Great staff. Clean room. Complimentary breakfast Unknown separate fee of valet parking mandatory to park at the hotel. Give the customer a heads up. Seemed cheap not being a 5 star hotel. Make sure to close your curtains. People next door can see in.

The 35$ per night Valet only parking on an open-air lot which is 10 feet away from the entrance is not only unnecessary, but aggravating. That was the key disadvantage and a considerable addition to the total price.

The front desk staff were really nice. I appreciated the warm welcome and smiles. The parking attendant was very helpful. The room was fairly clean. The conditioner was completely out in the shower. The ac didn’t seem to cool off to the temp we wanted. When I went down to the front around 9 pm after a long day at the hospital I was alarmed to hear that another customer had bed bugs in the room. Being unsettled I checked my bed and didn’t see anything but didn’t know what to look for. I could not sleep that night thinking about bugs. I then resorted to sleeping in the hospital the following night. Although staff was nice I would not stay there again. Also was told one price for the mandatory valet service and then charged more. I did resolve this with the hotel staff. I would rather a total refund for the stay due to sleepless nights worrying about bed bugs.

The hotel is exactly what we wanted for our stay: clean, quiet, nice breakfast and not too far from our activities. Coffee is set up all day which is very helpful. However, one drawback is that you have to use valet parking. It was very chilly outside and we could easily walk to our car, but instead we had to wait in the cold for 5-10 minutes waiting for it. I am not sure why the hotel requires valet parking. I don’t mind paying for parking but I’d like the option of keeping my keys and using the car as needed. We literally did not return to the hotel mid afternoon because we’d have to go through the process of waiting for our car when we wanted to leave again.

The breakfast wasn’t tasty and they never had coffee ready. The power went out at one point and the staff was just standing around instead of calling someone. They just never put the breakfast out, even when the power came back on. The valet guys were good but everyone else was lacking in the service dept. There was hair in the shower before I got there, and they never replenished the soap or one makeup wipe.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only dining is the breakfast which left quite a bit to be desired. The Carte bus system is right outside the bldg. but you cannot depend on it if you need to make a timed reservation. This Comfort Inn— transitioning into a Fairfield Inn, Mariott is just fine. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and by far the best thing about it, a friendly, welcoming staff. No complaints—but if you are there to see downtown and the French Quarter, you’ll have to walk. Not much more than a mile, but just so you know. For the price, no doubt I would stay again. But I am partying elsewhere!

The property was good for the price. Some of my ratings are due to the parking situation and breakfast options. They are switching ownership and are redoing the parking lot which made parking inconvenient and it smelled horrible outside due to it. The breakfast options weren’t the best either. Other than that, it was a great stay and the staff were super friendly and amazing. The rooms were clean and everything else was great!

We ate our ice cream and enjoyed the history of the architecture on the walk back.

Location of property. Very close to the busy area but not right in the middle of it. Shower was nice. The building was undergoing renovations. There was no communication about this prior to arrival. Floors were torn up, walls were stripped, and elevators were not even framed out. Hallway to room (on a floor that was supposed to be finished) was dirty. You could see the dirt and other construction materials on the floor. Room was equally as dirty. I left my shoes on because it needed vacuuming so badly. Breakfast was grab and go because of renovations; however, the mini fridge that was holding the yogurt had water standing in it. I'm sure it will be beautiful once it is finished; however, the building should be closed during renovations. Unless, accomodations are made for guests. Meaning, discounted pricing, communication on what the guests are going to be walking into, cleanliness prioritized on guest floors, etc.

Since it was already late, I had no choice but to stay. The hotel offered no meaningful solution or compensation for the downgrade, and I was left paying for a room type I never received. To make matters worse, they provided an extra mattress as a substitute for the missing sofa bed—and later charged me for it. The staff was not polite or helpful, which made an already frustrating experience even worse. I will not be returning to this property and strongly advise others to double-check their reservations and be prepared for poor service and follow-through.

Our room was great. The first room they put us in the ac wasn't working well, but they moved us to another room. Parking was a little tricky but they let us park in valet when there weren't any parking spaces left. The only let down was they were remodeling and the gym and pool were closed. Absolutely gutted property. There was no warning that the entire hotel would be under contraction with open nails, men in cranes looking into your windows, extremely loud construction sounds. the lobby is absolutely atrocious and they should not be taking guests.

Hotel is under construction and should not be still hosting guests. Elevator is deconstructed with exposed wires. Front door was locked when we arrived, after 10 minutes of searching we eventually found a side door to enter but had to walk over wood, cardboard, and cones to access the side door. After informing the employees about the locked door, we were yet again locked outside for 10 minutes. The employees seemed to not care. I asked to confirm there were employees at the front desk 24/7, they said yes. Yet when I went to check out in the morning there were no employees anywhere - so I just left.

This property is under total construction, only one floor was open. They do not disclose this anywhere online. We thought the property was close when we arrived. Construction works and vehicles everywhere. Dust, noise aweful experience. And they would do nothing to compensate us for this disastrous stay!

This is the fourth time we're staying at this location. The first three times were exceptional. This time we should've been notified that the entire hotel was under construction and that there would be people drilling and banging the entire day. we specifically chose that location because of the abundant breakfast buffet and the cleanliness of the dining area which this time was nonexistent there was no lobby nowhere to sit even in the room to have breakfast since they were three of us very disappointed we've been members for over 20 years and never had an experience like this very unsettling

Our room was on one of the renovated floors and was excellent in every respect. We recognized that the similar renovations were going on on other floors but we were willing to pardon the dust as we entered the facility and in the elevators. We were aware that one day all will be finished to make for a much nicer hotel.

The overall experience was great. The rooms were clean and accommodating. We were very disappointed however, when we arrived to find the lobby under renovation. We were told there was no sit down breakfast due to the renovation. This was not noted when I booked the room. That was one of the main reasons we selected this hotel for our trip. I feel that there should have been a mention about the renovations on the website.

We didn’t even stay. After being charged over $400 for one night we had a hard time navigating the parking lot due to heavy equipment. Then I walked into the lobby and it’s a literal construction zone. I don’t think this should be open to the public. This information was not conveyed to me.

Construction under way on the hotel. No lobby the area around the construction a mess. I’d wait till it was done before going. Room was clean. Plastic cups were left to use on the in room coffee pot which were useless.

When booking the room we were not alerted to the ongoing construction. The lobby was totally demoed and filthy. The elevators were in the same state - wires hanging from the ceiling. While the room was clean construction brave before 9 am and was quite disruptive. Further the water was shut off to our room without any notice whatsoever. When we called the front desk they said they were unaware of this issue but after reading other reviews this is a normal occurrence. The straw that broke the camels back was when the construction crew starting whistling and cat calling at my 16 year old daughter!!! Completely unacceptable.

The hotel is under construction, and by that I don't mean that some part of the hotel is under construction. The whole thing is actively under construction- the lobby, elevators, hallway, gym. This hotel is fine if you are just looking for shelter - a place to stay. Don't expect anything more because that is all you will receive. Our shower also completely flooded our bathroom with each use. It is the cheapest hotel around for a reason. You get what you pay for.

It would’ve been nice to be notified that this property was under EXTREME renovations prior to coming. Our rooms looked like they were “renovated” but the shower door in my room didn’t close, there was a massive space between the floor and the door leading to the hallway that if someone laid on the floor they could look out into the hall. The bed frames had no stoppers for the mattress so the mattress was slipping off the base of the bed frame. Random pieces of wet cardboard and nails on the floor, one of my guests almost slipped and fell on a wet piece of cardboard coming out of the elevator. Overall super disappointed and pretty shocked you are charging guests regular price to stay at this hotel. Would’ve appreciated some type of discount.

Phoned front desk 4 times to try to get construction to stop in rhe evening . They said they would stop at 5:30 pm. Construction sounds finally stopped at 6;15 pm. Nobody at front desk for 10 Minutes when we arrived. This hotel charged us over $300 a night . Glad to be going to another hotel

We were not informed of renovations, we walked into a horrible unsafe mess. We have photos and videos we will be emailing...but the customer service was horrible, even the workers working on renovations were so incredibly UNKIND and rude. We left from our vacation early because it was so uncomfortable and loud. We get ONE vacation a year from our 3 young kids and this one was the worst experience we ever had. We plan to email photos and videos of our broken elevators, disgusting unsafe and dangerous halls, even the loud noises which made for sleepless nights and mornings. We've already gotten in touch with several people and plan to go higher up for a refund for this "vacation" that was pure hell for this couple from far out of town.

This was probably one of the worse experiences I’ve ever had staying at a hotel. The hotel was under construction from the hours of 8:30am-4pm every single day. I understand that hotels need to be worked on and updated but there should have been some type of communication about the state of this hotel before I booked and paid for it. I honestly would not have stayed here knowing that I would have been woken up every day at 8:30am to banging and chainsaws going on the floor below and above the floor we stayed on. Very disappointed in our stay here.

They were under renovation, it felt like all the fumes they produced felt like I hailed, constant smell of cigarettes and marijuana on our floor. Yes I understand they were renovating but we were never made aware of this at the time of booking which is something that should have been known. Lastly when on vacation this is the last thing you wanna deal with, aswell as the breakfeast portion, it was a grab and go from a small table. I wouldn’t recommend for a while until the big renovation is complete. The room was the only okay thing but I wouldn’t be proud to say it was adequate but for the price I guess you get what you deserve.

I booked a standard 2 queen bed room. The room has tv, microwave, refrigerator & mini kuerig(that we don't use it, not sure if it's been cleaned). The bed was firm & comfy beddings were cleaned. Bathroom not enough space to put your toiletries not even a towel rack. The shower has no pressure because it doesn't close from faucet to shower. No hot breakfast but "only to go" because no eating area They have outdoor pool if the weather was permitted. The fitness room not available they use as a storage.

When I went to ask for new sheets front desk said she didn’t know if she had access to them as they were renovating the hotel.
