amazing, the resort was within walking distance of many things and I completely forgot I was in CLT. We had an amazing time and will definitely visit again soon.

Beautiful hotel, great spa treatment, yummy breakfast…the only problem was that the beds are too high, I struggled climbing into bed. Also, the room was close to the elevator therefore too noisy.

Loved every aspect of this hotel def. Worth what is charged will be coming back for sure! Directions/signs to find facilities. Did have to ask a lot of the worker where things were. I did also go to the spa I never received my complimentary drink but my sister who accompanied me did. Maybe some clarification of what is offered.

We had a phenomenal time. The rooms were excellent. The front desk staff was extremely polite and helpful. The food was amazing and the Spa was great! Highly recommended.

The location was great for concerts at the outdoor venue. Room and bathroom were really lovely with a sweet view of the park area.

Great stay! Last weekend 5/3/25….only issue was that we had some dirty bedding on one of the queen sized bed in our room. We called down to the front desk in the middle of the morning and they came right away to change everything. Great customer service. Really beautiful property. In walking distance to restaurants. Beautiful hotel. We had a room with the balcony that overlooked a beautiful small lake with a fountain. The beds were very comfortable. There is not a coffee maker, but there is room service. The TV was a smart TV, so if you want to hang out in your comfortable bed and watch Netflix, that is definitely an option.

Restaurant. Only negative is that it was about 25 minutes from downtown Charlotte. Loved the hotel but was kinda stuck and not able to explore. Still, hotel was beautiful and well kept. 4.5 out of 5 stars

Stayed for my Birthday and it was amazing the room was decorated with a beautiful flowers! The spa was heaven and a great experience. It was a little noisy late night due to some guest but overall I enjoyed my stay!

Beautiful place. The rooms and everything is so elegant and beautiful. Food was good. The drinks were delicious. They made you feel at home. Excellent service. It’s worth every dollar. My only complaint was the local police following me inside the lot. I was circling back around to park my car and he pulls two parking spaces down. Almost directly behind me. Watch me get out and go inside. Just feel like if you’re going to watch me at least don’t make it seem so obvious. He only did it because I’m black. I can’t give the hotel a bad review because some flashlight cop. I would highly recommend the hotel speak to them about guest harassment. That will definitely run business off.

Lots of places to walk to, playground for kids up to age 10 or so. However, we were horribly disappointed that this was a NYE stay and the kids didn’t get to use the pool because it was out. Not anyone’s fault exactly but I chose this hotel from their pool photos for a fun night out. Instead we just watched tv all night because what else was there to do with small kids at a hotel.

Very stately and impressive from outside with great area in rear of building I would say geared towards kids and families. The shopping and restaurants you overlook is very inviting and fun! But, the drawn backs is the very cold temperatures while we where there due to construction under bar and restaurant. I mean freezing!! Lobby very small in fact the whole first floor is very chopped up not “Grand” at all the stairs you see in the pictures are down the hall very weird! Whatever! The most upsetting to us is ALL hidden fees!!! 29% wow!! The SPA considered world class as I was told was nothing more than average again 24%fee plus 5% service fee to the hotel and still a place for additional tip! Guests be aware. I won’t even talk about the restaurant!

Great stay. Wish they had a microwave and a coffee maker or a Kaurig in the rooms. Food was excellent! My wife and I wish we could take that bed home with us. Slept like babies.

From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere radiated classic sophistication. While the hotel is a 4-star property, the service is undoubtedly 5-star. Check-in was seamless, and I was impressed by the thoughtful touch of having staff check in to see if I needed any extras like towels, washcloths, water, or other essentials throughout my stay. My room was incredibly spacious, featuring a sitting area and a large desk that doubled as a great spot for work and dining. I appreciated the option to request a refrigerator, and I noticed other guests had microwaves, which adds a nice level of convenience. In the lobby, coffee and tea are available every morning from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., which is a great perk for early risers. My balcony overlooked the serene Stream Park, a beautiful space easily accessible from the lower level of the hotel or by a short walk outside. The location is also fantastic. A quick 5-minute walk took me to The Bowl at Ballantyne, where I found plenty of dining and drinking options. Additionally, the hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport and close to shopping malls, parks, and other attractions. Amenities like the pool, gym, and spa make The Ballantyne ideal for both locals looking for a relaxing staycation and out-of-town visitors like myself. Hotel delivers an

I stayed 2 nights and refrigerator was not replenished and the bathroom was not cleaned as well as it could have been and items not refreshed. the room was really really nice and comfortable but the room cleaner should be trained better or do better.

The property and the surrounding area was clean and manicured. Staff was professional and courteous. It was a great experience.

We also got a couples massage at the Spa and it was wonderful! The spa facilities were excellent.

Wonderful visit for New Years

Many dining option in walking distance. Free parking. The friendliness of the hotel employees. The rooms are quiet, functional and tastefully designed. Comfortable bed separate shower and bathtub.

If it weren’t for living in Charlotte, we would stay at this hotel again and again if needed to visit this area.

The hotel was beautiful, elegant and unpretentious. The staff were friendly and efficient. The free New Years Eve party was a nice bonus. Will definitely return

Very lovely hotel, beds were nice and soft and the lobby was very decorative.

I loved the beauty and the elegance of the Ballantyne. The staff, food and service were exceptional. The rooms are large and spacious with beautiful water and park views. The linens and towels were soft and embraceable. I highly recommend staying at The Ballantyne for a special event, or when you want to feel pampered. They had a Ginger Bread House contest and the families all did an amazing job. We left on Dec. 26 and a beautiful set-up for Christmas Tea. Next time, we’ll stay 4 nights to enjoy the Tea.

Unfortunately the Ballantyne Resort and Spa experience has declined since our last visit. Personalized service with boutique experience is gone. Very corporate feel and lacks previous vibe. I will avoid all of the specifics, but will make a few. Floral arrangements and plants dead/dying. Retail spa space depleted of products. Confusion/inaccuracy in our spa reservation and the list goes on. This will be our final visit:-(

Other than Evan and the bellhops… The staff here is incredibly rude even though I have been coming here for over a decade. I spent over $30,000 in the last two years in the spa, etc., and they still are the most disrespectful individuals I’ve ever met. I will never stay here again. The spa staff. Awful and I was charged for a service I canceled. This is the ONLY bad review I’ve ever given on here. There was also a roach(I didn’t mention it since they seem to think the people including me staying here are looking for a discount) SO STUPID. No one dropping 2 plus grand in a night is looking for that!!

We requested concierge assistance to help with restaurant and event tickets. They never responded after multiple attempts. This hotel presents itself as high end, but without concierge service, luggage assistance, and valet it’s just a really nice expensive Marriott Courtyard.

Overall, my recent stay was pleasant with welcoming staff and a gorgeous park view from the balcony in my room. There were a few minor hiccups, such as the bathtub drain being clogged, only to find out as I was showering. The work order was submitted that same day but seemed to be delayed as the maintenance staff arrived the following day to fix it. Due to this unexplained delay, I may be hesitant to select this hotel as my first option next time.

Me and my girlfriend came down for the Panthers game, and this hotel was perfect for our trip. It was clean, comfortable, and the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed your bar, it was a vibe. Only minor complaint id have was it was a bit noisy at times in our room but you can't really control that. I will be back when we visit Charlotte again

Great hotel on nice setting .

For more than $500 per night with taxes, the property was underwhelming. Most disappointing was the room. No different than any other hotel in that area. Shower door was falling off the hinge making it very difficult to get in and out of. The shower door handle was also falling off probably because of how difficult it was to use. Just not what I expected when treating myself to such a nice stay over other options.
