The location in downtown Chandler is ideal. Walking distance to a great range of food and drink along with, but to a lesser extent other shopping. Relaxing environment, especially in the courtyard area. Bar staff overworked and hard to get a drink before going out to meet people in the busy period. Went out two nights in a row rather than wait.

The property was nice. The rooms were very comfortable and the AC worked great. The pool was busy but kid friendly.

They sold so many day passes to the pool there was not enough chairs for the hotel guests

For a Valley icon, it still looks great! Maybe the decor was too modern for me but overall, great location and wonderful stay. Just come visit!

The outlying areas where the rooms were could use a lift. Walkway was always wet, puddles even. Large bird poop droppings the whole time. Staff was excellent. If i asked for anything they were right there. Liked breakfast at AJs and sandwiches/food was fresh. Facilities were clean.

This was not a "resort". It was comparible to a cheaper radisson or best western. Not sure how they came up with that rating.

The bar, housekeeping, and maintenance staff are amazing! Front desk and other administration staff are friendly and knowledgeable, as well. Thank you!

The room was clean and beds were comfy, bathroom was roomy with a nice shower. We enjoyed the pool area and didn't need to get there early even on the weekend plenty of chairs available until noon. We did get drinks from the pool bar but there are no waiters, you must go to the bar for drinks. We ate breakfast at TJ's and was great coffee and food. The Crust next door is very good. Overall great stay, not for sure if we would go back though. They did charge a fee of $30 a day for resort fees and taxes after checkout. If you like cigars there is a great rooftop cigar bar a block south, Puro.

Nothing this place has gone down hill I have stayed here on several occasions and it has it use to be really nice but it continues to go downhill. The room I had smelled like mold and was filled with insects The room was filled with insects I had to actually record the room and show thew front desk the bugs before they would do anything about it. It also smelled like mold

The first room we had smelled like sewer gases. They switched our rooms and it was fine. Don’t accept room 254. It’s nasty

Location is perfect with many restaurants within walking distance. Pool and hotel restaurants were excellent.

The only negative was the closed pool bar. But at least the lobby bar was a close walk. Nice place to swim and relax. Surrounding areas were great for walking, shopping and especially bar/restaurant selection.

We had an excellent stay at the Crowne Plaza Phoenix - Chandler Golf Resort. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, everything was wonderful. The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere made our visit very enjoyable. Thank you to the team for making our stay such a great experience. We would happily return.

We were there for a football camp and stayed one night. The property was pretty nice definitely not a resort vibe, but it was clean and we had zero complaints.

the hot tub was good the second night. the patio was nice to relax on. The vibe there was really nice and fun.

Any idea that this is a golf resort is bad marketing at best. I think I saw a golf course a couple of blocks away. The room was large, and the bed was wonderful (high and firm), the bathroom tiny, the water pressure poor. Our room balcony looked over a large parking lot. The common areas were inviting, modern and lively.

The room had a musty smell when we entered. Later that night we smelled a septic/sewer smell. The water pressure wasn’t good in the shower. We did appreciate the friendly staff and comfortable beds. For $310 a night we expected more.

The first room was terrible, the staff was helpful and we were able to change rooms. The cleaning staff did not replace the tissue, water bottles or toilet paper. Almost ran out of toilet paper.

Breakfast were great. Presentation was excellent. The pool was nice. The room that we ended up with was very nice. It’s what we should have had at the very beginning. When we checked in the individual who helped us was cordial and professional. The first room that we were sent to was dirty and not a king like we had booked. The second room was very dirty as you walked into it. It was a king but dirty. I had to take pictures of the room because the front desk was having trouble believing us. Not once in the three room change did anyone help us or make contact with us. The last phone call the front desk was very rude and unprofessional. The third room we were sent to was clean but not a king. We went ahead and took it. We stayed in that room the following night as well. The room they were looking to give us was at the end of the resort, a very long way from anything. The third night we were given a king room and it was fine. We think that given the situation it may have been a reasonable thing for the Crown Plaza to wave the resort fees for at least two of the three nights. Anything as a gesture of goodwill. They did nothing. So, here we are 3 days out still waiting for a receipt. The resort says it comes from the third party but Booking.com says it comes form the property. No one has sent any response in any form. One of the questions we asked the front desk was” do you know why people go to a resort?” They could not respond, they just stood quietly. This was not what we were looking forward to at all.

The staff was amazing and the overall stay was positive. Unfortunately the description of the room vs what we got didn’t match. The description includes separate shower and bath but that was not the setup of the room and they had no other available so I was stuck with a room that didn’t match what I booked. This needs to be addressed for room booking accuracy

Wonderful pool but a bathroom in the pool area would be nice. We went swimming later in the day, there were cups and food boxes all over. That falls on the people drinking and eating but it would be nice if staff would clean the area up. Also our balcony had bird droppings and paint chipping off the roof. Just needed a little TLC.

Pool area is my favorite, this is the only place i go when I visit friends in Chandler. I felt as though the pool could have had longer hours. Also, not the friendliest of staff at AJ's...breakfast was warm, not hot. Overall I stay because of the location.

We’ve stayed here many times-it’s a convenient location for us and the activities we need to do while in the valley. We love the old school resort style of the hotel and they have a done and overall good job at staying up to date and renovated. The beds are comfortable, the staff is super nice and it’s close to a lot of restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Pool side service is nice to have as well.

The only minor issue we had was with the bartender - there were 3 people at the bar, 3 women at one table and 3 of us near the fireplace. He absolutely ignored us and we finally had to walk up to the bar to get drinks. No big deal, just disappointing.

This property was very comfortable to stay in, but there was a lot of construction on the grounds at the time, and I had to walk around a very long way to get to something that should have only taken me a few minutes. I didn’t like that the tv wouldn’t work alot of the time it would say no signal, I didn’t like that the power went out and my food was spoiled in the fridge so I had to throw it out cause it smelled.

The Crowne Plaza was well-maintained. Nice property. However, the room itself had a very loud air-conditioning unit that woke us up every time it kicked on. Not being able to get a good nights. Sleep is a problem.

The Crowne Plaza is activity central for GCU's PhD students and faculty. It is always nice and the staff is primo. So whenever we go to Phoenix, we stay there!

What an incredibly stunning hotel. The pool was amazing, each courtyard area was beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic. Only thing that could have made it better is if the rooms had a microwave!

When we walked into the room it didn't smell clean. The bathroom was not very clean and is in need of some serious updates. When hotel staff asked about my stay I sent them photos and they offered to switch our room. The next room the door was open when we arrived abs there were bugs everywhere. The third room was in better condition but the tub would not drain properly. This hotel needs some serious updates. The hot tub area looks in bad condition.

Very nice property and great location right in the heart of downtown Chandler, you can walk to everything. My only concern was I think a previous guest may have smoked on the patio and somehow some of that smell got in the room but I would still stay here again if I am in the area.

I liked the historic aspect of the property. The property needed a bit of maintenance, but the staff were very friendly. The patrons that were there for the custom truck show were noisy.

While our stay was Wonderful, we ran out of towels, cups and Kleenex. We went to the front desk for some and some were brought to the room. We never did figure out the housekeeping schedule. They did not freshen up our room even once during our six night stay. However, we enjoyed Crowne Plaza Phoenix as a resort overall. There are many more positives than negatives.

There is lots to do right around the hotel and at the hotel. The pool area was great. The hotel itself and the room was a bit rundown and in need of some paint and just general maintenance. The floor of our shower looked super dirty but I think it was just stained. The baseboards in the room were in terrible condition. There were stains on the rooms carpet. It just needs updated. But all in all it was a pleasant stay.

For the price you would expect a lot more. Hotel is old and needs some love in areas. Also if you have a party of 3 buying the breakfast just pay for it. Don’t bother with the 20 for 2. I have stayed in nicer for a lot less. Check in was at 3pm showed up at 3:10 and kid at the front desk said our room wasn’t ready. Had to get supervisor to get another room. Again was expecting more for what I got. Staff was very stand off.

Hotel id average at best. Bed and pillows are not comfortable at all. The rooms have really old TVs (not smart tvs). Not what you expect for the price. Would definitely not stay here again. Much better to stay at a different hotel down the street and for the same prime.

Check in staff was very friendly, rooms are quite large with a king sized bed and a couch. Walkable to tons of restaurants and bars

The property is beautiful and all stage was very attentive! Breakfast and the service at AJs was lovely! Perfect solo staycation

This was the perfect place for a getaway. The pool was perfect and the hot tub hit the spot at night. The nearby restaurants were a bonus.

Love this hotel!

Lovely place in a great location. However upon checking into our room and getting our bags out of the car the room was covered in black pet hair. There was hair on all flat services, including in the sheets. There was also a musty smell in the room. I called the front desk and was easily moved to a room two doors down from the origonal room. The new room luckily was clean and did not have a smell. I am grateful for the fast response to change rooms, but was sadly thrown off because how dirty the first room was.

I tried to check in early and the front desk person said not for 2 more hours. I came back two hours later and the next front desk person said it was done but not approved by management. He took my number and said he would call or text me and never did. I waited an hour and half and went to the front desk a third time(now after regular checkin hours and they said it still want ready. i complained and they switched rooms to get me checked in.

I didn’t like the layout of the hotel. I was there for an elegant evening corporate party. I got a room at the resort. The rooms are on one end of the resort and the ballrooms on the other end. So, walking to the event was torture in an evening gown and heels.

We got our room and the sliding door had no screen door and the window did not open. We also did not receive the breakfast coupons we paid for. The morning we checked out we had maid service knock on our door at the rosey hour of 8am. Why would a room that is checking out need room service? Hmm. Called the front desk to ask why they knocked and got the answer ‘oh not sure’. Then 30 minutes later a maintenance man also knocked on our door. When we answered and asked why he was knocking he just shrugged and walked away. Horrible service and just avoid if you can.

Could use some USB outlets in the rooms.

Great location, great staff, but the rooms are very tired. Some rooms on the ground floor are undergoing renovation which is appropriate.

Lobby area was very nice, room was towards back and not as well kept up. Arrived at 5pm, it was getting dark and could barely find the room. Once lights came on, no lighting in the back area. The shower was clogged and our room was not serviced during stay. Could use updating to match lobby vibe.

The property was clean, well kept and visually stunning. Location of hotel ideal in Downtown with easy walking distances to dining, shopping and bars. Highly recommend this facility.

Over. Room was average. Wallpaper coming off wall in bathroom. Fan in bathroom noisy. Long walk to lobby.

Excellent location, walking distance to everything!! Room was a bit dated and needs updating.
