    This hotel was a welcome respite after a long day of delayed flights and missed connections. Kristen at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The room was large, clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices from cold cereal and yogurt to eggs, bacon and waffles made to order. Four minutes to the airport and a couple minutes to the highway. Very convenient. Highly recommend.

    Very close to the airport. The shuttle was excellent. Couldn't do breakfast because we left at 530. A grab and go breakfast for early departures would be great. All good but left too early for breakfast.

    Front desk clerk staff exhibited a couple of below average customer service skills, mostly stuff that can be cleaned up with better leadership, training, and situational awareness, but they were overall friendly, as one would expect for a Hampton Inn. Other than that, the stay was pretty good. Not a bad place, just wish they'd clean up those aspects.

    Staff was super friendly. Access to the hotel was very convenient. Only bother for us was that we didn’t check before hand, so were caught off guard by the paid parking as we were not downtown. Luckily it was only $12, but that may have swayed our choice of hotels.

    Hotel lobby and rooms were clean. Pay to park your car overnight while staying at the hotel. They told us it's so no one parks at the hotel for their flight, but a simple vehicle registry would tell then if a guest had a room. Breakfast was very limited.

    Air condition sounded like a lawn mower was on as it cycle through to turn off. It kept us awake and it was warm in the room. You have to pay for parking even if you’re staying for the night. We had to leave before 6 on a Saturday so they did not have a grab and go breakfast like they did M-F. So all of the above was disappointing. Staff was great and room was really nice. Really convenient to airport

Even the coffee station was empty both mornings. However, she didn't seem to be in a hurry to comply either. But other than that everything else was good. We will come back.

    The shuttle driver in the morning was exceptional! Our plane was late and arrived after midnight. Our flight was supposed to be there before midnight and our layover was I had researched to find out how to arrange a shuttle and the recording said to go to “trackmyshuttle.com” and put in a code. This webpage said it was a 24-hour shuttle, but when I put in the code, it said till midnight. When I realized the delay was going to potentially get us there a bit after midnight, I called the front desk at 7:20 pm to clarify because of the conflicting times. I asked what happened if our plane was late and got there after midnight. The male I spoke to said if it was after 12 , I should call the front desk when we arrived and they would arrange to send a a Lyft. When we finally arrived at CLT at 12:30 (exhausted after many delays all day) I called the front desk and this time, a female answered and told me they didn’t know who told me that the hotel would send a Lyft (I had called 5 hours earlier) but there was no shuttle and no, they do not provide transportation and we were on our own to get transportation. We ended up getting an Uber $25 for a 4 minute ride. I was really disappointed and aggravated because we had already paid $170 primarily because we could get a shuttle to a place to get a 5-6 hours of sleep after a long day of travel with an overnight layover. We won’t stay here again (or any Hampton Inn) for this reason as I will either seek out a less expensive place (knowing I have to pay for transportation) or assure a 24 hour shuttle.

    The hotel itself was perfect however the staff were dismissive about my concerns with my room and the issue I had. As I was checking out I brought up again about the incident in my room to a different person who not only shrugged it off but was just as dismissive as the first person I relayed my issue with. I would have given a much better review if they could have simply apologized .

    The rooms were very clean and staff were kind and friendly. Also having cookies at check in was a nice touch. I really object to being charged separately for parking, especially because if I am parking I am not riding your “free” shuttle. It feels like I am being nickeled and dimed. If you can’t make ends meet charging your current rate then raise the rates, don’t try to find creative ways to increase revenue. This surprise fee to park in an open lot was off putting.

    Location and airport shuttle service Front desk personnel was courteous, but unprofessional. I specifically look for Hampton Inn when I have a need for a hotel, but this experience ended that. Poor quality in bed, bedding, and overall hotel. Felt more like I was at a roadside “motel”. I have stayed at numerous hotels over the past 4 months and have not given any of them a bad rating. Not this time though. Very disappointing.

    Your gym was closed and i called to ask if you had a gym. You could have said YES AND it was closed.. You put me in a handicap room adn I ask for a KING. The Heater not operational in room. I got fan working but it was so loud I turned it all off. And I had to pay for parking???? Never had to do that before.

    The check-in staff was friendly and extremely helpful no complaints there. However, the staff at time of check-out had a terrible attitude and was definitely not friendly. The shuttle staff was not friendly but I'm assuming he was just doing his job. He took me to the airport and dropped me off, did not help me with my bags and refused to take me earlier. I called the front desk at 4:00am and asked for a shuttle she told he could not take me earlier even though when I walked down to the lobby he was sitting in the lobby on his phone. Overall, the front desk personnel's attitude was terrible and very unprofessional.

    Got locked out of the room due to a bad battery in the in the door locking system. My wife was inside totally asleep and they woke her up by phone to get up and open the door. They could have had the maintenance guy come change the battery right then. It scared her.

    I do not like that there is no bar or restaurant at this property. There is also a lot of overhead plane noise because it's so close to the airport. I do like that they have an airport shuttle, though.

    The room was good, Clean, comfortable bed, and allowed our dog. But... it was noisy being right next to a fedex trailer loading warehouse, and planes fliying right over for landing.. not quiet at all. Lol! The ac was broken and kept shutting off and slaming back on. That being said it kept us awake. Also.. i do not recommend this location because we woke up to several trucks with back windows smashed and stuff stolen out of them. I arrived around 10:00 pm and the very sweet gal told me they had no rooms available. She was so apologetic. She saw my name in her computer, but said something about the third party reservation. She gave me some suggestions for other hotels. Feeling defeated, I called three hotels nearby. None had any vacancies. Traveling alone, in an unfamiliar city, no vacancies, pushing through an exhaustion induced headache, I tried one more place. Country Inn & Suites had a vacancy. I pounced. I finally got to my room around 11:45 pm. The staff here were also very kind and helpful. The room was decent for a 6 hour stay. Feeling unrested, exhausted, and somewhat gobsmacked by all of this, I still wanted to be truthful about the staff and the hotel where I finally rested my head albeit for 4 hours. Looking forward to getting home.

    Everything was good. The shuttle driver and the front desk help was very very good. I have stayed at this hotel a couple times and they are always so friendly. The lady that works in the breakfast area in the mornings is NOT friendly. She was rude both times I stayed. I did this same comment on the last stay I had. I will most likely stay at this hotel in the future because the front desk and shuttle drive make up for her rudeness but not so sure I won't be rude back to her next time.

    I booked a 3 night stay at this hotel. During the first night the fire alarm went off for an hour and the light flashed all night so I couldn’t sleep. The following morning there was no running water until 3pm which was a major unconvincing because I had a wedding to go to. I was told that I’d be reimbursed with reward points and my third night would be free. The whole point of my stay was to make it to the wedding on time and that wasn’t possible. I still haven’t been reimbursed, I am highly disappointed with my experience at this hotel.

    There was not a single towel bar in the bathroom. The toilet was constantly running (I fixed it myself). Some USB ports were not working. A box of facial tissues with a grand total of 4 tissues in it and no new boxes of tissues were left. The "barn door" for the bath and clothes closet was the goofiest design I've ever seen. If you did hang up any clothes the hangar protrudes from the closet making the door useless (the closet was about half the depth it should have been). TV remote didn't work and I was told there were no "good" remotes to let me use. I asked for a wakeup call and it came an hour early because the switchboard had not been adjusted for the return to standard time (2 days after the time shift). Staff for the most part were competent but what can you do with such a poorly designed and maintained facility. The breakfast was good and Manuela was very nice.

    We booked a room through Expedia in advance before a flight to Hawaii and we were given an ADA room that had trash in trash can and beds that were very low…. We asked for another room and was told Expedia booked this for us. I did not request a handicap room. There was no other rooms for them to move us so we had to stay there. Not a good nights sleep!

    I had to book a room due to a canceled flight. I called to try to.set up the shuttle service. The night desk staff was rude on the phone. Spoke to me like I was stupid. Like i was supposed to know what the procedure was for the shuttle services. I couldn't hear good because I was at the airport and she got an attitude because I couldn't hear. Then when I got to the hotel she was rude in person after I already had issues with my flight. I will not ever stay there again if i have another layover in Charlotte.

    What a great hotel if you have a layover at Charlotte airport. It’s about a five minute shuttle bus ride from the airport. The staff is great. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. And the morning breakfast was delicious. I’ll be recommending this to my travel agency clients in the future.
