Hyatt Place Charlotte Airport/Lake Pointe

Everything was great from the staff to the breakfast location and amenities! The cleaning was good. I have no complaints there. I will be back!

Wonderful!!

Not having access to the pools really decreased the value of the experience; especially since I used Expedia and booked based on the inclusion of a swimming pool in the amenities.

The staff are excellent and the facilities are great. This Hyatt is perfectly located near the airport and has access to a lot of dining without having to go into uptown. Great place to stay.

The parking lot is littered with ahhh…litter! Ive already written my review about our check in experience so I don’t think I have to reiterate that debacle. The room itself was very clean, thank you housekeeping! The bed was nice, the shower pressure was good. The breakfast was lame but the eating areas were well maintained by personnel. We used to stay at this location on a regular basis when we were working….semi retired now & went back to this place because of past good experience…..needs attention to parking lot cleanliness & safety …AND…..get your shuttle worked out!

Great location, not to far from the airport. Room was spacious. Staff were super nice and even got my room ready a few hours early. Would definitely stay again. There was nothing I didn’t like or that I could complain about.

The room was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was better than most hotels. The rooms don't have microwaves. There are shared microwaves by the Ice machine on each floor which I thought was odd. But not not a big deal.

There was no counterspace in the bath, no place to put toiletries. The hairdryer was in the drawer outside the bath. The stopper in the sink did not work. I wear contacts, a safety feature needed to keep contacts from washing down the drain. Breakfast was ok. The pancakes were dry and hard on the warming pan.

The staff here were wonderful, from Greg the shuttle driver to the front desk ladies. Greg was so nice and dropped us off at a diner as we were starving and couldn't check in yet. The hotel held our bags so we could so do a bit of sightseeing before check in. They seemed to remember who we were when we came back which was a nice touch. Breakfast was great, variety of options. Bed was comfortable, room was very nice for the stay. The hotel was very clean.

I liked that the staff was friendly. The hotel was nice. What I didn’t like was that the hotel charged me extra when I didn’t authorize the payment. I was told to pay $50 for incidentals. Which is fine.. I travel enough to know that was part of it. However, when I looked into my bank account, I was charged an additional $185 after I clicked on pay in full now from booking.com. When I called the hotel and told them that I had already paid for the hotel prior to arrival, they said that sometimes there is a “glitch” either with my card or booking.com/third parties. It was a major disappointment because I have used booking.com over and over and never had a problem until this hotel. They said that I will get my money back. We will see. I am not happy.

Location from Amtrak station Staff charged me $540 when my reservation was already paid for. Bartender didn’t know how to make drinks. Price point for a splash of drink is crazy. Room was nasty. Hair in the sink and shower. Would never stay here again.

Friendliness of the staff was Exceptional. I would have appreciated an understanding beforehand that we will be charged to park in the parking area where we are staying. Also i was given a room on the floor with no microwave and all other floors had one( i was told by staff) which was inconvenient

Nice place, staff pleasant, however there was a power outage and they had no back up generator! How could a popular establishment not invest in a generator for potential circumstances as this? The power was out from 6:30 pm to 12:15 am.

Two issues, air conditioning was making some serious noise that kept the family up. Second was no creamer for coffee. Seriously, what kind of hotel doesn’t have creamer?

Then I was told that the airport shuttle would not be available during - 2hr gap the next morning because they were “training.” The shuttle as the reason I had booked the hotel! beautiful hotel, everything was clean and transparent. cleaning crew was very sweet . upon initial check in the lady at the front wasn’t welcoming but everyone else was very helpful. $10 per day parking. highly recommended if you are looking for a hotel close to uptown!

Our flight was cancelled, and we were stuck in Charlotte. Hyatt Place looked like a nice place. Employee on duty was truly magnificant! She went above and beyond for our brief stay. We will stay there again!!

This hotel cannot deliver the expectations of a Hyatt product and should wear a different flag - especially when charging a Hyatt rate. The "motion detector light in the bathroom is ridiculous and untenable. The light turns on randomly and is crazy bright. The staff are not Hyatt quality - no greeting guests, no knowledge about the property. I went down for breakfast at 6:05am and an airline crew was waiting outside the closed door. i asked about breakfast the the front desk person said, "yeah they didn't show up today"..and went on to say, "you're lucky they came in at all". Having spent 7 years working for Hyatt, I can assure you this is not the product. Don't pay the Hyatt rate for this imitation.

We were refused our room. Even though we have stayed at this property twice previously with our cat, they refused to let us check in as they said they had newly renovated & no longer would allow a cat. The property is listed as pet friendly but will only allow dogs as they say cats are more destructive than dogs. Three employees including the general manager were very uncooperative & verged on rude. They said we had to deal with Expedia for our refund & did not even offer to help us find alternative accommodation. We drove an hour out of our way to escape the gridlock in Charlotte to find a hotel that was willing to accept a cat. We are extremely annoyed & will be taking this issue up with the Hyatt management as well as Hotels.com for false advertising.

The shuttle is a great option and it’s close to a bus station.

My flight was delayed and I booked a room on expedia. I took a tax to the hotel and and was told that they had no vacancy and had been sold out since the AM. I don’t know if the issue is with Expedia or the hotel, but there needs to be coordination. I was understand my flustered and called the Wyndham line, which put me into a national call center. The person on the line started going into how I should sign up now for Wyndham rewards so I could save. I repeatedly said I just needed a room somewhere and they kept circling back to their talking points. As of today, I still have a pending charge on my card. Bad situation and added to my stress.

It was a nice place to stay for the 1 night we were traveling through to catch a concert in Charlotte. It was small 2 double room. I’ve stayed at the Hyatt Place in other cities with larger rooms and bathrooms. Staff was incredibly nice friendly and helpful. We would stay again

I was a bit concerned about how we’d be treated as a diverse family of 6, but no one mistreated us. We were met with the same kindness and friendliness as every other guest. The room was clean and as described and the hotel was bright and inviting. We enjoyed our stay
