My kids loved the indoor pool. I liked the fact that it's right off the freeway and close to plenty of restaurants. Breakfast was a plus!

Room was clean and well appointed, coffee station in the lobby available 24/7.

We stayed for 3 nights and thought the quality was good and price was fair. Breakfast was typical hotel fare. Decent and filling. waffle, cereal, fruit, eggs and sausage. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff we encountered were friendly. I would choose this place again.

Just a quick one night stay again. But again very happy with my huge clean beautiful room at a very fair price in a very safe area.. with an 18 wheel semi needing parking it can be hard. But they have plenty of open street parking literally right in front of the hotel making it work out very well.. I appreciated that they even had razors on hand that they provided for free when I had gone to the front desk looking to purchase one.. that was nice and I love the bottles of actual good shampoos and conditioners lotions etc all provided in the shower.. unfortunately this time the neighbor next to us was being loud and weird pretty much all night but that really is not the hotels fault. The breakfast again great with eggs and sausage fresh waffles, fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, juices and coffee..am still hoping to try the indoor pool. Just have to stay longer than a few hours to get to try that amenity!!

This was a very nice hotel. Complimentary breakfast was good, staff was great, it was clean and well maintained. We had an issue with the people above us. Sounded like they were playing basketball. They were very noisy. The hotel quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. We didn't complain and they settled down by 10. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, nice accommodations, anyone and everyone at the hotel was more than helpful. We had dogs and the property was easy and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend.

There was an exceptionally friendly person at the front desk when I checked in. The pet fee was reasonable-$25. There is a special place for dogs to use. The room was larger than I had expected.

This was a very good stay. I loved the lady that checked us in that night she smiled and made me feel very welcomed! Only stayed one night but will stay again !!!

We did have a difficult time locating the hotel in the late night hours as our map was not finding the exact road. After circling the area a couple of times, we did find it and were pleased with our stay.

This hotel is a little dated. Staff worked to keep it clean. We did use the jacuzzi. The breakfast area was full and staff kept up with all the guests.

Front desk and housekeeper did not have the best customer service. Breakfast ladies were kind and maintained a clean area but did not have enough breakfast for all guest. Room smelled weird and bathroom was not well cleaned.

Hotels.com requested a refund due to the condition of the facilities, Veronica denied it. She then became hostile and upset with me. She stated that there was no one available to contact regarding a refund and said that it was not her fault that the owner would not hire someone to maintain the pool. Veronica also explained that she needed her job to pay her bills and therefore could not approve a refund. Because the pool and spa were not as represented, I chose to leave the property at approximately 9:00 PM. I requested to be checked out at that time, but Veronica refused to process my checkout. I exercised due diligence by confirming in advance that the pool and spa were operational and available not only once but twice in person and via telephone. Despite the facilities being unusable and not matching the information provided, I was denied a refund. There were also silverfish in the hotel room Number 314. Several of them. The third floor also smelled like weed from 630-8pm. The front is filled with nest that are occupied by birds, and there is bird poop all over the place out front of the building.

There is a lot of bird nests around the property. Staff is really helpful though.

The property itself was great. Everything was so tidy and pristine! I was very impressed! The staff was kind and friendly. Too! The room was also in good order. Everything was so neat and clean. I didn’t feel at all wary to sleep or uncomfortable in the bed. I slept really well too! The only thing that would have earned 5 stars is the breakfast. There wasn’t all the much available for someone who can only eat gluten free. There were some soggy scrambled eggs and some nearly paper thin bacon that was all stuck together, which was very strange. There was also some yogurt and hard boiled eggs too. Still I felt a place that did so well in every other aspect could have done breakfast way better. It would also be nice if more hotels understood that not everyone can eat waffles, cereals, bagels and/or breakfast pastries.

Yesterday I experienced an uncomfortable situation with one of the 2 employees that I mentioned above and ever since then I felt uncomfortable the whole rest of my stay , also I think it’s very unprofessional that this hotel is allowing one of their workers to stay there a couple nights a week because she’s homeless but me being a goal member I’ve asked multiple times if I can do a month two month stay every now and then and I got told no

The room was okay. I admit it was not super expensive so I did not expect it to be an incredible hotel room. It was clean and comfortable. My issue is that the room next to ours had people playing music and talking very loudly until 2:30am. And then again at 5:30am. The staff said they would talk to the guests and they might have done so, but it did not work. I would never stay here again. The customer service was good and the staff was friendly, but this hotel attracts people who have no consideration for others.

When we went to our room, we discovered water on the floor by the bathroom (into the hall). We went back to the desk, and received an upgraded room for the inconvenience. Everyone was helpful, and the upgrade was very nice!

I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were all extremely helpful and friendly, especially Jordan. There was a lot of pet hair in my room, but they did come change the air-conditioning filters which seemed to help. I would definitely stay here again. This place is convenient and close to the airport. There is a Denny's, Subway and a Starbucks directly in front which is convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Very convenient location & plenty of nice food choices right in the vicinity. I would definitely come back.

about the only negative i can mention was the coffee was very weak. otherwise it was clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was that there was only one luggage cart and we ended up by carrying our luggage pillows cooler etc to the car. 3 trips for the two of us especially since i am handicapped and had to use a cane while doing so

Property parking lot at the side of Denny's had some homeless people and we felt unsafe around the parking lot.

The breakfast sucked. We got sausage every single day not on top of that. Their amenities were not safe to use. On top of everything else in that hotel it was dirty. It wasn’t as promised. It didn’t look as expected. There was no hot water and the bathtub. Didn’t stop when you put the stopper in. Although I was in a handicap bathroom, I could not take a bath. The handles to the spot and the swimming pool were broken, including the Jets, which would pop in your face. I almost fell on my face, and no one has gotten back to me about my claim, and I was made to pay a full price I will never ever go to LA QUINTA AGAIN!!!!

I have stayed here several times. But they do not seem to monitor and/or swiftly deal with problematic guests. Late at night, unruly and inconsiderate guests (adults and children) will be running in the halls and rooms, slamming doors, talking and laughing loudly, pounding on walls & floors, playing their TVs and music too loud, partying, etc. (This has happened the last several times I’ve stayed here). It was so bad last night I couldn’t sleep at all. I called the front desk at 2:15 AM to get them to deal with several men in the room right next door to mine. Don’t know if they ever did. It was a horrible, sleepless night. When I talked with the front desk in the morning at checkout, they didn’t even offer a discount or consideration for the horrible night I was forced to endure. I don’t know if I can/will stay here again, which is unfortunate, because it’s not a bad property. But management does not seem to enforce appropriate “quiet hour” rules, which is to the detriment of others. If you can’t sleep/rest at night, why stay here?

The hotel room was very clean and well maintained. The bed was fresh and comfortable, and the restroom was spotless and smelled good. Nothing looked dirty or out of place, which made the stay much more enjoyable. Parking was also very easy, with convenient access to the lot. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free experience.

The hotel has gone downhill since I first started using it in 2021. You get whatever room they give you, even if you have booked way in advance. 2 beds is not a single bad with a fold out couch. The fold out is for children. 2 adults cannot sleep comfortably.

We had a stopover in the city on our roadtrip. Bakersfield leaves something to be desired in general, but our stay at this location was good. The room was clean, a playpen was available and this was conveniently located. Breakfast was nice and all the standard hotel amenities were available. The staff were very friendly and nice.

We complained twice about a person upstairs constantly running at 10 o’clock at night and again at six in the morning and the elevators were not working

no what I expected from this hotel, I didn't purchase looking for cheap, I did for quality. The elevator was not working (understand things happen), not sure, I will not purchase again.

The hotel is dirty, smells like roach killer in the rooms through the AC, the elevator did not work, just all around, this hotel is not worth the price you have to pay. The hotel staff are lovely, but it just is a dive.

We arrived early from a red eye and they allowed us to check in early and even have some breakfast on our arrival day. Staff is exceptional. Great location from the airport and the ship port.

Heated indoor pool and jacuzzi, although jacuzzi was not hot enough. Free breakfast was nice too. TV system would be my only gripe… IF I ever need to stay in this area again I would stay here.

The first room we were assigned to smelled like cigarette smoke. The front desk clerk was very nice and got us switched to another room quickly. The beds weren’t very comfortable and the carpet was very dirty, could use a good cleaning. Breakfast was decent. Overall probably wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights and didn’t get any room service even when we requested our trash was full beds un done and sheets not replaced in three days called front desk and they said they would let management know I have never been at a hotel that doesn’t provide room service

It was a nice stay before my flight out early the next morning. The airport was very close, like 5 minutes away. The girl at the desk was helpful in finding a taxi service to pick up at 4 am🙂 The bed was very comfy. Lots of food options within walking distance and a Starbucks I could see out my window! I would definitely recommend it to anyone, and stay again when traveling to the area. See you soon Bakersfield!

Stay was comfortable

Everything was great at first, then about 15 minutes of me arriving to my room, a baby started crying in a nearby room for about 45 minutes straight and a toddler was running through the halls laughing and yelling off and on during the crying. I smelled a chemical smell upon arrival in hallway and in my room, similar to raid or bug spray and as time when on my throat was getting more and more sore. I ended up wearing a mask to bed because I found I couldn’t sleep due to my throat being irritated. Everything else was absolutely lovely and clean. Perhaps in the future families with small children could be put in a certain area of hotel, it was awful. I still can’t get over the chemical smell and my irritated throat, I hope it doesn’t ruin the rest of my weekend that has been planned for several months now. I’m very disappointed with my stay because of this. Staff was so polite and hotel looked fantastic and so clean.

The staff was borderline rude (Elizabeth) and uninterested in assisting when I asked questions regarding my bill and especially when the FIRE ALARM went off at 10:00 PM at night and sounded for 40 minutes. The front desk girl was not assisting guests with information, she said “It does this sometimes” and “It will reset eventually” . Meanwhile all the guests are outside the building trying to figure out what to do. The fire department came and reset the alarm. Way too much nighttime drama. There are lots more choices in Bakersfield for my next visit and we won’t be returning to this property.

I actually picked this hotel, because of all the good reviews and having an indoor pool. The pool was not inviting. We thought it was awesome that they had an indoor pool but not even the kids wanted to get in. Rooms were a little dirty beds were terrible. We didn’t have a good night. Sleep. Our room. Smells like smoke.. We will definitely not go back.

Our check in was quick and easy. The elevators were not working during our stay but that was okay. We were only staying 1 night and and minimal luggage.

Your night desk 9/4 Nyla I believe is her name should not be in customer service. She allowed a guest to block 6 spaces by the back door entrance cutting those of us who needed it out. Big truck and trailer with car on it. She boasted I don’t see a problem and I approved it! She also told me there were handicapped spaces which at the time and at night are full and by the front door not by our room. Her attitude was too bad. “ the hotel is not full and YOU can find other spaces!” I asked why he couldn’t park by the fence to which she said it interferes with trash pick up! Well as someone who has seen even semi cabs parked there and many spaces taken on privies visits this is not true. Him blocking 6 spaces there would allow others to have their one space by the door! To which I was informed the mgr is back after Monday you can take it up with him as I approved it!” I had to ask her 3 times for her name as each time she referred to herself as the night desk staff. I can’t park 6 cars in your lot for my one room so why was this approved. In light of the fact that when we checked out the elevators were still broken day 7 and every guest on 2nd and 3rd floor had to use the stairs thanks for obstructing their entrance and departure by allowing this one guest to block the back entrance with his sideways parking! Disabled beware.

Great stay

We were looking forward to staying here again since we had a positive stay before. Unfortunately when we checked in we were informed that the elevator was out of service. Then driving 4 hours to arrive and finding out that the spa was out of service was very disappointing.

My stay was awful. The bed was extremely uncomfortable—I barely slept a wink. The bathroom was disgusting, with a half-dead roach crawling around. Completely unacceptable. I will never stay here again.

This hotel has easy access to Highway 99, with restaurants and a Starbucks nearby. It is clean, well maintained and the staff is friendly. However, neither the elevator or the coffee machine in the breakfast were working. The elevator was not a big problem, but NO coffee??? Of course, I went to Starbucks!

My excellent stay started with a warm greeting and smile from Jordan who checked me in. She was personable and had wonderful sense of humor. Room was clean and had good amenities. AC worked great and wasn’t one of those dreadful noisy ones. I enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The only downside is that I left too early (4:45 am) to enjoy the free breakfast, but that’s on me (was driving to Vegas in the morning). But was still able to get some hot coffee for the road. I’d stay here again.

We only used the room to sleep in while visiting family. It was what we needed..

Property was close to freeway and places to eat. Bonus that Starbucks was right outside the front door.

After two days on the road it was almost a need as oppose to a want. You can’t advertise amenities then think of having them operational as optional. Very disappointing to see the spa was in disrepair. Would not have driven of course if that information were available.

Hotel was great. Convenient location. Very quiet. I felt safe even being alone. The only thing wrong was the AC. It didn't cool off the room as much as I wanted. The fan wouldn't stay on. Couldn't sleep with the room being so warm.

The bathroom was spacious and the shower had my favorate shampoo (Dove). This hotel had an indoor pool and spa. It also includes breakfast.

Jordan was above and beyond with customer service and friendliness. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable, convenient and updated. Breakfast was good, with many choices. Denny’s was literally next door! My suite was spacious! Will come again!! Price was terrific!

Great hotel but it was very loud inside the room due to the fact it had an inside pool and it’s open until 10:00. Kids and adults were playing around and yelling all the way until then and we were on the 2nd floor and prevented us from sleeping

We stayed with our dog during our stopover for the night. The room was clean and didn't have a pet smell.the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. We ordered pizza from Cataldos and it was fantastic. We would stay here again.

Check-in was great. Quick and I was able to get our two rooms close together. The rooms seemed clean and comfortable. Noise was average because of a consistent "dinging" noise in the hallway. When I turned down my bed, things went south. The sheets were dirty and wrinkled as if they had been slept in, and a couple of the pillows had brown stains. The front desk told me to come down and pick up replacement sheets, which I did. She was friendly, but offered no apology. After remaking my bed, I opened the sofa bed for my niece and discovered there was no bedding other than a mattress cover, so I went to the front desk again. The staff person was less friendly this time. I asked for bedding, she brought me sheets and a blanket, but no pillow. I asked for a pillow, and she got me one. I returned to the room to make up the bed and discovered she had not given me a bottom sheet. Went downstairs to the front desk for the third time and told her there was no bottom sheet. By now, she was not at all friendly. She said they had no bottom sheets for the sofa bed. I insisted I needed something. She said she could give me a king sized sheet but it would be too big. I felt she was trying to dissuade me from taking the sheet. I insisted and she finally went to get the sheet. We used it. Although the sofa bed was very uncomfortable, at least my niece had a sheet to sleep on. I would have given four stars if not for the awful customer service/bedding experience.

Finally we found excellent place 💯 whenever we are in Bakersfield CA we definitely stay here. Thanks for modern building, great service, clean, bright lights, breakfast is average, our room is roomy and spaces.

I never got bite so much I have about 15 flea bites I didn’t realize they allowed dogs when booking . The staff was amazing but wish I could go back cause the location and room size was great but definitely not worth the bites I have now.

Hotel is very clean and staff is friendly. We were able to walk to Dennys for dinner which was nice after being in car so long. Bed wasn't as comfortable as I hoped but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Good stay at La Quinta inns

We had to wait nearly an hour to check in even though we had reservations, and arrived at 4:30pm!! My kids and a few other families were running around the lobby during that long period.

Great stay

Nice room, nice breakfast, nice pool and hot tub and nice people. Breakfast was bacon and eggs, juice, snack bars, bananas and yogurt. Nice and quiet.

The rooms smelled bad. The area felt unsafe, drunk/drugged out people in front. The room felt dirty.

There wasn't a restaurant in the hotel, but there was a Denny's across the parking lot for a late night meal, and a couple of other restaurants nearby. I loved that I took the Merle Haggard Ave to the hotel, and then Buck Owens Blvd to get coffee. All in all, I would stay here again when passing through.
