Rom smelled of mildew especially when air was turned up.

Entire property was clean. Everyone was so friendly I love the room set up.

Only thing I didn’t like is the room became very moist from the air conditioner

The price was right in the right location. This hotel desperately needs a makeover. Nonexistent lobby, they had coffee behind a locked door. Not sure if you had to pay for it or not. Overall the room was nice with a kitchen set up. Although not sure about the bathroom cleaning, there was an odor.

The room was so damp and moist, that the carpeting was gross to walk on barefoot. The room smelled of that damp, mildew smell the second you walked in and lingered. Even the sheets felt damp the whole stay. My clothes smelled of mildew the whole time from being in the room. If you'd wanted clean towels or sheets, you needed to go to the desk to ask for them. I will not be staying at this hotel again, it just felt gross the entire stay.

Slight water leak at the base of the toilet. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken. I notified the desk to avoid any further issues.

The staff were both very nice and helpful. We went into two different because the first room did not have outlets on both sides of the bed. We noted that in both rooms everything felt damp, no matter what settings we tried on the air conditioner. It was pretty gross. Staff good, but hotel needs a total re-do. Would not stay there again unless they have done a major renovation.

The staff were most professional and kind. They appeared tentative to my needs and address my question in a professional and caring way. The room was clean and fresh. That facility was quiet and pleasant. I will go back again and soon.

The room was amazing and had an extra set of towels! We had our first hotels fire situation and everyone was safe and able to go back in the room. So happily everyone is safe. I suggest a secure pool system. Someone came 8nto the pool area was very profane and eventually explicit in her conversation so i had to leave the pool area with my. Year old. It was scary how rude her conversation was and she creeped in the pool area. This was not a patron.

Quiet, clean, convenient. However, they should check the maintenance of the kitchen appliances. Only one burner worked on the stove and then that one quit just before I left. I didn't bother to report it because I wasn't using it much and was only there for a week. I didn't want service people in my room during my stay. But if a stove is important to you, check the burners before you unpack. Beds very comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient location. Surprisingly quiet for it's location near the highway.

The room was stinky. It smelled like cat pee, and cigarettes. The carpet felt damp as if they tried to shampoo it, but it only made the smell worse thankfully, I was only there for work, but the room smelled awful. I could barely tolerate it.

Great location and distance from stores and resturants. No more than 20 minute ride the longest. I reserved or booked a suite and received a regular room. It was small. Bed was small Queen bed. I love the location and the price for the room. It was exceptional. The room could use a little detailing as in the chip wall painting, stained ceiling etc. Also the room could use a charger port as in if someone left their charger block, the room could have charger pieces to charge phones in case of emergency.

It was a place to stop when we were done driving! Room was comfortable, bed was comfortable, cute little kitchen that we didn’t use I woke up to sticks poking me in the bed. No I did not check it out before I jumped in - I was too cold and tired. Also the tub was dirty with a nasty dirty crack - so that killed the morning shower.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean and organized. Toilet kept running in room housekeeping. Knocked on door at 9:00 a.m. not happy about that one. Check out time is 11:00

Convenient for visiting folks at Sun City. Kitchenette was convenient. Laundry and spacious room made it suitable for a longer stay. We had no suitcase stand, my big bag was on the floor and the other suitcase was on the chair.

During our stay we had two fire alarms where we had to evacuate the rooms. One at approximate 11:30PM and the second at 2:30am. The staff did not clearly communicate the cause of the issue or provide clear instructions on where to rally in the parking lot, or when it was safe to return to the room. Furthermore, following the alarms, the water was turned off to the entire building, including all showers toilets and sinks. The staff offered a bottle of water to my wife and I as compensation.

We have been to this hotel many times. and it never disappoints. I want to give a shout out to Carly at the front desk. She went over and above to help us with everything we needed. The LVT in our room was so slick from the cleaner used and there were several things broken - the drawer on the dresser, the privacy curtains, the towel holder and false drawer pull in the bathroom. The kitchen area and fridge were nice but we forgot to turn on our ice maker and there were no ice machines in the hotel. Overall very disappointing for this part of Bluffton.

It’s a tough time of the year. It’s been hot and very humid and when we entered our room, it had a musty smell. Not overwhelming, but still there. Otherwise we’d like the staff, they’re helpfulness and the way the room was appointed.

I feel that cleaning only on the 7 day of your stay is horrible and having to retrieve our own towels is sorry for the hotel. Too much money is paid not to have rooms cleaned daily or even get clean towels

Raven from the front desk was spectacular. She checked us in and from the beginning she was very professional and it took under five minutes for check-in.Raven, was always there if we needed help with anything. She was pleasant friendly and accommodating. I only wished I could’ve given her a tip for being outstanding to me and my family

I stayed at Candlewood Suites for two nights while attending my father’s memorial service, and it was one of the most frustrating and disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. When I checked in, I was informed there was no hot water, but I was reassured it was “fixed” and they were just waiting for the “glue to dry”—whatever that means. Glue? Really? Hot water either works or it doesn’t. Spoiler: it didn’t work for over 24 hours, which meant I had to shower at my father’s widow’s home before the memorial. Completely unacceptable. Next, the room key didn’t work. I had to go back and forth to the front desk multiple times to get into my room. This became such an ongoing issue that the staff finally gave me a master key to the hotel, which honestly felt like a massive security risk. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the room wasn’t even the one I reserved. I paid extra for a king bed but was given a queen instead. The TV didn’t work and had to be set up by staff, and the phone in the room was broken, so anytime I needed anything (which was often), I had to physically go downstairs to the desk. After dealing with all these issues, I asked for a discount for my troubles. The front desk handed me a card saying I should contact Expedia, who would then contact the hotel to approve a refund. I followed their instructions, only to have Expedia tell me days later that the hotel refused to approve the

It would have been appropriate to notify us that the elevator was broken and our room was on 4th floor. The clerk said it had been broken since Monday and today is Saturday.i felt fortunate it was just one night but this was not a great introduction to staying with Candlewood suites.

Another guest told us where they kept the refills and low and behold there was propane. Employee at desk was just too lazy to be bothered. Also, was granted a late check out but still got locked out of my room while loading my vehicle. Actually not a bad place. Just needs a bit of maintenance and better more caring employees. Some were actually quite rude.

Since we booked through Expedia they would Not honor our king size reservation.charged us for a king size bed. 2.they also would not honor AAA or AARP for any discounts. 3. One of the lamps was not working and they never provided any room service (did not empty garbage cans).

Staff was extremely helpful. Room was very clean. Room darkening curtains were better than most hotels. A chair designed for working at a desk was provided. large refrigerator was provided as well as cooking stove. If you need a soft mattress, I suggest bringing extra cushioning. The mattress was a pillow top but very hard. There is no complimentary breakfast, you have the cooking facilities to cook your own meals and avoid cost of eating out.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very clean. One thing I was kind of disappointed about is that there was no continental breakfast. However, they did have free coffee, which was good.

The bathroom was up to date and clean. There was lotion, shampoo and bathwash. The room was very spacious. Upon leaving it was easy out as well. There was no breakfast offered at this site but we found a Cracker Barrel across the street. Great place to stay, I would recommend it.

The front desk manager was great however after trying 5 rooms I had to check out due to the incredibly strong mold odor. Ceiling tile in hallway had visible mold

Just average for me. Definitely needs an upgrade. There was a musty smell upon entering the building. Thankfully on the second floor there was no smell.

We had booked the reservation at this hotel and had a confirmation number. When we arrived at the hotel, they told us that the hotel was overbooked and there is nothing they could do. They told us that they were going to refund us our money and never did. Now, we have to work with Expedia to chase our money down. Stay away from this property.

The paint was peeling off of the wall in the bedroom. The air conditioner was so loud we never slept!! The bed sheet was ripped and there were no cups for coffee!!!! Terrible

The internet access was horrible, even with the WiFi. The staff is outstanding. The pool water was dirty, there’s baby alligators hanging around the gas grills that could be very dangerous. Other than that it was a pleasant stay

The bed was not comfortable. We went out and bought a foam topper. The pool was nice. The hotel is a little dated but it was clean.

Love my room. It was comfy and cozy. Felt like a home away from home.

A homeless? persons in lobby all day utilizing a luggage cart and table. This hotel was misrepresented on your website. We will never return here

I’m always worried about hotels and the cleanliness, especially of the room. I was pleasantly surprised and comfortable that my worry was in vain. It would have been nice if they were USB outlets.

The entry floor-kitchen was sticky!!! Needed cleaning.

It was a good price and good place to stay.

First non smoking room smelled so badly of smoke we had to ask for another room. Second one had no remote for the tv the recliner was broke and there were no sheets blankets or pillows for pull out couch. When we went back down to the front desk all they could give us was a set of sheets. Not even a mattress cover. Yuck.

It was a pretty good experience. Customer service was top notch. Room was a little dated but overall it was a great experience and will be returning.

Lanisha The Assistant General Manager was extremely helpful and gave me a very quiet room as I requested. It was an "accessible" room and the layout was good. The beds could be softer, but I put the blanket under the sheet and used a blanket of my own for the top cover.

It was okay for a quick overnight stay. The front desk person was not the welcoming person.

Friendly staff, easy check in, had snack area available which was nice. Our room was good and clean but did smell like someone had been smoking in the room, even though it said it was a non smoking room. Also appeared to have a cigarette burn on one of the curtains. Otherwise we had no issues and enjoyed our stay.

We were delayed at check in by a first in front of us asking for the cheapest room rate for an extended period of time and also kept asking for discount coupons. Seems like people were living there long term

Air conditioning didn't work first night front desk clerk did nothing to help. I had to run to Walmart to buy a fan and it still was hot in room. Bathtub has rust stains, drain plug unhinged and broken and lots of scale built up. AC was fixed second night but miserable night sleep night before did not make up for it.

It was fine.
