Nasty place to stay, dirty

We've been to this hotel before and it was comfortable, and I asked for a handicapped room at booking and was not given one. However, they went beyond my expectations to ensure my bathroom became more accessible. Good staff and helpful

I should have left when we pulled ij the parking lot and got out to come in and could smell weed. I understand people have to have it but it was extremely overwhelming. I was here to stay for one night because I was having surgery early Monday morning and I live 3 hours away. We came on in and checked in and you could smell weed in the lobby area. The clerk that checked us in was nice and helpful. We got our room key and went to our room. I booked a non smoking room but clearly it had been smoked in prior to our stay. Both my husband and I sleep with a CPAP machine and there was only one nightstand for a king size bed so one of us had to jimmy up something else for our CPAP machine. Fast forward a few hours we were asleep and around 11:00 pm a lady came beating on our door claiming she was from the front office and demanded we stop smoking weed. My husband told her we didn’t have any weed and that we don’t smoke it and she pretty much called him a liar and said she could smell it coming from our room. Keep in mind the entire lobby and first floor smells like this. My husband then told her it wasn’t us and did he need to come out and prove to her it wasn’t and that it was another room. She was extremely rude!! WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!

Negative: - Mattress was not comfortable - No coffee machine in the room. They quickly provided one when we asked, but it was broken - A glance at the cooking range, and we decided not to try that I have stayed in ESA in the past for really extended stays and loved those, so this time we booked it the moment we saw one in the area. This may be the last time stayed there :-(

Someone cooked fish and stunk up a whole floor. We couldn't pick a different floor since everything was already booked. Staff was respectful but couldn't do much about the smell. Room was dirty, other people's hairs were on towels, bedsheets and shower. Walls had holes in it.

The staff and location are the best things about this property. Smokers don’t always obey the no smoking area in the front after staff have closed the concierge area for the night, but that’s people being people not properties fault.

The staff was amazing!! There are not enough dishes for all the rooms. I chose this hotel to stay with my children because of the kitchen but did not have anything, even a cup, in the room for two days. The staff did what they could to provide items, but it was challenging to provide for my two children as hoped.

My room was riddled with cockroaches and it smelled of mold. I was moved another room that also had dead cockroaches in the bathroom. They tried to move me to another room, however it also had dead cockroaches in it. I will never stay there again.

Cockroaches were found in the first room and had to switch the room late at night, but the same issue was noted.

There are roaches and the kitchen faucet leaked the whole two weeks I was there. Breakfast is not always available, it all depends on what time the staff shows up, and sometimes they don’t put coffee or anything out at all.

Was a bit of a safety issue was the one elevator did not work and the other one would not work at times so guests would have to use the stairs, over Thanksgiving you had quite a bit of elderly men and wowan with walking disabilities coming down and the stairs some from the 4 and 3 floor struggling, but overall a good stay and would definitely go back and recommend it

Staffs are VERY FRIENDLY. They did their best of their abilites. parking is good and safe Room : Room 118 floors were not cleaned at all. If you walk on a bare foot it could turn dirty in seconds. It was so dirty. Bathroom shower knob kept falling out of the place all the time. Chair was not good when turning on heaters room started smelling like inhaling grilled chicken smoke. Had to get staff's help to use room freshener and we end up not turning on Heaters. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I felt i could have gone to a different hotel for the same price. This was a big let down.

The room was a mess - there were stains on the bathroom counter, the USB plugs for the wall worked half the time. There was a damp odor in the hallway/bedroom. The breakfast offered little to be desired. When I asked for dishes, they were given to me in a trash bag. The handle from the shower came off when I first turned the knob. There were many stains in the bathroom and mystery hairs as well as mold on the ceiling/walls. I left the hotel and came home sick from the mold in the room. The window was stuck open half the time. The dishes that were given to me had soap all over it so I had to rewash them all.

They could not find my reservation, changed it to two beds instead of the king size I reserved. I have a video of a cockroach in the bathroom sink. Shower looked like it had cigarette ashes in it and smelled like someone had smoked in there recently.

I highly do not recommend, horrible experience. I didn’t even end up staying. During the short time I was in the hotel there was fighting in the room next to mine and banging on the walls. The front desk lady was unable to be helpful and very rude. The place did not feel like a safe place to stay there were even cop car doing drive by the building. I left the same day I checked in and went and stayed somewhere else.

One of the more run down extended stay americas we’ve stayed in. Lots of wear in the rooms. The location is good, but the other guests seem to be a bit rough around the edges. We came back around 11pm to a few cars parked in the parking lot playing music from their speakers with about 10-15 people standing around enjoying beverages. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t very good either. The staff was great, but the condition of the property and the noise associated with it would keep us from staying here again.

My stay was ok but the room wasn’t clean, the fridge wasn’t clean , and using old ice trays is crazy. Tv was too small for the room size. The air conditioner was undersized for the room. The staff wasn’t friendly, and when I checked out there was no receipt for me. Hope you decide to improve these things for future customers

My girl friend and I were visiting the area for a concert, and really enjoyed the location of this location, as well as the home feeling we received when we were welcomed to the hotel by the staff member. The room was a tad bit out dated, paint scrapings off the wall, and the toilet button kept getting stuck. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay!!

I had to go back yo the front desk and ask to put me in a non smoking room because my room smelled so bad. I also did not get a key for the room because the system was down. I was also very surprised that the "free internet" was not actually free if I wanted to streem the movies on my laptop. What a pity rip off.

Ha! What stay!? We didnt get to stay because the lady at the front desk said we could not check in because it was almost 2a.m and we had been to a concert & didn't get there until late! She was so rude! So we left and drove 3 hours back home! 30 minutes after we left my card was ran for the stay we didnt get!!

Absolutely the best extended stay I've stayed at. It has a "private" drive. It's not in a questionable area or clientele. Super supportive and accommodating staff.

This location is always my go-to spot when I'm visiting the Charlotte area! This facility is clean, safe, and close to the freeway, but conveniently tucked away in a somewhat secluded area to escape the busy parts of Charlotte/Pineville...sort of a suburb feel. Anthony and his team get an A+ for hospitality and I look forward to visiting again and recommending this Extended Stay to my family and friends!

When i arrived the associate informed me there was a $150 deposit. There was no mention of this when booking. Apparently it is a new rule. Then after i checked in, my key didn’t work. I sent my daughter down to tell the clerk as i waited at the door. A lady comes down the hall with her luggage and says her room is my room number. My key didn’t work because he book someone in the same room right after me. Finally got it fixed. Called to get the wifi password and after he didn’t call back even though he promised to, i called the front desk 2 more times and he gave me the previous lady’s information to use as the password because he never switched it after fixing the double booking. All in all a horrible experience.

I personally spoke to the manager about the uncleanliness of the room we had. The hotel is a good property but it needs to be better cleaned regularly. Numerous people have commented about this issue in their reviews.

Even though they were over booked and almost cancel our reservation they made it work. The front desk worker she was very polite and super helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. I also the mall was very near as well. I would definitely recommend this place.

There were some stains on on the sheets, but the only thing that truely bothered me was the $150 deposit that i was completely unaware of prior to getting there, making my 87 dollar night almost 300 dollars (they said it would be returned within 3 days) but still ive never heard of being charged more blindly !! Some people may not have an extra 150 they wont need so i find that ridiculous.

Not sure who was supposed to communicate this at checkin, but they dropped the ball. Finally, housekeeping needs to clean the handles in the interior rooms and doors. The door handle on the bathroom from the inside was disgusting. Not sure if it was ketchup or dried blood. They also need to clean the surface of the stove. When we turned it on, apparently something left previously started to smoke and set off the smoke detector.

Switched to 2 different rooms, deadbolt was broken and both were dirty. Ended up canceling my reservation on the spot and still waiting for a refund. Do not stay here.

The staff at the property were excellent. The only thing missing were hair dryers in the room. That would be my only criticism

When i was checking in, i noticed a cockroach climbing up the wall. Told the young black girl and all i got was omg ew i hate bugs. The remote to tv where dead with battery acid comin out of it. Took it to service desk. Staff handed me used batteries which did work.

I would like to be on the top floor next time…whoever was over top of me sounded like they had 10 kids up there…could barely sleep

I bought two rooms. Check in was quick. Lots of parking. The room had a full stove, refrigerator, and everything a hotel offers. Beds were comfortable. My room and the room my daughter stayed in was clean except my daughter's room had roaches. There was even a roach in the bed. Other than the roaches in my daughter's room it was a nice stay. I would consider staying again. I stayed only for one day. Get rid of the roaches and you have a winner here.

We checked into two rooms. Both rooms were nice, orderly, and clean. Room had a full refrigerator, stove that actually works, and some plates and utensils. We had a nice stay but the only thing that was wrong was the presence of roaches in my daughter's room. That ruined her stay unfortunately because she found one in the bed. Other than that, the hotel was nice and quiet. I would take a chance and stay again.

I have no complaints outside of folks wanting to smoke when they weren't supposed to. This location was nearby a lot of restaurants, gas stations, movie theater, grocery stores, etc. I liked the kitchen features and full refrigerator, the ability to open the windows a little. I had to request items for the kitchen but they had everything I needed. The front desk staff was cordial and I'd return again.

1st room the A/C wasn’t cool at all. Moved to a 2nd room, the TV didn’t work & the shower was nasty. Looked like mold in the entire end & corner where shower knobs were.

Had a full kitchen no dishes. Never have i stayed in a place with a kitchen without supplies. Also it did not have a couch. It was clean. The bed squeak thought it waa gonna break. Hotel smelled nice and clean rooms are always a plus.

Basic . No coffee maker or hair dryer in room. Heat didn't work, had to switch rooms. "Breakfast included" is a joke. Granola bars and cheap muffins.

This hotel needs a major renovation. The rooms are so outdated and not clean at all. The bathroom and floors were so dirty. Even though the room was "non-smoking", you could smell the smoke in the room. Also, there were pieces of cigarettes in the hallway and people were knocking on our door during the night. I won't go back to that hotel.

How do you let it get like that if people are literally paid to clean it regularly! My other half has immune problems and exposure to black mold was not happening, we requested a refund & left!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Our toilet kept clogging and they gave us a plunger. Also, we expected a free breakfast, but only coffee, muffins and granola bars were offered.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at this property, I like it that the floors are bare, no dirty carpet to worry about. You have a full kitchen and the utensils are provided per request if needed. Clean, actually very clean. Nice fresh smelling towels. Great for traveling with your dog! Will stay again when needed.

Very clean and quiet for most part. All staff was very pleasent eccept for an older member of the staff that was very impatient and rude.

The room was dirty. The tub was seriously nasty. No coffee maker, etc. it’s advertised as an extended stay but no kitchen supplies at all. It’s advertised with dining utensils. Dogs barking all night.

No ice machine I asked if there was ice machine They say No There's a Circle K down the street For the money you pay Could have been a lot better It's like standing in a Motel 6
