Small, private and close to the beach and restaurant.Nice outdoor pool. Clean. The property is not beachfront/oceanfront as advertised. It is separated by a road and hedge. Short walk to the actual waterfront. Another issue was that housekeeping stated that they were out of wash clothes. We had to go buy a loofa for each of us to wash with.

We especially appreciated how quickly the team responded when there was a temporary power outage in the area. They kept guests informed and resolved everything exactly when promised, which made us feel well taken care of. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Ocean Lodge to anyone visiting Boca Raton! Thank you for a great stay! 🌴☀️🏖️

The room was clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable, but the laundry room and the vending room needs some major attention, I experienced a power outage that wasn't there fault but the it was out for about 6 hours with no compensation

Decent place. Air conditioner was not working well and it’s only May. Hopefully it gets fixed. Loud music outside at the pool at night. Close to beach. Pool was nice.

This an old property that is well maintained and clean. The pool was right outside our door and it was great to cool off in pool and walk right into our room. The location is about 1.4 miles to downtown Boca which allowed us to walk to entertainment (Funky Bisquit) and awesome dinning options.

There is no staff on site. There were other guests making excessive noise until past 4 AM. Because there was no stuff there was no one to regulate this.

Confronted the father the next day with the response, "boys will be boys", without any apology. The fatigue is real.

After the renovation and change of hands of owners; the place looks great! Easy access to the beach! Awesome and affordable place to stay!

Nothing. Beds were uncomfortable. It was poorly remodeled, no special amenities. No washcloths. Charged a cleaning fee but the cleaning doesn’t reflect such a fee. No elevator, be prepared to drag luggage up stairs.

We had the most wonderful time with our stay there! The room was perfect for us and had all the amenities we needed. Not to mention how clean it was and it was right across from the beach! The staffing communication was perfect! Thank you for Fabulous time!

A hidden gem where I got to work and see my man. The coastal protected land and waters, and trails to the marine conservation lab (by donation) was the perfect amount of natural on foot activity needed while taking a break from work.

We did not use the kitchen but it was clean with nice appliances.

The beds are decent, it's an older property that's been updated and maintained. Really nice for the $$.

The room was very clean, laid out very well, and super comfortable. I had to leave to go to my new Apt that frankly, didn't live up to this place.

Location is convenient, parking is easy, the room is huge and comfortable Coffee or breakfast should be offered. Maybe add a vending machine.

Small, dark, dingy place. Stove did not work. Air conditioner needed new filter. Smoking signs ignored. The property manager Amber is nice on the phone and promises to remedy the situation but then ghosts you.

We were so lucky to find a last minute room available here for a short stay. Sooo clean, comfy beds, sweet little updated kitchenette, pool tucked away in the back. Obviously an older building but welcoming and quaint. Gave the staff 4 stars because there is no staff on site but communication was very good. Beach is right across the street. Would stay again.

The location was great!! The room was large and roomy! The bed was comfy! And it was extremely clean! The people running the place are extremely nice and very quick to answer questions. There were no wash cloths. The room is also really bright at night from the outside lights because the blinds really just aren't enough to block it out.

There was no coffee. The nice coffee pot was in the room though.

the location, you literally walked about 400 feet to the traffic light, crossed the street and went right into the park and down to the beach!! easy, peasy the cleanliness of the rooms (you can smell it) with a mini kitchen I absolutely recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again the lack of an elevator or staff to help with baggage coffee maker but no filters or coffee no breakfast available

Even though this hotel is older and dated, the rooms are very clean and pretty spacious. We had two queen beds with a kitchenette and a small table with 4 chairs. We arrived early and asked if we could possibly check in. They were very accommodating as they immediately had our rooms cleaned so we could get in them. The pool area is old but nice. Lounge chairs could us some updated cushions as they were faded and very worn looking. Parking was small area. Hotel is very convenient to everything in the area. It’s a good value for location

PROS: - Excellent front desk Management - Amber and Paige are kind and excellent communication - Excellent cleaning service, housekeeping is very kind and courteous - Pleasant smell in room (no moldy, smoky, or musky odors) - Modern furnishing (comfortable plush bed) - spacious large unit (not clausterphobic) - Upgraded kitchenette with VERY modern luxury appliances (Our Place) not the cheap kind you find in an extended stay - Dishes, pots, pans, garbage bags, soaps, sponges much of everything you need - remote key code locks felt secure - So close the the beach!!! two entrances - (one on the left is closer, very short walking distance (beach entrance on the right is farther) CONS - My unit in particular had broken venetian blinds at the bottom so it was annoying not being able ot fully close the window - bathtub and bathtub sink had slow draining - the kitchenette wall was very thin since its built past the wall into the unit next door (poor insulation) so I could hear (only 1 night) a really loud obnoxious neighbor (but that's just them being super loud) Guests the following evening were not as loud - A/C unit didn't have heating option, it surprisingly did get cold at night Punchline: Overall my stay was excellent, I had no regrets booking (except that one awkward night hearing a guest screaming loud and slamming doors but that's to be expected)

Place looks nice but I got bitten up by bed bugs. I travel weekly for work all over Florida, and have for over 17 years. Only one other time have I got bitten by bed bugs, and it was 2 bites. I got bit all over head to toe at this place! So I’m not giving a positive review for this hotel. Also no elevator, water heater/boiler was not working properly either. Very out dated on plumbing. Terrible lighting in the bathroom. The a/c is too small to cool the room so never shut off or cooled down.

Great location, very dated inside but stocked with almost everything needed for a single or couple traveling for a few days in Boca. Parking on last day was a challenge...it looked like there was at least 1 abandoned car that needed to be towed. Maybe use a parking tag or paper on the dash for guests and residents esp in high season like Spring Break.

It was a decent 70s style upgrade to contemporary type of establishment. It could’ve used a little bit more improvement. You could tell they’re running on a low budget.

This was not a place I would stay again. Bathroom was clean, but room was not nice. Old, old furniture that did not all match and mattress was terrible. AC operated but could not get room temperature right. Thought I was getting a value but way overpaid.

This place was a dump. It was filthy. I never in my three days saw a single staff member. My TV didn’t work. It is completely dated. They need new pillows new linens, new bed coverings. The blinds in the front of my room didn’t close completely so I was always worried somebody was looking in. There should be curtains on the front window. The air conditioner sounded like a race car every time it started up and then it would run for a minute and turn off. It was near the beach, so that’s cool and the area around. It was nice and it seems safe aside from that, I would not recommend it.

The Room had loose tiles on the floor, a damaged sofa which had been covered with a dirty sofa cover, all of the furniture including the bed were old, scratched and felt unclean. The bathroom seemed clean and i had hot water for my shower. The ac was old and when it kicked on it was very noisy. There were limited hours that office staff were available. I left my phone charging cable in the room upon depositing my keyin the key drop box. I called right away. I had to leave 4 phone messsges about it within the first day offering to pay to have it shipped to me. Nobody returned my call. I called during the office hours and spoke to a lady. She assured me she would check with house keeping and call me back the next day. She never called. I think this place does not provide good service, they overcharge for the rooms, this place does not properly clean the rooms or keep them updated with clean furniture, and i think they offer a sub par facility. I would not recommend this facility.

Excellent stay, would gladly stay again. In fact, I did stay again after my cruise - I didn't want to look for anything else, because I was very satisfied with this property. It is only a 5 minute walk from a beach, 15 min walk from a interisting/unusual local natural park (one intercoasta with mangroves and walking paths, lookout tower, etc, and one on the beach with a small artificial reef/fish) and aquarium. The swimming pool is large, clean, uncrowded. The room is dated, but very spacious and has a kitchen. You can hear some street traffic if windows are open, but not much if you close them. The price was good, too. You don’t have to use the car to go to the beach and swim. Guards on beach, it is shallow and safe.

No coffee/tea is provided. The clerk that checked us in was very friendly. The desk hours are very limited however. Check in is at 3pm but we noticed clerk was gone around 530 pm. Office wasn't open Sunday until 10 am. It was colder during our stay and the room had no heat. The beds were only covered in a blanket, no comforter/ bedspread. Very thin pillows. The loveseat was covered with a sheet, the loveseat was ripped and looked very worn and old. The tiled floor also looked quite worn. The whole place needs to be painted. We had a gouge in the bathroom wall and the doorknob was falling off. Could see dried on liquid on the wall of the toilet. The shampoo provided had mold on the inside top. The pool cushions are worn/faded. The place doesn't look like the pictures. It probably looked like that 20 yrs ago but it is obvious that no money is being put into upkeep here. Feel very disappointed since the rating was over 4/5. I find it hard to believe these reviews are legit. I paid over 250/ night for a very disappointing hotel.

Ocean Lodge is old but clean and comfortable. Room was large and clean. Location is great, quiet and the beach is right across the street. Nice newly renovated kitchen nock with a 2 burner stove top. We would consider staying here for a longer time.

Ocean Lodge is old but clean and comfortable. Room was large and clean. Location is great, quiet and the beach is right across the street. Nice newly renovated kitchen nock with a 2 burner stove top. We would consider staying here for a longer time.

Should have received an email with late check in instructions but did not. Key was left outside the door but we were unaware of what the process would be and if we would even be able to check in at 10 pm. I had left 2 voicemails for the hotel as well without a return call.

We would definitely stay there again. It was clean and convenient. The location was great. Facility is a little older but great for our need.

The only reason for not having 5 stars - the furniture is very dated, and the mattress was super soft (I usually sleep on much harder/more supportive ones). Other than that, it's 5 star experience

The room was dated, hadn't been dusted on a bit and lacked adequate hot water for 2 people to utilize the shower. They provided limited kitchen supplies, no paper towel and no pool towels. The mattress.needed replacing as we slept in a whole on the middle. The pool was wonderful.amd.rhe location was fairly close to many areas of shopping and dining. The beach across the way is absolutely gorgeous. If you aren't going to spend a lot of time in the room, this place is a good value. If you have kids that need a place to hang and haber fun, this is probably not the place.

Was great for a 2 night stay. Affordable for the area, rooms were serviceable, free beach chairs and umbrellas to borrow. 5 minute walk to the beach. Close drive to dining at Mizner Park and Deerfield Beach.

Ocean Lodge has a great location, literally across the street from beautiful, protected beach area. It is also pretty reasonable. I may or may not stay there again - the rooms are dark and dated, but clean.

The office, although very casual, was super helpful and sweet. If you are picky about accommodations go pay more elsewhere but if you can live simply and just appreciate being near the ocean, this place is just right.

This property is an older building but it is kept very clean. The location is fantastic - you can walk across the street into a nice park on the beach! It is very close to downtown Boca Raton with lots of great restaurants and stores. The kitchenette has enough plates and utensils if you choose to make you own meals. This is a great value - furniture is okay… location, location #1

Nice older hotel that was very comfy and spacious. It was always quiet even with a pool. Loved the mini kitchen. Not the newest but by far the most relaxing. Will definitely stay there again.

This is probably the best property I know of and I've been to many along A1A that is clean safe spacious rooms and great staff you can't beat this property

The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. It was only a 3 minute walk to the beach. The pool was clean and patio area was inviting. I will definitely go back.

Our request for a handicapped bathroom booked 2 months in advance was ignored. Cleaned only every other day. Lazy management. There were bed bugs!

Stayed here for a week. Very safe and secure location. Large efficiency room and friendly staff. Best of all, South Florida and NO BUGS! Nice pool and short walk through South Beach park to the beach.

Very close to beach access(like one block). We went to see the sunrise. And went after dark to possibly see sea turtles(unfortunately didn’t) it was very easy.

Check-in/Check-out was smooth. We stayed 3 nights. Location was excellent, as was the price for the area. The room, basic, no frills, was clean and inviting. A drawback was that the room's A/C was not on when we got in so the room's air was really cloying. But once we turned on the A/C, it cooled the room quickly to a comfortable level. Unfortunately, the A/C never stopped (despite me setting the control to Auto) so the noise it made rendered sleep difficult. We didn't use any of the other amenities (like the stove - an edge of this was broken. With the pool just outside our room, the noise from outside easily permeated into our room. I don't see how this can be prevented. Fortunately, the noise outside ceased when it was sleep-time at night. We had little/no interaction with the staff except at check-out - which was easy. For our purposes, the hotel adequately served our needs and we would stay there again.

Ocean Lodge is managed gracefully by Elaine and Lucas. The Lodge is very clean and offers some sweet amenities - heated pool, gas fired grill and a pavilion. It's an old time property that feels like a step back in time. It's a very short walk to the beach. Beach chairs and a boogie board are available.

Property needs repairs and is outdated but the manager on the property was very nice and accommodating. Even though I paid for the room we did not stay because of mildew/mold smell- my friend has severe asthma and was concerned for her health. There was a sheet on the couch with dirty pillows. Room was adequate but not comfortable. Reasonable price for Boca but not as nice as picture shows- disappointed and did not stay

We needed to make a last minute change it was very difficult getting in touch with anyone.

Room smelled of cleaning chemicals and was impossible to stay there. Light in room not working. No staff to be seen. Don’t know why it gets good reviews.

The only thing that was good about this hotel was the location. I wouldn't recommend staying unless you like old, out dated, and roaches.

Perfect little place to stay it's nothing fancy but it's cute & quiet. For longer stays make sure to bring your own little comforts and if you plan on cooking make sure to bring everything with you. (Seasonings,papertowels,dish soap & sponge, small pot set etc.)

Lovely spot, easily walkable to the beach. But everything else requires a car trip. Some wear and tear in the room, but overall it's a very pleasant place to stay.

The room was clean. However, i saw a few creepy crawlers (ahhh, roaches) during my weekend stay. Other than that, my vacation was great. I loved the location so close to the beach.

For the price I paid I could have got an actual hotel on the sand on the beach. Also while booking it says book now pay on site that doesn’t happen they charge the card same day. The staff only works until like 5. I did like that they had beach chairs you can use.

The hotel provided a great location to access Boca and other beaches--provided us with a small quiet room, small pool, kitchenette (though basic coffee pot micro and a couple cups/utencils).Furnishings need updates as does the property in general--kept clean but a few loungers torn, and bathroom dingy, rusted. I got a pretty good deal, but I got what I paid for. Efficiency, with kitchenette, all fine, but mattress/bed ‘creeeeked’ every time I sat on it. Location was good; 135 yards to beach entrance and another 135yards to the beach. Reception person was not friendly and not available when needed. Supposed to be there 10am-5pm, but never saw him in the morning. Coffee maker was disgusting and unsafe, but another one was delivered after i asked twice (a misunderstanding). Good location, has some updates, but a patched bathroom door should be replaced and so should the bed. But for a cheap place, it was ok.

This small resort was perfect for my brief visit to SoFla to visit my daughters. Basically across the street from the beach yet super quiet. A nice refuge. Great spot.
