Hyatt House Charlotte/Rea Farms

We needed a later checkout due to a tournament our son was playing in, and they didn’t even blink in allowing us to check out at 2:00 with no charge. I’d we ever come back to Charlotte, we would certainly stay here again!

Great location! The hotel is conveniently situated near several restaurants and grocery stores, including Harris Teeter and Whole Foods, making it easy to grab meals or essentials during your stay. There are also plenty of shopping options within a couple of miles. The area feels modern, well-maintained, and provides easy access to everything you might need.

The Expedia app showed 3 rooms available, so I booked my stay. Upon my arrival, I was told by the condescending woman at the front desk there were no rooms available. She told me that I should have called first because the app is never accurate. I told her that I've alway vooked through Expedia. She says "I don't know what else to tell you", in the most condescending, rude tone ever. I'm a rewards member of this hotel chain, and this is actually my first poor experience from them. I'm never booking at this particular location ever again.

This hotel is our go to in Charlotte. The staff is usually VERY helpful. It’s just hard to find them at the front desk. They may be overworked in different other capacities. This trip our microwave did not work. They sent maintenance right away and offered to move us to another room, but it’s too hard for my husband so we stayed in the same room.

We had a good stay. A simple one overnight, but it was perfect for our needs.

Awesome room will definitely stay again. Staff were very friendly although there were times when no one was at the desk for assistance

After dealing with a bit of hotel drama at other places The nice young lady at the front desk went above and beyond to help me secure a room. It was unbelievable how easy she made it and also did it with a smile on her face. I don’t care where I’m working in Charlotte… this is now my place to stay. The hotel is very nice and is in a nice location 10/10.

We only spent one Saturday night, but they seem short staffed. The trashcan in our room was full and had not been taken out as part of Housecleaning Service. The breakfast was OK, but there only seemed to be one lady working and they were out of reg. coffee and no one was wiping tables off after people left. There was no one at the front desk either to ask for more coffee or replenishment of the food. We do not prefer a squishy soft mattress, so “pillow top” won’t be our choice again. Location was very nice though, and it was a quiet hotel not on a busy highway.

We chose this property because it is pet friendly. I really liked the way the rooms were set-up with a kitchenette. The little fridge was great with a small freezer that kept our ice packs frozen. There is a grocery store and other shops across the street. We did not eat the breakfast since we brought our own food.

We loved most everything about the property. Suites are well priced, spacious, well appointed and overall comfortable. Breakfast was clean and good. Parking is so compact and full. My car got dinged.

From the check in to the check out it was smooth and the property is clean and there is so much to do in the area . We took a few nice strolls .

Overall the hotel was amazing. The receptionist Sydney was EXTREMELY helpful with helping us find things to do in the area. She also went above and beyond with making sure our needs were met. We only had to ask her 1x to have our room serviced and it was done QUICKLY. SYDNEY IS AN ASSET TO THE ESTABLISHMENT.

Room was a very large king bed suite with kitchen and couch. Very good space! Cleaning was not up to par. Shower floor was filthy with black dirt stains and mold. Housekeeping was to be daily but cleaned once.

There was hair on the pillow and sheets from the fold out bed and a gross stain ones the couch pillows. The white blind was completely gone from the living room window so light was coming in all night through the black curtain. There was definitely no attention to detail in cleaning the room. The breakfast was alright. The oatmeal which was full to the brim was just watery soup. Obviously we weren’t the only ones that didn’t want it. The front desk girl didn’t apologize when we took the dirty stuff down and told her the curtain was broken she just said ok

It was a great weekend. The hotel was clean. The coffee area was nice, I did have to request coffee to be made but it was around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. They made some right away. The room was clean and spacious.

Front desk staff was amazing! She assisted me in solving a tech problem and did it all with a smile! My room was large, very clean and comfortable. I stayed for 3 nights and had a nice relaxing stay.

Very new, roomy, and clean, with a super convenient location. Our room was on the parking lot side and very quiet. Kitchenette would work well for an extended stay. All for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

The staff were really helpful. We didn’t like the side of the building our room was on, they were able to quickly accommodate us. The rooms were clean. The shower doors were a little tricky(wouldn’t stay closed). The bar was great. Would stay here again.

Hyatt Place at Rea Farm was excellent. I do wish the pool wasn't seasonal but otherwise it was excellent. The area is super family and dog friendly as well. I think for the return on investment it's one of the better stays I've had recently. Highly recommended!

Parking lot was full every night. Many oversized vehicles parked in compact spaces and truck/trailers taking up multiple spaces so I had to park down the road on the street. This felt very unsafe and I would not recommend it to solo female travelers.

Wonderful property. Had connecting rooms that fulfilled all our needs. The kitchenette couldn’t have been better supplied or in better condition. Great dishes, pans, cutlery, cooktop. All perfect for a week stay. And very clean. Even the mini fridge had enough of a freezer to be helpful. The rest of the rooms were well laid out, super clean and welcoming. The large tv screen on a swivel was a brilliant idea. The bathroom was large, bright and also super clean. I appreciated the extra dressing room area and closet. I do wish there’d been a way to keep the bathroom light on - there’s an unusual setup of master power switches in the rooms that only afford certain configurations of the lights. The rooms were also well soundproofed! The staff, particularly Marina, was very helpful. The lobby, which had a large selection of sundries for purchase, was large and attractive, with a bar offering light food in the evening. The parking lot was well lit and easily accessed. The overall location adjacent to a neighborhood was very nice as there was a large green space to roam and enjoy. There are also many very good restaurants nearby, as well as larger markets and other conveniences. We would absolutely stay her again!

This place needs oversight. In Fitness Room, all three treadmills out of order and they were not working on previous stay three months prior! Ridiculous. Ice machine on my floor produces no ice. A lot is ignored here.

We stayed here for an event at the BoA stadium & we didn’t want to stay in the midst of everything. The location of this hotel was perfect for us. It’s in a great area, where stores & restaurants are just a short drive or walk. The hotel was clean & the staff was friendly. We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Charlotte!

I had a HORRIBLE experience last night and it caused me to be so late to work this morning. There was a dog barking non stop for like about 2+ hours around 9:30ish at night. I called the front desk about it and they said they would try to reach out to the guest. I tried to go back to sleep but the dog was still barking. About maybe 45 minutes went by and I just could not rest with the dog barking, so I called the front desk and all they said was that they tried calling the guest and no one answered. It wasn't until I contacted Hotels.com customer service via chat when they were able to help because they called the front desk again; Shortly after that - I could hear when someone entered the room and the dog finally stopped barking.

We booked a very comfortable and spacious room with a small kitchen. Perfect for a family. We enjoyed outdoor pool too

This location was nice. The room was pretty and comfortable. The hallways were not air conditioned. A complaint is that when I got to the breakfast at 9:30 am there was nothing left. Nothing. No juice, muffins, nothing. As I went to go to my room it looked like someone was bringing out some food but I didnt have time to wait.

Well, I see that she did in the evening that I arrived. The event fell right in the place in Douge place to rest my head for the unit and I stayed for an extended time convenience hospitality let alonereat place great resort has to be fantastic. Company to work for you. was very helpful along with the other, and I would recommend to anyone trying to stay in the valentine area or Ray Farms to do recommend them to use your reserve as a hotel of Choice.

The property was Clean and well maintained. I showed up with out a reservation and they had a room. They do have level 2 EV charging and they do not charge for it. I plugged in at 14% and was at 99% by 9am. They have a solid breakfast. They even have a Bar.

The property was nice. We had an issue with the window shade. It would not close. When I called the front desk at 7pm I was told that the maintenance employee had gone home. Also, if you stay in a room with an odd number you will have road noise.

I live just about 3 miles away. I had to stay in the hotel because we lost power during a storm and I was having trouble sleeping in our home due to the anxiety I was feeling, along with a case of stifling claustrophobia. I checked in after midnight, Saturday morning and planned to be there for just overnight - a few hours, really - and was still charged full rate for the room. This was exploitive of my situation and was made worse because I was told I could stay over Saturday and check out Sunda morning at the time of check-in but, when I was in the lobby/gym later that morning, I was told I had to check out by 11:00 on Saturday. It was kind of a bait and switch. All made worse because I learned our power came on right about the same time I was paying $140.00 for what ended up being just a few hours time. I could have stayed in the lobby for 20 or 30 minutes and received the text letting me know our power was back on!

Everything was wonderful about this stay. Breakfast was delicious and the facility clean and super comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and professional.

The staff wasn’t the friendliest. My room was not cleaned, sink had coffee stains, toilet seat was dirty, there was trash behind the bed & the towels were dirty as well. Also the parking is extremely limited & the spaces are too close together. Lastly for a pet friendly hotel you’d think you would be able to enter the hotel from the sides with your key, that’s not the case.

Well to start off they say first impression is usually the lasting one and in this case it was definitely not a good one. After driving for hours I checked into this hotel late at around 12am if I am not mistaken and my check-in left a bad taste in my mouth to say the least. I was greeted by the loud profanity laced content that the she was listening to which I am glad my young daughters were not with me at the time. Furthermore, I was willing to overlook all the face piercings that she had which I am not used to seeing when I check in to this type of hotel. Also, the way she was dressed looked like she had just came off of the street and I believe her name was Carmelo or Carmela if I am pronouncing it correctly. Had she not have been behind the desk I would have never believed she worked there. My experience every other time a Hyatt was always welcoming and pleasant but this wasn’t one of those times. This was not a front desk person that carried herself professionally. Now, I am never the one to judge anyone but this is not what I expected so hopefully management will speak to this young lady so this doesn’t happen again. Other than that the day shift person was very appropriately dressed and looked very professional the next morning and I believe her name was Carmen hopefully I said it right. Also, the hotel was nice and the rest of my experience was great!

We love staying at Hyatt House Rea Farms. The staff is great, very clean hotel, wonderful breakfast and convenient location. The rooms are large and well equipped.

The facility needs evening trash collection.All the receptacles were overflowing with trash. Causing a unsightly condition. Not a good look.

The hotel is in a great area in which we felt perfectly safe walking around my dog late at night. The entire area is very well lit and the property backs up to a large apartment complex so there are usually lots of people around. We really enjoyed walking around the shops and restaurants and large park next to the hotel. we met a lot of people who are all super friendly. There are lots of cleanup stations for dogs, too. The breakfast options were somewhat limited for vegetarians. They changed every day, but we appreciated having fresh fruit, yogurt, and especially the spicy potatoes, those were really delicious! It was also great having coffee and hot water for tea available 24/7. The only real issues we had with our room once we switched was the shower taking about 10 minutes to get fully hot the first time we used it - it must’ve been a room that doesn’t get used frequently - and the floor being dirty. We found a lot of hair and contact lenses on the living room floor. I’m really glad we found the contacts before my dog ate them. Otherwise, the rooms were spacious, and generally very quiet, we didn’t hear a lot of noise from the hallways or adjacent rooms. The beds were super comfy. Thanks to the staff for taking care of us when problems arose!

The night receptionist was incredibly rude. I locked myself out of my room and when I approached her sitting there playing on her phone to ask for a key she rolled her eyes and reluctantly stood up. I thanked her and she just stared at me. I have never encountered such rudeness in my life.

The hotel is in great condition and I appreciate the breakfast options - cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, and hot items like eggs, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, etc. We stayed for a week as a family with a puppy and we enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff sometimes were not very welcoming and housekeeping did not do a very thorough job. We found trash behind a nightstand. The hotel is in walkable distance to many restaurants and is in a safe neighborhood.

Overall this hotel was superior. Locate near eatery grocery stores and and other stores which are walkable

Property was clean, staff was

The shower door in our room number 321 would not close. Water poured out onto the main floor in the bathroom. The toilet seat is too low and it's not meant for adults.

The rooms were spacious, clean and it had all the amenities! Amazing value for what I paid!

Close to restaurants and shopping. Convenient to highway. Rooms are clean and large. Breakfast ended early on the first day without explanation. No plates available at breakfast on the second day.

The front desk personnel who was working when I arrived was so great - I cannot remember her name but she was very helpful when checking me in and assisted me with getting a remote for my room as I could not locate one in the room. The room was clean and comfortable, there was a small amount of noise from the road but it wasn’t too bad and definitely wasn’t noticeable when I went to sleep. The bed was so comfortable that I just wanted to lounge in it all day- lol… I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, food was tasty and filling. Lastly, Carmen at the front desk who checked me out was so sweet and I appreciated that she asked about my stay and truly seemed to care about the guest experience. All in all it was a 10/10 for me!

The ONLIEST complaint was the walls are a pinch thin. Everything else was great. Perfect selection in the kitchen, clean, bright. Breakfast was decent too

The property has everything you may need and friendly staff. There are many restaurants and stores in the area. The room was nice. There is a mini refrigerator and microwave in the room as well. If you are a light sleeper make sure your room isn't facing the busy road. You can hear the traffic but it wasn't a bother to us.

Be careful they will charge you twice even though you had a third party resetvation

We have loved staying here in the past. It’s clean, comfortable, and affordable. We were staying for a holiday weekend this time and we ended up being placed on the first floor, surrounded by rowdy teens traveling with their parents hockey tournament. They were very loud at night, and though the front desk was responsive when we called, it was less good than in the past.
