This was the cheapest, closest option for the event I was attending in D.C. There isn’t anything special going on about this hotel, you get what you pay for.

First, I was not aware at the time of booking that there would be an additional $50 holding fee/deposit required at check-in. There was no clear explanation provided regarding the purpose of the charge only that it should be refunded within 4 business days, so I recommend other travelers confirm this in advance to avoid surprises. The room itself also had a few maintenance issues. The toilet seat was not properly secured and continuously shifted during use, which was inconvenient. Additionally, there was no hot water available the night we arrived. Fortunately, hot water was available the following morning. The most concerning part of the stay occurred at checkout. I admittedly did not confirm the checkout time or request a late checkout, so I understand that we were slightly past the required time. However, at approximately 11:03 AM, a male staff member began pounding heavily on the door. While we were asking who it was, he proceeded to open the door and informed us that checkout was at 11:00 AM and that we needed to leave by 11:30 AM. Regardless of checkout policy, entering a guest room without proper permission or giving occupants adequate opportunity to respond is inappropriate and highly unprofessional. Staff had no way of knowing whether guests were properly dressed or otherwise prepared for someone to enter. The manner in which this situation was handled felt intrusive and disrespectful.

I chose this motel because it is extremely dog-friendly, and I was traveling with two dogs and booking late in the evening for the same night. While that aspect worked as advertised, I cannot recommend staying here in good faith unless you are constrained by circumstances or a tight budget. The room was not very clean—there were several dead bugs scattered on the floor—and the overall surroundings did not feel particularly reassuring.

I even had to druggies knock on my door trying to shove money into the 3" gap that i opened it. Unreal. I wouldnt let my dog onto the grass because i was afraid she'd get stuck w a dirty needle. Worse stay that i ever had. No clean towels or trash pickup either. Motel 6 isn't what it once was. Won't EVER stay there again.

Unbelievably disgusting n definitely unsafe for a women n child to be during the day let alone at night. I left within 45 mins after checking in after 3 rooms were found to be disgusting.

Oh and they got you by the naads because you have already paid on line and that non refundable so you can’t cancel and go somewhere else and now you have to give them another $50 dollars that they say will be back on your card in 4-5 days I’m sure I’ll have to call to get back. Sleep in you car, I’m sure you’ll have better accommodations.

This property is basically a shelter for displace and homeless people. The caliber of people on the property made you feel really unsafe. Now the room smelled stale. It was dirty and poorly lit. The bed sheets were thoroughly stained with brown and blood looking remnants all the way through the mattress. The bathroom was cleaned up but toilet stained, build up around faucets and all the panels were dull and dirty. We did not sleep there we checked out after 1 hour and 45 mins. It was just terrible.

We had a reservation for 4 nights. They set us up in a room with no mini fridge and no microwave. When I asked the front desk for a room with these, she told me that I had not requested them. They did give us a new room with the standard amenities but rotating plate was missing the microwave and there was a piece of ice the size of Manhattan in the fridge that made using it difficult. Fortunately the iceberg broke off and I could store my creamer. No coffee maker in the room but I brought my Keurig. There's another hotel next door that may be a little more but I would probably try it next time.

My neighbors had no working lights in their room! When they consulted the front their answer was “there’s one underneath your bathroom sink” haha seriously? This place was not at all like the photos showed and a lot worse. Tried to get a refund but was given the run around. The overall look and smell of the place was horrendous! I would never I say never advise someone to stay at this place. It needs to be taken off of Expedia. That was a roach motel!

Lobby ac is sometimes cut off making 82 degrees or hotter inside. Breakfast is horrible and always burnt, not there entirely l, or incomplete. Staff is extremely rude and racist. Staff are condescending and rude to women.

I’ve stayed at much nicer hotel 6’s. This one was missing a nightstand and had an extremely old tv that did not work. The shower head sprayed in all different directions which made it hard to rinse. We also only had one towel and it was unfolded on the shelf. The towels were very low quality- think like sheets. And the bed sheets were even thinner, like paper. There was also this plastic covering the mattress that made the bed very uncomfortable. The sheets on top did nothing to limit the sound of feel of the plastic. On top of that, the sheets kept coming off the bed while we slept. There was a stain on the single very thin blanket we were given and we only had three tiny pillows. Person at the front desk was only able to give us one more towel. We requested a no smoking room but the room smelled like smoke when we arrived. AC did work and we were given two bars of soap. Lastly, it was very easy to hear people walking by our door and we heard many noises throughout the night.

Not clean, no shower curtain, it was hard to take a shower. Need to change the shower head. And the attendant at the front has a bad attitude and everytime I come its the same attitude. So I will not be coming back to that hotel anymore.

Okay... Lot of movement

4 stars overall because of the cleanliness. Definitely saw a roach but it was in the restroom so no problems. I wish they had a fridge and a microwave in the rooms.

The floors werent cleaned very well coupd see dirt around edges of room the room had an odor wasnt pleasant i went to use the one and only towel in room and it hadnt even been washed had greyish markings on it lile it had been used for floor dried and just folded back up with someones hair on it! Not to mention the loudness coming from the room up above and next door all night! I will never stay there again! I travel alot and never not once seen a hotel bad as this!

There were a few cockroaches and other bugs didn’t really sleep much over the idea of bugs in the place

Five minutes after I swiped my debit card to pay for the room I got a fraud charge on my card so be careful swiping your card

The stay last night was ok but it could have been better. The fire alarm unit was beeping. It beeped all night. The clerk is really slow at the front desk and needs some help.

It it is ran down it had bugs furniture broke was not a good experience as of the condition wise the service was great the only reason we stay there was because it was close to FedEx Field but it wasn't worth it I would have stayed somewhere farther out than to stay in this nasty place

Housekeeping never came to our room for 3 days, we had to go to the front desk for clean towels. When we asked for a large garbage bag they said they didn’t have any, really???? I’ve stayed at other Motel 6’s and this one was disappointing.

Roaches

It was relaxing even if it was for a couple of hours. They do need to get rid of the roaches though. But cool.

The room had a funky smell and found bugs. Do not recommend to anyone. Avoid this motel!!

Lady In the office was very nice and helpful

The first room I was put in the sink was leaking and got my clothes wet they fixed it the very next day the ceiling started leaking so I had my room switch the second room they put me in the air conditioning was not working I asked the front desk the manager and the maintenance man three days back to back to back about the air conditioning that never got fixed I was in that room three days no air the last room they put me in smelled like mildew the bathroom floor was messed up anybody could of fell threw it and they had roaches in every room I was in

no cleaning, not safe as well as bad smell around the all three room that we took, overall not good place to spend 3-4 days.

Horrible

Needs total redecoration. Mattress was lumpy. Bed linen had many cigarette holes

Room was in horrible shape. Floors looked like they were never swept.. cig burns in everything from sheets to the drapes. After seeing the other guest smoking up and being asked if I had product.. we started calling around to other places for rooms.

Cleaning

We called to say we would be in very late( early morning as travelling) was told room kept until 5a.m., when we got there was told room had been cancelled cat 2p.m..

The room was not clean. The staff was very unprofessional. I had to go back to the front office twice to get a working key. Trash was everywhere outside of my room. The place was a dump.

The condition of the room-though not dirty, it had a lot of broken things-the door had a huge crack around the border. The microwave and frige did not work. There was no hair dryer. No elevator, and our room was on the third floor.

There were cats everywhere. Security guard had to break up a fight. Room smelled like cigarettes. We did not stay and had to find another hotel.

Bad WiFi and key cards that needed constant reprogramming
