Four Points by Sheraton Bakersfield

I saw no requirement to bring a physical credit card for the room. The desk assistant was ready to send me away instead of looking at my phone that had my credit card information ( this is my Apple Mastercard). My husband had a credit card so it wasn’t an issue. The room was awful. We could hear slamming doors very clearly and echoed in the room from 0200 - 0700 when we finally couldn’t take it anymore. I wouldn’t stay here again.

There was a fan running loudly in the hallway at night. I stuffed towels in jam to quiet. The carpet was filthy in hallways. Usually hotels offer at least one bottle of water. Had to leave room at night to get bottled water which costs $4 ea. Front desk never asked about my stay when cking out. Won't be staying at this location again! See above. Liked nothing

The Bistro once the pride of the property is tired looking and now only serves breakfast. The back parking lot is dimly lighted at night and I only felt safe parking the family car under the light by the front office over night. The phone in the room didn’t work. On the positive side… The room was clean. There is a pool. The property is located in a prime location. The staff was accommodating. It’s basic lodging staying keeps you off the street at night.

The room was clean and peaceful. However the air conditioner wasn't the best it didn't cool the room in the afternoon enough for our stay, but they did send someone to look at it and they did get it to cool a little bit more just not ideal for my comfort. Overall it was a nice place to stay and the kids loved the pool.

this property must be coming up to either demolition or a major remodel.

super clean comfy updated rooms, very happy. Good AC. Good TV selection Placed in a room next to teenagers sports team who were very loud all night I eventually called the front desk at 12:30am, they took care of it. I would have been better to have been placed in a different wing.

It was a convenient location. The room was modern and in excellent condition. The outside landscaping was in poor condition, Bakersfield is a pretty dry location.

Staff was very friendly and helpful

They are remodeling then hotel. So, there were hallways blocked off and the security door by my room wasn't working which would require a room key to get in after hours. Also, there was trash in the parking lot including a metal bucket. Sadly, breakfast wasn't included.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent and very helpful. They went above and beyond to provide extra items we needed and to answer questions. We had to extend our stay a couple of times, and it was no problem.

The room was clean and comfortable. That’s the only good thing. This hotel is filthy. Hallways, staircases, gym - are all dirty. It needs a serious remodel. The pool area also doesn’t look like the pictures. Restaurant and bar are also closed down.

We had a fantastic stay at thise hotel. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The grounds were peaceful and beautifully manicured with numerous ponds and waterfalls. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and it is located near great restaurants in a very nice part of town. We will definitely come back again on our next visit to Bakersfield!

More than I expected 100% everything.

The outdoor pool area is amazing, with gazebos and plenty of places to sit and relax. The hot tub was down during our stay due to maintenance, but the pool area itself was still a great feature. There are also food spots and bars nearby, and the area felt safe to walk around—I didn’t notice a large unhoused presence. Overall, the rooms were nice and spacious, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who understands it is still in the remodeling phase.

We loved our room. Your staff was amazing, the day we arrived we were met with smiles and awesome service. There was no breakfast served on Sunday. Being there with a group that would have been fantastic. We ended up having to go out and buy breakfast spending more money.

All staff appeared Professional and we’re very courteous. Our room was very comfortable. The beds were great and we had good nights sleep. Very restful. We like staying in this hotel because of the convenience to areas in Bakersfield. I am from Bakersfield and this hotel seems like home to me.

I was given an adjoining room. I could hear talking and the tv next door as if they were in my room. I asked for a new room but could not get one the first night. I was moved to another room for my second night. The second room was not as clean as the first room, and the windows were disgusting. On the plus side, the rooms are large.

The pillows in the rooms are fluffy but uncomfortable. Being your own pillow if you can. The phones in the rooms don’t work either. The staff was very friendly, got to give them that.

Security door to get in to the building Kids running around yelling and other guests slamming their doors and talking loudly in the corridors. Landscaping around buildings was not kept up and weeds and loose debris around the buildings

HVAC system, believe it was a two pay plumbing system. Didn’t cool the place at all. Spider webs, the dual door to another room.

We were not at first given the room reserved. The second room had no heat. The last room was great! We were in the first floor. The outside entry door to the hallway did not lock. We booked thinking that we would have breakfast when we got up. No food service on Sundays. I guess you really need to read the fine print. The staff did wither could but should not have been placed in that situation.

The front door is huge, heavy, and impossible to prop open. Dragging luggage in and out is VERY challenging and there is no one nearby offering to help. Other than that things were fine.

We love this place! Great location, great people, clean and comfy. We will stay here from now on when we come into town. There’s no elevator.

Dirty, our room had blood on the curtains and bathroom light switch. While it looked rehabbed, the wall had damage. The bathroom light kept turning off while showering, making it unsafe and slippery.

This is not a nice hotel. - there are NO large signs out front to let you know you’re there. Just a tiny one near the lobby. So strange. — there is no food available at the hotel. Apparently the restaurant next door is open for breakfast, but when I went over in the morning it appeared to be closed. - there is no coffee or tea in the lobby and the coffee/tea in the room is barely stocked and the coffee is terrible. — weird place

The room was lovely! Definitely a 10 out of 10 for the bathroom. The only thing that I wish that they had was an elevator in the first building.

I needed a quick place to stay for the night. The Sheraton is in a nicer part of town than some of the other hitels at the same price point. I was disappointed that the room didn't seem stocked with the normal coffee pods, more than one cup, or more than one roll of toilet paper. However, for one night, those things could be overlooked. What really bothered me was the shower. While the shower was clean, there was no hot water! It was a cool January morning and I wanted a hot, relaxing shower. I got a lukewarm borderline freezing experience! I wish I had noticed earlier as I would have asked for a new room. When I mentioned it at checkout, the receptionist said that it takes awhile for the water to heat up. I informed her that I did let it run for awhile, yet it was still cold. A little compassion or small compensation would have been nice. All I got was "Do you need a copy of your folio?" and "Have a good day." My day started with a frosty shower and that was not the wake up call I wanted. Bummer.

The outer doors to the hotel didn’t latch. Anyone could get into the hallways and the doors to the rooms weren’t secure enough to feel safe. There was also black lint on all the bedding which took a while to determine was just lint and didn’t leave us feeling good.

The first room of my stay the tv didn’t work so I was moved to another room In my second room the water in the shower never got warm and I was forced to take a cold shower I let the staff know and hoped the final night would be better however I had to take a cold shower again They did say we are sorry but for the money I paid that certainly was not enough

If you’re by yourself, make sure to request for a room with no adjoining rooms because you can hear the other party on the other room with an adjoining room door. The staff was nice enough to chnge my room right away. I slept so good in my room. Definitely recommended.

Front desk was a little lacking, they were not there with no be right back sign. After that everything was fine. For the cost seemed like breakfast should be included not extra.

When you pull up to this property, you actually think that it’s deserted and it is in horrible condition on the exterior. But with that said our room is decent. Definitely clean and comfortable. The Jacuzzi was really dirty, so I went to the front desk and asked if they could get someone to vacuum it out and clean it and I was told that it’s out of order! But there was no indication when you were indicated area of the pool that the Jacuzzi was out of order.

The staff was great. Very helpful when need their help. They gifted the kids with toys to utilize for the pool which the kids really enjoyed. Great customer service. The downside is the hotel is not the most clean facility. The beds and room was clean for the most part but there are many areas through the hotel that have been neglected.

Ran out of conditioner mid shower, so needed to run down stairs to get more. The person at the front desk was nice and provided more conditioner. Would have love softer beds.

Might be the worst hotel I’ve stayed at since I was in my twenties. Carpeting on stairs was so dirty but fortunately the room ok. Hotel was not full but we were put in a room above rooms where big loud party was happening until close to 11. The pool was large by hotel standards but sadly no time to swim laps.

HOLY CRAP COCKROACHES!!!!! Sliding screen door to patio was broken, no privacy at patio, swimming pool out of order and empty looks like they were doing a re-plaster job, horrible smell throughout the hall and the room like a stink bug, sweet, musty, smell; in hindsight it was probably the roach infestation. Had to leave hotel at 11 PM and find another hotel because of the cockroaches. There was no way we were going to stay there. The counter girl was helpful but did not seem surprised or shocked at the cockroach problem and the next day, when we spoke to the manager, she did not seem super surprised either however they did process our refund with hotels.com and they did give us a full refund for our stay. I don’t think I could ever trust this hotel again or any hotels associated with it, I thought Sheraton was a good name, but this is definitely not a good hotel. ONLY positive I can give it was that the showerhead was nice and there was a lot of hot water when we took a shower, but we immediately had to leave because of the cockroaches. DO NOT STAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BRING HOME PESTS - it’s likely there is more than just cockroaches there.

The property is under renovation! The pool and jacuzzi were drained! The maid is still cleaning rooms at 9:45 at night!! The sheet do not fit the bed properly and looked like they haven’t been washed!! Very terrible property !! The landscape is gone and it looks like a ghost town!! This place was advertised falsely and I want my money refunded!!

Amazing stay

Beds were very comfortable. Room was clean and well maintained. Only problem was tv wouldn’t work and couldn’t reach the front desk for help, we even went down in person. Good thing we were tired!:)

We stayed in the most beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the pool and fountain.

The chair in the had a very nasty fluid stain and the ironing board was torn.. we never found the elevators.

It needs an update around the outside property, however the rooms and inside the facility was very nice, clean, and updated. I’m sure it was the place to stay in its prime, but now the outside is worn and tired. Staff was excellent though and the area felt safe.

Disappointed that housecleaning did not service our room as expected. And the walls were quite thin; could hear the neighbor in the bathroom. Yuck.

The room was dirty. There was food on the floor and hair in the shower. It got extremely hot during the night and the AC nor the fan worked. When I woke up in the middle of the night I slid on the floor in front of bathroom door because there was a water leak, I'm assuming from the broken AC. Such a rip off. I let the front desk person know and she was nice but basically just said thanks for letting us know. Also, the rooms look renovated but the hallways are old and disgusting. Smelled musty.

The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the ample parking spaces, making it easy to come and go without any hassle. While the breakfast was limited, I wouldn’t necessarily pay extra for it—but that’s a small detail considering all the other positives. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Bakersfield, and we’d definitely return! Highly recommend it for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

This property had no elevator, we had to lug all of our belongings and our toddler up the stairs.

The hotel appears older, but nice. My room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated the black out curtains! After a shower in the morning, I discovered there was no hair dryer. The phone on the night stand was unplugged and not working. I got ready for meetings without drying my hair. The front desk confirmed there should be one in the room, and offered to take one to my room. The restaurant was impossible to find. The building is filled with meeting rooms, dark hallways, and no signage. When I did find the restaurant (with help), the food was good and the prices reasonable. I chose this hotel for the computer center. There was a computer in the corner of the lobby that needed to be rebooted and the printer wasn't connected at all. I feel I paid extra for services I didn't get to use, and the first day without a hair dryer was disappointing.

We checked and in one of the rooms when we walked into the room, it was a lot of water in the bathroom called the front desk. She was rude, but she moved us to another room. The second room was worse than the first the AC was not working. the phone was not working Went to the front desk again and complained and her answer is I will move you to another room, that is the worst experience I ever had in a hotel.

This hotel advertises false accommodation first of all they say it provides breakfast for an extra charge but once you get there they say the Sunday the restaurant is close and they dont even offer you any type of discount my room had no towels & toilet paper. The hotel is in full remodeling thru the outside but it could be better parking is good really easy to park staff is very nice but it could be better!

Staff did their best to help and deserve praise but this is the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Additionally, the hotel’s exterior doors were not locked, anyone could gain access to guest room hallways without notice by staff.

But landscaping was horrible on the property.

But would stay here again as we really liked the room.

The rooms are sylish and comfortable. As far as condiments and extras..there was nothing special and my a/c heat did not work..but other than that is was a noce stay

We wanted to use the advertised self-serve laundry but that building was completely gutted and we had to drive across town to find one that we could use. The restaurant/bistro had a limited menu and almost no business.

Breakfast is thermos coffee and cheap packaged granola bars. Luggage carts so filthy dirty you didn't want to touch them. facilities decrepit.

Nice location, parking lot was a little dark, as the lights were not working. Room was clean and comfortable.

THe room would not lock except with the bolt, handicap walk-in shower was not given to us. The handicap room that was given us had slippery floor in tub, shower hose too short to use on chair, automatic light that was blinding for a night trip to bathroom, no night light, fixed the sink but then it didn't hold water, change of sheets a day later and no instructions in room for TV, mechanics.

I could not use the elevator as my card key only accessed the 2nd floor door. A large tour group arrived late in the evening and made a lot of noise coming in, they should have been placed in a separate building, first floor.

Happy to see this hotel was recently remodeled.

Love the fountain. Landscaping needs tobe looked at. Fitness room needs towels and cleaner to wipe off machines.

Our room was excellent. Newly remodeled and clean. Exterior of buildings look pretty run down, stucco needs cleaning or painting.

Very old, no elevators, dirty towels in the room. the noise in the morning from doors and neighbors is is crazy.

We stayed in a newer room, very clean upon arrival, tv with Netflix option was great. Front desk staff was polite. We would have liked to extend our stay but we booked through a third party and no more rooms were available.

Foul smell in room, false Fire alarm at 3am, room didnt get cleaned, dirty sheets and wet towels not changed during stay..

There was construction and was difficult to know where to enter. However we stayed in a recently renovated room which was very nice and staff very friendly.

Horrible appeal outside. Dead grass dirty parking lot nothing around looked old and desolate. No dining or even fast food options. Couldn’t wait to leave

I should have been informed that this property was being renovated.

Hotel under renovation at the time, entrance blocked to our hallway (unfortunately our room was next to the blocked door so we walked around the entire building). Newly renovated room was nice. Missed some things like easy outlet access on nightstands, new automatic curtains are challenging, missed individual soaps/lotions/gels/cups in bath. Some sticky on the floor that was probably just missed, remote was greasy from previous guest - so cleaning could have been much better. Front desk very professional and gracious.

The front staff is very nice, but the main reason we booked was to go to the pool, Which was closed. They gave us complementary breakfast tickets for the next morning because of the pool closure, and the next morning the restaurant was closed. Very frustrating stay.
