-room sign was a printed paper taped to the door -fixed sign on the wall stated it was a meeting/board room -had stained futon -two queen beds were murphy beds -broken board was laying under the bed -broken blinds that wouldn't close -dusty blinds -restroom fixtures in the bathroom -Baseboards were in bad shape -towels had red stains -pillows were lumpy -only good thing about the room was the size.

Convenient. Close to everything. The curtains wouldn't close all the way. I had to use one of my hair clips to secure them shut. The air conditioner was loud and sounded like it is going to die out soon. The shower floor didn't seem clean. Not sure how it received a good review.

This was a last minute plan change hotel for us, we just needed something convenient and cheap so we didn't expect much. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Booking mentioned 2 beds but when we asked we got told we booked the 1 bed and there were no others available. Pool is in the shade most of the time. Breakfast was not good. Okay to take some muffins/bagels etc. but they might be better off just not offering hot items.

It was a very busy day with outside people trying to come in and cause havoc, however the young lady that helped us checked in was very professional and helpful and handled the situations that were inc ring of her beautiful. Our stay was very pleasant and she made it so easy even after I got locked out of my room( my fault). She was awesome and just want to recognize her for her dedicated customer service.

Absolutely everything about this hotel is disgusting. I need to get a medical check-up to see what damage all this filth has done to my health. I arrived from a trip at 1:00 AM with my two-year-old son, who was asleep in the car outside. It took an extremely long time to check us in; they claimed that my reservation hadn't yet come through via Booking.com—even though we needed to leave the hotel by 6:00 AM to continue our journey. We were staying at the hotel for a mere 4.5 hours in total, yet we ended up spending 40 minutes of that time at the front desk in the middle of the night. When we finally got into the room, the air was unbreathable; everything was disgustingly filthy, sticky, stained, and reeked terribly. I sprayed bottles of my expensive perfume, but even that didn't help; I simply couldn't sleep amidst that stench, so at 5:00 AM, we fled the place. This is the most terrible hotel I have ever stayed in. Please do not repeat my mistake—please, never stay there.

The breakfast is just ok not high quality but neither are the rooms. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking and smelled of cigarette smoke. The iron didn't work and water drained all over my clothes. We had the iron swapped out WITH hassles from staff. The bed Was Comfy. The bath and shower held smelled nice. The property is right next to the highway. The hallways smelled of poopy diapers. Will NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. Bathroom mirror frame cracked and hung crooked. The shelf over the toilet had been broken and was re-hung in an usable state. The area where the hotel is located is rundown appears not very safe.

I liked the location and the lobby. The property was conveniently located near my sister, which was the main reason I chose it. Unfortunately, I was unable to stay due to a reservation issue. While addressing the problem, the front desk employee appeared distracted and was chewing gum during our conversation, which came across as unprofessional. The situation was frustrating and left a negative impression.

The breakfast was decent. Not sure where to begin. We booked a room with a king size bed. We got a king size bed with 4 small unflattering pillows. They were more like couch throw pillows, but flat. Had 2 uncomfortable nights. I was not able to sleep well. The carpets could use some shampooing. My white socks were filthy dirty, I was not about to walk on that carpet barefoot. The shower wall had some broken tiles and poor job of painting over them. A lot of homeless around the area. The parking lot gate locks at 8pm, however it was stuck when we arrived after 8pm. My husband had to ask for assistance. The gentleman came out and kicked the gate a few times before it finally opened. We will not be staying here again, nor recommend it.

Nice clean room- just what we needed for an overnight on a trip. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices and a very attentive server. The only negative was the low water pressure.

Pleasantly surprised at the size of the room having an extra room with a settee for relaxing. The bed was really comfy, breakfast was good too. We especially like the gated parking for extra security.

I liked that there was two rooms and a bathroom. I had plenty of space. I didn’t like the staff entering my room when I didn’t hear the knock.

The location was very close to the mall and close to the freeway was amazing which was very convenient. The woman at the front desk when checking in was so amazing, I was very happy with her customer service and she does an exceptional job. I utilized the fitness room and it was good, nothing special about it. The pool was open but I didn't use it. The AC worked great in the room especially for how hot it was outside. The beds were very comfortable. Cons: The room size was not what I expected, but I made it work. The temperature in the shower was very inconsistent, and the shower head sprayed water all over the outside of the shower but I did appreciate the nonslip floor in shower. I also didn't understand how to turn on the shower for almost a minute or so. It shouldn't be that complicated to turn on and off the water for a shower. Now the breakfast, where do I begin, the potatoes has so much black pepper, I was getting heartburn just from eating one or two. How do you have cereal with no milk? There was only one waffle maker, making people to have to wait when it's best to just have two to speed up the process. There were not many options for fruit, the sausage tasted like it was boiled in water which is not very appetizing. Overall my stay was fair, if it wasn't for the customer service from the lady at check out, I would rate this place worse.

Good value, nice large room for my small dog & me, working elevators at both front & rear, secure parking lot, decent breakfast and good coffee. Also quiet, and well furnished with ample lighting, fridge, micro... Pet fee is very reasonable. AC & heat worked fine. I would def return here! There really isn't a pet area to take them out. We walked the parking lot at night & morning. The doggie bag box was broken. But I carry bags and it did suffice.

Clean room, staff pleasant enough seemed a little uninformed or maybe just not concerned. I asked about having 2 room keys because there were 2 adults in the room. The staff replied we’re only able to give you one because we do not get them back. Most hotels do not expect them back, maybe some hotels are just different in that regard.

The size of the room.

That it was in Bakersfield Staff clean the rooms more better walls were dirty. Fill up the shampoo and conditioner to fix the beds. A little bit better the sofa bed needs a new mattress. Fixtures had rust on there.

The staff was ok. The parking lot is horrible, had a hard time finding our room, our room was facing a wall, and the door did not lock. Also when I called front desk to report it the guy said he would check it if someone came in?! Will never stay here again.

Upon our arrival, the agent requested my husband's id when the reservation for 2 rooms was in my name and on my credit card. Once we got settled in our room we discovered there was a leak in the shower coming from the 2nd floor with water on the bathroom floor, when we reported this to the same desk clerk he informed us there were no other rooms available and that someone would check out the problem in the morning, which never happened he offered my husband 1 towel to clean the mess up his manager stepped in and offered my husband his apologies. The next morning the breakfast was amazing and the staff a lady at the front desk was very helpful when my grandson lost his earbuds in breakfast area which we later found. When we came in Saturday evening, we discovered the ice machine was out of order, so my husband went to the front desk and the same desk clerk from the night before informed him the manager had ordered 1 bag of ice for the entire hotel and there was none left. I couldn't believe it, so I went to talk to the gentlemen myself he told me the same thing. I returned to my room and a few minutes later I got a call from the same desk clerk saying they had just received 2 bags of ice, and we could now come back and get a bucket of ice for 1 room not the 2nd room. When I asked him about the pool and sauna which also had an out of order sign on it, he informed me it was only available in the spring, which was one of the perks advertised. One employee affected our whole stay

We stayed here one night (Saturday to Sunday). We arrived around 3pm. Staff was friendly. Check-in was fine. The room smelled like cigarettes but not too bad. It probably was a smoking room at one time but they tried to clean it. There was scratching and gnawing that kept me up all night. I think the might have some kind of animal in their walls or ceiling. We were on their third floor and they only have three floors so I figure if it isn’t in the wall, it’s probably on the roof. When my husband turned and made noise the scratching would stop then start again after it was quiet. The AC was not very effective. It was hot in the room. The hot tub was out of service.

Nice, only complaint was that the maid walked into our room in the morning, a little before 10am, didn’t even knock to check if we were in there literally just walked in, I thought it was weird considering check out time is 11am.

the only good thing i can say was that they had semi good breakfast. The staff were rude. The people on top were very noisy we complained multiple times with videos and they wouldn’t switch us to a different room. The ac made so many noises sounded like a misil was going to hit us. there was mold and cracks we ask for room service and different sheets bc ours were dirty never came. the pool was dirty and jacuzzi out of service. over all for the 300+ dollars i spent it’s not worth it should’ve paid 60 for a motel and go the same service.

Elevator was questionable. Breakfast ended to early and I didn't get an opportunity to experience. Didn't like that the night receptionist was giving me my info for my stay right in front of another questionable guest. Made me feel unsafe.

Decent rooms for the price. We have 2 dogs so $50 was a good price for our stay for pets. The breakfast was average. The ice machine was broken the first few days of our stay but they fixed it over the weekend. Housekeeping leaves early so make sure you request early. We stayed 5 days and did not receive housekeeping

There were also several hairs in the bed and the hot tub was broken. I asked for a new room but was told all the rooms were in this same condition. I paid slightly higher to stay in what I thought was a step up from a $50-$70 room but I think those hotels may have been in better conditions as I passed them on the road.

I wish I had caught the gentleman’s name that was working overnight on 12/30, he was so incredibly helpful and friendly. I had come to the area to visit friends and am unfamiliar with Bakersfield. I booked another hotel that I was unable to stay at once I checked in, it was not clean and I felt very unsafe (the photos on the site, rating, and reviews were good too). I called the number for the Country Inn & Suites and asked if they had a room for that night and if I would be able to check in right then, it was after midnight, he said yes. I arrived in less than 10 minutes, he made the process super simple and efficient. I checked the room to make sure, since the previous experience was not great, and the room was clean and perfect for my needs. My son and I stayed 3 nights, slept well, and had a safe stay. I would stay here again on another trip to Bakersfield.

The hallways smelled strongly of what seemed like bedbug chemicals, which was both unpleasant and concerning. While the room appeared acceptable at first glance, it was clearly old and worn. The ceiling had visible yellow water stains, making the space feel neglected and poorly maintained. Overall, the quality did not come close to justifying the price. You could easily find the same or better experience elsewhere for half the cost. I regret choosing this hotel and overpaying for the Radisson brand, which in this case was misleading and disappointing. Breakfast was another major disappointment. The food was comparable to the cheapest options available, unhealthy, low-quality, and lacking freshness or variety. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

The front desk receptionist wanted to charge me a $50 dollar fee for my dog. I explained he is an ESA animal and normally I am not charged a fee since he is considered medical equipment not a pet. He says ok and no fee will be applied. 10 minutes later he calls my room and tells me he has talked to management and all animals are charged a fee regardless if they are esa, which is illegal in California.

My main complaint has been the last three times me and my partner have stayed here, we’ve been given rooms that are just horrible in terms of how badly they smell of cigarette. For a hotel that claims to be a smoke free hotel, it doesn’t do a very good job of enforcing that rule.

Our room was on the third floor and during our whole stay, as soon as we exited the elevator the smell of weed was very strong. It penetrated into our room! Absolutely disgusting.

The air conditioning was great once we closed the bathroom door so the cool air could move to the other rooms in the suite. The parking is behind a code sensored gate so it felt very safe.

The shower had a loud whistle sound when we took a warm shower. The pillows on the bed are the worst. I had to use 4 pillows just to try have a decent sleep.

The walk to the restaurants was a little sketchy. My living room smelled like weed and chlorine since it was over the pool. Bed was firm which is what I prefer so I slept well.

It was not up to par for the amount i payed. I would have not stayed there if i knew the set up and the condition of the bathtub. They have a gated parking that they open up in the morning and anyone can just walk in there.

The room was in need of repairs and dirty. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were half-size and the comforter was stained.

I reserved 2 rooms, had stained towels, mold in shower, ants in bathroom, shower was hot/cold inconsistent while showering. The hotel pool was green so my kids were unable to swim yet they advertised a clean looking pool

We first checked in and the room was quite warm. (It was about 105 outside) I finally went to the front desk to see if we could move to another room since the a/c was not keeping up. Teresa came and checked the a/c and then checked out a different room and subsequently moved us there. She was great. Also, there is a "bar" near the lobby. It only has beer and a couple of sweeter wines, so I'm reluctant to actually call it a bar. Kudos to Teresa for taking care of us.

Dirty, grimy, old poorly insulated windows with a dog barking outside. Lousy continental breakfast. I paid a little more for this over some other chain brands as I’ve always had a good experience with country inn and suites. Would not stay here again.

Room had black mold in it! My wife is allergic to it, and we had our 5 month old baby with us. When I tried to switch rooms or get a refund to go elsewhere to sleep safely, they said it was full and could not offer a refund!! We had photos in hand and they did not care! This place forces their guests to breathe in black mold and pay for it! The staff were incredibly rude about and completely indifferent! The situation was so bad, another guest offered us to stay in their room on the sofa bed, which we did!!!!!! We paid for a king size suite, only to sleep in another guests room for safety????!!! This place is an absolute dump!! The place itself is so run down in general and the area very unsafe. The place in its entirety, bed, building and surrounding area are highly comparable to a motel 6. Dirty, moldy bathroom, room, stained yellowed- bedding, dirty carpet, VERY dirty walls, curtains, prostitution, and definitely not sound proof as stated. Worst place ever booked. Photos are misleading! This place is not family oriented nor is it safe. The entire thing is like putting an old and cheap lipstick on a pig. Please keep you and your family safe and DO NOT book here unless you want to leave with an illness!

The service and room are good. However I suggest they should put towel rack in the bathroom and get more quality pillows. Overall our stay was good.

We didn't stay in this hotel even though my husband book it in the wrong date. We had to book another hotel for the right date which was Sunday July 27. So we can say anything about it.

There was a big cockroach in our room. Asked to switch rooms and they wanted to charge me $50 more because now the room we were in was now dirty because I was in there for two hours.

Dirty dirty dirty... beds pillows were not great but doable. Night front desk was amazing super friendly. I cant say the same for the morning lady when we checked out.

Everything was nice comfortable and clean

easy check in and check out. Decent breakfast. Helpful staff. No complaints. Would stay again if I'm back in the area.

Pool was small but clean, room was on the smaller size for a king suite but clean and quiet.

We stayed the first night in a nice King 1 bedroom suite. It was very comfortable and quit. We decided to stay an additional night because we’re tired. That room was a queen with a full kitchen. It was clean except for the appliances which we did not need. It had a balcony that would have been nice but off the freeway and crummy. I think it was the last room . Definitely needs renovation.

Like the property, I've stayed a few times now. It wasn't as clean this time and we were shockingly awakened several times by roosters.

Dirty Bathroom, breakfast was nasty, clogged sink, and overall bad experience would never stay here again.

Room had a stench & a crowing rooster. I checked out immediately & went to another hotel.

Looks like an apt complex turned into a hotel. Outside property was not very clean. Unit itself was run down. Smells like cigarette smoke everywhere

The breakfast was nice! The parking area is gated, so that feels safe. Pretty noisy with a party going on in someone’s room, but it wasn’t the hotels fault. The hotel is definitely older and you get what you pay for. It was clean though!

The front desk staff seemed indifferent when we checked in, which didn’t give us the warmest welcome. Additionally, we were placed in an accessible room without being asked, and the bathroom setup made it difficult to keep the shower area dry, causing a mess. The staff at the breakfast was great!!!

I was in Bakersfield, CA for business. The room I had was big but not clean. The furniture was used, and it looked it. The breakfast they offered was ok, nothing great, Staff was friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel was ok. Its next to a mall and a target. Lots of fast-food places to eat. The hotel was busy, and you could hear kids running up and down the hallway. Its ok for a one or two night, but I was there for a week.

Good for a business stay. However not good for a family trip. There is a weird smell in the hole hotel. Also don’t waist your money on a premium room. They are all the same. The pictures I think exaggerate, they are not as nice as the pic shows.

It is newly remodeled and looks great online. But still smells like smoking carpet is not the greatest. Only one mirror in the restroom.

The pictures of the hotel looked great, however when we got there it was much smaller and not as tip-top as I expected. The night staff was rude and could barely lift a finger to help. The hotel itself is not in terrible shape but more run down than I expected. The pool and hot tub were freezing and the breakfast was about half of what the picture showed. The only upside was the one lady at the breakfast bar was working hard and even cleaning the backsplash. No one else seemed to care. Overall, a disappointing experience.

The room was a two room suite not just a single room with a bed. For the price this was it was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay there again...

Price was ok. Area isn’t great. Room wasn’t the cleanest. There are roosters at a house next to this motel that wake you up very early. And breakfast was scrambled eggs and beans?? Who serves pinto beans for breakfast. Do yourself a favor, spend an extra 40 and go to a better spot. Staff was friendly.

This was a stay for the night on the way to a destination. It wasn’t the worst hotel we’ve stayed in in our lengthy traveling life…but close. It took three different rooms until we had one with heat and no cigarette smoke. The desk clerk was totally disinterested in providing help. The room had water damage that had not been fixed …part of the bathroom door was destroyed from apparent flood. The wall in the main room had obvious damage from leak from floor above…just painted over. Room was depressing. We didn’t bother with the breakfast.

The shower/tub was in the bedroom area, on a platform, and not part of the bathroom. Very weird design. The fan in the bathroom had a motion sensor that could not be turned off. Midnight visits to the bathroom turned on this very noisy fan. The facility ran out of food for breakfast, and we had to wait for a replenishment. When I arrived, there were three police cars at the hotel. The staff would not say what the issue was.

Also the wifi was intermittent. Wifi barely worked inside our hotel room for the entire trip. Last year when i stayed here things were functional and returned. I will not return .

This property is located in a rather seedy location, so as a solo female I would not stay there again. The young man who checked me in was condescending when I had questions about getting back into the hotel since the key reader at the door was broken. My sheets were rumpled and looked dirty. The property is pretty run down in general.

i stay here a lot and every time has been great,the staff is very nice and their cont.breakfest is the best

-broken window. Part of the glass was missing -blinds were chipped -random pieces of furniture was stored in the closet.

The worst experience, they assigned us a room that they used as a meeting room, horrible, dirty, no curtains, the air leaked through the windows, no paper and towel area in the bathroom, boiling water for several minutes and then extremely cold water for more than 3 minutes.

I’ve stayed here a handful of times for work , usually it’s acceptable the prices are okay . This time two morning in a row I went to take showers and both morning the water was cold and I told them in the office and they did nothing . Disappointed, specially being a repeat costumer

Bathroom was outdated and needed repair, ie: missing tub and tile caulking. Pet friendly lawn area soggy with standing water from over watering.

This property looks beautiful but everything is broken. I had to ask for a room change because the room I first got was dirty and everything was broken. I moved to another room that was way better but you can tell repairs needed to be done
