Disappointing

Just needed a cheap place to stay for the night while traveling. It was a great value. To be honest it was in a sketchy area, but everything went fine.

The management personnel is very friendly and helpful..we definitely recommend this place 👌 👍 😀

I was very impressed by this property. My first impression was a genuinely pleasant gentleman who greeted me at the front desk. The property on the outside was well maintained. When I entered the room, everything was spotless. My rate was $65 per night. I thought it was too good to be true. However, it allowed me the opportunity to visit with my family for two nights instead of one. I usually stay at another property that cost more than two nights here for one night. For this stay, I was on a strict budget and was grateful to be able to stay in a safe, clean location. I would stay here again. It is evident that whoever owns this property has made quite an investment on upgrades, including wood flooring. Don’t judge a book because it doesn’t have a luxury brand name. This is a nice place with a great price.

We checked in, then left immediately upon seeing the room. It was nothing like the photos. It was grungy and poorly maintained. My daughter heard scratching on one side of the room. It is VERY noisy - you can hear every step when someone walks by. It has an extremely weird smell. Not sure if it’s cleaning products or what. The uber driver that picked us up said that it’s a pretty unsafe location. We were fortunate that we had the option to stay somewhere else. There are other hotels nearby that aren’t much more expensive but are a lot nicer.

The people at the hotel were awesome but the Lyft drivers were awful. Be careful in this city with your rides.. the hotel was fine!

The room I had was very clean not dirty. The man and woman are rude dismissive. I stayed for a week and was packing up my belongings my friend came to help we left the room at 11:10 and they said I couldn’t get my deposit back cause we took TEN MINUTES to leave the room. On the way out I had to argue with a crackhead! There are random homeless addicts that walk around all times of the night. It’s sugar creek IYKYK

Continental Inn is a lovely place to stay. I give it five stars.

Heating & A/C worked fine. Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful & friendly.

The bed was hard as were the pillows. The furnace was very loud. We did not sleep well. The coffee pot did not work. The "breakfast" was so sparse that I did not see anyone eating. We also passed on it. The office doors are always locked probably due to all the homeless in the area. I suggest that you do not stay here and find another alternative.

The mattress had a protector, and the bed was thoughtfully made with a fitted sheet, top sheet, blanket, and an extra sheet on top—such a nice and hygienic touch. I also appreciated seeing the housekeeping staff cleaning the windows and doors of each room. It’s clear they take pride in keeping everything well cared for.

It's not fancy, but when am you need is a bed for the night it's whatever. The front desk was so so nice. The room was clean. It was great. No complaints.

The area didn't seem like the best (although it was close to where I needed to be), and some of the policies and signage made it seem like they'd been having a lot of issues with guests damaging the facilities. The website listed I think a $40 or $50 cash deposit that would be returned at check out if no damages had been done, while the front door listed maybe a $30 cash damages deposit, and ultimately the manager didn't charge me any deposit or even mention it at check in. Not sure if that was racial profiling (single white female traveler) or just outdated signage. It was all a bit weird, but ultimately I felt pretty safe staying here.

We found this room on trivago for 60 dollars they charged our card 80 and said we would get our deposit back the next morning. They would not give us our deposit back because they said we didn't pay it in cash. It doesn't matter how you pay a deposit if you leave the room the way you found it you should get your deposit back. Not to mention, the motel is in the highest crime area in Charlotte.

The rooms were cheap and really nice for the price. We went to a concert and didn't need to spend a lot on an expensive hotel. I was very satisfied with my stay there. The info you get on the site about the rooms is correct.

Continental breakfast hours could have been longer, check out at 11, so slept in till 9:30, but breakfast hours were over at that time.

The front desk staff was amazing! The room was on point! It was very clean and well furnished the shower was nice and big the toilet was handicapped friendly. The room was beautiful everything about it was just amazing I will definitely be returning again!

Once you walk through the first set of doors at the entrance, the second set of doors leading to the lobby/breakfast area is blocked off (no free breakfast, fyi) probably due to covid, so you check in and out through the a window right there. There was a sign saying the front desk person was away and will be back in 10 minutes, so we waited in the parking lot for about 25 mins (we arrived earlier than our check-in time), came back, and no one was there. The front desk person walks around the 1st and 2nd floors of the hotel, but I guess he noticed we walked in, so he came down quickly. Check-in was quick and easy. Room was pleasant and clean, but a little noisy outside since the hotel is right beside a busy street, and our room was the closest one to the front/check-in section, ice machine, and vending machines, so a lot of people passed by. That wasn't an issue for us though since we were only there to sleep for a few hours after a concert. Check-out was also quick and easy. We would stay there again

This hotel is conveniently located and easy to find and access. This hotel is due for an renovation. Right now it is a bit ‘tired’, but is a economical place to stay.

Hotel was close to an intersection of Interstate and was a major traffic area for the college nearby. There was quite a bit of road noise from the highway/street throughout the night. There was also several (at least one per hour) instances of sirens going by through the night. On the flip side, the attendant was very helpful and friendly.

check in was quick and the room was clean, the Belgian waffle maker was pretty awesome in the morning. For the price it was really convenient as a stop through between DC and Atlanta. Everybody who worked there was really nice too!

Perfect affordable clean room for a working weekend. Staff is kind. I thoroughly enjoyed my hot shower. For anyone gluten-free, there were fresh crisp apples and clementines at breakfast. Note: you will hear traffic and sirens from the busy street.

You get your money's worth with this property. What it lacks in amenities it make up in cleanliness, even the carpet is spotless. Comfortable bed and good pillows. Its very quiet, except the occasional police car siren driving by, it's not the best part of town, but the property is fenced in and looks and feels safe. It's also next to I85 if getting around town its important.

My room.keys wouldnt work after first use. Had to keep going multiple times to get keys. Within 2 days i had 4 sets of room.keys. microwave didnt work. Reported 3times and never was replaced or addressed

The air conditioner is old and does not blow out cold air making for a very uncomfortable one night stay in 94 degree weather. The room is not updated or clean. I felt a bit misled by the other reviews for this property. Location is far from airport with not many choices of food around. The neighborhood is not good for a pleasant stay.

It’s time for new ones. I would come back.

When I got there after traveling 7 hours by night the person at the front desk was extremely rude. It was a mistake in the reservation name ( my name instead of my sister ) & even though she was also staying at the hotel, he wouldn’t allow us to get the room until I called Expedia to change the name of the booking because I’m 2 months short of 21. By this time it is 1am and it’s less than 30 degrees outside ( the lobby was locked and they were talking to us through a window ) after finally getting in touch with Expedia he proceeded to ignore us for 10 minutes after we repeatedly tried to talk to him. Him & his coworker was EXTREMELY rude.

It was a one day trip to Charlotte. This place is all about location. Very close to any place you would want to go and was clean.

I booked my reservation online with Hotels.com with no problem. I get to the hotel and the agent tries to charge me again saying my room wasn’t paid for. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Hotels.com to get it straightened out.

I booked my reservation online with Hotels.com with no problem. I get to the hotel and the agent tries to charge me again saying my room wasn’t paid for. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Hotels.com to get it straightened out.

It was good for the price. Old bathroom features, no towel racks , noisy people outside ,no entry door chain , minimal breakfast items and the front desk receptionist watching to make sure you don't take any food out. It served its purpose.

It was like checking into a prison. I showed up a little after 7 PM and the lobby was closed and dark. I had to stand trapped between the entrance doors and the locked lobby doors and check in thru a bank tellers type window with a hole in the bottom to put my ID in. Also, the lady checking me in was Indian and had a strong accent. It was extra difficult trying to understand what she was saying thru the glass and that tiny hole in the bottom. Other then the incredibly wonderful welcoming experience of checking in, the room smelled a little and was blah. One positive, the fridge would chill my drinks pretty quickly. Oh, and the free breakfast was like waffles and cereal. I was not interested in it. If you are looking for a cheap room then this may be your place, but I won’t be staying there again.

I was overcharged For my room by for a bit and then had a very difficult time with the staff at the hotel. There were no lids for the coffee cups and when I went to put creamer in my coffee it was spoiled. I was traveling back-and-forth for an event for the weekend and I couldn’t get into my room when my key card stopped working.

There was a smell of smoke in my nonsmoking room. The bathroom is clean. The service is fine. Best bang for buck in the area.

I'm ok with the surrounding area but only cause I was raised in the bronx. It might not be suitable for others but I was ok

Although the overall stay was great, the front desk is great but for some reason my room's AC didn't work, but it wasn't much of a problem since it was already cold.

The room was good. Bathroom and shower were good. I've stayed there twice so far and the price is reasonable.

The area is drug ridden with prostitution.

The room was clean. There was light coming in through the gap in door. Very, very noisy. Bad part of town. And don’t even bother with continental breakfast.

They put us in the wrong room at first. Service was slow and employees seemed rude.

We got kicked out of a non smoking room because the maid smelled smoke but neither do I nor my boyfriend smoke and we continuously told the lady we werent smoking but she didnt believe us. Kicked us out and charged with $150 fee!!!

Convenient location for interstate travel. Facility is well kept, room was clean and breakfast was better than ok. Great value. Would stay there again when in Charlotte.

Room is nice, clean and comfortable. great breakfast ...easy access to freeway, and mini mart and fast food( good fast food) hotel entry from street can be a bit of a hassle but great rates and co.fort a real value...

It was convenient for our needs and when there was a mix-up about the reservation--something that was in no way their fault--they helped address it patiently, quickly and professionally.

The property was in a very unsafe and unsettling area with military police needing to be at a mart next door. There were prostitution at the motel and some tried to offer me their services. Of course I denied and was afraid while in the room and did not know ir my car would be Broken into at night or if I had to come out would I face someone in danger.

The Super 8 at Wyndam in California, MD could take some lessons from this hotel. It was nice and updated and the bedding did not have holes in the blankets. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to friends.

AC was broke when we got there. Didn't take long for them to fix it. Staff was very friendly and the convenience of things around were great. The people hanging around the hotel were sketchy. Could use a face lift and some deep cleaning.
