    The room that was advertised was not what was received. The king suite is what I paid for it was just a regular room no onning with a king bed. The TV was not working. No WiFi and no iron in the room. Then when I went to complain and ask for another room they said they would have to call management. It was only when I mentioned wanting a refund is when they decided to move my room and it was still bad. Only difference was the TV worked. Never again.

    Tv didn’t work and the halls are in desperate need of a carpet cleaning. Coffee machine not working and for the money, the value isn’t worth the price. It’s not being maintained as good as it once was.

    I give this place a 10 out of 10, I would definitely stay here and recommend this place. Location was absolutely perfect you are surrounded by awesome restaurants shopping center wasn’t 5 minutes away. Could easily get back to the interstate, property and staff was amazing. The only not so perfect thing that happened was I couldn’t get an extra towel when I needed it because there wasn’t any had to wait until the next day and still housekeeping hadn’t came to bring any so I bought 1. But I still give it a 10 not a deal breaker for me.

    The room was clean and well priced. I chose the room, however, based on available amenities. The pool was closed. When I asked at the front desk if it was supposed to be closed, she said yes, because the chlorine levels were off. I told her I was disappointed because I chose the room for the pool. She said I should’ve called first to make sure it was open. WHO DOES THAT?! 😂 Otherwise, not a bad experience.

    The location was great! Room was not entirely cleaned, room was humid and never fully adjusted, and the tvs must be super outdated as they are very very grainy. The bathroom had trash in the corner and a towel on the floor behind the door. So I’m not sure if the bathroom was even cleaned.

    Location The fact that the pictures are misleading,,,I had a room with 2 queen beds,,with only fitted sheet and cover sheet one pillow per bed,,dusty,,needed vacuumed...THE MAIN THING IS I PAID FOR BALCONY ROOM BUT WAS TOLD,, NOTHING THEY COULD DO BOOKING .COM IS RESPONSIBLE,,I SAID NO WAY .SO HERE WE HAVE IT ...of the 39 yrs of attending concerts all over the south this room was very nice on the Internet but to the eye,,I was very disappointed,........

    I didn’t have any clean towels in my room and the woman at the front desk who works at night shift drive to charge me for a pet fee even though I’ve been there several times with my pet and was never charged before so that will be my last time staying there

    The website said breakfast and the pool would be open but when we got to the property that’s when we found out there is no breakfast and the pool doesn’t he a permit yet. The carpet in the hallways is very filthy and dirty. The lobby smells really good but the floors smell really bad. I will never go to the hotel again!! The room had hair on the cover and the balcony door was hard to open!

    The location was great for shopping, dining and convince to the race track. The room was dirty. Carpet had a big wet spot. Looked like dried blood on the sofa. Dresser drawer wouldn’t close since it was broken. No hot water for the bathroom sink. When checking in the front desk women was incredibly rude. Also had spoke to her before our arrival because of an issue we were experiencing and she hung up on us. We called back to speak to a manager and were told no one was there on the weekend. Was finally offered a different room, 6 hours later after checkin staff was off.

    The staff was nice mostly except the evening gentleman seemed like he’d rather be somewhere else. They have 2 entrances that don’t work and make it less convenient for handling luggage but they took the time to print signs that show they’ve been there for a while opposed to repairing the doors. The interior hallway floors are filthy I don’t know the last time they were shampooed. Convenient location and housekeeping cleaned the rooms well. The building itself needs some attention especially when they stay booked they should put more care in the building.

    The property itself was fine but you allow dogs and literally have no grass for them to walk. You charged $80 more for a “balcony” room. What a joke. It wasn’t a balcony at all. A fridge in my room- frozen with ice taking all the room and I could get ONE water bottle in it. That’s it. The room has WAY too much furniture- like we got stuff too. Two desks? Then the armoire is blocking half the tv from the bed. The little boy who checked me in was rude. He also charged my room an hour after I booked- choosing the option to pay at property but he ran my card anyway. When I asked him, his response was “well everyone does that esp if it’s busy” so take a deposit then but if I chose pay at property then THATS WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN. Don’t do your customers that way. I took pictures and will writing a full review with the pics on google so ppl know what they are actually paying for and it isn’t good business, good customer service or excellent rooms. None of those things applied here. Will not be staying again.

    The hotel apparently allows dogs in the rooms. One room that we had to walk by couple of times each day had a large dog that was left unattended. The dog barked loudly and for a period of time each time someone passed by the room.

    The overall experience here was ok. The property is not kept up. The rugs were overly soiled and stained. The patio outside looks like it would have been ok but I witnessed the cushions left in the chairs while it was raining. The desk personnel was not welcoming either. I can’t say I would return especially for the price I paid, the property was not worth it.

    My wife and I stay here for the NHRA events. Always very nice staff and rooms. A motorcycle group was also staying and they stayed up late and made a little noise. Not the hotels fault

    Nothing really I paid a lot of money for a dirty ass room I had to clean up myself I didn't have time to go look for another hotel or room was told the only option I had was to get a full refund couldn't switch my room I was told they didn't have availabilities today but online I'm seeing many availabilities she was not helpful naima claimed that she even checked the room so either they're a Gremlins I go in after she checked or her definition of cleaning my definition of clean are two very different things it was the worst experience I've ever had and I stayed the Sonesta hotels is quite often I'm a rewards member and I felt shafted horrible horrible experience

    I loved the location, the room we were in which was a balcony room and the lobby was very very nice and relaxing! I didnt like the hair the was all over the bathroom and the fact that everytime i got in the bed i had to dust my feet off because there was so much debris left on my feet from the staff not vacuuming the floor in the room.

    The hotel was adequate but understaffed and no restaurant/breakfast on site. Upon checking in the fee for a pet was triple the posted rate on Expedia (which was unexpected). Upon arriving to our two room suite, one of the air conditioners was not working - no maintenance on site and no other rooms available. I was told I would be contacted by the manager however no follow up ever occurred. I would recommend looking at other nearby properties before booking this one.

    Not much. Staff was nice. The pool was slimy. The facilities smelled bad. The air conditioner didn't work in our first room. Moved to a new room where it worked but sounded like a jet engine. Also, on the booked site it said you had to pay for WiFi and parking. I did that ahead of time but it's all free.

    The staff that checked me in was very nice. Great location: close to the highway, great dining options, plenty of parking spaces. The hotel looked like it was well maintained. The only comment i had was that the first room we were given smelled like smoke. When I told the lady, she didnt ask any questions, instead, she apologized and got as another room with better view and easy access to stairs and elevator- this was a game changer for us especially because we are traveling and it meant we dont have to walk too far with our luggages! Will consider staying here if/when we are near the area again.

    I wasn’t sure what to expect based on the location and the price. Pleasantly surprised. Nice lobby. Very comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Easy parking. Helpful staff. AC worked but I couldn’t figure out adjusting it as there seemed to be two separate systems for my room. I didn’t get a chance to check out the gym/pool/other amenities.

    Our primary complaint was that, there was a USED/SOILED wash cloth drapped over the shower from the last guest. GROSS!! So housekeeping is a NON FACTOR! We didn’t see the dirty washcloth until it was time to shower the next morning. This made us feel like they probably didn’t change the sheets. I complained to the General Manager, Dennis, who was EXTREMELY DEFENSIVE & RUDE!! He offered a 20% for the dirty wash cloth and said if I didn’t like the hotel, I shouldn’t have stayed there and should have asked for a refund when I arrived!!! How??? It was prepaid!!     The staff was very friendly, property is conveniently located, however the room was not the greatest. The sofa had stains all over it, the room itself seemed dirty. The bed and pillows were VERY comfy and they were clean. We were only staying 1 night and all we really needed was a bed to sleep. So for our purposes it was fine.

    Friendly staff, great location with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The room was perfect, clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed.     This was my second time at this hotel, but I must admit it was not as good as my first time. While it was only okay overall, I noticed that things in general weren't as up-to-snuff as before: the ground floor hallways needed to be swept/vacuumed, the elevator at the front of the building had a broken call button for my floor, so it was unusable to me, and the other elevator at the back was dirty (I noticed it was finally cleaned up by the time I left), and trash was having to be piled up outside the cans in the ice machine station on my floor. My room was alright as far as the basics go, however I did have problems with the wifi and had to call the tech support number to get things fixed, and there were several channels on my room TV that were not functional: either picture without audio, frozen picture and no audio, or very broken up/interrupted picture and audio. Unfortunately, this was all disappointing to me as it was not my experience the first time I stayed there (last year). I'm not sure why things have changed, but I seriously doubt I will return.

    This hotel needs a proper upgrade. It could be a great hotel with the proper upgrade. As soon as you enter it look nice. Getting to the room it wa dreadful walk to your room. I didnt want to touch anything. Clean the hotel from top to bottom new carpet new ceiling tiles so on and so forth could be a jolly good stay. In the meantime i do not recommend. Staff was great though .

    The property does accept pets, they do have a pool but its outdoor seasonal. I never made it to breakfast to see what kind of food options they have but it says take away breakfast but the elevator shows different stuff. One of the elevators does not have a 2nd floor button which was a long walk to our room, i did hear dogs barking in the bathroom but not while in my room.

The shower wasn’t all that good either cause the water was luke warm and I like hot showers. Oh and yall definitely shouldn’t advertise a balcony because I don’t know what that was a brick wall and you barely could turn around out there so that was a bust. But other than that it was a pretty decent room.

    Pros: close to campus, affordable, clean rooms, large dispensers of soap, lotion, etc. (vs. awkward small bottles) Cons: Internet was down for most of my stay and I got no updates on access so missed two deadlines. Coffee urns used to be in lobby but are now behind the reception for a a fee, The site says they now charge for parking, although they didn't (perhaps because occupancy was low). Booths for cafe are really shabby.

    I stayed here for one night in November 2025, and while the front desk staff was genuinely helpful and attentive when I interacted with them directly, the experience was ruined by major communication gaps that caused unnecessary frustration and stress. For instance, I reported a potential safety concern in my room (a noticeable burning smell) late in the evening, and was promised a quick follow-up within 10 minutes—but nothing happened, no call or update overnight. Then, upon briefly stepping out the next morning, I returned to find my room key deactivated and the room reassigned without any prior notification, forcing me to scramble and deal with relocated belongings. These lapses in follow-through and internal coordination turned a simple stay into a chaotic hassle, despite the convenient location. I wouldn't recommend this hotel until they fix these issues to prevent similar problems for others.

I have no idea when they last cleaned the carpets throughout, but they were filthy. In our room we were sold a 2 queen bed room and it was 2 doubles, the carpets were dirty. Basically was handed my key and that was about it. The amount of space was sufficient, but there was nothing welcoming about it. The curtains had a noticable tear. The check out process was a little warmer than check in. I had originally planned a second stay because i was going to be in Charlotte twice in October, but that changed within the first night of staying.

    We paid for breakfast but the hotel staff, at check in, said there was no breakfast offered. We got breakfast in the morning and when checking out were advised their breakfast was a cup of coffee and a few items from a cart. We had already eaten since we were told there was no breakfast. The offering was worth less the $2 anyway, so having paid $17 for 2 of us was extremely overpriced and misleading. I will be requesting a refund of the breakfast cost

    The only good thing I can say about this place was the bed. Other than that, it was not a good place to stay even for a night. We had a cockroach scurry across the desk while eating. The curtains also had this big brown stain on them. The pull out mattress had stains as well. The lady who checked us in was rude too.

    I love the area, it's close to campus but not too close to be crowded. There's excellent shopping and both fast food and restaurants within walking distance or a short 1/4 mile drive. Those are walkable too, but would not suggest crossing the highway in front; the drivers are not attentive and do not break for pedestrians crossing at the lights let alone trying to jaywalk. My only complaint is that the TV was an older model that had poor reception and quality. If you did get a station to come in, it was extremely pixilated. There were only 4 that would come on and only one that stayed on. Was glad I went to the book store before settling for the evening.

    Front desk check in sucked. Worker just had an attitude with checking everybody in. Place is standard, nothing fancy. Clean. Parking was a little hard to get, it was packed. It did its job. Stayed for 1 night, for a jiujitsu competition. Would recommmend, pricing was good.

    The rooms were nice and clean, there were only two bath towels in our room for four guests, not sure why they would only put two bath towels in a room designed for four people. For that price point there should be a free continental breakfast but instead you have to buy anything you want from the continental breakfast. There is a Chick-fil-A right next-door, so that's convenient. Overall a really good hotel and I would stay here again.

    The AC unit was very loud at times, the door fell off the cabinet housing the fridge, there was not a convenient way to the outside courtyard. Overall it was not as well kept as the other Sonesta we have visited. The hotel could use some work but overall it was ok.

    I arrived at 10:30 Friday night. Don’t know why the terminal wouldn’t take my card so I was forced to use my Cash App card (definitely don’t know when I’m getting my 100.00 incidentals back) the elevator is definitely unsafe! it closed on my 70 year old grandma’s arm 2x and it almost closed on my 7 year old daughter. Definitely would have taken her hand off had I not pulled her out of the way. There was a ring around the tub when we got into our room and no one had used the shower yet let alone taken a bath. Also there was a toothbrush and tooth paste that didn’t belong to us in the room which let me know the room wasn’t cleaned at all. I couldn’t ask for another because it was late and the very next day the hotel was sold out. They didn’t accept any cash onsite so I couldn’t buy water unless I had my card. I wanted to bring these concerns to someone’s attention but there was always a line and I was there for a church event so I was pressed for time. Tried to tell the young lady at the desk about it at checkout and she basically waived me off. Honestly I need a refund

    The hotel is aging poorly. You can tell they have renovated it but it is still in rough shape in certain places. Seems maintenance may be lacking a bit. The place is fine, but the advertising has to be false. I paid for a King bed in a room with a pullout couch. I was given a handicap room with a bathroom that needs upgrading badly and 2 full size beds barely big enough for me to fit on. They were quite firm. The advertising shows sizeable rooms with a quiet area around it and a nice courtyard with pool. It is not close to that and apparently the rooms are all the same size. Needless to say not getting what I paid for and the misleading stuff turned me off. But otherwise it’s a good place for a 1 night stay

    The balcony was subpar. The curtains were stained from water damage( I hope) the couch was stained. The office chair had a burn in the cushion. In addition to that when we called to ask when was breakfast was served; we were advised from 7am-10am. However, when we came down to ask where was the breakfast the desk attendant said they don’t serve breakfast at the “Select “ locations. My asked are you sure to the attendant and she said there is a group that made reservations for breakfast. The website stated there is a continental breakfast with no mention of for a select group. It was also plastered in the elevator that breakfast was available. I have no desire to state at your location again. There was no ice machine on my floor. Please see all pictures included.

DURING THE BRIEF RUDE DISRESPECTFUL CONVERSATION IT WAS SAID THAT I SHOULD KNOW WHAT THE CHECK IN TIMES AS STATED IN YOUR BOOKING. WELL I DID READ THAT AND I DID KNOW WHAT TIME CHECK IN TIME IS BUT MANY PLACES ALLOW YOU TO CHECK IN EARLY OR PAY A FEE TO DO SO. WELL I DIDN’T HAVE ANYWHERE TO JUST GO HANGOUT FOR 3 HOURS BEING MY CHILDREN AND I TRAVELED FOR OVER 3 HOURS TO GO TO A SHOW THAT EARLY PARKING STARTED BEFORE THEIR CHECK IN TIME. I ASKED IF THE AMENITIES SUCH AS THE POOL COULD BE UTILIZED LIKE MANY PLACES AND THE RESPONSE WAS NO YOU CAN USE THEM AFTER CHECK IN. DUE TO LIMITED SPACE FOR THIS REVIEW THIS IS JUST PART OF IT AND THE REST WILL BE SENT TO THE BBB CORPORATE AND ANYWHERE ELSE AVAILABLE TO FILE A COMPLAINT. I DID NOT RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND STAYED AT ANOTHER LOCATION. THEY ARE REFUSING TO REFUND MY MONEY DUE TO THEIR GROSS NEGLIGENCE AND DISRESPECT WHICH IS AS EXPECTED.     The hotel was nice enough, but the area was kind of loud. Also, felt a little nickeled and dimed. Parking was $5, which isn’t a big deal, but it would have been nice to be included. Breakfast was kind of sad - just a cart with some pastries wrapped in plastic for $4 apiece. And they didn’t have complimentary coffee.

    My stay was overall pleasant, and the accommodations were generally comfortable. However, I had to give a lower rating because the sofabed had visible dark stains when we pulled it out. As a result, my nephew opted to sleep on the sofa instead. Unfortunately, the next morning, we discovered ants crawling on his electronics, which was concerning. I hope management addresses this issue for future guests.

    I had an excellent visit! Such a nice and clean hotel with a beautiful view of the pool and city. The only qualm that our family had was that the pool could be kept open a bit longer than 8pm. Besides this, the gym was the best part; very clean with nice equipment and air conditioning!

    I had never heard of nor stayed in a Sonesta. Other hotels in the area were very expensive so I took a chance on Sonesta. It exceeded my expectations. While not luxurious, it is very nice, clean, well run and good value for the cost. I will look to use the brand again in the future.

    BEWARE DO NOT STAY HERE. First room provided was in shambles. Not suitable to be used. Women working at check in was very unpleasant and told me to come back in 20 min. By the time I got back (20 min later) she was no longer working. So a gentlemen checked me in. He was average.
