First, they’ve changed their name and second, this is the kind of place where people work on their cars in the parking lot.

Dirty bathroom. Mold growing around corners. Frustrating that I had to go down to reception everything to activate my key card. Doesn't make sense. The room was supposed to be non smoking but it reeked of weed or some hard smoking substance. Didn't even get a bedding change too.

Great customer service, Front desk always friendly and accommodating. We stay there a lot and each time is always great. We feel completely safe and very comfortable there.

There was not much I did like. It was dirty. And I was stuck overnight in some place I was not feeling safe or my vehicle was not safe as well false advertisement. There was no pool. It's full of weeds. It's full of drug addicts and hookers the rooms were dirty the foyer was dirty the hallways are dirty the stairways look like people pissed in them and they smell. 50 cents to pay for ice. Is ridiculous there's no screens on the bathroom Windows those are dirty it says no smoking but they smell like cigars they tried to give me a room that was already filthy dirty and I rejected it we ordered downstairs rooms we got one upstairs room that I had to reject 208 someone have been sleeping in that room. At midnight I got woke up to some girl breaking into that room and she lied to me. and kept 207 was dirty on the floors microwave is so high you can't get to it. And it's filthy dirty. . To replace 208 that was filthy dirty, they gave me 110 downstairs. Room 110 there was a broken light. A bucket underneath the sink to catch the water. And a big hole in the wall above the bed.

The room was clean which we appreciate however the exterior of the motel needs some upkeep to help it feel safer and desirable. For example, better landscape, cleaner hallways, cleaner parking lot. Not sure if this can be improved but there was a lot of road noise that could be heard through the night. Staff was nice.

The room was remodeled but not 100%looking good they did have a refrigerator ? Staff and ownership are complete horrible and rude and differently shouldn't be able to represent studio 6 they are making a bad name for their image as well not too forget that there was a stand off with the local law enforcement

Convenient room layout and an enclosed parking lot. The surrounding area was quiet enough at night but got noisy around 5:30am until checkout. Our towels were quite worn and some had black stains and long hairs. *Otherwise* an OK room in that price range.

All night long people were talking and smoking in the parking lot and our dogs were on high alert.

There are a lot of food options near by and stores. There's a Yoshinoya down the street that was AMAZING. There's also a donut shop down the street that had some of the best donuts I've ever had in my life. One last thing, the air conditioning in the room is the STRONGEST I have ever felt in my life. This is good for very hot days. I would stay here again for an overnight stay.

When they knew i had dogs and said no cost when i checked in there most phones dont work there is bed bugs badly security gate wqs broke so many people knocking on my door at 3 am

Good amenities in the room for the price, room was clean and working. The area is a little rough, the room smelled like light smoke entering and it's supposed to be a non smoking room. But the smell only at the entrance while staying in the room was fine

My husband and I travel full-time in our converted truck, and we needed to have some mechanical work done to the truck. This meant that we had to find a place to stay for the night instead of our rig. We needed a hotel that wasn't too expensive, so we opted for Studio 6 since the majority of the reviews weren't terrible and it had a decent star rating. We figured we could withstand one night of basic accommodations. We were wrong! This is the absolute WORST hotel I have ever stayed in, and the employees are rude, inconsiderate, and completely lacking any sense of customer service. The rooms were dirty, covered in mold, and had broken and missing amenities. No matter how much I asked for the supposed "included amenities", I was never given what I wanted (simple things like the in-room phone since ours was broken or the dishware listed on the sign). They even called security on me because I was becoming too much of a "problem" for them. We left the hotel, and I hope this review will keep anyone else from booking a stay there. I am going to call the health department and the BBB because this place is unsafe and should be shut down!

The only thing to like abiut this place was the price. But it wasn't even worth what little I paid for it. Im not sue how it has such high ratings. The room was unfinished. Pieces of trim missing. Mold in the bathroom. The bed covering had cigarettes.burns in it. The air conditioner only worked partially.

I need a room for wheelchair access and they did not have one available. Even though I checked it in the box online. The window would not close and it rained the weekend.

Staff were nice. Some people are staying there long term so they treat it like their private property - loud talking, yelling, partying all night. Only one person at the counter which too longer to check in and out.

Room was very strange with a shower in the corner of the living space. The staff charged us for the room on top of hotels.com and required a $30 *cash* deposit, not credit. The staff said they didnt get paid by hotels.com, so they had to charge us again. If you don't get paid by hotels.com then remove yourself from the site instead of double charging people.

A large motel 6 room with nice fridge and kitchen sink area. Secure parking. A bit noisy from inconsiderate guests. For example, honking to signal that your driver is waiting and late night loud talking.

Again, the place is nice...and Starbucks is 50 yards away. But there are tweakers, hookers etc. They left me alone (and I have a fancy car) ... So that is good.

This place is a homeless shelter, if you don’t mind hearing people screaming at the middle of the night or wondering in the parking lot stay here. I did not feel safe even though they have a gated parking, I will never ever stay here again , I rather sleep in may truck. STAY AWAY!!!

The hotel is surprisingly crummy. Just ugly and dirty and in an ugly blighted area of Bakersfield. No water in the pool. The ice machine costs two quarters and it looked broken! The room was ok and the ac worked great!

I was not sure if I was going to stay for two nights and brought this up to the assistant manager at the hotel. She told me that I would not have any problems if I planned staying the 2nd night. Just to check in the front office before 11:00am and let them know I would stay an additional night and who I spoke with and everything would be sorted. No additional fees as you always have to pay a deposit. Anyway the following morning before 11:00am I decided to stay an additional night, but the owners wife told me that she was going to charge me $25 dollars to go back to my room ( as all my belongings were still inside the hotel room!!) Or I had to wait for checkin time 3:00pm!! Which I would have to wait outside my room for 4-hours! She would not budge so I had to come up with an additional payment on top of that as well as the room cost was more money for the extra day/night!!? All about money and she did not care to honor what I was told. I use to go there, but not sure if I would go back.

The owners are very nice its clean its safe and its not right next to a freeway very spacious room great place to stay overall my only critique is that the tv had not great selection of channels and remote was hard to use but this place exceeds expectations for the price. So i dont care about the tv nearly fullsized fridge n freezer nice hot shower

I love that it seems renovated and it was definitely clean. Their A/C was able to cool me down during the historically hot summer days for the area, which I appreciate as someone with weather sensitivities. I love that there is gated parking as it seems like the area around is not high-end, but as someone who grew up in a not so luxurious way.. I felt fine. Those more familiar with the area may be able to speak on the safetiness better but nothing happened to me or my belongings! There were folks with families with children playing outside and all so I’d say it was a pretty safe area despite the block appearing a little run down and in need of some tender love & updating. Bakersfield seems like an affordable, charming place outside of the summer time heat & I’m glad this hotel provided me a place to explore and rest my head while here.

This was basically a studio apartment and it felt really luxurious and nice to walk around on a clean floor. I’ve decided that if you are a budget traveler, you can either have a great breakfast or a great room, but not both. This time I opted for a great room and I’m glad I did.

The staff /possible owners -two ladies were very nice. The room was simple but well cleaned. The bed sheets were very wrinkled in the middle and made me wondered if they had been washed….and a towel had a black stains (looked like it has been washed). Those two points were very disappointing. I would rather have clean linen than large TV.

Liked that it was gated, and locked. Also was very clean and comfortable. Faucet for bathroom was wiggling all over and loose, but kitchen area was used and worked fine. Air conditioning was awesome, slept well!! Ty

Do not stay in room 219. It smelled like sewer and when I tried to tell the front desk to ask for another room they said it wasn’t possible and I was told they were fully booked. The property is gated but the gate was wide open . My room was at the end of the corridor by a gate that men were going in and out at will right a my door and a group of young came to my door banging and Iknocking on window I had my pet and she would not stop barking at the strange men, I felt unsafe and I could not see my car from my room after I calmed her down I repacked my car and went to front desk and explained what had happened and I could not stay. They just said we will look at cameras. No refund.

2 separate days was woken up by disrespectful customers at 5am, had to complain to have issue resolved.

This place by far. I mean, by far this is the best motel I've stayed in ever actually, and believe me, I should know me and my mother are currently living in motels and um, uh, not one compares to this place. They're very compassionate, very understanding, very clean and just super nice people. I definitely recommend this place.

Linen should be free of previous guests hair.

The service is bad. To check in at night you will have to go to a window and they provide a poor service. Then I got my keys (they only provide 1 key, when normally is 2 keys) then the key wasnt working, so I had to go back to the window to get it active. Then the next day I had to go and active it AGAIN!!!... the hotel floor was kinda dusty. The window only has 1 curtain and that makes the room to be very bright. Which is bad. Some people might like bright room or dark, so they should put something on the window to have to option to make it dark. And the noise from outside is way to loud. If feels like you were inside with the door open, it makes no different if you have the door close or open. The noise from outside is the same... and I'm not trying to be rude. But the office smell like onion, and its very strong.

A lot of sketchy people around. The gate that’s supposed to keep people out is open 24/7. Room was ok but I could hear everything outside like there wasn’t even a window installed.

Average everything. Kindof low water pressure in room. Faucet in sink loose and cold/hot lines reversed. Water damaged floor planks in bathroom. Walls thin, so you hear people outside. All in all just average. Would be back again IF no other alternatives, and if price was right.

Lovely newly renovated rooms. Within walking distance of so many restraunts and shopping.

The room was decent. Nothing special, but it did have a nice mini-kitchen. The refrigerator was medium-sized and the sink was small. Nothing for cooking other than a microwave. The wi-fi signal was strong. I never needed to use the air conditioning, but the heater worked very well. The bed was comfortable and furnishings were what you might expect in a budget property. Everything was in good condition with a few exceptions. The bathroom door had heavy water damage at the bottom. The bathroom sink was missing its faucet aerator and drain stopper. The bed sheets and pillowcases looked old. The fabric was no longer smooth. Worn but not quite worn out. The flooring looked nice, but it needs cleaning. It didn't take long for the dirt to show on my socks after walking around with my shoes off. Would I stay here again? No. It's easy on the budget, but some obviously long-term guests had loud conversations and some arguments. The room's soundproofing is weak.

Good clean rooms for the price. Comfortable beds. Gated parking lot which is a plus. I'm glad i booked and would stay here again.

I used to like going here, but the other tenants have ruined it by being disrespectfully loud past 10 pm when regular people who have jobs normally are in bed. I called the front desk, they said I should go ask them to be quiet. Whelp that's it. Cheap for a reason.

Just a comfortable place to stay

The room itself was great. Clean, comfortable and a good price. It is located right on a busy street and it is like you are sleeping on a highway. If you are a light sleeper, do not stay here.

The bed was clean and reasonably comfortable but that was about the end of what I enjoyed. I asked for non-smoking rooms and was told that the rooms I got were indeed NON-SMOKING rooms. However, one of the rooms was not only obviously smoked in, but it also smelled very strongly of pets. The other room had been smoked in but then some kind of chemical had been used in the room to remove the smoke smell...unsuccessfully. Which meant, now not only did it smell like smoke but every breath also burned of chemicals. The bathroom door handle almost fell off in my hand when I went to close the door. Being right next to the freeway, the noise was felt. But even more than the freeway noise was the noise of dogs. At 10-11pm dogs in a nearby room were not only barking buy howling. I really don't expect much from a cheap hotel...but I do expect more than this. I won't be back.

The room I stayed in smelled pretty bad, room 216. The mattress was pretty worn out too. Everything else was okay for the price, but the room did smell.

They charged me more when I came in to check in when online it told me $67 dollars but they charged me $99.54

For starts each time I went to pay. They charged me four different early check-ins one time was 40 only cash next was 20 only cash then 70 only cash I watched as they put it in there pockets then my electric outlets half didn't work my phone didn't work. At all they mandatory force there maids to open our doors every other day even if we asked do not disturb and make us wait out in. The cold while they clean and my mom is 74 years old some one next to me needed to call 911. But phone didn't work so they are filing case I've spent thousands here already to be treated as if they hate us all not to mention there is prostitution going on and they' know about it

But it lacks some elements that could make it great. It's terrible when you book a non-smoking room, but it has clearly been smoked in by prior guest. The toaster set off the smoke alarm, even though I did not burn the toast. The tv remote does not match the tv. First, no Guide button and the channels (12.1, 12.2, 24,2 ,,etc) do not match the channels that appear. So the only way to know whats on is to channel surf and hope its not on commercial, so you can see what's on.

Beds are ok pillows could be more better . Bathroom windows won’t close and very inconvenient. Will come again best price in town

The room itself had been renovated but the sheets had someone else’s hair on them. The door to our room barely latched even with the extra dead bolt you could still the light coming in. Shaved handtowels all the way around the door and gorilla taped the door.

It was good place is quite and enjoyable even tho an alarm that keep going off keep me awake all night

Staff was friendly and the room seemed moderately clean except for the long brown hairs on the folded bath towels. The mattress was extremely thin and uncomfortable and all night we could hear people opening and closing their room doors so we got no actual rest. The parking lot is secured like a prison yard by PIN code, you can’t even walk on the property without entering through a PIN entry gate which is nice but at the same time made me second guess the area I was staying in. Would I stay again or recommend it to someone, absolutley not.

I loved the gated cumunity and the rooms are so home like absalutly lived it
