Great location

This is a great hotel. Clean, well appointed and staff is well trained and helpful. Daily breakfast ans wine a cheese are a nice added touch. I’ve stayed here a number of times. Only issue is the noise from air conditioning. Makes sleeping difficult. If that could corrected it would be prefect.

Perfect location

If you want a place to stay that is right in the middle of the action in Charleston, this is the place for you! We did a girls weekend, and did not use a car once! We were able to walk to all the shops, restaurants, bars, landmarks etc! But the icing on the cake… the rooftop where you can sit by fire pits at night or have your breakfast there in the morning! An amazing place and will be the only place we will stay when we come to Charleston!

My daughter & I stayed 4 nights & loved it! Hotel location was right across from river park & walkable to everything. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Included breakfast delivered our room was amazing. Charleston is beautiful & we felt very safe walking around. Would definitely stay here again.

We had the best time on our girls trip. The rooms are huge and we absolutley loved the breakfast each morning. Either delivered to the room or delivered to the rooftop. Happy hour and cookies and milk were a perfect touch. The staff was super helpful and accomodating. Super Clean, great rooftop and beautiful facility!

This was a beautiful property and the staff was amazing. Great water view, large room, comfortable bed, and a wonderful shower. The stay came with breakfast that was delivered to the room in the morning. Plan on coming back and staying again and have already to others that are booked for next month.

Felt awkward to be having breakfast right outside people’s rooms and the tables were limited as it was too hot to go up and eat on roof top. Its location to every place you wanted to go The cleaning lady never cleaned the floor in bathroom, never cleaned the tub (I put something on the edge of tub) she never saw it and it was there when we got back later that day. Never changed our bed sheets and never vacuumed the room.

The hotel is in a great, convenient location to restaurants in downtown Charleston. The room was very comfortable. Fun happy hour with drinks and snacks. Breakfast in the room was a nice, convenient benefit. Parking was smooth.

Excellent location, extras on offer such as free breakfast, wine and nibbles happy hour, free bottle water Would have been nice to have a proper bar! You can order drinks to your room or communal areas but a bar would have been better and a restaurant if you didn’t want to eat out.

The only downside is there is no dining facility. They do provide free room service for breakfast.

We loved our stay at the Harborview Inn. We were there for Mother’s Day weekend. The staff was great, having breakfast included was a big plus, and the room was large, clean and had amazing water views. It was close to everything. Just walk out side and you have waterviews and cvs walk to the batter, rainbow row, city market and King st..etc.. We walked to all of our destinations, the entire weekend. We have an electric car, they had a charger so we didn't have to stop on the way to Charleston or on the way home. It was a big time saver. I would recommend this to all of my friends.. we would stay there again..

This hotel goes above and beyond. They offer a free historical tour guide on Monday and Wednesday evening. Their evening charcuterie & wine and cookies & milk were wonderful. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful.

Great location and cozy feel of this boutique hotel. Nice happy hour and breakfast despite the fact there is no restaurant on site. You order breakfast the night before and specify time and place (room, lobby or terrace) for it to be delivered. Options abound in the area for lunch and dinner. Great staff from valets to front desk to room service.

The morning breakfast served in the room or terrace is a great feature. Wine and cheese and 5 pm and milk and biscuits at 9 pm are fabulous features. Valet and bell staff is warm And courteous. Will Certainly be coming back here to Stay. Thank you.

We really enjoyed the rooftop terrace with a beautiful water view and the nearby peer. The complementary to-order breakfast was delicious and the wine down-hour with antipasto spreed was just perfect for the early evening, after exploring a beautiful city and all it has to offer. We also appreciate access to teas and cookies in the evenings and fresh fruit always available in one of the common areas. We had the most wonderful stay and plan to returning again the next year and bringing some of our family with us! We highly recommend this property to anyone who plans to visit Charleston!

This property is in need of a refresh. The location near the harbor is nice, but the hotel is quite dated and shabby. There is a strong smell of deoderizer throughout. We were offered a room with a pullout couch and when we arrived, it was a rollaway cot that was clearly decades old. We checked out.

One of the best places we have ever stayed and the staff was wonderful. The room was immaculate and surrounding area was gorgeous!

What really stood out was the staff—they were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home the entire time. The little touches throughout our stay made it even more special. We loved having breakfast delivered right to our room each morning, and the complimentary offerings were such a nice bonus—soft beverages, daily wine and cheese, and even cookies and milk at night. Everything about this stay felt thoughtful and relaxing. It was the perfect spot for a getaway with friends, and we would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

We’ve stayed here several times and always have a great experience. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and the service is great. They bring breakfast to your room, they have wine and cheese from 5-6, cookies at 9, the staff is friendly, valet parking is convenient. We like everything about this hotel!

We loved staying at the Harborview Inn! While it’s an older hotel, it has absolute charm with beautiful views. The rooms are adorable and very spacious. The staff has also really amazing and I could not have asked for a better trip.

Fabulous place to stay - would highly recommend! Great location- views of the bay and conveniently located near wonderful restaurants and things to do. Very walkable location but valet service was quick and easy with our rental car. Daily happy hour was fun with wine and significant appetizers- lots of fun common areas, including a rooftop patio with fire pits, to sit and enjoy. Daily breakfast included- you select what you want and where you want it delivered the night before (including the time) and they call right before delivering to let you know they are on their way. Facilities felt very new / updated, clean and comfortable. Iced tea, lemonade and water available complementary all day. Easy check in process and got us in a room as soon as they had one ready. Staff was all super friendly, helpful and responsive. I would definitely stay there again!

Some of the front desk staff were not as kind as others. One night happy hour staff poured wine and was snide about leaving a tip. First night we poured wine and there was no tip jar. Interesting.

The room was clean with great views of the Harbor. Free room service of the complimentary breakfast to our room was a treat that we were not expecting, so that was a nice surprise! Daily housekeeping is almost extinct at most hotels these days but is still alive and well here. The car valet service was efficient and our car was always waiting for us by the time we took the elevator to the ground floor. Nice to know our vehicle was secure in their own garage.

Great staff but room and property cleanliness need improvement. Stains and hair were found as examples. Balcony door didn’t lock and the door seal must have been compromised because it let in a lot of sound.

Close to all activities around Charleston We were both covered with bites. Hoping it was from being outside? No wifi. We heard multiple guests complaining.

We had a great stay at Harborview! The location is great. Only a few minute walk to the Pineapple Fountain and Rainbow Row. Easy to get to The Charleston Market. There are lots of fantastic restaurants in walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. Would definitely book here again.

Only real complaint was the mattress was very old. Both sides of the bed had big holes in them resulting in a peak in the middle. Not ideal for sleeping with two people. As the sleep quality is the most important part of a hotel, I wouldn’t stay here again. Hopefully other mattresses are better.

I hate to say it but we were quite disappointed with the food in the area other than the Fleet Landing. The sidewalks were HORRIBLE as my handicapped wife could only take her mobility device on the streets. The water near the pier had a horrible methane gas smell and the pier smelled from deisel fumes from the passing ships. The aquarium was a waste of time and money. When it rains the streets flood. What happens as global warming continues and the oceans continue to rise ?

The location of the property was perfect-close to restaurants, shopping and availability of tour options. The room was clean, spacious and had a great view of the water. Breakfast was included with the room and provided both hot and warm items which you could choose to have delivered to your room, eat on the roof top or in the atrium. A hearty appetizer spread with wine was offered every day from 5- 6 PM and cookies in the evening from 9-10 PM. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I would have appreciated that parking be included with our stay instead of a separate price of $42 a day. Overall, it was a great hotel.

We booked a one night stay for our 20th wedding anniversary. The staff and accommodations couldn’t be better. They even had a complimentary bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us in our room. Our overall experience was perfect and we will be back again very soon

Our stay was amazing! We went for a girls trip and our room had plenty of room for the 4 of us to stay together. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. This quaint 52 rum hotel is ideally located in downtown Charleston. It’s walking distance from all the major shopping. It’s great restaurants. The staff is incredible. Everyone was as professional, thoughtful, and very helpful. Their complementary breakfast, wine and cheese, cookies, and milk, just her icing on the cake.

The location was ideal, the property was extremely clean, and all staff were extremely friendly and welcoming!

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. My bed was extremely uncomfortable. Very soft on one side with a hump in the middle. There were bleach stains on a chair and on a blanket. The arms of one of the chairs was very badly soiled, and there was a smudge on my headboard. Water pressure was not good . We were also not aware of renovations that were going on on the first floor, and the elevator did not work for most of our stay. though I was offered another room, I declined as I was only staying 2 nights and it was a hassle to move. The valet and bus boys were extremely helpful and so nice though.

Great location!

One of the best hotels we stayed at in our 5.5 month 16000 mile tour of the USA. The wine and cheese plus a welcome bottle of wine just added the finishing touches to the lovely room overlooking the harbour. Only slight thing was the flacky WIFI. 80% of USA hotels we used suffer with this issue. With international travellers this is a key need due to roaming cost on mobiles.

Updated Shower didn’t drain , yet had to wait to tell Front desk at check out.

This was an excellent place to stay, highly recommend. The breakfast choices were great, service and atmosphere couldn’t have been better. And surprise bonus, they have bikes with baskets you can borrow and ride all thru the French Quarter.

Wonderful stay at this lovely boutique hotel with comfortable gathering areas that we enjoyed. Very attentive staff providing excellent service and nice amenities, especially the wine hour each afternoon and breakfast in our room. It’s near a beautiful waterfront park providing harbor views and pleasant walks. We could easily walk to restaurants, shopping, and the historic neighborhood streets. With so many positives, it was easy to forget about the construction site across the street.

When we arrived, they had a cake and card from the staff for my daughter's 15th birthday, which was one of the best cakes we've ever had. Come to find out, it was a lemon pistachio cake from Carmella's which I highly recommend going there if you're in Charleston. Thr hotel had great breakfast options, wine and charcuterie type snacks from 5-6 daily, cookies and milk at 9 at nightly. Prompt valet. Very clean and comfortable room. Highly recommend!

The hotels view and ambiance was amazing. The convenience to what we wanted to visit and see was perfect for us. Seems there were some hiccups with things promised, a constant vibration coming through the wall and a shower issue (which was resolved quick). Definitely worth the stay in my opinion

We had a wonderful time staying at the Harbourview Inn on our first visit to Charleston. The Inn is in a perfect location for walking historic Charleston. It’s easy to navigate the streets and there are many good restaurants within walking distance. Our room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size as well as the shower. The happy hour food and beverage offering was perfect for satisfying our appetite before dinner. A nice surprise was having the complimentary breakfast delivered to the room in the morning. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the rooftop lounge area but it looked inviting. There isn’t a bar though but you can BYOB. The Inn was relaxing overall and I highly recommend this place.

Very nice property right on the harbor close to all the restaurants and attractions of downtown Charleston. There is a public park just to the outside of the hotel toward the harbor where people can get a little loud in the evening. I realized on our last night there is what appears to be a white noise machine in the room. Honestly, the noise was not much of an issue. The room itself was large and comfortable, breakfast served in the room is a treat, and the staff is amazing. We will be back!

We had a terrific stay to celebrate twin birthdays. From arrival thru departure, the staff treated us like guests in their homes. Doug and Don helped us check in early and get settled, & then we were delighted with a bottle of birthday bubbles from Kierah(?) and front desk team. GREAT start! We’ve stayed at many of Charleston’s high-end properties & Harbourview Inn stands out for its superb location and comfort. Located steps from Waterfront Park, we enjoyed sunrises on the pier and short walks to Meeting and King streets and South of Broad. The rooftop terrace is roomy and perfect for sunsets. Complimentary breakfasts and happy hours were generous & served by friendly staff members. We plan to make Charleston and Harbourview Inn our birthday destination spot and highly recommend it to others!

Very nice hotel with great amenities. Good location by the water and restaurants. We were able to check in early. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the loud, clicking a/c in the room. The room did have a white noise machine though to block out the sound.

Spectacular! An absolutely beautiful hotel with very large, luxurious rooms. Awesome complementary room service breakfast. And we loved the wine and cheese happy hour and the nighttime cookies and milk, both of which are also complementary! Our room had a waterfront view, which was also such a treat. It was an incredibly relaxing and luxurious place to stay!

Everything was perfect especially the 10:00pm chocolate chips cookies and M&Ms while talking with some other wonderful guests.

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good location in the historic center of Charleston but there is ongoing construction work on two sides of the hotel. Sadly the wonderful view of the harbor is now significantly obscured by a massive new hotel in front of the HarborView Inn.

The staff are warm, friendly, and most helpful. The amenities of wine and cheese in late afternoon and then warm baked cookies with milk later in the evening are delicious inclusions that can be enjoyed in front of an inviting fire place during the winter season.

The property is a renovated historic building with all the modern amenities. The staff is very helpful and accomodating. The location is challenging at certain times due to extensive construction in the area

The staff was impeccable. At the last minute, I realized that I had booked the wrong days and had no where to stay the first night. I called the hotel and was treated extremely well and they helped without overpricing for the last minute room. Even though I loved the property, I'd go back for the staff alone.
