This is an older hotel but I must say it’s very clean inside. I had no issues whatsoever with our room, clean all around, comfortable bedding. Nice work area. The breakfast was not great, eggs were not eggs but the bacon was good. Just small selection, less than I anticipated. This hotel was a Perfect value for the money!

Everything was clean and the staff was helpful. There was a problem with the bathroom that needed to be fix which we advised the staff. Unfortunately it could be fixed right away.

The staff was helpful and all very kind. Rooms were clean and with microwave and fridge we were able to enjoy the local community and dinners and keep our leftovers.

Room was cheap but you get what you pay for. Bugs in the bathroom and on the curtains, carpet is warped and a tripping hazard, drawers stick and don't want to work. Housekeeping is lackluster, literally just changed the trash and fresh towels. Breakfast buffet and Customer service is great though!

Wifi was weak and it was unsecure. The free breakfast was good.

Great little inexpensive motel. Slightly older but in good shape and obviously taken care of. The room was clean, the AC worked great and the water was hot with good pressure. Would recommend for a quick overnight stay.

Nothing about this property is a plus. It is run down and sketchy. The whole property is run down and the same price as nicer hotels across the street. The beds were horrible with large pits on both sides. The whole hotel smells like weed. The police were there for a disturbance having to kick someone out, 5 officers is not what you want to see coming back from dinner. The front desk had their kids in the room next to us, running wild with the door open and TV blasting. I don’t recommend at all!

I was initially ready to give this place a 7.5, maybe even an 8, but unfortunately my experience changed. First, the positives. Check-in was smooth and the woman at the front desk was extremely nice and cheerful. She was welcoming and helpful and honestly deserves a 10 for customer service. I didn’t get her name, but she was the white lady with glasses. I also hope by the time this review is posted the AC in the lobby will be working. The room was a decent size for the price and overall clean. The door was a little hard to open, but it wasn’t a major issue. Parking was good. Breakfast was okay, but if breakfast starts at 7:00 a.m., the food should already be warming or ready by that time, not just starting to be prepared. The issue came when I checked the refrigerator. When I opened the freezer to put in a bottle of water, I found a frozen roach inside. I informed the front desk and the receptionist came to remove it and explained they had sprayed for bugs that Friday. Part Two We had to extend our stay one more day because my husband’s truck was not ready. Later while watching TV in the new room, I saw another roach crawling where the tv was and this one alive. After seeing roaches in two different rooms, my rating dropped significantly. I appreciated the kindness of the front desk staff, but I believe some form of compensation would have been appropriate.

Internet was mid but the rest of the stay was great, the room was comfy and spacious, we didn’t test out the pool because it was chilly during our stay but it looked very clean when we went to check it out. Also the people at the front desk was very friendly and helpful as well.

Room was decently clean and bedding seemed clean but we needed to use pull out sofa. The condition of sofa and mattress was horrible! Large stains. Totally gross! My adult son and i slept in same bed due to this. I advised the staff next morning and she said the room shd have been out of order and not given out. She offered no refund or real apology just that it was out of order yet the bed was made and fresh towels. There were 2 bugs and salt/pepper under the tv...quite dusty on shelving....For $88 i would expect much better!

You should inform people booking a room if the facility is being used as a residence, the booking said Hilton so I assumed it would be up to the standards of the Hilton corporation. The room had areas of peeling paint, a large hole in the wall in the bathroom and the lobby smelled horrible as there were people cooking in their rooms, there were also people walking in the hall with robes and slippers making it very awkward and u comfortable. I would have left but we were exhausted due to a 12 hour drive to get there. Very disappointing to say the least.

Stayed there for one night. This is nice little hotel located in a very quiet place, not very far from some restaurants.

Good selection of food, fruit, juice and coffee. Room was nice and clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. the bed was simply WAY too soft, not enough support, woke up with sore back. The mini fridge didn't have a freezer compartment to keep our blue ice packs frozen. Hotel was very frustrating to find at night, the sign was unexpectedly tiny and poorly lighted, had to call the desk to get directions to the building.

The staff truly made my stay! Shayna in the kitchen was amazing. She made sure that myself and every other guest I saw her interacting with, wanted for nothing. The front desk staff both morning and overnight, were courteous and were more than happy to answer any questions I had. The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars is the wifi connection was spotty at times. Made streaming tedious at times.

This hotel was horrible believe tone having prostitution going in the room next to us 103 I went to the front office to let them know what was going on only for him PAUL to tell me that he don’t know what to tell me are what I wanted him to do about it at this point I think he maybe had a cut in on the action !! I told him that there was loud sexual noise slamming doors every twenty to thirty minutes you I can hear the door slam after they was done then the side door slam … them twenty to thirty minute after that you hear the sexual loud noise of screaming and moaning so he said he check the cameras and all he saw was one person that he let in the side door so after I went to the front desk about ten minutes latter here it goes again so I called the front desk only for him to tell me that he was going to call them to tell them to quite down some 😳so I asked to be moved cause me and my husband had a long drive back to Louisiana and we needed to get some rest well he told me that he was sorry cause they was completely booked about Two hours later here it go again this was the most horrific stay I ever had in my life not to mention room was full of hair in the bathroom and on the bath towel DONT RECOMMEND THOS HELL EVER !!! It is managed by a company called "GF Hotels & Resorts". Their website is gfhotels.com and you can go get their contact information and tell them how you feel about the place. The rooms feel neglected and need serious upgrading. Carpeting was deplorable. One spot had a disgusting patch glued down that did not match the rest of the carpet. We were so grossed out about the carpet we used towels to cover areas of the carpet so we did not have to walk on it. Grout in shower was peeling off everwhere. Sheetrock was exposed in certain areas. Bathroom vent fan barely worked and there were signs of moisture damage everywhere on the ceiling of the bathroom. Very unpleasant smell coming from HVAC wall unit when blowing regular air so we had to keep the AC going the whole time. The wall HVAC unit was beyond whipped. Front casing was falling off and high fan option did not work. One bed had the appropriate mattress cover under the sheets the other bed did not. Staff was decent and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was about a 2 out of 5. Best thing was the coffee.

Decent breakfast not much variety but for the price it's what I expected. checking in I don't remember her name but the front desk clerk was absolutely amazing. Super friendly made me feel welcome. Huge downside, The beds are hard as a rock so be careful with that but over all not bad for what we needed for a wrestling trip.

Front desk person offered a refund but I said it was unacceptable do to the fact it was almost 10pm at night so she looked again and said she has a room she ran to check if room was okay she said it was and gave us the room when we got into room we found ROACHES running around desk and tv we went back to front desk asked for a refund and left. We went to 3other hotels before we got a room.

The room hasn’t been checked. It was dusty and dirty. I would not walk on carpet barefoot or with socks. Also the cheap flooring in the room was slippery with whatever they cleaned it with. The hallway heading to the room smelled of sweat. I would not recommend this hotel. The guest services (front desk) were very pleasant but I know they don’t handle the room cleanliness.

I can not say enough good things about the staff and the cleanliness of this establishment. Professional and courteous and always a positive attitude. The 24hr gym and hot breakfast were definitely a plus as well!

The staff is excellent! I had a room that was permeated with cat odor, & I am highly allergic to cats. I did ask the next morning for a room change but they were booked. I went out & brought alot of sprays (air sanitizers) & had to buy alot of allergy medications luckily I didnt have to use my Epi pen

We checked out early, leaving behind the last nights deposit. They had sprayed some chemicals during the day… the hallway and room spilled like a chemical plant, my children had an immediate respiratory reaction. Needed to attended to my children respiratory issues and find other accommodations rather than fight with Expedia or Hotel management. Lesson learned!

The room was clean, but the air conditioning unit dis not work properly, leaving the room maoist and humid. The sheet felt wet and damp. We only stayed 1 night and will not go back.

The staff was extremely helpful when I needed directions to a local nature preserve. The room was equipped with all of the amenities you might need while traveling. Thanks for the free wifi!

The room has seen better days. Looked like someone stole the artwork. The mattress was an old spring mattress. The bathroom wasn't very clean but the shower was nice.

My room was very noisy. It was a disabled room with a connecting door. The next room had a group of loud people. I could hear every word.

It met our needs ~ the staff was delightful, the bed Was very comfortable, the pool and fitness room were clean and available, the coffee was good ~ location was great for dinner and a movie and shopping! Biggest problem was the room seemed a lil damp (?) Maybe a dehumidifier would help ? Its a tricky balance this close to the sea :) Great value for location.

Close proximity to HHI. They did not have the king bed room that I reserved and blamed expedia.

The staff were very helpful and nice! Their breakfast that is included was by far the best I’ve seen, and tasted! My family and I enjoyed our stay there and will definitely pick it again when we’re in the area.

The staff was good . We had to change rooms each day of our three day stay. The first room the mold smell was very strong. The second nights room the A/C broken. The third room was ok still had mold smell. But the staff was accommodating. Will not stay there again.

Some of the carpet is worn and stained giving a sense of uncleanliness.

We saw many cockroaches in the room. I was told they would issue a full refund.

The elevator was broken. Our room was on the first floor. Very noisy. Workers slamming doors at 4am.Room smelled musky. King bed felt very used.When getting breakfast, the employees where also helping themselves to the free breakfast. Had to wait behind them to make a waffle. The ice machine was always empty. We will not stay at this property again!

Smoke detector hanging from ceiling by wire. Strong smell from carpet. By 8am out of yogurt and only white bread for toast. No pastries. Worst Hilton property I've ever booked.

We needed a place to stay at the last minute for the weekend. We found the Okatie hotel for a reasonable price and booked it. The hotel staff was super nice, checked us in and out no problems, and answered any questions about the area we had.

We stayed in 3 rooms all.of them with cockroaches in beds and bathrooms. Nice people.

The room had roaches in the room

I was moved five times to different rooms because of no TV working, no A/C, A/C flooded the room, dirty room and last room the A/C was so loud I didn’t get any sleep. Additionally there were roaches in that last room crawling in the bathroom and on the bedroom rug. Management refunded less than 30% of my total cost. I was there Sunday through Wednesday and got a total of 7 hours sleep which could have negatively impacted my business meetings. I informed my business partners to never put a client at that hotel.

The elevator was broke when we arrived. We were "upgraded" to a room with a Jacuzzi jet tub next to the bed. It didn't work of course and was tacky anyway. While we did receive new towels daily they only make the bed every fourth day ( we found out when we returned late the second night and found the bed unmade-not a problem had we known).

Late check-in and was given a King Rm. on the 3rd Fl. And the elevator was out of service during the stay. My wife found lingerie left by a prior guest under the bed. The room A/C was marginal, not cold. The hotel was also being used to house foreign workers instead of temporary guests. The location is well overdue for a major renovation.

Totally unacceptable and so below standards for the area.

We found the room to be subpar - being clean both bathroom & sleeping area.

Needs updating, not clean. Room was humid the whole time, even with the AC on. Front desk staff were very friendly. Would not recommend this hotel. I have stayed at much nicer facilities for less money.

First ... the room entry lock didn't work, then the front desk re-set the cards ... still didn't work. Issued new cards and re-set the lock ... finally worked. Then went to use the toilet ... water wouldn't refill ... couldn't fix it. Moved us to another room across the hall. Heard the ice machine every morning about 6am. Bugs in the room! went for coffee in the morning ... no cups available at the buffet ... was told we need to go back to our room and use the cups from the room. Best I can say is the Front Desk staff was friendly. This could be one of the worst hotels I have stayed in!!!

This hotel is a little bit hard to find, but it's a good value for the money. The staff are very friendly and service oriented. They serve a pretty good breakfast each morning so you can get going with your day on a full stomach.

Elevator not working last inspection 2020, toilet not anchored to floor and not flushing correctly. Cable cord plate covers loose exposing wires. Dresser drawers stayed open. Room over deordarized, breakfast sub par.

The person at the front desk was very helpful with a problem I was having with a gift card. Although I was unable to use it this visit, she took the time to find instructions on how to use it, printed it out for me, and then brought it to my room. She was wonderful.

Worst Hilton experience ever!!! Awful property, dirty room, tv wasn’t working and the employees were upset and gave us nasty attitude because we asked them to help us make it work. Do not stay at this property save your money and rent somewhere else. The free continental breakfast was a joke, not even decent coffee and had to leave and find food near by. NEVER again.

The pool was not family friendly .. no lounge chairs.. empty beer cans sat on a table for 4 days.. a window was wide open from the pool into the utility room on the ground floor, it stayed open day and night.

Chela was FANTASTIC! She was the best front desk agent and always had the best recommendations from food, activities and places to visit! The hotel was great! Breakfast was good, pool was nice especially on super hot days. Overall the facility was wonderful! Highly recommend!

The staff was helpful. The mattress on both beds were not pillow top and not comfortable. Some pieces of baseboard had broken off wall. The room darkening curtains was not designed to block light effectively. There was a heavy perfume like odor when we first entered the room. The toilet made a loud whining sound when flushed.

The room had used drinks in refrigerator. Wash rag hung up was dirty. It was outdated. I never knew eggs could be so watery. There was a burned up van in parking lot with flowers on it. People were loud in hallways after 10 pm. Soap used from previous occupant was still in the tub.

Friendly staff, but tub does not drain tile falling off floor old towels sink does not hold water. It is time to put money back in.

Nice place to stay and reasonably priced

We were also informed that the hotel had been purchased by a luxury hotel property near by and used as a dorm to house their international interns. Any rooms that are not needed for that purpose are then offered to the public as hotel rooms. This makes the property a lively social setting around 10:00 pm when the hospitality interns get off from their shift. Doors are propped open and lively conversations echo the hallways. We were in for a special treat the evening we stayed when the shuttle bus used to ferry the interns to the other property caught fire and burned in the parking lot in the wee hours of the morning in the parking spot next to where we were parked just hours before. This coupled with black mold in the bathroom made our stay particularly memorable. When we inquired about some form of compensation due to the unavailability of the room class we booked and the disturbance we were told that there wasn’t anything that they could do because we booked through a third party. This property should be pulled from your website as it is more of a hostile than a hotel. Will be contacting hotels.com for a refund. If you do decide to stay here be careful when leaving the property. There is no stop sign in the exit from the hotel, 2 lanes of crossing traffic from each direction

Staff was very nice; condition of the room was not great. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom needed work. It looked like mold along the caulking in the tub. I found someone’s headband on the floor in the room. The fridge was nice to have in the room. There was a hot breakfast but not a lot of options. Once again, the staff was very friendly.

The hotel is extremely run down from the lobby to our room. The lobby is dirty, hallways and rooms are all scuffed up and desperately require a fresh cost of paint. The bathtub/shower was dirty. Our rooms were not made for the next day. Very, very disappointed.

The full breakfast in the morning was great, coffee was pretty good as well. The front staff made check in very easy, plenty of parking. Only downfall is difficulty getting out on 278 since the on ramp to Hilton Head is practically right there. No fault to the property

On the morning of our departure, I was picking up my shoes and there were 2 small roaches!! Appalling! The breakfast was awful, hard boiled eggs that weee frozen, milk and yogurt were frozen, the waffle maker didn’t work, the food was gross. I told the front desk about the horrible room and dirt and roaches. The front desk lady said: “ oh, I’ll try to make a note on that”!

I would not stay comfortable with my family-spouse and 3 kids here again. Its good for a quick overnight stop without kids. It is a very old location. The pillows seem to be just stuffed with cotton, very old and nasty. I did wake up the next morning with about 20 red bumps/bites around each of my ankles. There was mold on the ceiling above the shower. The smell all around wasnt that great. The queen beds seem small. The breakfast was your average hot breakfast, but get down there early before its gone. There was a roach on the counter by the juice machine. The staff are wonderful people.

Pros: * Clean sheets (other than a few stains) * Clean bathroom * Spacious room * Extra mini fridge * Friendly, helpful staff * Continental breakfast Cons: * Major humidity control issue. I'll elaborate below. * Some of the guests did not seem like short term guests. Some were hanging out in the stair well and leaving their room doors ajar. There was a strong odor of cooking food and marijuana that wafted through the air from the open room doors and stair wells. Humidity Control issue: There is currently (as of April 2025) a significant humidity control issue throughout the hotel, but particularly on the second floor. This led to the hard sections of the floor and also carpeting being perpetually wet and sticky. There were strong musty and Pine-Sol odors throughout the second floor causing my eyes and sinuses to sting. The HVAC in the room could cool and heat, but it could not remove the moisture from the air and the relative humidity outside wasn't that high. I can't recommend this hotel. Be sure to read the more recent reviews that describe similar experiences.

The staff, both gals at the front desk, were accommodating and friendly, as were the breakfast staff. The breakfast was good. The hotel is old, and badly in need of updating. The hall carpet smelled musty. We had only 2 wash cloths, 2 hand towels, and 2 bath towels, all rather thin. The shampoo appeared to be open and used. We were disappointed in our choice and expected better accommodations for the price we paid.

Someone had propped a back door and front desk said she couldn't conrol that. Someone was running through the hall. They ran out of fruit at breakfast most days. Plates at breakfast too small for waffles. The tub spout was not attached to tub wall.

This place isn’t terrible but it’s not as good as the reviews and ratings that it’s receiving. It’s getting above a 7 and it should be in the 6 range. It’s a little noisy compared to other hotels in the area. The biggest discrepancy I noticed was the musty smell and room feel. The last time I stayed my door handle almost came off as well. My honest rating for this place is a 6 out 10 and that’s really only because price and location are decent but you get what you pay for and this place is sitting in the average section for hotel stays.

Perfect location for an event I attended.

Restaurants are not close

When we walked in the lobby all we could smell was curry. Lots of pot smoking outside. Noise in close by rooms went on till 4:00 am. Singing, music and partying. Not impressed.

This was our 3rd time staying at this hotel. We love the staff! Especially the lady on 3-11 shift. She is AWESOME!

It was horrible the rooms were so nasty, there was a roach on the wall. You could write in the greesy dust on the lamps and night stands. I sent pictures to Expedia

i was given first floor across from ice machine it was bad , up all night with the noise there were other rooms available , very few cars in parking lot breakfast was very bad, the eggs were cooked so much they rolled around on the plate

I thought the price was decent and the bed was comfortable but my only real complaint I had was the room was a little musty. You get what you pay for so can’t complain too much. 4/5 stars

Nice and quiet

Not a really good place to stay. Outside of the ran down conditions and the roaches, they were fumigating a room across the hall and left a loud fan on in the hall ALL NIGHT! Add to that, guys in hazmat suits riding in the elevator with you. Really bad experience. I checked out the 1st night of a 3 night stay and found somewhere else to stay.

lots of lingterm residents, the entire place smells of food , curry , even in my room, noise, smoking right outside the doors , horrible food, even the coffeee was weak and not even warm , employees are lazy, sit around in the dining area and do nothing .

There were insects, i.e. roaches crawling on the floor near the sink area and bathroom. It smelled of food being microwaved all night and lots of noise as theey hsve hospitality interns living in the hotel. Do not stay here! Run!

The customer service was exceptional.The room was clean but bedding and towels had an oder to them. I was happy that in a pinch the accomodated us with a up graded room.

The people were wonderful.
