    Our room was spacious and clean. Definitely weird where they put the toilet paper holder which is on your side when you sot down. Convenient to the airport, so would definitely stay again.

    The property checkin process was quick. The property is clean and spacious. The property serves a fulI breakfast which is convenient. The pool hours are great 1p-10p with a good size. The property has a large lobby/lounge area good for eating breakfast or playing games with family and friends. I wasn't pleased with my room assignment located across from the laundry. It was loud and staff kept the exit door propped open until 8pm. I didn't like that felt a bit unsafe so I kept my door locked. The bed not comfortable.The staff very helpful with extra towels and reprogramming the key card. The property location is very convenient to local restaurants, pharmacies, and shopping.

    VERY SNEAKY !!! I prepaid my one-night stay in full through Booking.com before arriving at the hotel. At check-in, the front desk requested my credit card and clearly stated that it was only for a security deposit. To my surprise, after checking my credit card statement, I discovered that the hotel had charged an additional $148.21 — exactly the same amount as my prepaid room rate. In other words, I was charged twice for a single night’s stay. What is most concerning is that if I had not carefully reviewed my credit card statement, this extra charge could have easily gone unnoticed. Guests should not have to audit their bills to ensure they are not being overcharged. When I contacted the hotel, I was told the front desk may have made a mistake. However, instead of immediately correcting the error, the hotel refunded only $50 and left the remaining balance outstanding. After another follow-up, I was informed that a manager would need to review the case and that I would have to wait 3–5 business days. A security deposit should never result in an unauthorized duplicate room charge. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the hotel’s billing practices. I strongly encourage future guests to carefully check their credit card statements after their stay to ensure they have not been charged incorrectly. Until this issue is fully resolved and the remaining balance is refunded, I cannot recommend this hotel.

    The bathroom was the best part of the room. There were cigarette burns in the furniture which was outdated and dingy, the bed itself made me think of sandpaper and cardboard. Finally after being so grossed out I went down to the pool area which I had high hopes for. It was full of kids that had splashed gallons of water out of the pool and hot tub so there were puddles literally all over the pool area. I immediately checked out, asked for a refund and went to the Hyatt. I was not eating anything that came out of there. For $350 I should be in a nice best western at least. This Wyndham was right down there with motel 6!

    More staff? In the early evening, I needed towels for the pool because there was none in the pool and there was only one desk person and he was waiting on someone and then I went to ask for towels and he told me I needed to wait and then he disappeared into the back and came back and said he could do it in about five minutes so I came back and he was still working with someone then he told me he’d get me some and he took his cell phone and walked down the hall and was gone for five minutes. There was several people at the front counter, ringing the bell before he even came walking back up the hall on his phone, but he was very polite to me.

    I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my prepaid stay at the Wingate by Wyndham Chantilly / Dulles Airport on June 3–4, 2026, booked through Hotels.com. Despite full prepayment, the property placed an additional $175.12 hold on my debit card at check‑in. That hold remains pending as of this writing, notwithstanding repeated assurances from hotel staff that it had been released. The condition of the assigned room was unacceptable and inconsistent with the representations made at booking. The bathroom ceiling exhibited visible structural deterioration, with paint and plaster peeling above the shower. A live cockroach was crawling on the shower head when I went to take a shower. The odor in the bathroom was such that it would tend to attract cockroaches. I have photographic documentation of these conditions. The in‑room television system even failed to provide access to standard programming, including Game 1 of the NBA Finals broadcast?!?!? These deficiencies constitute a material failure to provide the accommodations and services advertised, and the additional debit‑card hold represents an unauthorized charge. I have already contacted hotel management, who confirmed that refund authorization must originate from Hotels.com. Accordingly, I request: Immediate release of the $175.12 hold; Full refund of the prepaid room charge; and Written confirmation of corrective action taken with the property. Gerald Gilliard

    Staff was very nice and accomodating. They were quick with replacing the room key when the first one failed. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable...I slept like a baby. Although near to Dulles airport, it is far enough away to not be disturbed by airplanes either landing or taking off.

    This is just another property taken over by a middle east family conglomerate where the entire family lives on site and no outside help is hired until the family fills all the jobs that they can. This is one of the better properties I've seen that fit this description. The bed was really comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was very good. Much at the property was quite antiquated. From the paper print out where you sign/initial here here and there, they photocopy your license, and supply shampoo and conditioner in little containers on the sink along with little bars of soap where most of the hotel universe has evolved to the bottles mounted on the shower wall. The place was very clean except for big greasy spots on both headboards no doubt from a previous guest sitting up in bed. I don't like having to clean something like that when it should have been done with the rate I paid for the room.

    Close to the airport. Room very clean and comfortable bed. My side of the bed didn’t have a lamp OR an outlet. Huh??? A hotel room with no outlet next to the bed?? Yeah. Unacceptable. When I called to ask about it, the less-than-helpful front desk guy could’ve given 2 sh**s about the problem. I think I woke him up. Also, while I’d pre-registered, I had to register again at the desk. I was exhausted. The front desk guy - who needs to work on his customer-service skills - told me “everyone complains about that”. Then FIX IT!

    Location to airport was fantastic. Had a late flight in so was super easy to get in and sleep. Considering the convenience, the price was great and didn't reflect airport prices. The staff were uninterested, did not want to help when another guest asked for help and were generally unengaging. Not the American hospitality we have experienced in other places.

    Beds were old and mushy. Sheets were worn and synthetic. Although there have been updates in the bathroom, the grout was very dirty. The spigot in the bathroom was loose, held in place with thick grout. Ceiling in the shower patched poorly following a leak. Ugly brown paint is chipped. The only thing good about the room is the carpet was replaced with laminate or vinyl.

    There was a high school/middleschool? Field trip staying in the hotel. They must not have had a parent on my floor because they were running up and down the hallways yelling and laughing until 11:30pm The next morning the halls were strewn with trash. The pillows on the bed were giant and hard. The bathroom was showing signs of wear. All in all it wasn’t a great stay

    The building was nice but it said free airport shuttle. After I booked I discovered it only ran between 7AM and 10 PM. Since we had an early morning flight we had a $30 Uber expense. Our room didn’t have a coffee maker so I called the front desk, yes coffee was available in the lobby. No cups, yeah, they are in the closet to the right when I asked about creamer it was in a refrigerator in the next closet. Since the room had a fridge and microwave not having in room coffee made no sense. Items that could have been easily fixed with a complimentary taxi and a $20 coffee maker but were not. Wouldn’t use that chain again

    The WiFi didn't work at ALL. Repeated calls to the front desk didn't help. I finally got service with my Wyndham Rewards account, but this isn't Wyndham service. This isn't a nice hotel by service standards. This is a budget hotel run by people who are counting on you never coming back there. I don't know why it has the Wyndham name attached to it, it shouldn't.

    Door key situation lowered my rating a star. My room was at far end of hallway from main entrance. The key did not open entrances away from main entrance and as I found trying to open those doors made the my key no longer to get in my room.

    I enjoyed my stayed. When I first arrived, I was expecting a coffee maker in the room. There was not. Even better, there was a coffee machine that made consist fresh excellent coffee in the cafateria area. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet even though we were near the airport. I will stay there in the future.

    Our stay was comfortable and the room was clean. The front desk staff was not very helpful. When we asked for a crib, they told us they didn’t have any but when we insisted, their coworker was able to provide one. We needed to be at the airport early in the morning, but the shuttle starts at 7 and all they said when asked if there’s a way to get a ride before then was no. No alternative suggestions likes taxis.

    Very nice and decent breakfast. The noise in the hallway was terrible. The doors need to be more sound proof. The noise was from disrespectful teens late at night and very very early in the morning. A better door may have helped.

    Nothing, I only stayed one night since there were ants in my room. When I told the person at the desk there response was : really. So I checked out with no refund since I booked with booking.com. They told me to go thru them. I also fell outside at night at about 10:30 and no one came out to see if I was ok. But once I came in the hotel there was 4 people at the desk looking at the cameras. I will not recommend this hotel!

    I was a little disappointed that although I requested to pay at the front desk, they had already charged the credit card. However, the man at the front desk did reverse the charges.     Loved that there was a big pool and hottub, close to alot of shops and restaurants!! Even had a small trail to walk around a pond! Room size was great but sheets had piling and not very comfortable, and room had crumbs all over the floor when we first got in. But staff was very nice and check in and out was fast and efficient!

    From my airport shuttle ride to the hotel to checkout, I had a positive experience. The front desk staff person welcomed me. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet with srambled eggs, saugage, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, and a variety of breads and cereals was included in the room price. The dining area and lobby were well maintained.

    Hot tub water smelled weird. Had too much foam. Needed attention for sure. Also, they let someone rent the pool during the day for 3 or 4 hour blocks for public use, and cant use the area. We stayed multiple days, and this was a disappointing aspect. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. We had to remind them a couple of times of our request for clean towels. Breakfast was cold. Not enough options.

    Staff on the whole were polite and helpful, one member of reception staff certainly lets this place down and you would think they would have a better approach to dealing with issues especially when its a fault with room. The other low point is the lack of bar / restaurant - there is no facilities of this type despite comments on the description saying there is - luckily there is a nice restaurant across from the hotel. General quality of the hotel is good, however the entry cards for the hotel rooms were a massive pain - we had 2 rooms and the cards for both rooms failed on a daily basis - meaning a trip back to reception for them to be recoded - most of the time it was straight forward unless the person on reception was the unhelpful one who decided it would be best to ask a million questions before recoding the key - after a long day out and about this is not needed

    When I reached out at 9:35pm they said they couldn't pick us up because the shuttle had to be back by 10pm (it's 7 min one way). They suggested to take Marriot Courtyard shuttle since it was across the street. 3 luggages, a stroller, car seat and a one year old with plenty of communication and zero care.

    Room was average, the door had a large gap so you can hear everything in the hall easily. Gym was weird. There was a huge window in the main lobby hallway that looked in to the small room, so everyone walking by can watch you working out ….from behind. Like you are in a fishbowl. I chose not to use it. Pool looked ok. Staff looked unprofessional. Wearing sweats like they just woke up and walked in from home. No uniform. No professional attire, even at the front desk. I used the hotel for a travel work trip. I was working nights and wanted to take my breakfast back to my room to relax and enjoy but they don’t allow that. First hotel that I have ever stayed in that had that rule. Hallways and elevator smelled like weed on several occasions.

    The bathroom shower had up soap scum and the bathroom vanity had something that had dripped down on the bottom edge. Otherwise the room was clean. The sheets and pillowcases had burn marks, probably from the cleaning process, but it looked bad. Our room keys only worked once and then had to be replaced each and every time time. The staff were polite and helpful. The pool and hot tub were great and were the Reason we chose this hotel over others in the area. We’ll definitely stay here again for that reason. There should be more towels available in the pool room though. We are used to having bagels bananas and’s were disappointed by that, but otherwise the breakfast was fine.

    First and foremost, shuttle service to and from IAD airport was great. What I most like about this hotel is people, which easily offsets any minor negative side (if any). This stay was flawless. Room was clean, nice bed, small fridge and microwave surely help me something to eat in the room. The only "hiccup" if you will that I encountered was a slight miscommunication. As I stayed from New Year's Eve to the New Year's Day, the receptionist said that there was no breakfast buffet. But, when I checked out, it was opened! Again, not a big deal; but, I could take advantage of it if I had known when I checked in. Nonetheless, I am going to stay again as I have a business around this area once every half year. Thank you very much!

    I found out when I checked in at the hotel that the shuttle didn't run in the morning until 7:00 am and breakfast didn't start until 6:30 am. Since we had an 8:30 am flight, we ended up getting an Uber and having breakfast at the airport.

    The staff are adequate, seem as you are an announce in the day. I have in this hotel several times over the past year and on this visit I found they no longer provide in room coffee. My first thought was I’ll have to stay elsewhere. Decided to bring my own pot, location is great.

    However, as someone noted in the previous review, I also thought that the shuttle bus to and from IAD airport was 24/7. It turned out to be from 7 AM to 10 PM. Because they might not have a freedom to "customize" the Wyndham group website, if I knew the most accurate info before I headed to the hotel, I might have had a second thought. We wish that the manager has a chance to see this, and update their website with most accurate info up to date. Thank you very much for your consideration in advance.

    Property needs major renovations. You could hear people in the rooms next door as if they were in your own room- coughs, conversations, alarm clocks. Shuttle bus runs once every hour while other hotels have them running 3+ times per hour.

    The place us in a handicap room so no bathtub the toilet doesn’t flush properly the floor in the rolm where dirty the windows shades where broken so the could lift they had something the y put together to hold the windows shade the hot tub doesn’t work the workers had me and my wife wait 2 hours just tells the hot tub hasn’t worked in 2 months we couldn’t use the pool because they had secondary business being ran which was a swim school/classes from 4-8 pm this overall wasn’t what i was expecting at all

    Quick check in, comfortable bed with nice cool silky sheets. Overall it was convenient and a good night stay. I encountered the following problems, so I could not give highest rating: bathroom sink was very slow to drain, and although I reported it immediately, it was never fixed; when I returned to the hotel after midnight the parking lot was full; there were no gluten free options at free breakfast and only styrofoam plates (bad for environment); there was no tea in the room (only coffee); the cleaner knocked on my door before 9 am (Sunday!) even though my stay was for one night only.

    The overall stay was amazing! It was quiet, comfortable, and very clean. HOWEVER, the chlorine from the pool was so strong, it gave me & quite a few other guests headaches. I went down to try to enjoy it but the chlorine smell was so overwhelming that I wasn’t able to be in long. You could smell the chlorine as soon as you come through the entrance. It was so bad, I could still smell it hours after leaving the pool/ hot tub. Big no no.

    The bed was super comfy, I didn't want to get out of it. There were snacks and drinks available in the lobby for a charge, which was convenient for my late flight arrival. They had complimentary breakfast the next day which was alright. The airport shuttle was great and on time.

    Said they had airport shuttle pick up - but when I called the number it was busy and no one ever picked up, so I had to uber and it was $30 out of pocket additional. Room was smelly - it smelled like cologne overtop a smoke smell even though it was a nonsmoking room. Room was dirty and noisy - the walls were thin and kids were running up and down halls late at night.

    It wasn't a bad stay. Our room held a dampness that made the room smell moldy when we came in. Thank heavens for air freshener. Then one morning we went to eat breakfast and there were buses full of children at the breakfast bar. We had the funeral that morning and couldn't get through the breakfast line.

    I booked this hotel for 2 nights on 25th of June 2025 due to flight delay. I paid full amount for 2 nights on hotels.com. However when we checked in the hotel request $50 security deposit which we paid on card. On checkout with no extra charges to pay, we request this deposit to be returned in cash as we are leaving US. However the receptionist informed us that it will be returned to our card within 3-5 working days for sure we don’t need to worry. We trusted the hotel and left without the deposit returned in cash. But after 2 weeks we still have not received the refund. We were clearly scammed and I would not advise travellers to book this hotel.

    Price via Expedia was lower than the previous 5 hotels attempted. Room, dbl queens, was welcoming, clean, beds fresh with crisp, soft clean linens. Temperature set at 68 , cool and comfortable in 90 degree temps. Amenities were standard, work-out, TV, WiFi, Coffee maker, frig, ice maker on floor, lobby snacks and ice cold bottled beer available. Bathroom, clean and bath towels etc freshly laundered. Shower - Hot water immediately, exceptional force for a hotel. Amenities, Breakfast available at 6:00, fresh coffee, & airport shuttle at 7:00. 5star rating for Expedia having this hotel in their availability and 5 stars for hotel, price, quick check-in, cleanliness, convenience, and overall welcoming. I highly recommend -for overnight or extended stay.

    I have no idea, as I call for the complimentary shuttle from the airport and was told it would 1-1.5 hrs. I asked for manager and the person hung up on me. I took uber and when arrived, the clerk denied hanging up and kept arguing. He said I no longer could stay and that I was trespassing! My phone was dead, so I sat down to charge and he called police. WTH?!? I got enough power to call uber and went to stay at another hotel!
