The carpet had a stains on it. And the breakfast was cold and not great but free.

Staff was great and room was clean with great amenities. Only issue was that the room wasnt ready at check-in time which I found quite unfortunate for what I paid for.

Tv was out of order the entire time of my stay. The desk lamp was not working either, I like to work at the room in the afternoon but that was just annoying. I reported these issue to the front desk the first morning of my stay but they were not resolved. Additionally, I have never paid for parking at this hotel, and I've stayed here multiple times in the past 15 years, this stay I was charged $10 per night; not happy with that at all, seems petty and Its only $10, but it made me think I'm going to look around next trip for something else.

The a/c in our room (217) was not cooling properly. There were hairs on the beds, and sink, a dirty hand print on the armoire/closet, and stains on the carpet. The room had a musty smell. During the night, a roach appeared on the top of the wall above one of the beds. The ice maker on the 2nd floor did not work. We requested early check in, but no one got back to us. After asking twice, we were granted a late check out. However, we were locked out of our room when we starting to load up at 10:50 a.m. We had to get a hotel staff member to let us back in to get the rest of our belongings, and ended up checking out a little ahead of the regular check out time. We’ve stayed at this hotel many times in the past. It was always clean, and everything was operable. Not sure why there were so many issues this time. Also, they now charge $10 for parking, where before there was no fee. No streaming apps on the tv. The breakfast was decent though.

Good 2-3 star hotel for buisness travel..safe...close to everything..needs some updates and care but is clean....staff super friendly and extremely helpful......breakfast is decent but average selection. Good parking....traffic in and out and surrounding is very heavy at 0700 and 1700 so plan accordingly. I have stayed here several times the last 12 months

First the young man who helped check me in was so helpful. He explained everything gave me a choice on what floor I wanted to stay on and recommend a great Italian restaurant. The room was clean update with a comfortable mattress. Tv was easy to use. Enjoyed the breakfast and the young woman at the desk were friendly and helpful. The Express Holiday Inn is on a pretty piece of property. There are many good restaurants close by. They are minutes from 75 . Just a great property!

Showed up to check in and the girl at the front desk told me only certain rooms had hot water and she couldn’t tell me which rooms had it. When I asked if I could go up to a room to see if it had it, she told me no I can’t let you up there cause I might be able to sell that room. In other words, roll the dice and see if you got hot water as well as the person coming in later. Had to call another Holiday Inn to try to get rooms for that week for business. I’m a gold member and this is how we get treated. Renter beware!!

Day 1, toilet did not flush, room was changed, air conditioner did not work, another room change, they put us on the 1st floor next to the lobby and breakfast area, I originally requested a quiet area, they changed our room the next day, it was ok, the 3rd day the toilet did not flush and they gave me a plunger to plunge the toilet, Really? Then the maid never did our room, no hot water for 3 days and the pool did not work, water was filthy, other guests also complained about the facility, due to all the issues we decided to leave 2 days earlier, we had enough, i asked to go to another holiday but eas told no because they are a franchise so, please stay away from this place

No hot water,loud air conditioner, pool was green, room wasn’t clean. If I hadn’t prepaid I would have never checked in but unfortunately the is the downfall of booking through the website as there is no refunds regardless of situation.

I had to tell the cleaning crew to vacuum and mop...and change my sheets..? AC was working well, but the pool was closed and temperatures were 85 to 90° Breakfast was ok, to 9:30 am, but the staff were rushing starting preparing to close at 9:20... For two days we didnt have hot water, no one notified the guests, and the last comment is that the buttons on the phone in the room that shows, front desk, emergency, house keeping etc, weren't working, and again, the staff didnt notify the guests to use the 0 to contact front desk etc., horrible experience, I wouldnt recommend it, for almost $ 200 a night, I felt I was in a Motel.... It is, and has been, my Go to! Business Traveler stay for many years. Very hard to beat. Always clean, very quite, wonderful staff, and Breakfast is great.

After our stay we got charged to park, no where nor anyone notified us of this charge we will dispute.

Breakfast is always good at any Holiday Inn Express. This particular hotel needed some updating, but our major complaint was no hot water for my bath on the night we arrived, and still no hot water for my husbands shower the next morning. This is unacceptable, sorry. I’ve never had to write a bad review!

Great location, the staff was friendly, and the room met our needs for the most part. The faucet in the bathroom sink did not function well and the A/C was noisy.

We received excellent service, employees were extra nice and genuinely helpful! The place is close to stores, very comfy and clean. The breakfast was delicious! Will be returning.

I felt that the bed was way too soft and both my husband and I woke up with terrible back aches. I really hate to complain about the bed, because I know everyone has their own preferences. But we’ve never had uncomfortable beds at an IHG property. Everything else was, of course, great!

I hope they can improve these aspects because the service and the wait time upon arrival greatly affect the guest experience.

On top of that, the toilet was not very clean, and the worst part was the condition of the bed. The mattress was sinking in the middle, which made it very uncomfortable and caused us to sleep poorly. Overall, this was a disappointing experience with this hotel chain.

Showed up at 4pm to check in and not everyone we were with couldnt because rooms weren't ready. The pool was dirty. The parking lot was filthy. The floors were dirty. The shower walls were gross. Everything smelled musty. Then to top it off, no hot water for showers or washing hands. Literally, barely luke warm, mostly cold. We werent the only ones complaining and the front staff just said they were full and ran out of hot water and try to shower later. They make you sign a policy at checkin that if you decide to leave when you get in your room, its still $100 charge. I dont know how they got good reviews unless someone is paying them. We couldnt even get extra towels. Worst hotel experience ive had in many years.

I thought the breakfast was as good as I have had at other hotels I have stayed at this year. I thought the staff was extremely pleasant. The hotel was good value, and I noticed many families there, which I believe speaks volumes about the staff's efforts. It is not a perfect hotel, but for the value, I believe it is good. The carpeting is worn in places and needs some refreshing, but all in all a good experience.

The problem I have is with the Hotel and you as a company, first the hotel charging $ 10 a day for parking is just crazy.

If cold showers are your thing this is the place for you. Mentioned to manager on way to dinner. He said they were fully booked and now that people had left should be better. It wasn’t. We asked about parking when we left for a cruise and were told yes then when we got there the night clerk knew nothing about it and told us we had to wait and ask a manger in the morning. When we tried to take a hot shower after a day long drive, there was NO hot water, not even Luke warm water. When we inquired about it, we were told that they had not had hot water in at least 2 days! When asked about a refund, we were told because we booked with Expedia there was nothing they could do. Very disappointed

Overall a good stay! Nothing special but nice and clean and staff was friendly. We did get stuck in the elevator which was interesting but other than that our stay was good. We did the suite so it was nice having the separate room. Very quiet! The pond out back was nice relaxing place to start the day.

The heater did not work in the room and the outside temperature was in the 40s. The front desk said that they don’t use the heater that much in Florida so sometimes this happens. I suggested perhaps they should check before booking the room. There were no other available rooms and they made no effort to relocate us to an adjacent property.

My experience here was good. Clean and had good amenities. The staff was nice, breakfast was good. No complaints or problems. Definitely a convenient stay.

Room was not in good shape. TV didn’t work, coffee maker had all kinds of nasty stuff in the water tank. One of the 3 garment hooks was Missing/broken and the edge of the bathroom door laminate was missing. Eventually fixed the tv but nothing else during my 3-day business stay.

Traveled as a family of 4 (two small kids). The rooms were clean & cozy! Breakfast was decent for adults but I mostly appreciated they had a good variety for the kids to choose from (scrambled eggs, sausage links, potatoes, French toast sticks, bagels, yogurt & juices, etc). The outdoor seating area by the pool is beautiful! Lots of shady areas to enjoy. But it is next to an open pond that is not gated (beware of critters).

The front desk receptionist that checked us in was exceptional. She gave recommendations for my son and I, as we were staying for a soccer tournament. She made sure to let us know when breakfast would be so we could grab something before we headed out to our game. Thank you so much!!

The Air conditioner was moldy, I was coughing all night, I didnt get a good nights rest, because of the moldy smell. I will not recommend nor will I ever book at this hotel again.

For the coffee lovers, they have a machine that grinds it for you, hence fresh coffee always. And did I mention, coffee anytime….

The facility was clean. The rooms were clean, comfortable, & the beds put us to sleep. We will definitely stay there again. The staff was also incredibly friendly. The breakfast was great and the omelets were the best!!

We were not able to check in until after 5 pm although my room was booked months in advance. We showed up at 4 pm (the check in time) and were given the run around that our room wasn’t ready due to them being short staffed and the fact they were hosting teams from a soccer tournament. If you can not accommodate the amount of guests, don’t book them. I asked to speak to the manager, who was not present. The elevator was noisy and when I looked into it realized the inspection certificate expired 08/01/25. We had originally booked the hotel for 2 nights, however left after the first night and went elsewhere due to the conditions of this hotel.

Room service came in while me and my partner were still in the room in the morning so I told them to come back after 1 hour since we had plans to leave and come back later. When we came back we saw that they never came for room service and I even had to call the front desk for fresh blankets and a mattress cover. While we showered we started getting a weird allergic reaction to something inside of the bathtub and made me and my partner feel sick and sneeze all night long which wasn’t convenient for either of us. We tried searching to see if it was something that we had used or left but it was indeed the rooms bathtub and water.

Not satisfied with my stay at all. The facilities had roaches, and the bathroom had grime all over the sink and counter. Staff was rude save for the one front desk man who checked us in. Lights in the room didnt even work; overall had a very poor stay.

Good breakfast. Workout area had empty sanitation dispenser, no remote for tv, just one towel. TVs were outdated with no guide on tv or provided in the room forcing the user to manually scroll to find a station or even determine if it existed.

Just needed a quick stay the night before our cruise. Hotel was clean, quiet and breakfast was perfect the next morning. I enjoyed the patio area off the pond. Prices were reasonable. Hotel is close to restaurants.

Great Customer Service. Staff were nice and helpful. LOVE 😍 the high water pressure shower head. It provided a great massage on my back after a long drive. Our connecting rooms with double queen beds were clean. Good price for the two rooms with Free Breakfast on a July 4th weekend. I recommend staying at Holiday Inn Tampa - Brandon location. It was a nice stay. Propoerty was very clean. The only issue we had was the refridgerator in the room would free everything no matter where we put it in the fridge. Could not adjust it but it was not a show stopper. I would stay at this location again if in Tampa.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The breakfast was filling and good. My room was clean. Parking was easy. And the hotel is not far from many shops and restaurants.

We had a nice quiet stay here during our weekend trip. The front desk was amazing! They were very welcoming and helpful, both at check in and at night! Breakfast was great and the staff was also amazing! Great service!

Pool wasn’t functioning. Not a lot of people but couldn’t or wouldn’t accommodate early check in. Very clean and staff pleasant in general.

We were traveling home from the keys and drove into a bad storm so we decided to stop for the night. The beds were very comfortable and the next morning we had an excellent breakfast

I like the fact that the property is well maintained, the room is spacious but the bed was uncomfortable. They need to change the mattresses.

The stay was nice. The breakfast is amazing. HOWEVER, some very questionable people linger in the parking lot. I stayed for two nights and each day had encounters in the parking lot (1 from a literal crack head, like literally, & 1 from AAs who were smoking and seemed to try to follow me). Stand your ground and be aware. It’s a nice surrounding area, so idk how they get over there. lol but the hotel was notified.

Staff are great! Overall, we had a great stay.

Everything was great for the most part. My only complaint was the room smelled like mildew and it set my allergies off for a while. Also the comforter on our bed had a few spots of what looked like old blood stains possibility on them. Other than that, everything was good.

Staff was very helpful especially since I had only booked an hour before arriving.

I had to be in Brandon the next day for an all day meeting. I was very happy to stay here. It was so convenient and comfortable. The grounds are woodsy and quiet, despite being close to the highway. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect except the AC unit in room was very loud

Shower pressure not very good, took a lot of time to wash the soap off when showering. Toilet seat, broken in room 345. The toilet seat was loose and moving around. Raise fan in bathroom delayed start and not efficient. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Liked restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

Hotel was super clean and bed were comfortable

It was close to the beach and the pool in the back was on the bay. It was noisy 24/7. The shower curtain was short and every time anyone showered, the bathroom flooded. It smelled a little, beds caved in the middle.

Extremely clean, quiet and the front desk were fabulous to work with. The Breakfast Buffet is wonderful !!! Lots of choices and always hot and VERY clean.

I like the courtesy of the receptionist and the service I like the rooms overall the premise,I think they should press attention to the carpet a little more but again I appreciate the attention and the effort of the people who work there

The room was a bit on the small side. Had some deep cleaning issues, i.e. It was surface clean. Keurig not cleared and replaced. Pool closed Breakfast pretty good, though no yogurt or bananas on day over. Potatoes were quite good.

Average hotel with some good aspects and some bad. We had 3 adults staying in a room with 2 beds. The room had very limited storage for clothes and very few places to hang towels to dry. The safety bar in the shower was detached at the bottom. Breakfast had great variety - muffins, pastries and yogurt were very good, however the hot food items were usually cold. The pancake maker was very good.

The hotel is located in a great location. Restaurants, shopping center, movie theater all within walking distance of the hotel. And you’re right next to the highway, the hard rock casino is less than 15 minutes away. My room was great. Loved my very comfortable bed, and my room was very clean. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Check was very easy no problems at all.

The breakfast run out quickly…. They were low on supplies. My room didn’t get serviced the second day even though I was told it would be serviced everyday. The only reason I rented a hotel was for my daughter to use the pool. When we were ready to do it, I asked the front person how to get to the pool and then she replied oh it is in maintenance and it was closed (there were no signs about it) No one told us that when we checked in.

Staff is very friendly. But the pool is not working -a sign said not meet the requirements of bylaws. One of the reason that I booked this hotel was the beautiful picture of outdoor pool

Hallway was very hot a/c broke? I had two rooms the shower dripped all night, a/c blinked all night while sleeping.

Good hotel overall with large rooms, good breakfast and was clean. Biggest issue was with security. Homeless are sleeping nearby along with a lot of trash and abandoned shopping carts. Each morning I saw that an external door was propped open with a small rock allowing anyone to enter the building unseen by lobby staff. I pointed this out to the staff so they removed the rock but it was propped open again in subsequent days, so the problem was not taken care of. If I returned I would probable bring a device that would ensure no one could easily enter my room without alarming me.

Had an amazing time at the hotel. Easy check in, all issues were resolved immediately, location was in shopping area, it was quiet and the rooms were extremely clean. I will stay here again.

Love the firm mattress, pillows ( I bought one!) and free breakfast. The room could have better lighting. Not conducive to reading in bed.

All the make up from my wife was lost from one day to another - I didn’t know I had to put it in the safe !!

Had a small issue where the a/c was not cooling. Called front desk and they put me in a new room quicker than it took me to get down to the lobby! Other than that, everything was great! Staff were courteous and professional. Clean building. Amenities as listed. Great breakfast!
