Service was completely unsatisfactory for the price of the hotel. me & my partner called the hotel numerous times to tell them our flight was delayed & would be arriving late. We eventually arrived at 12:30 am to a front desk man who was in the middle of doing something so he asked us to wait. Ok- he then began to check us in and asked for my card I used to pay. I handed him my chime debit card and he told me with a stone cold “I don’t care face” that they don’t accept it and compared it to a cash app card. Not sure how an online bank like chime is not accepted where thousands of dollars get deposited in monthly; and I have used said card MANY TIMES to check into numerous hotels over the past years. I began to panic as it was 1 am at this point and after a day of traveling this person is telling me basically “oh well.” I asked if we can pay in cash or if he knew any other hotels we could sleep at and he basically just shrugged and said he doesn’t know if they will accept the card and looked bothered I was even still there. He then called the manager and was on the phone in the 25 seconds phone call said it was fine. He begrudgingly took my card and handed the keys. Other then that the whole staff was just rude and unwelcoming. Every-time you would approach the front desk they wouldn’t even look at you while speaking and seem like they were bothered by your presence. The room was falling apart as well with the fridge door broken, bathroom ceiling coming down.

Something happened with reservations being mixed up which they had the wrong person and security tried to kick us out saying our reservation was for only one night and he threatened us that he was going to get his team to throw us out .. horrible

The staff were amazing especially dale he went above and beyond to make the stay wonderful. The internet was horrible. The breakfast that you had to pay extra for was the worst one yet. Also there shouldn’t be a fee for parking if there’s no valet parking offered

Absolutely! They don't have washers and dryers for guests to use. I have a bad back and it's terrible to have to transport two weeks of dirty clothes via a Lyft to a local laundromat!! I have been in Hilton Hotels for at least the past 8 months straight.

They downgraded us from our reserved king to a double queen in the basement. Our view of the window was a solid wall. There was no pressure in the bathroom sink and the hinges were broken on the bathroom door. When I provided the feedback, all I got was a thank you. No apologies or any thing else. Shuttle to the airport only runs at the top of the hour so make sure you plan accordingly. We ended up using a drive service instead.

Just a suggestion... The wipes being used to clean the rooms leaves lint behind, making it seem as if the room is dusty. Other than that I enjoyed my stay!

This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at where they ran out of towels. My friend and I stayed there for 3 nights and we requested new towels and were told they did not have anymore and when some were finished washing we would receive some and never did. We had to ask several times before we received our towels. Our rooms were never refreshened the whole trip. The tub and the toilet had stains. You also have to pay for parking and when they have conferences you have to park across the street in the over flow parking lot. It also smells weird.

The hotel smelled like weed and wet carpet my entire stay (4 nights). The smell was so bad I caught a headache. Speaking of wet carpet, they had this super loud carpet drying fan thing (see photos) outside of my door running from day 2 of my stay and it was still running when I left. It was very annoying and interrupted any chance of peace and quiet. The entire carpet needs to be replaced. I even went down to the floor with the gym and saw other rooms going through the same thing I was going through with that nonsense right outside of their door. Oh man, and on night two at 1am, the fire alarm goes off and we all had to evacuate. Imagine doing that at 1am when you’re settled in and even worse, have a child with you like I did. We evacuated and I had to call 911. All those ppl and no one called 911 because we all assumed the front desk employee did. I’m not blaming him for anything though I saw him on the phone trying to handle it. I think he was following whatever protocol they had and calling his higher ups. After I called 911 the firefighters got there in 4-5 mins. It took them 30 mins to turn off the fire alarm. I think they walked through everyone’s rooms of all floors because when we went back in our rooms you could tell someone was in there. We were allowed back in after a few mins of the alarm being off. Except for those on the 6th & 7th fl.

Loved the rocking chair, and my cookie ( when I finally got one) -That I had to ask for my cookie on my second day there. I was told folks usually ask for it. But I never knew it was a thing until another guest mentioned it to me. - I was not told there was no ice on my floor. And the directional plaquereds were giving wrong directions on the floors that did have them. - I might be misinformed on this one but I think there was 1 microwave for the whole building. I wanted to ask concierge but the line was longer than I would have liked and opted to use the one in the lobby.

Property was nice. After flight cancellation, I booked this hotel via Orbitz while trying to sort out our flight for the next day. Prepaid via Orbitz. Had to wait in line for 30 minutes to check in - but wasn’t surprised as several flights were cancelled. Once I made it to the front of the line I was singled out because I booked “late” via Orbitz. Was told to either wait for them to fill other rooms reserved or find another hotel. By this point it was after midnight, so we waited another 45 minutes then went back to the front desk - to a different clerk who gave us a room. The first one yelled at him and said we booked after 10:30 and he shouldn’t. Then the next morning we tried to catch the shuttle to the airport. She said “no” that those were for people that booked their rooms earlier. Okay, Uber it is then. Then I asked if I could purchase a coke for the road. She said no, she hasn’t run her night audit reports. Really weird experience.

My second night a could slightly smell sewage in the hall. 5th floor room 508 smell was awful. Moved to another room, and it had a sticky spot on the floor, electrical outlets did not properly work by the bed or workstation, only one reading light worked. Door does not fit tightly in the door frame. You can see the light in the hall around the frame. Staff was friendly. Late night parking is difficult.

The property is not maintained, the toilet would run if you did not jiggle the handle, the AC sounded like a broken motor and barely worked, all the lights were falling apart. Everywhere you went in the hotel it smelled like marijuana, they charge you to park but have partied there where they do not charge the attendees for parking, which leave no parking for the people staying there, they tell you sorry but you can park up the street in a barely lit unsafe parking area, They tell you the party will be over early then there will be parking, and that the partiers are supposed to park in the overflow lot up the street. This hotel should not have the Hilton name.

The room has something in the bedside table that looked like body fluids!!! I know that my room was out in a a priority to be cleaned because of that, but it was still dirty after going out for the morning when returned at 11:00 am. That’s not priority! The Night shift staff Rachel was excellent! She was very attentive and made me feel heard. She took great care of our needs and did what she could to help us feel comfortable during our stay. Rachel deserves recognition and a raise! People return for that kind of service. Your Day shift staff needs more training or lacks drive to satisfy and serve your client base . The heavy set African American gentleman that checked me in was not helpful at all. In fact, I found him quite rude and condescending. That kind of service gets a great hotel atmosphere poor reviews and bad recommendations. People don’t want to stay somewhere they feel like they are being taken advantage of and disrespected. Lack of trust makes people feel unsafe and uneasy. That adds stress which is the last thing people want more of. No thanks, hard pass! You’re blessed to have Rachel, if it weren’t for her I would’ve cancelled my future reservations I have booked for April 30-May 3 . I hope y’all do better with the rooms. No fans in the bathrooms, and the shower head is a fixed one making it difficult to bathe young children, handicapped, elderly, or physically impaired. No tub , no exhaust fan, no hand held shower head , no microwave in room do better

I liked the location, it was convenient to a lot of stuff. I didn’t like how dark the room was. There was not enough light in the room. The shower door wouldn’t stay shut when you took a shower and they only supplied 2 towels and when I went to the front desk to ask for an extra towel, they told me they only had wash rags.

The room space is good, but the air conditioning is very noisy, even though set the fan in low. Airport shuttle service is badly managed. I waited for the shuttle for an entire hour in cold, even though I called and was told the shuttle would be there 15-20 minutes. It didn’t show up till one hour later. The actual driver time is 15 minutes only.

I have stayed in double tree hotels before and I always had a good experience, this time I was not too happy and all started at check in, and everything went downhill from there. The staff was not friendly, instructions where not clear. We asked id they had toothbrushes and we were point out to walk over to the pharmacy, it was the middle of the night and the temperature was 26 degrees. This showed a lack of empathy on behalf of both of the employees checking us in.

The only positive interaction we had was with the night desk attendant, who was courteous and helpful. The room itself was average at best, and the shower floor was visibly dirty. This experience does not align with the standards I’ve come to expect from Hilton properties. Based on this stay, I would not recommend this location and would suggest travelers consider other options where guests are treated with basic respect.

The only positive interaction we had was with the night desk attendant, who was courteous and helpful. The room itself was average at best, and the shower floor was visibly dirty. This experience does not align with the standards I’ve come to expect from Hilton properties. Based on this stay, I would not recommend this location and would suggest travelers consider other options where guests are treated with basic respect.

Well it wasn't the best stay. The WiFi didn't work not once, the DirecTV had limited stations and often had poor connection. No microwave in the rooms, have to wait to use the one in the lobby.

There was only one person to check in and that was annoying being that there was three people ahead of me checking in as well. There was no back up toilet paper in our room. Water pressure in the sink was barely anything and the shower as well. The toilet did not flush unless you flushed it five times literally. Staff was kind and helpful. The rooms are okay, bed is really comfortable but the rooms are quite cold and sterile feeling. The bathroom had a weird crooked vent and wasnt 100% sure when the last thorough deep clean was. Overall acceptable for a short stay to be near the airport.

Room was not clean, toilet at one point stopped working/flushing, and staff were notified multiple times without much interest in intervention. There was one evening manager who finally assisted us and offered us a voucher etc and he was the only person who seemed interested in customer service. Was disappointed with our stay.

Aging hotel. Running toilet both days even after they tried to fix it. Watch out for the extra $12 a day for their surface lot. No reason to pay extra for parking in a location where there is plenty of parking. The parking tag also mentioned that they are not responsible for theft or breaking. Signs were posted all over the parking lot and homeless right across the street. Not impressed.

They put us in the basement with a window that faced a concrete retaining wall, for the parking lot. The room had an obvious leak behind the wall in the bathroom. We could tell there was a leak because of the musty damp smell upon opening the door to the room that became worse as you approached the toilet. The room was clean and spacious however, it did not have a microwave. Breakfast is not complimentary, nothing is except the cookie you receive when checking in if your not a HILTON honors reward member. They are also very strict and directly by the book, as we needed to adjust the days we booked and was unable to so… all in all I have paid the same… or less for a better stay and the complimentary breakfast included elsewhere. Then again I can only speak on MY experience here.

Nice hotel. Very clean. Floor we stayed on could have used better carpet in the hallway. It was in good shape but not glued to the floor and made rolling your suitcase a bit difficult.

Great place to stay. Up-charge of $12 / day for parking is the reason for four stars rather than five. Hidden costs given the advertised price are ridiculous. Still, overall, nice place and staff was courteous and helpful.

So main perk was free shuttle from airport. Call the number given online tell them I need a shuttle it comes out. Takes me to the wrong property. Front desk guy says they'll shuttle me back to airport. Ok cool well let me get the number of the correct property. He gives me the same number I originally called. So decided to take an uber instead. If the same number is for all 4 properties then they should ask for which one do you need the shuttle for. Then when it's time to check out need a shuttle but it's before 7 am so they don't have one at that time. Waited 30 mins for an uber. So that was annoying. Besides that the room was big and comfortable. Nice, clean hotel. That's it, nothing special about it.

For starters there were no wash clothes in the room, secondly I was on the basement floor, the up keep of the room (power outlets, carpet and lighting) were out dated. The TV didn’t work so they switched me to a room on the floor with no iron I am had to ask for an iron. The rooms were similar, it’s okay to have maintenance do regular checks on the room and take care of the things that need to be updated!

We only had one trash can in our room and it was in our bathroom. There was a noticeably brown mark on the wall right by the toilet paper and the toilet paper rubbed against it when rolling. As for the staff they were nice. But the systems were very slow so it was a timely check in.

There are two Doubletree Hotels with Airport Shuttles - This is the one that is further away, and the shuttle only comes once an hour - and even with that, it wasn't reliable. The hotel is somewhat run-down. The service is slow, especially at the front desk. The pool is pretty murky - very blue, but can't see the bottom. Not a particularly pleasant stay, and I would say I am relatively forgiving. I would not recommend this hotel.

Check in took about 20 minutes and there were two employees at the desks in the lobby and one person in front of me. Not sure why it took so long to check in. Upon arriving at my room, it looks like the housekeepers didn’t wipe down the counter surfaces. The TVs are very old. Need to be updated. If you plan on watching tv bring a laptop or use your phone! Also half the outlets did not work and the pillows on one of the beds were stinky. The woman (Kat) working Wednesday august 20th wasn’t very helpful at all. The best thing about the trip was the cookies. The next day we finally got a different room. Same problems. And between switching rooms, someone in housekeeping stole items of mine and the staff didn’t do much to help me get my items back. They asked over a walkie talkie and of course the housekeeper said no they never saw my items. That concluded their investigation. The FOH staff on Thursday the 21st were very kind. But this was one of my personal top 5 worst stays I’ve had at any hotel and I’ve stayed in Charlotte hotels hundreds of times, and many others in other cities but this was just terrible. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless there’s nothing else available. The pool was open but it was green. Very disgusting. Second room we had I had to clean the counters myself again, however we did get another cookie and water. So. That was nice.

Our flight was canceled due to Hurricane Erin; hence, our family ended up at Doubletree. It was approximately 12 minutes from CLT. We were able to book three rooms for the same day. Upon check-in, we were greeted with a warm smile, the check-in process was smooth, and their famous chocolate chip cookies made it feel like home. Rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff friendly. Shuttle service back to CLT was bonus.

We asked for a shuttle to take us to the airport. We were told the bus does not leave that early, and we have to pay for an Uber. This one night cost us an extra 40 US dollars, and the hotel blamed it all on Expedia.

It was a last minute stay due to flight cancellation. We tried to get the shuttle at the airport, but it was full and it was going to be at least 1/2 hour wait for another one. It was late, so we took a taxi instead. When we got to the hotel, it was a little after 11pm and we were starving. The restaurant was closed but they had a mini market next to the lobby with frozen entrees and ramen (plus some snacks). It was VERY expensive. We bought a a couple of frozen pot pies and ramen and brought it up to the room. Turned out there was no microwave in the room, so I had to go back down to the lobby and use the microwave in the mini-mart. I also had to ask for utensils and napkins. The staff was helpful, but I felt like I was being a pain. They had breakfast at the restaurant, but it wasn't included in the rate. It was $20 for a mediocre buffet. The hotel was nice, but it cost more than I expected.

To no fault of the hotel I wouldn't recommend walking past the stoplight nearby. Saw a few panhandlers at the stoplight nearby at both sides. Daytime I think is ok but I'd be careful after dark. The hotel itself is pretty good though.

It was in an area with several restaurants within walking distance. My room smelled like a pack of cigarettes. I didnt mention it to the staff but i felt like they would have tried to accommodate me. I was just in a rush to get to an event. The bed was comfy, and staff were nice, room was clean.

Everything was great until it was time to catch the shuttle to the airport. The driver of the shuttle asked me to catch a ride share because several Spirit employees, who were late to the shuttle, also needed a ride to the airport. I refused to leave my seat. We eventually left 9 minutes late causing me anxiety that I would miss my flight.

Did know that the pool was under construction and I booked less than a month before my trip. They didn’t have the free breakfast. You had to pay a fee just to have your car parked there even though you are staying there which I think is crazy. No feee WiFi and the rooms are dirty I would stay away for there.

Stayed here for one night after driving from VA for early morning flight the next day. Hotel and room were nice. Bed was a little hard for my liking. Toilet hardly flushed. Called the front desk and told them it probably needed to be plunged. They said they were sending someone up, but never came. The toilet also moved as you sat down. Water gets hot in the shower, but no water pressure. They also charge $12 for parking which is ridiculous. I wouldn't have stayed here if I saw this. It's just a surface lot.

Well we checked in here after being told by another the pool was closed indefinitely. Was told the pool was not open but would be during our stay. The pool was torn up and wasn't worked on until we checked out. The first room they put us in was flooded. Btw next to the gym so that's closed ..the breakfast was coffee because they must be trying to push the restaurant. The staff was awesome. Went out of there way got us in a new room great

False advertising about airport shuttle. Does Not run 24/7 so if you need it past 10 o’clock you won’t get picked up. They give you whatever room they want not what you pay for. Bad service, under construction and false advertising. Wont go back and don’t recommend.

The room fan for AC was noisy, cracked tile and hollow sounding tile when walking on it in bathroom when walking on it, staff was great, great location for dining places close and dining in hotel even though I did not utilize dining area in the hotel, pool area was in demolition under construction clean rooms wonderful helpful staff meant a lot. Overall great stay comfortable bed and clean.

The hotel is nice enough but do not expect what you see in the pictures on Expedia. The pool is not available and is in serious disrepair. The courtyard by the pool is dirty and in disrepair as well. You have to pay extra for parking and there is a cop camera in the parking lot which is sketchy. I will not stay here again.
