No free breakfast; coffee was out (even after notifying staff and asking for some); $10 parking fee (which seemed unnecessary as the lot was big.

No free coffee to go in the lobby. No buffet breakfast. Instead they have a sit down place where you have to order food from a small menu that they will microwave for you. Yuk.

Check in staff was very warm and welcoming. Room was clean and had good AC. Good parking. Will definitely stay again

The front desk staff was very rude. We stayed because it was later and we were tired but otherwise would have found other accommodations. There are many other hotels in this area, I would recommend staying in one of them instead. The room was ok, it was clean but the furnishings were worn.

I reserved this property online and was supposed to see the price which was supposed to include all charges and fees. When I arrived at the property, they sprang an outrageous pet fee on me which was almost as much as the room itself. Staff was unwilling to work with me so I left. I found another property where the fee was minimal. Shame on you Marriott!

The hotel lobby has a certain smell that makes it feel older and dirty the moment you walk in. In comparison to other Courtyard hotels I've stayed in, the amenities were lacking for the price of the room. The actual hotel room felt clean and the bed was comfortable; but the common area/lobby didn't feel clean or well maintained.

Was informed that they recently started charging $10 a day for parking. I’ve stayed at 4 other hotels in the same area and never been charged for parking. The cable was out, so no TV for the 3 days. Because I asked, they said they would comp me Breakfast my last day. Good thing I checked my charges before I left. Breakfast was on my bill. Also was charged a little more than Hotels.com said. Was told it was a city tax. That is supposed to be included in quoted price. Was not happy!

It was an Older hotel and it Looked like our room’s ceiling was a Popcorn ceiling. It made us wonder about the risks. AC made noise. The staff was nice though. They did offer us complimentary breakfast but don’t think that makes up for the issues. Overall, disappointing for a Mariott and more expensive than other hotels nearby despite being dated and not offering any other amenities. See above

The Suite room was very nice, and with a small dog it was well worth paying more, BUT, I do think their pet charge of $120 for the first night is excessive! I found other brands in the area do have lower fees that are within the 'reasonable range'.

Older lady at front desk was incredible. Younger lady with longer light brown hair that began working the front desk about 7:30 am was incredibly rude. We left and I said have a great day she looked up glared at me and said nothing. There is no way this lady should be at the front desk. She was even rude to the nice older lady who was giving her the updates from the over night shift!

1st, the reservation from Expedia clearly says check in 3pm. We arrived at 3:30pm to be told our room wasn't ready. Then we had to wait 45min in the lobby on our room. Nobody in the cafe clised, so nothing even to drink while wr waited. The room major disappointment. Had to call 5:30 am to figure out the ridiculous shower, that still sucked. Not a very comfortable place. Everything is renters cheap furnished.

I have stayed at this property multiple times. It is convenient right off the 99 freeway. I like that breakfast is on site & there are restaurants within walking distance. I traveled alone & felt safe. Also appreciate that it is dog friendly. Even though the price $75 ,additional fee seems high. Comfortable rooms & beds. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was amazing, with a cheerful staff. No chairs in hallway on the floors and no easy chairs on ground floor. Thus, no comfy seats for reading in the morning while spouse still slept.

I booked a room here as my halfway stop from the Bay Area to San Diego. I had a 26FT truck along with my vehicle being towed. I arrived on site at 2AM. When I spoke with the front desk person they informed me I had already checked into my room at 5PM. Which is impossible being that I was on the road. They gave away my room to someone else without even checking their identification. I wasn’t able to check into my room until 3AM. On top of that I had to pay an addition $170 dollars, and I had already paid for my room online. I have yet to receive my refund. Avoid coming here at all cost.

Stayed here for a funeral. The best part was the roomy comfortable seating areas for guests in lobby. We were able to sit with family and visit in the hotel space. COULD NOT RECOMEND THIS CHAIN TO ANYONE, FOUR PEOPLE WERE REGISTERED FOR ROOM YET ONLY ENOUGH TOWLS FOR THREE GUESTS, SHAMPOO AND BODY WASH DISPENSERS NEED LARGER LABLEING TOO SMALL TO READ, upon checkout while leaving room maids saw us leaving but still left they're cleaning and laundry carts blocking hallway we had to move them just to get by. NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

I had a fantastic experience at the Courtyard Hotel in Bakersfield! The staff truly made my stay enjoyable. Muhammad at the reception was incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Benjamin, who handled breakfast service, was equally impressive, providing excellent service with a friendly smile. Their dedication made my visit memorable. Highly recommend this hotel!
