    I paid for suite. The bathroom was dirty. There was snot on the shower curtain. The room was right next to the elevator. It was even noisy in the bedroom from the elevator.

    Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and fantastic room. Very comfortable. Concierge arranged for late check-out at no extra charge to enable me to keep my bags in my room and shower before flying out - which is really useful and appreciated. Spa was closed (but was still being promoted on the TV in the room, and on pamphlets) which was disappointing.

    Excellent staff, room was very clean. I left my new IPhone on the table Saturday morning in the Serenade restaurant after having a delicious breakfast with my wife. Our waiter turned my phone over to the manager and he kept it secured until I realized I had left it. Very honest employees , so thankful!!!!

    From stepping out of the car all the way through the end of my trip, all staff were incredible and exactly what I've come to expect from W properties. Everyone was kind, attentive and helpful. I had requested my room to be available early if possible and they were able to accommodate. The restaurant and cafe were both fantastic along with the amenities and my room was clean and comfortable. Thank you for a great stay!

We were wowed when we opened the door to celebratory strawberries and champagne. My heart melted. My husband and I were thrilled and appreciative!

    Our brief stay at the W only served to remind us of how much Austin has fallen from the city we all once loved very much when we were young. I travel for work and stay in hotels weekly. I have been treated better at a $40/night cinderblock motel than how we were treated at The W. It all started when we pulled up to have our truck valet parked. Instantly, the young parking attendant gave attitude. He said, "I can't park that!" My husband said, with that attitude you can't" That was not received well, more attitude. Once we went inside to check in there was another patron having an issue with the front desk. A couple employees standing at he check in desk ignored us for 20 minutes before we were acknowledged. One of the bartenders at the speak easy type bar was very nice and helpful. The other bartender, not so much. He was rude. The other bartenders were getting large tips. We were being handed drink after drink. One patron at the bar was extremely rude to my husband and when my husband finally shot back a rude response, apparently this snowflake of a human being couldnt handle the response. He complained to the staff. When we wrapped up the night and in our room, we were met by a cop and manager telling us to get our things and get out. It seems once the tips stopped they threw us out with bs reasons. We were over served and in no shape to be on Austin streets at 2am with no where to go. The W panders to certain types with no real concern for all their patrons.

My only complaints are that 1) there was only one valet working and he was being called in a lot of directions so he wasn’t readily available and so there was a long wait to check in the car and 2) ordered room service. After 40 mins I called and they said they need another 20 mins. After 2 hours I cancelled it and just didn’t eat dinner that night. It was only 2 hamburgers! 😬

    The room is comfortable and clean. Gym facility is great. The location is very good, easy to walk to most of the restaurants, offices and touristic places. The reception staff. They did not inform me about the ongoing renovations inside and outside the hotel. As a first-time guest, this information would have been helpful in managing my expectations. Additionally, their demeanor seemed unapproachable, with a lack of eye contact and proactivity. One evening, there were two fire trucks outside the hotel. While entering, I inquired with the reception staff about the situation. Unfortunately, they simply responded with "no" and did not show any concern for my safety or attempt to gather further information. I believe a little more attentiveness and proactive communication from the reception staff could significantly enhance the guest experience.

    I called to question the high charges, was transferred to the manager, who argued with me that the price is in line despite my having stayed at Fairmont two weeks ago and having my valet comped as a hotel guest. I then asked if he has the authority to comp at least one night to which he replied “I do but I’m not going to”. !! Other notes: They forgot our room service order one night so they did comp the order but it took 90 mins to arrive. I would have rather paid and gotten my dinner on time (as expected). I ordered an americano from the on site restaurant Trace one morning, it took 10 mins for the bartender to bring it and when she did she just brought straight espresso. I asked her if she had hot water and she said she didn’t but she could get some. Took another 5 mins. Personally I will never be back knowing all the other great options in town- Proper, Fairmont, Thompson, Westin, JW Marriot. ANYWHERE but here.

    The service at both bars-in the lobby and in the restaurant was terrible. Had to literally call "excuse me" because they would never come check if you needed anything. Just not enough staff I guess. The carpet in the common areas was pretty dirty. I like moody hotels but in my opinion the lights should be turned about 30-50% brighter in the hallways.

    I paid a ridiculous amount of money for a queen room. I also paid for an ADA room. We had one person in a wheelchair and the chair could barely fit into the room it did not fit into the bathroom. I would just like to know why we weren’t offered the room that we paid for? We were told that because we booked through a third-party that they could only accommodate us with what they had.

    The only thing good about the stay was the location and the valet service. The layout of the room was decent. However, the bed was horribly uncomfortable. The sheets and pillows were itchy and unsanitary. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend.

    Excellent location downtown with easy access to everything around Austin. Room was comfortable, NYE event was fun, we didn't enjoy the restaurants and pool, but they looked nice.     OK stay. Hallway had broken glass and spilled food. People partying until 4am and the down feather pillows were very uncomfortable making for a bad nights sleep. Interestingly enough they don’t even have a door for privacy between the shower and bedroom - you’ll have to call for a privacy curtain. Also had to call for a nespresso, twice, because the room didn’t have one. Had to call for towels as well. The furniture and carpets could use a deep clean as they’re very stained. Service was slow poolside - 30 minutes for chips and salsa to come and I had to follow up on where my order was. Trace for breakfast was soooo slow. Nothing special and wouldn’t stay again or recommend. There are many other great high end options in town that actually live up to the level of service expected for the price point.

One disappointment was not a heated pool, that could’ve been a seasonal thing, I definitely like a good local craft draft beer, was disappointed there was not any draft beer at the bar. The gym was flat out incredible, one of the largest ones I’ve stayed at. Stayed at “the line“ two weeks ago and the Fairmont last weekend, as I am in Austin generally a couple of times a a month. I’ll certainly be back to the W always a good experience.

    Got sick and throw up. I was not drunk just had the flu coming on and they charged me $500 clean up fee. Next day I was diagnosed with the flu. Terrible treatment. I got engaged their and they treated us very bad on our engagement day!

    I really appreciated the complimentary water bottles. I loved the body lotion in the bathroom. The pool was phenomenal and there are complimentary towels at the pool. We ordered room service and the food was great! The only downside of the hotel is that the internet was slow and there was no cell phone reception but overall, the best hotel in downtown Austin.

    I wasn't impressed with a couple of staff interactions and on top of that when I made a remark to speak to someone in charge it was not handled properly. That accompanied with my room being too noisy I will probably never come back to the W. very unfortunate.

    Overall the service and amenities were phenomenal - superb gym facility. The room and hallways see a bit outdated with carpet stains ETC for a $320 a night hotel. Update the rooms and clean/replace the carpets and this would get a 5 star rating from me

    Upon arriving it was a prejudice atmosphere , everything was fake about the whole experience . If your looking for privacy this isn’t the place , no doors in the restroom area, beds were sloppy , only 6 people in the pool at a time , two page waiting list for the pool. Also lied about pool hours was told it closed at 6pm to later find out it was actually 8pm. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary which was totally messed up due to the W!!! I wouldn’t recommend no one !!!!

    I know COVID is affecting business however only having one bartender wasn't fair to him nor the guests. Actually there were people by the pool, but only residence of the building, we couldn't use it. $350/night for a Best Western prison room. Horrible experience. If the pool isn't open don't show pictures on your website of the pool!!
