Quality Inn Charlotte Airport

Didn’t like this property - the room wasn’t bad but the corridors, stairs and elevator cab weren’t clean. I travelled alone and didn’t like that the room opened off the external corridor. I did appreciate the breakfast and airport shuttle however.

The pictures on their site looks really good, but when you get there, it’s totally not what you seen in the pics. The guy that checked me in was rude. The shuttle driver drove like a crazy man. My room was very dated and unkept. I took numerous photos of my room and the shape it was in. I will “NEVER” stay at a Quality Inn again. I don’t stay in hotels much at all as I normally pull my RV, but this was a quick trip and time was of the essence.

The hotel is in terrible shape. The room was clean though. I heard shots being fired at night.

Three mornings in a row, i would take a rolling cart to the breakfast area to get breakfast for me, my brother and mother and take it back to our hotel room, without any problems. My mom can barely walk and my brother can't move around too much because of his surgery. On the forth morning of going to get breakfast for me and my family, the woman responsible for putting out the food told me that I needed to eat the food in the foodcourt. I told her about my situation. She proceeded to go the the front desk to complain about me leaving with the food for my hotel room. I young caucasian woman with colorful hair and poorly dressed for work came running behind me saying, I could not leave with the food. I explained my situation to her. She stood at the front entrance to see where my hotel room was which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. On the last morning here, I got breakfast. The same woman in charge of setting up the food dropped a milk cap and proceeded to put the cap on the milk carton without washing it. I told her she should have washed the cap, but she seemed to not care. Furthermore. I do not recommend this hotel because my family and I heard gun shots 2 nights during our say.

Clean room

Didn't like their dine inn service. Got charged on my credit card but never received the food. The money I paid still has not been returned to me. I was hungry waited over 2 hours and no food and never even got a courtesy call.

It was 5 stars for the price. We didn't have time to use the pool, but I wasn't expecting one, so that was a bonus. TV was fine, but very small. A detail that is really irrelevant. King size pillows would be a plus for a king size bed, but we were fine with what was supplied. I'm sure if we asked we could've gotten more pillows. Extra towels were easily given. Very quiet, the area looked like it could get loud, but it never did. We would stay here again.

I gave it a one star rating only because whenever I checked in I got the key to a room someone was already in. It was 2 am and as a girl traveling alone, this was a very scary experience for me. I also want to follow that bad experience with a good experience, as the staff at the hotel were quick to refund me and go check the room they gave me, as they did not know there was someone already checked in there. I think it was a miscommunication problem between shift change - still shouldn't have happened; however, the staff were very kind when I said I wanted to leave. It could have gone a lot different, and thankfully I left okay. Had something bad happened since I basically broke into someone's hotel room, it would be a different story. I think it was an eye opener to the hotel to double check before booking rooms and an eye opener for me to not go into a room if it has a "do not disturb" sign on it - even though I thought maybe it was just left by the cleaners by mistake. I in fact disturbed another guest (thankfully he slept right through it). Would not stay again, but am, again, thankful for the staff's proactive resolution.

The rooms were clean but the hotel did not look nothing like the picture.The breakfast poor sele tion, staff he was not friendly,I stayed on the 1st floor o ky got about 2 hours of sleep. The person over was yelling g and stuff hitting the floor all night, the person next door to our room sat in the car blasting music late at night and early that morning. Did not like the location either. Will never stay there again!

We got an “accessible room,” but it was so cramped and very little room to get around the bed and other furniture. The floor is some kind of wood laminate so I’m guessing it’s not wet-mopped very often bc after walking around in my socks, the bottoms of them got really dirty. The breakfast was decent for being advertised as continental, and the breakfast attendants did a great job keeping everything clean and well-stocked with things like hard boiled eggs, yogurt, in addition to a waffle station, cereal, bakery items, fruit, instant oats, etc. The neighborhood felt unsafe though. No places nearby to eat when we got there late in the evening. Only a Waffle House that closed its dining room so you had to order at a window. Another customer told us to be careful because the neighborhood was not good. The next morning a man was loitering around the parking lot near our room and approached us. I probably would not stay there again in the future.

The property was exceptional and attractive. The staff aimed to please. The walls sounded so thin that when I was in the shower, I should hear the folks outside laughing.

Super sketchy area, did not realize this. We shuttled with flight attendants to the hotel at 9 pm, and they told us to go to our rooms and lock the doors and not leave til morning.

Had a great sleep! Appreciate the elevator and all was clean!

We liked that the room was clean and cooled off quickly we like that they were open when we were unable to get a connecting flight. We liked that it was a value and not like $250. We like the fact that the shuttle took us to our airport and everything was on time. What we didn't like was there was no wine for the beloved wife. We would have liked different food choices but we understand that under the circumstances and it being 11:00 there really wasn't much choice.

Upon arrival the front desk was helpful and informative. The lobby had many quick foods, drinks and amenities for sell. The room was extremely clean and had all types of amenities. Enjoyed the stay and would stay again.

Nice place to stay for a layover. Clean, comfortable bed, free shuttle on time. Very near to the airport. Left too early to try breakfast but i got coffee and juice.

The rooms were clean but there use pine soil to clean with so the room had that smell in the room. The outside can use a facelift, we checked out very early to catch our flight so did have the pleasure of having breakfast with them.

When checking in, I was given the wrong room number and tried to open the door of an occupied room. Once getting accurate room, our door handle fell off. Toilet seat screw fell out.

When I first got to the hotel I was told I couldn’t have my room even though I had already paid for it! I couldn’t understand the man at the front desk which was very frustrating. It was 1 am and he thought I was local so he wouldn’t left me have my room. After showing him my id and my friend talking to him 20 minutes later he let us check in after realizing we were not locals! The rooms were clean but basic the back side of the building is very noisy because of a warehouse beside it. The location was good the pool was getting maintenance done so it was closed. They did over a decent breakfast.

What I didn’t like: • Some parts of the property felt slightly outdated and could use renovation. • Noise insulation could be improved, especially near hallways and outside traffic. • Breakfast options were basic and limited during busy hours. • Wi-Fi speed was average and occasionally unstable.

Perfect location near the airport, restaurants, and gas station to refuel the rental car before returning to the airport.

I woke up to a dead cockroach next to the AC Unit. It wasn't there when we arrived.

Sketchy and weird overall, strong perfumed disinfectant smell everywhere which just made the musty moldy room smell strange. Stark white walls with weird blue tinted led lights which made the ambiance creepy. Very limited cable channels, extremely minimal and cheap breakfast options, we left as soon as we could.

The staff on the day of arriving were extremely rude and not to mention there were things in the room that didn’t work and when I’d call or my find would call front desk they would blow us off. It sucked and made us feel a little unwelcomed. I know I wouldn’t come back after this.

The online pictures don’t show this but this place is actually a motel and not a hotel. Each room has its own door to the outside. You can hear people talking outside when inside the room, walls are very thin. Rooms have had some updates with new flooring but are old and small. Bedding and towels seemed clean.

The room was severely outdated. The tub had mold around the edge. The door coming in wasn’t sealed and you could see light all around.

Traveled for a concert location was good. Hotel is definitely older and needs some updates, staff was friendly we didn't eat breakfast. Like that cracker barrel is in same parking area so easy walk. Room was clean noise level you could hear everything. Beds to me were hard so I didn't sleep well. Over all if I had to it ok for a 1 night stay but id rather go somewhere else.

Four purpose the room was fine, we only stayed a night, the beds were okay, room was clean but could use updates. I did however find hair on the bathroom wall.

This was a last minute booking due to a flight delay. Check in was easy, however, when i got to my room and we used the toilet it would not flush. No help from front desk staff and i was told no plunger available. I had my 82 yo mother with me and we used the bathroom but put the paper in the trash as it would not flush properly. Linens felt old and unwashed. Neighborhood is best suited to city smart people not old folks. I informed the morning front desk person and they asked if i was given the plunger, to which i responded i had not. The shutttle is a good attribute but had a musty smell and a broken seat belt.

I stayed at this property for one night due to its convenient proximity to the airport, as well as the availability of a complimentary airport shuttle, which made it an ideal choice for my early morning flight. My check-in at 9:00 p.m. was smooth, and I checked out at 5:45 a.m. The room itself was clean and well-appointed. I particularly appreciated the inclusion of a refrigerator and microwave, which added convenience. The lighting in the room was excellent, and the abundance of electrical outlets was a thoughtful touch. The air conditioning worked efficiently and maintained a comfortable temperature throughout the night. The bed was neatly prepared, with plush pillows that contributed to a restful stay. Additionally, the television offered a good selection of channels, including enjoyable programming. However, there were a few areas that require attention. The exterior areas, particularly around the elevators, were noticeably unclean, with visible cobwebs and spiders, which detracted from the overall impression of the property. The luggage cart was also in poor condition and difficult to maneuver, to the point where I opted not to use it. I also noted an unexpected $50 charge on my card, which I assume is a hold for incidentals. This was not communicated during check-in, especially considering my late arrival and early departure. Greater transparency regarding such charges, along with information on when the funds will be released,

After a very long travel day and having our flight canceled and having to spend the night in Charlotte with two small kids, we arrived at the property and Seun at the front desk was rude/had an attitude when we spoke with him. He had an attitude the entire time, and he was not kind. I was having an issue with my card and he was very dismissive and rude again. When we came down in the morning for the shuttle at 5 AM with two little kids, he was sleeping in the back office with an airport pillow around his neck snoring. I asked him a question about the shuttle. He again was rude and very unprofessional. The room was okay, but I would not stay at this property again or recommend to anyone.

It should be noted that this is a Motel not a hotel, all doors on the outside of the property. Room was clean and served its purpose but I would not return.

The stairs and railings are literally falling apart. So safety is not a top concern here.

Breakfast was less than I expected, but adequate. Wi-Fi kept dropping out on both me and my wife (3 diff devices). Room clean and in good condition. Great value.

The hotels are look more like a motel. the bed was so old style like third country style bed, piece of wood and a mattress that was so hard. sink did not drain water well. my room was right in front of the stair to second floor and lots of noise when people going up and down. the room looks not like the picture that was on the website.

The property was not clean. They were people hanging out on the balcony talking loud and smoking. Someone was working on his car right in the parking lot. Wasp were flying around all over. One almost bit me going inside the room. I had to check out. I did not feel safe and the room was unsanitary. The front desk guy was being very rude to me when I explained why I didn’t want to stay. The maintenance guy was the only person that was understanding and considerate to me. There pictures are not what the place is about.

They tell me the airport shuttle would be there 20 minutes after I texted them and it took almost an hour for it to arrive. The gentleman at the front desk seemed more interested in getting back to his TV show then getting me checked in the room, I was in bad need of some renovating you could hear all the noise from the outside because there was a large gap under the door and the flooring had places where you walked that would sink down when you stepped on them. It was overall just pretty unpleasant.

The remodel is obvious as floor tiles are uneven and broken, wall repairs are visible, door has daylight holes at bottom. Flashing along the wall meets the floor needs attention and caulking around the tub also. Room service not being provided after staff unlocked the door just after my shower and NEVER Returned 👍 Refund is requested

Room was clean and comfortable and sufficiently well appointed and spacious. I did however reduce the score because the breakfast was poor. No fresh scrambled eggs, just hard boiled, no bacon, just overall not on par for the typical mid-priced hotel "breakfast included".

The staff was courteous at check in and check out, we used the airport shuttle service upon arrival and departure both drivers were very friendly and professional. The room wasn't super clean, I found trash on the floor but the sheets seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. For the price and a place to nap for a few hours between flights it was what we need.

Shuttle driver is a very nice guy and the queen bed was soft. Floors were extremely dirty though and seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time.

Fairly clean, you get what you pay for. Reception desk guy was nice. My issue was that when I pulled the covers back the bed sheets were so wrinkled it looked like someone slept in the bed before me. That was gross and on the bed frame there was a candy wrapper sitting on it. If it was cleaned that wrapped wouldn’t be there.

Did not clear ice in front of entrance that resulted in a bad fall. Follow through that was promised never occurred.

Horrible food, scary place

We had an overnight layover and picked this hotel to stay for the night. The staff was great, we called when we got our luggage and they sent a shuttle to pick us up. Check in was smooth and quick. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean but definitely could use an update. We were able to schedule another shuttle to take us back to the airport in the morning. It was on time and got us there safely. Highly recommend this place for an overnight stay.

The floor beneath the beds is dirty, making it unsuitable to walk barefoot. The outdoor walkway is dark, and the room lights are very dim. The photo does not accurately represent the space and lighting.

Check in took an hour, and once we were given a room, it was a smoking room. It was awful. We had been traveling for 36 hours and it was convenient and the shuttle service and drivers were great. But the check in process after midnight when you’re exhausted was awful, and being given a smoking room was just icing on the cake of a crappy travel weekend.

The shuttle from the airport was good. When I arrived at the hotel about midnight, there were 12 people in line. The desk clerk was by himself and overwhelmed. He was trying to fix complicated problems without just checking in the people with easy reservations. He told us he was oversold and didn’t know if we would get rooms, despite having reservations. He took everyone’s ID’s and tried to match them to reservations. It was very disorganized. When I got to the front of the line and made (admittedly) a rather pointed remark about how it should not take an hour to check in, he tried to throw me out. I apologized and he lectured me for 10 minutes about being rude without making my key. When he eventually did, the room had been slept in and not cleaned. I was not in my final room until about 1:20 in the morning. This was on floor 2 of 3. There are no elevators, so you have a good chance of having to haul your bags up the stairs. The final room was clean, but run down. The curtains do not adequately block the light from the exterior hallway out front. This was one of the worst hotels experiences I have ever had, and I stay in hotels 10 nights a month for work.

A place that needs to be avoided at any cost. The room smells extremely bad and suffocating. The odor alone makes it unbearable to stay. Absolutely not recommended.

The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Bathroom a little squeezed but ok for one. Shuttle service worked fine both pick up and drop off. I think a messaging option would be helpful, WhatsApp preferably as it was hard to hear the phone in a bustling airport. Breakfast fare was a little disappointing. Overall 4 out of 5 or 9 out of 10 and good value.

Great value for price! Compact and clean room and bath. Quiet. Good heat/cooling. Simple, predictable breakfast options: emphasis on carbs, including make-your-own waffles, but did also include yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Close to lots of restaurants and I-85 ramps.

Our flight was changed and the owner of the Quality Inn was able to adjust of stay over the phone. This family owned business is friendly, efficient and the rooms are clean. Shuttle service to and from the airport was excellent. I would stay there again.

Friendly staff but really sketchy area of homeless and panhandlers around the venue. No security guard or cameras visible. But, it was cheap and allowed me to make 5's of dollars doing standup comedy in the area.

This is my third time in this hotel, simply I love it. I will stay there for my next visit. Great location, about 10 minutes or less from airport. Safe place and clean rooms, comfy pillows and mattress. Friendly personnel. As a plus, they offer shuttle service.

It is a motel not a hotel so have the appropriate expectation. With that said, it was dated but they provided all the necessities. I didn't eat there because they have a Cracker Barrel right next door. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The bed was comfortable. The shower pressure was decent. Towels were soft. Shuttle service to the airport. I recommend this for an inexpensive stay.

Overall, this is a good choice to stay. The hotel is old, but kept clean and I felt safe. It’s minutes from the airport, offers a shuttle and includes breakfast and all for a very reasonable price. If you need a spot to stay near the airport, this one is a good choice.

This is a good choice in that price range. Convenient to airport. It had a family run feel and everyone was helping out. Breakfast was decent and free. It was clean. Hotel overall is typical of a 70s-80s build with some wear and tear but not too bad. Swimming pool looked decent.

Vibe of location and room is off. There was some kind of construction going on AFTER MIDNIGHT and again at 5am, with loud incessant truck beeping noise.
