The room and amenities on property were fantastic; staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had many choices and I especially enjoyed the noon checkout.

Absolutely loved this stay in downtown Charleston. Perfect location to restaurants and shopping. The afternoon tea at Camelia’s and the rooftop pool really sets this 5 star property apart from the others. 10 out of 10 stay.

The doorman service was exceptional. The room had lovely amenities along with enough water bottles and coffee pods added every night without asking for it.

Hotel Bennett is unbelievable. It had been awhile since we had stayed here and I thought things might show some wear. I was wrong. Everything was fresh and absolutely awesome. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. When you stay at a luxury hotel, you expect this kind of environment. You rarely do today but the Bennett delivers.

The hotel is beautiful, very elegant and relaxing. The entire staff is amazing. For a top notch luxury experience I would have a hard time finding anything better. The King’s club is awesome and serves food and drinks throughout the day. Thank all of you for making our 50th wedding anniversary so special!

room was not cleaned. At 11:45pm, the smoke alarm weak battery signal starting chirping and waking us up. It was fixed. At 7am our curtains automatically opened and woke us up, depriving us of 1-2 hours more sleep. The hotel seems to be slipping some since it was sold.

Door men were especially helpful with assistance and any required information. They are the face of the hotel and critical to a lasting impression. We were not told that the room card key was necessary to activate the elevators on the first floor. Additionally, we encountered two other groups of guests that also were not aware until we explained the need for the card key.

Beautiful property and excellent service. Be aware, if you book with breakfast as part of your fare, you will only be credited $30 per person for in-room dining and will be billed the difference. This was not clearly disclosed.

We afre coming every 4 months for health care purposes. We love the location, the cleanliness but welove more the staff and the decoration that none other establishment was able to offer us.

This might be new favorite hotel. It is so charming, so elegant, so well-appointed--my 16 year-old daughter and I had the BEST time. I can't wait to come back.

We enjoyed breakfast in the lobby restaurant Gabrielle and happy hour drinks at the rooftop bar. Our kids liked the rooftop pool though it is pretty small/shallow. The service at Gabrielle was slow but they apologized for being short-staffed.

The spa was warm and welcoming. There was three of us in our group. We are not new to Charleston and we have done that before this is our first experience at the hotel Bennett. Beautiful property welcoming at their valet and luggage were exceptional. We visited the spa and as it was wonderful, it wasn’t exceptional for the price. I have been to the Charleston place and have spoke about it for many many years. Decided to try something new and did not meet my expectations. Not that they did not care, but it was not 100% the quality that I have received at the Charleston place. That being said the hotel is beautiful concierge, the guest services exceptional, it was a spa that I found lacking. For all the experience gets an eight out of 10. The reason I read it this way it’s because at 1:30 in the morning. I imagine it was the wedding party or something along those lines, got sick outside of our room played loud music and was a little boisterous. But all in all we had a very good experience at the hotel Bennett.

Everyone we interacted with was kind, attentive, and eager to help. The staff had excellent knowledge of the local area and gave great recommendations for places to visit and things to do around Charleston. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the spa. I booked a massage and it was fantastic, relaxing, professional, and exactly what I needed after a day of exploring the city. Overall, the hospitality, beautiful property, and exceptional service made our stay memorable. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Bennett to anyone visiting Charleston.

I usually comment when I'm on vacation, "There's no place like home." But, not this time. Hotel Bennett exceeded my expectations from the moment I stepped through the door. Every staff person I encountered was professional, mannerly, and showered my daughter and I with an abundance of Southern hospitality. I immediately felt at home. All the amenities were first class. I was pleasantly surprised to see the room attendants did a turn down each night and left a sweet treat on the pillows. The linens are high quality and perfectly white and crisp. We also enjoyed breakfast at Virginia's on King and the roof top lounge for lunch. No disappointment at either restaurant as the food arrived hot, fresh, and plentiful. I can't say enough about how impressed we were. If I ever travel to Charleston again, the Hotel Bennett is my must stay location. I do wish the Hotel had been designed with a larger pool deck area. Ten available chairs for guests, not counting the cabanas, simply fall short for the number of guests anticipating to lounge at the pool.

The hotel pool manager Delton was rude and clearly more interested in going home as he closed the pool on multiple occasions for the day in early afternoon even though it was only a little cloudy and didn’t even rain.

The hotel has complimentary umbrellas by the front door, which comes in handy for a pop up shower and some shade! The hotel was very conveniently located, within walking distance of almost everything. I only have a few things of note. First, our view was of the building next door. Nothing to see. (Room 541) Second, everything is expensive. Most cocktails in restaurants are about $16, but in the hotel most are $21. But they are very good cocktails with a very lovely environment to sit and relax. Third, parking is expensive! They charge more than Disney. Also, the pool is lovely, but it is small, accommodating only about 24 people unless you want to stand in the pool or pay extra for a very expensive cabana. Go early, before 11 to get a seat. We tried to go another time and every single seat was taken. Finally, the staff door on the fifth floor is loud, and the staff repeatedly let the door slam over and over and over, early and late.

We had the absolute, most wonderful and accommodating stay at Hotel Bennett during my daughter's orientation at CofC! From the moment we walked through the front door, until we checked out of our room, we were greeted and welcomed daily with the southern charm and hospitality that we love and appreciate most about the Holy City. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of several amazing restaurants and shops. Our particular room was extremely pristine, serene, and very relaxing. There was a desk conveniently placed in front of the window overlooking King Street so that my husband had a wonderful view while he worked remotely. A must if you stay- La Patisserie was such a lovely, delicious and convenient stop as we were on a tight schedule in the mornings and for lunch. I can not rave about our stay enough. It was exquisite.

It’s conveniently located within walking distance of several amazing restaurants and shops. Our particular room was extremely pristine, serene, and very relaxing. There was a desk conveniently placed in front of the window overlooking King Street so that my husband had a wonderful view while he worked remotely. A must if you stay- La Patisserie was such a lovely, delicious and convenient stop as we were on a tight schedule in the mornings and for lunch. I can not rave about our stay enough. Five star hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Hotel is walking distance to all shopping and most restaurants. Uber is super quick if your getting out tour other areas as well.

No complimentary coffee service in the hotel. The front desk staff was poor, bellmen were great. Having stayed at Charleston Place, the Vendue and the Bohemian, I would stay at any of those before I would stay at The Bennet again.

We travel internationally and enjoy luxury boutique hotels. Pro: Luxury hotel with wonderful hotel staff! We loved everything about it...the room, our view, the turn-down service, food, amenities, location, and more. Improvements Needed: The gym needs some updating (one treadmill works), the rooftop has a great view however, we were overlooked numerous times our first night, did not return. The pool is nice but grab a chair early, there is no vibe (bring your own music) but the drinks are great. Our favorite restaurant (for locals) was Bistronomy by Nico.

From the moment we arrived we were treated very special. The service and hospitality of every single employee was impeccable. The food options and bar service was excellent. The rooms were clean, made up and turned down every day. They even replaced partial toilet paper rolls!! Amazing stay. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!

This hotel is stunning!! I was there with my daughter and daughter-in-love and it was perfect for our girl’s trip! La Patisserie was so convenient for morning coffee and pastries. Camellias is a bougie pink cocktail bar that also serves afternoon tea! We enjoyed both of these on site treasures. The rooms are gorgeous, very quiet and comfortable! Highly recommend!

We had 3 rooms, 2 of the 3 had no AC, after a terrible night they “fixed” them. For what this place cost, throttling the ac units should not be a thing.

Location, staff very friendly, food delicious, options for dining great! Room beautiful, bed extremely comfortable! If I have 1 negative it is parking! Had to park across the street for more affordable parking. Otherwise awesome place to stay!

While having a couple of relaxing drinks sitting downstairs in Gabrielle's a woman sitting at the bar had a dog with her that starting barking loudly every time someone walked by. It was on a leash but free to roam the length of the leash getting under other customer's bar stools. It didn't sit well with us and several other customers. Your manager did talk to her about it but I think your policy needs to change. I don't care for animals at all in hotels or restaurants. I know you're pet friendly but you need to draw the line such that no animals are allowed anywhere where there is food or drink. I won't be staying at the Hotel Bennett until there are changes made. This is a wonderful property and the service is top notch. The rooms are spacious and quiet.

From the second we arrived, customer service was spot on. Multiple reps were extremely helping in providing very accurate information we needed to make our trip even better. Will definitely return soon and stay here again.

Luxurious hotel oozing southern comfort. Loved this hotel. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I just wish the hotel was a bit more environmentally conscious- way too much single use plastic and no recycling in the room.

The service and hotel was top notch. Left my phone in the room. They mailed the phone to my home in Chicago. I recieved it in a couple of days.

My wife and I stayed here for my Citadel 15 year homecoming. The overall experience was amazing. The staff were super nice. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to experience all of Charleston charm.
