Went to Sequoia National Park....the first thing you want to do is check-in and relax after a long day it was about 10:00 pm when we got there. Checked in went to our room and the first thing we saw when we walked in was roaches!!! We turned right back around and checked out asap we were not going to stay the 2 nights absolutely not!!! Imagine taking some home with you!! Also, did not feel safe at all there was peope hanging out on properly that looked like they were up to no good!!! We were stuck with no room with kids but luckily we found something else. The guy that checked us in/out was ok with giving us the refund I'm assuming because they have those guest that are ok with it and those that aren't! Worst experience ever!! Oh and didn't take pictures because all I wanted to do is get out of that room!!

This is the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed at but also one of the cheapest so you just need to have the right expectations for it I guess lol * Dirty floors with dead cockroaches * No soap, not even handwash * Bedding was full of cigarette burn holes * Homeless people begging me for money as soon I opened my hotel room door * Hotel parking lot is full of prostitutes and drug dealers * They only gave us one single towel for our whole family and it was dirty, covered in black streaks * No hot water for the shower * "Breakfast" is a protein bar, not sure why they pretend they offer breakfast * Ice machine was broken * No trash can in the room * The tv remote was missing so I went to the front desk to ask for one, got back to the room and realised she'd given it to me with no batteries in so had to go back again * Smoke alarm in room had been removed

The front desk has a plastic barrier with a small pass through for a credit card or money. The property is secured with a fence with a gate. It appeared that some of the people live here on a monthly basis and on the way to the room we had passed a prostitute and her client. We didn't stay here and the motel wouldn't refund my money.

Nothing Felt very unsafe. Stains on bedding, room smelled of weed, prostitution, people loitering around cars. We left within 10 mins of arriving. Was very sad to see young children staying here. Avoid at all costs!

Stole my cash deposit. At check in I paid a cash deposit of 50$. When I checked out the next morning they said I never paid a cash deposit and they didn’t give me my money back. A girl was there at check in the day before. When I checked out it was a different male person. Seems like a scam. Over 50 bucks. Don’t pay the deposit without a receipt and they have some sheet that it’s supposed to be marked on. That you paid a deposit.

That the door locked Hookers, constant vehicles in and out, doors slamming all night long, people calling for their lost dog starting at 5:30am, breakfast…granola bar and cold coffee.

This hotel is NOT safe, there were people shooting up drugs and selling meth. It's a drug and prostitution type hotel where there is a lot of movement Underage Children walking around shirtless and dirty facilities. There are lookouts just standing around. If you care for your life avoid this dump.

I wasn't really comfortable, only 1 towel was in the room, a thin blanket on the bed, which had a cigarette burn in it. You couldn't watch TV unless you make a purchase. I won't stay there again.

They advertise breakfast, but there is NO BREAKFAST! I managed to get a hot chocolate and a granola bar. That's all they had. This is very disappointing when the place advertising a breakfast and there is none. The girl in the office told me there would be a breakfast bar in the morning, but then in the morning, she says, "oh, this is all we have and this is how it's been for a long time". Please, don't advertise breakfast if you're not going to have one. The room was basically clean, but ill maintained. shower caulking peeling off, tub not clean, loose door handles in bathroom, shower knob loose and not secure, so overall it was OK, but I would not stay there again.

I was so nervous about the location and clientele i slept only about an hour during my stay and didn’t even shower before leaving immediately when the sun came up and i felt safe going to my car. Even then, the TV only allowed access to two channels unless we signed into a personal Amazon account, which was frustrating. The biggest issue was being woken up at 2:30 a.m. by a freight train horn that continued for about two hours, making it very difficult to get back to sleep. If you're looking for a fairly clean and inexpensive place to stay, this may work for you. Unfortunately, due to the inconveniences and noise, I won’t be staying here again.

The worst hotel we've been in for a while. Used toilet paper left in toilet. Had to go to the front for more as the host didn't bring it after the call. I paid for One night and for some reason I'm being overcharged, I was told it would be back in my account, it was but then taken right back out, my card was charged four times at 87.77 and it still hasn't been put back in my account, seem a little dishonest and unprofessional!!!!

The hot water took 30 minutes to warm up and there was prostitutes and hookers all over the facility and property coming and going it would just not what I wanted and I will never go back there and I go to Bakersfield three times a month and I will never stand that hotel again

It’s a little sketchy neighborhood, but I have been here for a while waiting on truck repairs… the room I have has been remodeled and has hard floors, excellent A/C, and a small yet clean bathroom, plus a good fridge and microwave. The only thing that would have been awesome is a small coffee machine and guest laundry… they have a large metal perimeter fence, and there are some not so well off people around this area, but the motel has been excellent. Just because the area is not the best does not mean you are going to have issues…use common sense and watch your surroundings, people, etc and you will do just fine. Also the WiFi is great, and great Verizon 5G cell reception as well. If you need to book a room here I would not hesitate if you are looking for some savings! Thanks!

Refrigerator was dirty, toilet dirty, mirror in bathroom dirty, hair still in drain of shower from last occupant, floors were not swept and mopped. Grimy. Sheets appeared to have wrinkles in them as if unchanged. No wash cloths and one hand towel and no shower floor towel. Fire alarm unattached and sitting on the AC unit. No place to put clothing. No unfolding stand to place luggage on. No drawer set. No place to set luggage except on the only table that everything needed to be placed on. People of aboutb 19 to 15 ea., loitering around and being loud in front of room door. Had to report the noise to front desk twice. Took about two hours for them to stop and go away. Very unrestful stay and unsafe feeling.

I have never felt more uncomfortable and unsafe in a hotel in my life. The room was unclean, handprints everywhere, toilet paper shoved into the peephole in the door, bedsheets were dirty as well. I have never felt more uncomfortable and unsafe in a hotel in my life. The room was unclean, handprints everywhere, toilet paper shoved into the peephole in the door, bedsheets were dirty as well. I requested a 2 bed room and asked for hood AC and a hot shower lol… The room was as expected and the AC did blow cold all night. They have a mini microwave in the room and a blow dryer as well. You can’t call out on their phones but if you need to you can you the front desk. Beds and sheets were clean and their were sufficient towels for two people even tho we brought our own there were both body wash and shampoo in the shower as well… Breakfast is as advertised just granola bars and coffee but the coffee was hot so for the price I was overly satisfied with this establishment and I’d have no problem staying here again!

Very loud guests. People arguing and fighting at 3am, cops called. Lots of screaming. Keeping us awake. No smoking facility yet the smell of marijuana lingered everywhere. It’s a pretty standard hotel. The most affordable hotel in an area that isn’t that nice or “beautiful”. Added parking gate for security is the main reason we chose this location. Breakfast coffee was good. Bedrooms were nice but not sound proof. Not a bad stay!

Let's just say that the area isn't the prettiest, but my room was really clean. Inside the property was chill no loud neighbors. Well worth it's price, I felt some kind way when I first got there. But you can't beat it for it's price.

I usually like to stay at Super 8 motels because I enjoy the breakfasts which almost always include to coffee and tea, cold fruit juices, yogurt, cold cereals, hot instant cereals, hard boiled eggs and a waffle maker. This facility only offered, coffee and tea, granola bars and hot cereal packages (no bowls). Ind addition there were no tables and chairs provided for eating this meager meal.

A good value stay. Everything was fine except for the tub drainage. As you shower the water will drain extremely slowly down the drainage. At the end of the shower you are standing on two feet of soapy water.

I am pleasantly surprised to be worrying this review. The property was gated due to its location but I felt totally safe. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff was great. We came in late and left early so didn't really interact with staff much but they were great. They have an electric car plug in which is extremely nice for those that need it. For the very minimal price and location near the fair grounds, I would absolutely stay there again. We just needed a cheap place to stay for one night and this fit the bill perfectly.

We got what seems to be a remodeled room which was nice clean good bed we stayed there for a night, but the place is a little sketchy and some of the ppl who I saw staying over, even tho it’s gated it didn’t feel safe to stay there more than a day definitely you get what you pay for

Property is enclosed by a fence, entrance gate lets you enter and leave, spacious room with one bed, clean and simple room, refrigerator and micro wave, lots of pillows running from soft to hard, location of hotel is in a quiet and dark area at night, but safe. Breakfast was very very simple, coffee, orange juice, breakfast bars, some other items and oatmeal. Staff is excellent checking in and out, informing me that if I need anything feel free to call front desk. I was leery of the location, but after staying here, I would definitely repeat. I felt safe. Thank you to the lady registering me into the hotel, friendly and very helpful.

We arrived after driving from Missouri at 1030 at night and the motel was completely gated no way to get in . Felt like I was going to get shot it’s was south Bakersfield where we have never been and would of known it was in the worst scariest part of town

The lady at the front desk was incredibly polite, accommodating and helpful. The room was very clean and updated. I felt very secure on the property because of their gated entrance. I would stay there again.

Gate and fencing around the area, made it feel like a prison. I know it’s to help keep the homeless out, but wouldn’t stay there again.

We had a 6 day trip and this was the worst hotel to stay in. There was a tile flooring throughout and it was very cold (imagine stepping down barefoot on a cold winter day), wish they had a carpet flooring like other hotels and the tile floor had 2 dirty shoe prints clearly visible. We could also hear music from the nearby room. The bathroom was so small that opening and closing the door was a challenge with out hitting the commode. Only a small to medium size person would fit in the shower without touching the walls. Breakfast had just juice, coffee and some microwavable small packets of whatever. The only plus was the great customer service, they were very caring and even offered us some tea as extras while leaving.

Staff was great. Immediately gave me a different room when I discovered the room assigned had not yet been cleaned and bed was unmade. Second room was very clean. Quite noisy. Near busy hwy & train tracks. Heater fan loud & very noisy. Other than outside & inside noise… & room mishap, which was immediately taken care of, good room for the $$.

I wish I had read the reviews before I booked this stay. There was a party going on until almost 2:00 a.m. with loud music and a lot of shouting making sleep very difficult.

The room was clean, sparse, no coffee machine or glasses/cup in the room. Front desk clerk could not speak English and could not find my reservation. He had to get someone who spoke English on the phone and to come to the front desk to help us. Our first room had a bad smell, and was not the room I reserved, and we could not get wi-fi. They switched us to another room, which was clean, but amidst a whole bunch of partiers. They were partying all night and at 3 in the morning we decided to leave, however out truck was boxed in. I called the front desk, and the fellow had people move their vehicles. There were prostitutes at the party (one of them came out to move her car). It was loud and not a pleasant experience at all!

The desk clerk did not speak much English, his heavy accent made it about impossible to understand, plus he didn't seem to understand what we were saying. We had difficulty finding the motel, had drove right past it because the Super 8 sign was only about 10-12 feet high instead of up higher like many motels. We did not know the fairgrounds was very nearby; it was too noisy. We couldn't get a ground floor (didn't think about requesting in advance, we only booked days ahead of time due to a death in the family) and we had to go up 14 steps to the top floor - my wife & I are both in our 80s with back and knee problems. The room was almost spartan but clean; it was noisy at night from other tenants plus people were smoking outside their rooms and near our room and we are both allergic to smoke.

I like that the parking lot was gated. No coffee in room. Shower head crooked against wall. No bathtub plug. No cups or glasses in room. I appreciated being located near the office on the ground floor as it is very seedy looking part of town.

Room was ok . Pretty quiet. The entrance is on the main street, or maybe the address is wrong.

Spartan but clean room. Nearly nonexistent breakfast (coffee, OJ, oatmeal, and granola bars.., that’s it). Noisy location. Cheap, and you get what you pay for.

I’m pretty sure there are people living in some of the rooms and people were up slamming doors and kids playing in the parking lot until around 3 or 4 am. I will never return there.
