The pool was down for maintenance during my stay but other than that, no issues. My room was right next to the kitchen and they notified me of this before I accepted the room. While it was noisier than any other room would’ve been, I did not mind.

Nothing the first day my sister clean because the floor ; bathroom and little fridge are very dirty.i don't recommend the people for my experience.we have to much problems with the key .Have a good day

Was a good place to stay but 2 mornings in a row I went down for breakfast and when returning to my room on the 4th floor my room key didn’t work. Then I had to wait for the elevator to go back downstairs to get it rekeyed. Which took forever because there’s only 1 elevator.

Asked the front desk for another roll of toilet paper and was asked to come get it, told them no, so they brought it down. Did I disclose these issues to the staff, no, because I was told they were sold out and so we would not have been able to move to another room. I’ve stayed at plenty of Holiday Inns and THIS was by far the WORST. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN. Disgusting!!!!

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. Pretty standard but they had good options and they kept it stocked. The air conditioning in the room kept cutting off throughout the night and I would wake up hot and have to turn it back on. The pool was shut down and wasn't going to open until June. That was not told to us in advance. Plus it is very tiny. There is no outdoor space to sit and enjoy. The people working the front desk varied but none were exceptionally welcoming. The guy working was nice and helpful when I needed towels. The ice maker was broken on the first floor. There were people sitting on the bench outside for hours smoking weed. The woman working the desk at checkout was on her phone, wrapped in a blanket, I had to get her attention about checking out. She just looked at me and told me to put the cards in the basket. Terrible hospitality on her part. The hotel is in a good location for Carowinds.

Friendly and efficient front desk staff! Check-in with Twan and check-out with Jamika were great. The breakfast offerings were the best we've ever seen, and Clarissa kept the area spotlessly clean and all the food stocked during the breakfast hours. The TV in the lobby/breakfast room was on, but not blaring (we appreciated this). Our room was very clean and had plenty of room for my husband and me. The grab bar in the bathtub was as you get in (excellent!) and there was a small shelf next to the door, perfect for car and room keys. These are some small designs that make a big difference. We would definitely choose this Holiday Inn Express again the next time we are in Charlotte.

I didn't like that the room key did not work properly. Once we had to go back down and get both keys reset. The other times, we had to swipe at least 10 times

The staff were the best part of our stay. The breakfast was sufficient. Updates are needed—the pool was closed for major repairs and the doors need updated locking system, according to the staff. We had to have our keys reset every day to avoid standing in the hallway frustrated that they didn’t work. It was a good value for the price we paid for 5 night stay. No bells and whistles but clean and comfortable.

I only booked this property for the pool. They stated it was on the listing online but I don’t see Expedia has it posted at all that the pool is not functional!!!!

We had a long day of travel and we were looking forward to jumping in the pool when we arrived and I didn't notice that it was closed when I booked. If pool was up, I would have given 9 stars easy.

Very clean room. My first two nights I stayed in a double queen and the third night in a king sized bed in a different room.I enjoyed the queen size bed better than the king. Most memorable moments would be the bedding, towels, and breakfast. Thank you for having me.

The breakfasts were good, and the staff was friendly. The room lacked a kettle for making coffee or tea; the refrigerator was tiny—too small to even fit a bottle of water—and there was no hairdryer in the bathroom. The mattress was, in my opinion, far too soft (if that matters to anyone), which left me with a sore back; furthermore, the door keys worked very poorly.

Pool was closed due to maintenance My room smelled musty and had mold in the shower and along the base of the shower pan. Apparently there was water leaking out of damaged areas of the shower and the fix was to duct tape it and the floor still got soaked. Breakfast was good and a nice selection and the always available fresh coffee was nice. The rest of the stay, not so much.

The customer service from the staff was excellent. The location was a little far, but the traffic played a big part. This was my first time driving there. The breakfast was excellent. It was a good stay I wished the pool was available but it’s under table that it is under construction.

Pool was closed which wasn’t ideal, had to get my room card replaced 4 times cause it wasn’t working properly. And just didn’t seem a clean as it could of been overall

Good breakfast!

The facility was clean. The staff were helpful and very nice. The pool was out of service during our stay. The air kept going out through the night so the room would get stuffy but then the air would kick back on.

Breakfast was ok I booked this hotel on booking.com and the only reason I picked this hotel because it had a pool in the inside and no were on booking.com did it say the pool was closed the reason we got hotel was because of pool. We was very disappointed. Then in the room only one socket was working thankfully we had an exstention cord so we can charge our phone. With the pool situation we could have booked a cheaper hotel but we book this because of the pool and when the pool is down they don’t even give you a discount and I think they should. I would never stay here again .

It was updated and nice There was food left in the floor by sofa bed, and more food under the night stand. It wasn’t cleaned properly. And when I booked the listing it didn’t say anything about the pool being closed so I was not aware until I arrived that the pool was closed. So that was a real disappointment. Then the people in the room above us were stomping all day and all night long. I even called to the front desk and told them, they called the room above us but they never stopped so we didn’t get any sleep at all.

My stay at the Holiday Inn was excellent from start to finish. When I checked in the 19th of March I accidentally had booked the wrong room. The lady at the front desk (sorry I didn't get her name) was so helpful and kind. She quickly updated my room for me without any problems. I appreciate you so much. The rooms were very clean. Everything smelled fresh and clean. Beds were comfortable. No bugs or insects anywhere. Breakfast was very good. It rotated daily. Included eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, link sausage. Your usual pastries, toast, bagels, yogurt, and pancakes. The property or rooms did not smell of Marijuana or cigarettes. I give staff and property an A+. Thanks for a great visit. I would definitely come back for another great stay. Thank you!

The main reason we booked was for the indoor pool and the kids were so disappointed to find it was closed

It was a quiet business park area, but the room was ok, bed was super low and the room, but it was handicap, not aure how I booked it, most likely did not pay attention… Still, it was not the best or the worse. Other customers were respectful but were hanging outside more than other hotels I stayed at. It was loud as well since our room was on first floor near entrance, no dark blinds to sleep in the morning. Staff was ok and friendly. I don’t like that you have to exchange your towels and bedding and you pretty much do your own housekeeping if needed.

Friendly staff Needed towels in morning, didn't get until later in the evening. I haven't received the $100.00 they took as security deposit as of yet. Room was left in clean , no damage to anything! My key cards were deactivated several hours before actual check out time. I was going to use laundry room at 6:00 am , my key card was deactivated. Check out time is 11:00 am. Not planning to stay at this Hotel on my next visit to Charlotte.

We enjoyed our stay! The staff was friendly upon checking in and out. We found the room to be quite spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel itself was quiet, however, the road of which the hotel is located, was quite noisy at night, making it a little difficult to sleep.

I really liked the first room we stayed in on the first floor rather than the one during our second stay on the third as it is a little outdated and needs fixing plus the first room was larger and cleaner except again for the hair I found on the bed the first time. The staff at Reception and at the breakfast area has always been wonderful and friendly as well as the breakfast was great!

The room was clean BUT with a bad smell like wet and old carpet, we just stayed for 1 night, plus lots of noise, teenagers running around and knocking the doors in the middle of the night, we love the Holiday Inn but this one was the exception.

The staff was excellent and more than helpful in our check in and stay. The breakfast buffet was very good and with lots of choices for everyone. Love the coffee maker that's available 24/7. My husband had a doctor's appointment and the staff allowed us to come in and rest early and told us how to get to the appointment. Great friendly and helpful SO NICE.

All in all our stay was great! There were many options for the breakfast buffet and the food was delicious! Check in was quick and checkout as well and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and the room we stayed in was very spacious and no issues there. I have only one complaint. Right before I went to bed, I noticed there was hair on the edge of the fitted sheet on the bed which we just threw out in the garbage and I felt uneasy about sleeping in the bed after finding it there and was unsettling. Other than that, everything was great for a quick stay while travelling to our vacation destination.

It was a very good stay. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The service and cost were very good. We only had one incident with the pull out sofa bed. Overall we give it a thumbs up.

The room did not smell great upon arrival, my son referred to it like cigarette smoke, my mom who came in after said a musty dog, to me more so like a bad mop.

It was loud inside the hotel. Needed noise control after 11. The elevator sounded like it was knocking. Just 1 elevator for that hotel was not enough.

Hotel rooms were nice and spacious. Friendly staff, especially Twan! Breakfast was good. Went to Carowinds for the first time so this hotel was an affordable and convenient overnight stay after a long day.

It was a nice stay but they need to go more by the rules for food safety at breakfast. Both days the worker turned off the heat for the hot stuff eggs sausage etc before 10 with food still in it. Sunday she turned off the jeat at 9:35 when breakfast isnt over till 10. Guests can get sick with food not at proper temperature.They should have at least 2 people working breakfast on the weekends.

Con: The treadmill was broken, the yoga mats ripped, need replacing. I was concerned about my vehicle over night. The walls are really thin and I had to wear my noise canceling headphones to sleep.

Good for 1 night stay.

The room and other facilities were all clean and well-maintained. Likewise, the staff was very friendly and more than happy to help answer any questions that arose. What really sold me though was the full breakfast included with my stay; lots of variety and good quality of food. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the Holiday Inn Express by IHG to anyone else looking for a decent hotel at an affordable price. I’ll definitely be staying at one of their other locations on my next trip.

Very nice, spacious and clean Double Queen suite. Perfect size for 3 adults. Staff were incredibly friendly and breakfast was great! Lots of hot food items to choose from.

From check in to check out everyone was friendly.

Likes basically everything! What I didn't like was that they didn't provide enough towels and washcloths. Also even though they have soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers it would have been nice to still provide small bar soaps and small bottles lotions. Place was very clean and I would stay there again.

Great hotel, great attention by the staff very close to the highway and the breakfast was on point. The double queen room very spacious and. Family of 2 adults and 2 young kids.

Like the area - chose this hotel for the return trip both ways with family. Staff is courteous and professional. Took care of our request for extra sheets/pillows. Clean rooms/bath. Always like the hot breakfast choices at IHG. It would be great to have some Halal meat options as well. Overall great place for family stay.

Location and some clientele not good. Staff going through motions but do not care about quality of service. Room modern and very good except cleanliness. Breakfast items could be fresher and better. No quality food options close by. Overall OK, but not outstanding or 4 start review. Forgettable.
