Beware - pool is not operational, no water and full of trash. Had to switch rooms during our stay and checked out early. The air filter on the AC was full or dust, and made it hard to breathe. Outdoor trash cans are overflowing, piled around the van and spilling onto the walkway.

The rooms are convenient and basic. There's no need for extra bells and whistles for a room for the night so it's very quaint. Reported to the staff that the shower tub wasn't draining and they repaired it within hours. I never give a five to anyone unless it's superior superior superior because nothing is perfect so four stars is what I'm giving them.

When we arrived we were told our room had just been cleaned. We go into the room and immediately there are roches coming out of the bathroom. The shower curtain has fecal matter on it and the floors were extremely dirty. There was no towels available to try and wipe anything down. I called the office to advise of the roaches. The manager showed up with a bottle of raid and two towels. We advised we would leave. She was insistent that we stay. She then offered to upgrade our room and the second room was just as dirty. When we said we wanted to cancel She was very defensive ND refused to provide a number where we could complain. She said we can mail a complaint if we want to. DO NOT STAY HERE! She kept saying since we booked with hotel.com we could not get our money back because its a third party. This place is disgusting. I don't care about losing money. I would never stay somewhere so dirty. The shower curtain had yellow all over the bottom. We were not there more than an hour nd I felt like I needed to shower.

Then there were homeless people walking around the property. There were very sketchy people who seemed to be living in this hotel and another person cleaning out a vehicle that looked like they lived in it. I left the property and did not stay! Did not feel safe at all.

When we arrived we got our two non smoking rooms. When we got into the first room it immediately smelled like cigarette smoke and there were cigarette burns in the bedding. We asked for a new room since we have young children and they tried to tell us they could just spray febreeze. We said absolutely not and they did eventually switch us to a new room. In both rooms there was no extra toilet paper and both rooms were almost out of the roll that was on there, no towels, no fridge and the shampoo/conditioner/hand soap was clearly leftover and had been used. In the room on the bottom floor there were so many bugs everywhere. Overall this is not a recommended place, it was terrible and thankfully only one night because we would’ve booked somewhere else otherwise.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a great stay. At the end of the day, it was a place to lay our heads, but with the mattress wrapped in plastic, the too small fitted sheet kept coming up so we were laying on plastic causing us to wake several times to fix it. When we got to the room, there were only 2 small pillows and 2 sheets on the bed and no towels. Staff were able to provide us with towels and a thin twin size blanket with cigarette burns. No pillows were available. The floor of our room was also dirty with what looked like old spills that had been walked over several times. Just running my shoe over a couple spots brought up some of the sticky spills in chuncks. So it hadn't been mopped in some time. Walls were also dirty with spills. Did not use the ac as we weren't sure about it. There were tissues stuffed around it. The ice machine did not work and was awkward to get to in the first place. The area wasn't great and there was a gate around the property, but it was never actually closed. The staff were kind, but couldn't help much.

Avzilable parking was adequate, no the AC did not keep the room cool.

There were overflowing dumpsters in the parking lot, the room reeked of marijuana, the sheets were stained, holes in the walls, cockroaches in the bathtub and a balled up pair of socks behind the bathroom doors. We left and booked a different hotel.

I walked in and wasn't even there 2 minutes. I had to walk out it smelled so terrible like smoke and there were cockroaches. Dead and alive ones. I grabbed my kids and ran out. Not to mention there we alot of men all standing around smoking, drinking alcohol and hanging out outside their rooms being loud in the common area. This place is really ran down. Also there was a man with a back pack filled of items that he was asking eveyone if they wanted to buy anything. This was all going down at midnight. Not a place to stay at all.

It was filthy. There was trash everywhere. There were trashy people everywhere. They didn’t have coffee.

I was treated rudely since i arrived Staff’s attitude was extremely rude and accused me of doing something I never did. It wasn’t even my car involved in the incident. They refused to return the deposit and said they where going to call the police and I had nothing to do with the incident.

The bed!! The sheets didn't fit so we were laying on plastic all night. Getting up to fix it and just sticking to the plastic on the mattress. Horrible sleep!

Nothing There is a homeless encampment adjacent to the property. I arrived at ~1am people were wandering around the parking lot & the cul-de-sac adjacent to the property. The room was not clean. No blankets. Crinkly plastic under the fitted sheets. No remote for the TV (so unusable). Someone knocked on my door >3 times at 4am— when I went to see what it was about I learned that the peephole was filled with plaster & unusable; so I kept the lights out & basically hid in my room. There were cheaper places to stay in Bakersfield but I chose to stay here expecting its higher price and rating would mean it would be cleaner & safer— it was neither

Room was full of ear wigs and roaches then when we laid an extra 60 for late check out they were on our ass to the min saying they had to clean the room, which left me to wonder where the hell they where before I checked in… sink leaked and underneath had mold , air con barley worked and there was a huge drug/illegal activity bust which required over 10 sheriff cars close to our checkout. I would give this nasty place negative stars if I could

Very comfortable beds. Not in the best location but right off freeway. Pool was not open. Drained and unavailable. Room kinda smelled like smoke and had a sheet with a cigarette burn while. Oh and no top comforter only a think sheet. Recommend bring your own blanket.

Sketchy area, dirty room, loud at night. As two well-traveled women, we did NOT feel safe or sanitary staying here or leaving our car in the lot. Although we ended up being fine overall, there was a 2:15 AM alarming knock at our door and the front desk staff said they’d scope it out but we never saw them walk by the room or check like we asked. The only reason we did end up staying the night is because we arrived around 10 PM and didn’t want to go back outside because of the environment—people (who obviously lived there) loitering, smashed car windshields, waterless pool despite the ad, and garbage everywhere (least of our concerns, but it showed this hotel just did not care). The room was clearly not swept; there were clumps of hair and dirt throughout the rooms. The bed was neatly made but the sheets, pillows, and pillowcases had stains, as did the shower curtain, and so did the towels when we had to go get them, so literally every possible linen. It was gross. The AC, sink and shower worked well, so if you don’t care about basic cleanliness or the environment then I guess you’d be fine. We are super lowkey and had even been camping the few nights prior (so we’re used to roughing it), but this place was so gnarly I wanted to warn other female travelers or generally clean people to stay away. We picked this place because it’s a 3 minute walk to Kern River but the hotel is surrounded by a barbed wire fence and I wouldn’t want to walk to the river after seeing the environment.

It was the worst experience ever. I booked with Expedia for the whole week. I got into my room and there was no hand towel or wash cloth so I had to go the office to get those. Then I had to go back to the office to get ice because I looked around the whole hotel and couldn’t find it (it was in the back of the office). I went back to my room and I washed my face in the sink and it started backing up with brown water. THEN I tried to take a shower and there was NO WATER. It looked like the water had not come out of the shower in a long time. The handle looked broken and no matter how I tried to turn it, not even a drop came out. So I packed up all my stuff and went down to the office for the third time and told her the situation and she said I couldn’t move because I already used the room. I had been in there for about 10 min and didn’t even sit on the bed. I was very upset and insisted that I moved to another room. She finally agreed but very reluctantly. She also went to my old room to check I hadn’t messed up the room. I tried to check out 2 days early (Wednesday) because I found somewhere else to stay but the front office door was locked and no one was there. So i went back on Thursday and the same woman said she couldn’t give a refund for any of the days because it was too late.

Every time the a/c unit kicked on , it sounded as if a train was going by outside the room. Breakfast? What breakfast? The worst part ever the night clerk gave someone who claimed to be in our room a key and tried to enter the room at 3:00AM.The only thing keeping them from entering was the security latch on the door. What happened to security by verifying the identity on the people who claim that they lost or left their key in the room? That is a huge breach of security!

Air conditioning is okay, but not the best and it looks like if you turned it on you’re going to get sick. The park is good over all and the view is alright. The shower was the best part because it felt like hot rib jet on your body.

Brand new waffle iron and other equipment sat on the floor in boxes but never put to use in a week. A car with no windshield and 2 missing tires and rims sat on the property, homeless digging in the garage they camp out in the riverbed next to the hotel. I called on the Monday Expedia. Not only was it loose but we could not unlock the door at all. After that, it did not take long to decide to leave and drive an hour and a half long, all the way home at midnight. I let the office know I was not staying and asked for a refund which was denied. The end.

Besides the place being much crappier than shown on the photos, I had originally paid to stay for 3 days and only ended up staying two, being PROMISED that I would get a refund. In the end, I never got a refund and they REFUSED to pick up the phone. $200 dollars gone.

We have no positive feedback about the property, the rooms and service because the room we reserved was not available at the check-in time. The person in the front desk told us no rooms were avaliable because someone in the housekeeping staff decided to walk out of the job. So he had no one avaliable to clean the rooms. He recommended that we call Expedia to cancel our reservation.

I don't recommend this place, Shower curtain was dirty, Sink and toilet dirty, not enough towel, No microwave, no coffee maker, no bag for dirty clothes, no iron, the room key did not work, front desk lady had to open it manually because the lock batteries weren't working, Parking was to far from rooms, too mich traffic noise

This hotel was terrible! This "non-smoking" room reaked of cigarettes and cheap perfume! The location was very unsafe and there was drug activity in the parking lot. We never even walked past the thresshold of the door after we opened the room door because the conditions were so poor. When we requested a refund the management refused! When I called customer service they also were unable to help me.

We chose not to stay at the property as my wife felt uncomfortable with the weekly/monthly tenants loitering around the property. The staff member was very cordial but I lost my Expedia payment. We went elsewhere!

We arrived at 630pm and the office was locked. No one seemed to be around to check us in. We saw a few insavory characters hanging around, and the property is surrounded by a metal fence with a coded entry. We did not feel safe and since we couldn't check in we left and found a room at another property. I lost the money I prepaid (fortunately not much since I wasted $30 on One Key Cash on it), but had no way to talk with anyone about it.

I do not recommend this hotel. While the employees were nice, the room was not. The beds were not comfortable, we were initially only provided with one towel, two nights in a row our room key did not work, and their were several homeless people in the area.

Room had a peculiar odor. We stay at Wyndham's in Utah and it is wonderful, this was in Bakersfield CA and we left without staying. Seeking a refund! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Could not sleep or breathe the entire night. Showers covered in pubic hairs, claw marks all over the toilet seat, stains on the chairs and counters. There is no fridge in any of the rooms, the absolute bare minimum

Nice for an affordable stay. The property is going through some renovations which is impacting the cleanliness and overall appeal of the property. For example the pool was drained and had debris and garbage in it.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK .. THEY ADVERTISE BREAKFAST, THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE COFFEE, NO ICE BUCKET , HALKF USED TOILET TISSUE ROLLS, ETC.

Just ok. A lot of questionable people staying at the hotel. Regardless no one bothered me. Room had a funky smell, the faucet still had a lot of specks of toothpaste and soap. And the sheets were clean but stained. Free Breakfast included is a lie. Breakfast is just granola bars and coffee. No decaf though. It was not the worst hotel but it was definitely not the best. I would actually stay again for the right price.

We enjoyed our room, and the bed was very comfortable. Just wish there were better soap, shampoo, and conditioner in size.

Nobody was present for me to check in with. The lobby door was opened, yet nobody answered the phone nor did they ever show up. I left because I got tired of waiting and booked another property. I'm still trying to get a refund for the accommodation I did not use (since nobody showed up). Avoid this place!

It was a pretty good stay in a nice welcoming clean environment. Was a little turned off by night staff, was lied to about total per night. She said $84/night. After I booked for $64. So was a little confused about that. And snacks for breakfast, oatmeal and granola bars. But other than that, very nice hotel! I enjoyed my stay!

This was a horrible dirty room in a crummy run-down transient infested area. The room was small, filthy and old. The bed was covered in noisy plastic under sheet and it was like sleeping on a plastic bag. The room smelled horrible and the A/C or heater sounds like a jet engine starting and stopping all night. The transients sat outside with loud music all night. I’d rather sleep in my car than stay at this filthy place. There was hair and gunk in the sink. When I wiped up some water off the floor, the white towel was black with filth from unmapped floors. This place needs to be bulldozed and Wyndham should be embarrassed to have their name on this building!
