Fairfield Inn by Marriott Arrowood

The property has not been maintained since the hotel opened many decades ago. The curtains were ripped, the wood furniture is worn away, water damage all around sink and toilet, floor was filthy, shower had soap scrub and hair. Would never recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed my stay and will book again if needed.

Excellent breakfast. Get up at the time about it and you have a better choice. Staff is awesome Juan in particular@ the Arrowwood location. Was extremely helpful Expedia site didn't have correct information on the rose and one navigated the system and we had come all the way from New York to North Carolina under a stressful situation and he informed us later he had only been on the job less than a week and his professionalism and expertise was unparalleled. Also the housekeeping staff was awesome and extremely helpful. From the outside looking in you wouldn't have expected all of the above from first look. The room was huge, had everything a traveler would need and things a customer would have forgotten in haste, (i.e., toothbrush/paste) they were able to assist with those things, graciously. And tucked away with Fairfield, of all things was a Wendy's which was just a stone's throw away. ALL IN ALL- ⭐️AWESOME⭐️AWESOME ⭐️AWESOME ⭐️AWESOME ⭐️AWESOME!!! 5 STARS!!

Cold and very poor tasting “hot” choices There was no USB hook ups in the room, cable was fuzzy and not working for all of the TVs. I booked to have double beds in each room and was only given one bed per room. Bed was uncomfortable and room was dirty. staff said they overbooked the hotel, which is why they could not give me the rooms that I booked specifically for the amount of people I needed.

Great service and location, but the building/rooms are outdated; a lot of wear and tear. The room was clean and comfortable, but renovations are needed! The good news is the staff is wonderful!

The hotel, in general, was clean but tired. It needs some updating and general care. The beds were very clean and super comfortable. We slept very well, despite the noise in the hallway which easily comes into the room. Also, the hotel is in the flight path so we heard two planes go overhead during the night. Fortunately, they were not very loud. Thankfully, at breakfast, there was food for my son who is gluten and dairy free.

the only negative for me was so close to highway and could hear cars all night and being in the path of the flights at the airport.

Really enjoyed the stay at Fairfield Inn Arrowhead in Charlotte. Staff were very friendly and proficient. Room was clean had fresh linens. Breakfast was very good and well stocked. Ample amounts of fresh well-prepared food and drink. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

It’s close to Wendy’s if you don’t have a car while visiting No smoking rooms ! So I had to smoke my trees outside with the real trees

I was disappointed with the pool area. I just wanted to get some early morning sun but there was nowhere decent to sit, let alone lounge. Lastly, on the Saturday night that I stayed, a small group had a gathering in the parking lot right under my window. Music, drinks, smokes and dancing for about 1-1/2 hours. That was an unfortunate surprise. Marriott.....I won't be back to this location.

Nice fitness room. Good breakfast. Large room and comfortable bed. Light switch was outside of bathroom (weird). I was given a free upgrade to the executive suite which was nice, but the suite was near the elevator and ice machine which was a bit noisy and on the first floor. Water pressure in shower was great.

Management does not cal back or follow at all. The room was not cleaned at all while staying there. Not given clean towels or took any trash. Had to request towels and wash clothes everyday. Not a nice area. Hotel was old and dirty. There was some blood stains on the walls and didn’t see that until the morning. I had blood on sheets I’m guessing from bed bugs. Reported to manager and exterminator was called. Hotel manger is calling me after they get results. I am so disgusted with this entire one night stay. Do not go there. Booking.com is loosing their credibility. I plan on contacting an attorney this hotel needs to close. I’m concerned about taking the bugs home. Didn’t line anything

My daughter and l had not booked a hotel and we didn’t realize it until we arrived to the city of our destination all the surrounding hotels we booked we noticed heavy traffic and parking it was after 12:00 mid night ;I finally asked a staff member why were all the hotels full , I was told it was a game tournament going on for the weekend. When I went on line Fairfield had an opening we booked it . We were exhausted. The staff welcomed us with a refreshing smile so late into night, our rooms were clean beds were so comfortable .. everything were perfect! Plus I get BonVoy points. Best Hotel! We shall return. Thank you

Upon arrival they charged me another $20 per night for “incidentals” not sure what that was for. If I had been able to get my money back I would have left the 1st night. I will be hesitant to trust deals thru Expedia going forward, especially if when I get to the hotel I’m going to be charged something more than what I booked for. There was a better hotel across the street that was listed for $30 more a night but I chose Fairfield because of a bogus rating and to save a few bucks. I would say you get what you pay for! The bathrooms and rooms are severely outdated. Shower dripped all night long. Towels were something you get from dollar store. Beds were not comfortable. TV size of computer screen. It worked for a quick one night stay but for the price and rating I expected way better comfortable stay! Would not stay here again

Last minute booking for the 4th of July! The hotel definitely met our needs. The only criticism is that they represented having a full breakfast! They did have a few things to offer but not what I would consider a full hot breakfast!

We stayed for 2 nights and never received fresh towels or wash cloths. Had to ask for toilet tissue. they never changed the sheets or emptied the trash. When we arrived the person at the front desk was on her cell phone and ‘didn’t see us’ for a couple of minutes. We had 3 guests and she didn’t see us.

Although the motel is located close to I-70, the setting was quiet.

Convenient to interstate but quiet setting.

Overall, the property was clean. However, it didnt feel good to take shower and find long hair that didnt belong to you in the tub and on the wall near the shampoo.

A quick stop over on a longer trip. It provided a central location while visiting the Charlotte area.

generally clean and pleasant. Reached at 1pm, but have to wait until 3pm to check-in, not very good experience with the wait.

smelly rooms with old carpet, gym is a joke , very noisy inside from proximity to hwy. Super nice and friendly staff

There was trash in the parking lot. Could you have been cleaner. The hotel room was dated but clean.

And I know upfront that Hotels.com says it cannot grant special requests, which I completely understand, but we got seemingly the loudest room in the entire hotel (116, closest to lobby and elevator). We had specifically requested an upper-level room away from elevator in ice machines. Even further down the first-floor corridor would have been better. I asked the clerk for another room, and he politely told me no, which I understand. But I kept waking up throughout the night to people getting on/off the elevator and doors slamming. I think this would have been helped by staying in a room further away from the lobby. This was made better by a delicious hot breakfast this morning. The noise could have possibly been from the hotel’s proximity to Carowinds. I love Fairfield Inns because I’ve had wonderful experiences with them in the past. But I may stay at one further away from the park next time.

Everything about my stay was nice including the staff. I’m going to choose them again for my next staycation.

I was very disappointed. The room does not have any USB charges in the room (everywhere I've stayed the rooms have been updated with this feature), the coffee in the breakfast room that was supposed to be bold was weak. The eggs were very salty, the sausage was luke warm, and the general appearance was very mediocre. There was duct tape in the hallways holding the carpet down. I've stayed in Fairfield Inns all over the country and I would rate this one at or near the bottom.

Checking was not very welcoming. The man was on the phone a long time with another guest. I waited. He got off the phone and seemed inconvenienced by me. The reservation was under my husbands name(who was in the car) and he said he didn’t need to come check in, then he wanted him to. We are married, have never had this happen before. We booked a regular king and we’re given an ADA King and I asked why we did not get the room booked. He said, “It’s the same thing”. He was not very nice or welcoming. The rest of the stay was good. Comfortable bed, good breakfast and all other staff was very nice. Hotel was very plain and basic, no frills.

Well I was not happy the first night. 12/30/2022. The toilet was stopped up.call front desk he said let me find you another room ok cool. An hour pass we heard nothing, so my husband goes to front desk gentleman layed back watching TV. Tell my husband he don’t have another room no one available to come up and check on the toilet situation. What happen to communication????my husband ask for a plunger and did it his self after about 30min plunging he got the toilet unstopped. I think I should either get a discount refund or discount on another stay at any of the Fairfield hotels. We should not have to do work in a hotel we already paid to stay at. Maybe I should have a picture my bad

The property had great breakfast (hot & cold)

Clerks were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good - fresh fruit, too! Room was clean,quiet and bed very comfortable. We have stayed here before and will continue to do so!

Very Clean hotel !

Had to move rooms three times. Carry our luggage back and forth each time. First room tv would not turn on, bathroom door would not lock, second room tv would turn on but no signal. Was just an inconvenience everything else seemed to be typical.

I was locked out of my room and it took three hours to unlock the door. The deadbolt was on and the connecting room door shut behind me. The staff person didn’t call for help for an hour and wouldn’t allow me to hire. Locksmith. I was in my pjs and made to go to the front desk several times. My comfort was not considered

The staff here were very helpful and courteous.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night for an event. The staff were professional and made check in and check out easy. The room was small but cozy. The room was clean and met my needs for the night. I would stay here again. However, the elevator did smell like marijuana each time we got on it.

It’s a good distance from everything, breakfast was not that great, and I like the fact they had lemonade at the front desk for the guest

From check in to breakfast, everything was great! The front desk was courteous & efficient as well as breakfast staff!

Clean hotel breakfast is good with lots of choices, friendly staff highly recommended!!
