I always stay at The Line when visiting Austin. It's a great location right on the lake and near South Congress which is my favorite shopping area. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the shower is amazing. All 3 restaurants are worth checking out. The pool is relaxing in the morning and a fun social whirl later in the day.
- 5/5
In Austin because of the beautiful view of town lake. Stay in a high floor and request a view of Town Lake. We would like to thank Carolina who upgraded us to the “Bridge Suite” on the 7th and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was crowded but there were plenty of towels and seating for everyone. Even busy the line at the bar was only 2 people. Place your order for Veracruz tacos early because they take a while but are SO worth the wait. The Barbacoa was so tasty! Later that evening we watched the bats from our room just after the sun set. Always fun! In the morning the room service arrived on time and everything was prepared perfectly. In my opinion you can judge a hotel by how the room service operates, and this was perfect. The açaí bowl was delicious. The only one thing was that one side of the room looked down onto the AC/maintenance part of the building, but we had 3 sets of windows so that did not bother me. We did not eat at Arlo Grey but have before and it’s good - the idea is to sit next to the window so you can watch the boats go by on town lake. We love this hotel and will be back!

Great location and atmosphere. Very clean. Food was good. Bed comfy. Its odd to say but I ordered Coca Cola twice from the desk and I still haven't got it lol. Overall nice hotel though!

Great view on the Lake View rooms. The rooms looked sparse and it looked like the main bedroom just had a paint refresh. The bathroom looked like it was new but it didn’t have a bathroom fan for privacy and freshness. The LINE is the old Radisson with a refresh and you can tell that a lot of the refresh is the main lobby and the bathrooms inside the hotel rooms. The beds are also low profile in case that matters to anyone. Regarding parking, you have to pay based on their hourly valet rates or else find free parking somewhere else which isn’t feasible. I chose to pay the $56 overnight valet rate. Last but not least, the food at the Veracruz restaurant attached to it as well as the cocktails and fresh fruit juices were delicious.
- 4.5/5
Great location and so pretty inside The elevators took foreverrrr and the beds were so low. Hard to get out of those things.
- 5/5
This is my favorite place to stay! The restaurants are delicious, the staff is wonderful, and the pool is superb. I can’t wait to visit again!
- 4/5
No breakfast incl. We had it out nearby The fan did not work in loo.
- 3/5
A very different experience checking out than checking in. Had the worker asked, how was my stay, I would’ve told them unpleasant. Glad they got the guy out, but acknowledging the rooms around with credit might be a nice gesture. I’m sure the others didn’t enjoy it either. Good hotel, just unfortunate experience.

Clean room . Fast response. Will book again.

Great stay but take a makeup mirror. Zero lighting
- 5/5
We loved the hotel! Go give it a try and enjoy yourself!!!
- 3/5
Great location, amenities and pool. Parkingfees are steep at $86 per night — they just increased the rate to $56 plus the 8.25% parking tax adds about another $20 to the rate.
- 5/5
Truly one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. We got the suite and it was so spacious and beautiful. Great location for walking, biking, or kayaking!
- 5/5
Fun, hip hotel in a perfect location for exploring the best of Austin! We’ll be back.

Nothing at all. Staff are unapproachable for ALL reasons. Everything is the guest’s mistake or responsibility. Shower leaked with loud dripping sound in room 307. Door lock kept making clicking sound every 90 seconds through the night. Why do I have to pay premium price for Lakeview room when the lake is COMPLETELY obstructed by trees. This is not even a virtual Lakeview room. Lakeview rooms command premium prices but there is no view of the lake from from level 2 to level 7.
- 1/5
Honestly, not a great experience. Rooms were run down, furniture is cheap, everything feels dirty. Feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Not great.

The pictures online were very deceiving. The hotel was dirty and our hallways and room smelt very musty. The pool was black, not crystal clear blue, you couldn’t even see the bottom. Our room was on the fourth floor but the music at the pool was very loud until 10 pm. Not ideal with a child in our room. I didn’t see a single employee except when I needed to check in or valet my car. Not a great visit and way to spend my first time in Austin. I would not recommend.
- 3/5
The rooms are a little run down but the bed was comfy. The main lobby floor always seemed to be dirty and probably needs cleaning often due to dogs staying in the hotel. We brought our dogs because it says “dog friendly”and no fees, but they had us sign a paper that says you won’t leave your dogs unattended and if they bark then you will be charged $250. However after we left ours in the room to go to a concert that we had already bought tix for and worrying the whole time that they would bark, we later found out that there were dogs all around us in other rooms and it sounded like a kennel due to all the barking (which we didn’t mind) but the fact being that the staff made us feel like we couldn’t leave them alone when in fact other guests were doing so. Also the valet tries to pressure you into valeting you car for $50 per night and if you don’t use them they yell at you to move your car when you’re simply trying to unload your bags. There’s literally a parking garage a few yards away for $25 per day. Doubt we will stay again which is too bad because it’s a cool place otherwise.

They let the maids determine if you should be charged an extra $250 smoke fee but we don’t smoke or vape. At 11:15 we walked out of our room to leave while we saw the maid about to come in. Unfortunately my husband had to take a poo before we walked out and the bathroom door didn’t get shut but by 12:00 we got an email that we were getting charged an $250 smoke fee. We don’t smoke or vape and left the room clean and very normal. I called immediately talked to someone on the phone that said the maid said the odor was bad, So she had to skip cleaning that room. We should have turned around and went back and went back into our room as the smell would have been gone by then as it doesn’t last that long. I guess the maid wanted off early that day and charging us an extra $250 was ok in all the staffs eyes. Definitely be aware of this policy here. She could have cleaned a different room and went back. We travel all the time and have never experienced anything close to this.

- 3/5
Quirky, funky, but great location. The good: Room had a great view of the lake and bridge, and the pool was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. But the room itself felt a little 'off' - The not-so-good: The bathroom/shower area needs work. Toilet was an issue, the shower only had a half wall, so floor was always wet. Counters had a strange intentional 'rise' in the middle of both counter tops, so you could not really use the space. Lighting in bathroom was equivalent to 'candle light', so difficult to see for makeup, etc. There were repairs in the ceiling that were not completed and lots of paint missing or rubbed off in places. There was no 'dresser' or anywhere to put your things down. Tiny closet (painted black inside with no light) included with the fridge and coffee; placement seemed odd. No microwave. A nice small table in the room, but only one chair. The bed was only about 10 inches off the ground, so not great for seniors. Bedside lamps were extremely short, so difficult to use for in-bed reading. Pool bar had good drinks, but staff was not friendly at all. (Other guests remarked the same to us) The on-site taco restaurant was delicious, but bring your large wallet! Like most things in a tourist city the size of Austin, everything is way over priced. Enjoyed the city very much and the hotel location is great. But be prepared that it's definitely not like a typical 'chain' hotel in expectations of the room plan and amenities.

Very dissapinted with the room. We have a king bed and it was like 2 futons put together. Super hard bed. No room service !!

The location was great for exploring Austin. We loved the view of the river and walking along it. I highly recommend the Fat Rabbit for brunch which is on the other side of the building.

Carpets are somewhat stained throughout the building, and the paint is chipping/worn in many areas. Ceiling treatment in the lobby, restaurant, and bar area looks like an inexpensive way to gloss over a needed repair. Staff were all warm and welcoming. Bar had one of the best cocktails I've had. We didn't try the food there. Great location to go watch the bats emerge from the bridge. We travel often. Overall, the Line was 2-3 star. Won't be adding this one to our rotation list.

Great location and helpful stay. Good roof top bar over looking the river. Good food, coffee. Excellent stay.
- 3/5
Nice hotel. Way overpriced though. Rooms were wierd. Had a suite...uncomfortable couch...wide open wasted space. No bureau. Bed was 12" off the ground. Just not comfortable. Staff was excellent. Pool was great. The mexican take out resturant and bar were awesome. Just not my cup of tea for a room. A plain old king bed room wood have been great.
- 5/5
This is my third stay at The Line Hotel. I has a very cool and urban vibe! The location, the pool and the service are all great! The bar, P6, and the restaurant, Veracruz, on site are awesome. Best breakfast (or any time of day) tacos and smoothies are the best!
- 4/5
For the cost I did not feel they lived up to the expectations and they need to take their beds off the floor way too low.
- 3/5
Whole property could use renovation.
- 2/5
Very Messy rooms. Did not feel clean. Fire alarms went off plus flooding. The rooms are super dark with no light basically a fire hazard if you trip. Room looked very cheap considering this was not a cheap hotel.
- 2/5
Rooms were clean but felt cheap and thrown together.
- 5/5
Very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful!
- 1/5
The hotel smells like mold the staff responds like they are annoyed you to attend anyone. There is no coffee in the room the pillows are made from multiple pillows so there are hard pieces in them making it very uncomfortable to sleep. My bed had gum and hair attached to it makes me wonder if they even clean the sheets or just make the beds. It was pretty bad I’d say worse than a hostile

Central. Lovely views My room had mold in the bathroom. I asked for it to be remedied while I was out and they gave it a quick surface cleaning. You could see that this section of the door had had frequent mold issues. The shower dripped non-stop and the open design meant that it took two towels to soak up the water spilling out while showering. The quick wipe down didn’t keep the mold from returning the next day. I reminded staff on checkout that they should fix the dripping and the mold before another guest arrived but I noticed she didn’t type that in or write it down. My friend was first given a room that stank of pot and the stink got worse when the a/c was turned on.

This hotel looked nothing like I expected from the photos. The hallways and rooms smell moldy and its dark and gloomy. Theh need a remodel asap. Those carpets need to go. The staff and the gym was good though

The aesthetic of the property was beautiful! Although the rooms were a bit disappointing for how much expensive it is. Horrible lighting in the bathroom with no fan/vent. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. The staff was absolutely fantastic; friendly, professional, kind. The staff at the restaurants/bars made our experience. Uncomfortable bed, no fan/vent in bathroom, gym was small/ overcrowded.

Staff would not let me take a dolly to get my bags. Shower water leaked in the the bathroom anytime it was on.
- 1/5
Room 759 had stained floors dirty walls the hallways looked like a vacuum hadn’t been ran on them in weeks. Felt ripped off for 400 a night. Me or my 150 employees will never stay here again. Offer to comp me resort fees and a breakfast. This is a management issue definitely. When your manager lacks the vision or initiative your product lacks appeal. If I wanted dirty I would have stayed at the super 8
- 5/5
Great experience. Cool Texan vibe. Love the natural decor and fireplaces. Can’t get any closer to ladybird lake! Loved walking across birdie right to south congress area for dining and shopping. Bat watching is right there too on the bridge. Excellent location to walk everywhere.

Disappointing
- 4/5
The hotel is not the best for seniors . We found it way too dark in the public areas and rooms. The bed is way too low and the room was very noisy from the bar above the room

The location of the Line is ideal The room was not very practical and lacked sufficient storage space. There were not enough hooks for hanging towels, which made the stay less comfortable.

Front desk staff was fine. The other staff within the hotel is lacking. The poolside bar staff was pretty rude. The guy argued with me about what I ordered … even when he turned out to be wrong he was still rude. Coffee shop staff also give off the air that they would rather pour coffee on you than for you. We have stayed at this location a few times and probably will start staying somewhere else. It’s a great location and the pool is heated and peaceful but we’re tired of dealing with employees that make our stay unpleasant.

Room was nice and clean, enjoyed the fitness center just no music. Cafes were yummy
- 3/5
They never cleaned my room. I had to complain and they came at 5:15 bc they were only available to 6. Unfortunately this was the precise tone I was supposed to be dressing for a gala. This was a hassle I didn’t expect or appreciate in a hotel that costs 350 a night.

The Line was excellent. Staff was very welcoming and accommodated our every need. We were especially grateful to be able to check in early after not sleeping much due to the TSA issues at airport. I would definitely stay here every time I visit Austin again.
- 5/5
The room, the view, service, everything was amazing
- 1/5
I had a one-night stay at the hotel, checking in late to get some rest before an early morning. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. The noise from the HVAC system, plumbing, and streetcars made it impossible to sleep. It was a terrible experience, and I do not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Had a very nice bar The staff was very attentive. The food was very nice.
- 2/5
The dark entrance is off putting, the beds are horrible, the bathroom hardware was falling off in the sink and the shower, the was no iron or ironing board in the room had to call down for it, room lighting sucked bathroom was cool and why would you close the pool at 8pm, I don’t think I’ll stay here again. People were great.
- 3/5
This is not my favorite hotel in Austin. I was excited to try it out and we were there for a busy weekend (to be fair) but they seemed unprepared for it. Coffee line out the door every morning and there's not a regular breakfast option. The taco joint had great breakfast tacos though - that was a highlight for sure. They didn't clean my room one day and I even spoke with housekeeping and the front desk and they still didn't come. Just felt like the service was pretty mediocre and nothing was easy at the hotel (shouldn't take 5 minutes for a beer at the pool when you are standing at the bar and no one else is waiting for a drink). Pool is nice but it's practically on Congress, you can see traffic from the pool - sort of strange. I expect others might enjoy this place - it was not for me, I prefer a more relaxing and accommodating hotel.
- 5/5
This is a great place to explore Austin from, right on the river, nice pool area, good dining options and a huge gym. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Room was clean, any room service that was requested was promptly completed. Didn’t try the restaurants dinner options since everything was booked but p6 brunch was okay, a bit pricy for what it was. Bar and pool were great.

Great location beautiful pool, rooms were comfortable. The Staff at the Pool Bar was not friendly and seemed like they did not want to be there at all. Got food orders wrong and just not welcoming at all.
- 2.5/5
Location was great, but loud. Many cars rev their engines as they drive across the bridge late at night. Hotel was rundown. You can tell it was trendy at one point but is now past its prime. The beds were low, the air conditioning was loud and there was a musty smell in the room.
- 5/5
The facility, staff and restaurants were excellent. The facility is beautiful and the staff so helpful and efficient. Only some cautions for elderly customers: the beds and toilets are very low (but lovely) and there are no grab bars in the showers. This may not be so in handicap accessible rooms but we dont consider ourselves in the categort...just old and stiff
- 3/5
The check-in line was incredibly long, and the wait was exhausting. I don’t see the point of offering online check-in if we still have to go through such a tedious process upon arrival. Furthermore, the pool area was a mess—there were absolutely no seats available, and the water was visibly dirty. It was a very disappointing experience.

I love this pool- heated year round! Great location
- 5/5
Property was very clean and inviting looking. Pool area was very nice. Excellent food options. Great location. Was able to walk to all parts of the city. Only complaint was that there is a daily resort fee. As part of that, they advertise bikes and stand up paddle boards. I think they only have 2 bikes bc they were never available and the paddle boards weren’t available until 11:00. We walked a few minutes down the river and found a rental place open at 9:00 am, so we paid to rent them.
- 5/5

Very nice location downtown, near South Congress. Bathrooms are small, but manageable. Property very nice would recommend.

I was looking forward to this stay. I thought The Line would be cool and edgy. It is not. The linens were clean, but that is the best I can say. Everything else is cheap-looking. The price is high for everything. The food wait staff are high or perhaps just ill-mannered. The bell-person was very nice, but he was also the front desk clerk. I felt like I wasted a lot of money. I do feel that this hotel and many of its employees are doing their part to keep Austin weird. :(

I loved the pool and the great tacos and food places right outside that were literally right on the property and the bar on the rooftop to see bats was amazing! The only thing we had issues with was our key cards, for some reason it had automatically turned off and we went to the front desk. They told us it was fine and good to go, but when we had gotten back to our room, the key cards were still not working so then we decided to go get food and when we came back, the card started working.

Was fine, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed to see that our room did not have a view at all, but of a cement wall, TV did not work, only one side of our bed had lights the other bed did not, was so dark in the bathroom that my wife could hardly get ready, and was overall just not impressed. I got this room for our anniversary to have a view and I got exactly the opposite was not worth the money.

Yes, the room was filthy. There were bodily fluids in plain sight when arriving. Absolutely disgusting. They cleaned it when I mentioned it, however the furniture wasn't usable as it was wet and there was a fan placed in our room that was annoying.

The pool was always crowded except for late at night and it was not heated as advertised (and ultimately why we chose this hotel for my 50th) so we didn’t enjoy what we hoped for. Our room service breakfast was delivered half complete. We called for the missing items. Service said they’d be right back. They never showed up. We also called for towels because the shower leaked onto the tile no matter what and they never arrived. I did stop by the front desk and spoke to the manager who was very nice and addressed our concerns. The stress of the big wedding and concert crowd was apparent on the staff’s faces. Bless them, they did their best. However, when we checked in the front desk staff told us to happy hour at the 6th floor restaurant and bar. We put our luggage away and went there. We were greeted with two annoyed young hostess who were appalled that we dared to show up without a reservation. This was around 5:30om and the deck area had one person on it. Wasn’t the best start to our stay. I probably won’t stay here again because there are comparable options, but I see the appeal and vibe is cool.

We were in town for a wedding and The LINE was the perfect respite from the events! The room was large with a gorgeous view, and the pool and access to the waterfront was perfect for early risers and active people. I wish we had had more time to take advantage of the bikes and hang by the pool! I have also heard their more formal restaurant is excellent but did not get the chance to try. Staff was absolutely lovely and allowed an early check-in :) Added bonus - the coffee in the lobby and the attached taco joint were both excellent! There was a long wait for tacos (Veracruz) one of the days we were there - would have been helpful if the staff gave us a heads up that we could place online orders to pickup :)

The Line never disappoints. Such a great location with nicely appointed rooms and the staff is terrific. We had dinner at Arlo which was so delicious and breakfast at Veracruz which was also amazing. We look forward to doing a staycation here again in the near future.

Great location and nice lobby...and that is about all we can nicely say. One of the hallways had a smell of sewar that lastest for a few days. The bathroom sink seemed like it had been there a while. The rooms get moist when the AC is on, and the carpet has that feeling of being around for a long time. The rooms seemed tired, and of a different generation than the lobby.

All in all a great stay… I was a little freak out and did not sleep as soundly the third night of three…. That night I received a notification from American Express that my account was charged 50% more than contracted… Anyway this Notifacation did not sit well with me. The calls I had to make in the morning, the thought of needing to open a dispute case with AxP in the morning etc. The counter staff in the morning assured me it was just a hold for some reason. This should be clarified before proceeding with charge. Maybe even signed for. Anyway I did not sleep well that night. If that was your intention, The Line succeeded.

I guess I just had a little bit higher expectations for a hotel in that price range. It kind of gave the vibes of a hotel that used to be really old and they tried to put some nice touches on it. Like the bathroom for instance. First the knob for the shower kept sliding down so it would get really hot. The ceiling in there looked like something happened to it and someone did a really poor plaster job putting it back up. The room itself wasnt bad. Very basic, but had cute touches. The closet had 2 very tiny cabinets to put clothes in if you were going to do that that were kind of run down looking. A dresser style cabinet under the TV would look nice. I dont know, just very underwhelmed for the price. the downstairs is really nice though.

The service was excellent & the valet was outstanding. The beds were comfortable but the hotel definitely geared for the much younger generation. All the lighting was so dim everywhere it was like walking around wearing sunglasses. The bathroom was also very dim & very little space to put toiletries or hang towels.

Great place!
- 2/5
The hotel has a very dirty and dark vibe. Not my scene. Wish we would have read other reviews before booking.
- 3.5/5
Location terrific. Staff friendly. Beautiful outdoor pool. Fantastic top-rated Kristin Kish restaurant. Good lobby coffee bar. The bathroom was well-lit and shower pressure terrific. For the price, the facility was rundown. Could use a facelift. My carpet had stains on it. For us older people, a hand-held shower would be a huge advantage, as we needn’t wash our hair everyday yet the temps in Austin caused sweat & grime; a good lower-body shower could be very useful.

Hotel was rated as 4 star but it felt like a 3 star at best. Did not seem clean, there was very little furniture in the room and bed was on the floor. Cheap tv. The room’s ac was set at 68 degrees but never felt cool.
- 3/5
Elevators kept breaking; very dark in terms of lack of light in rooms and hallways. Older hotel that has minimum updates
- 5/5
Huge hotel but they managed to make you feel right at home. The only downside is that the pool is very cold, not heated as advertised. Pets stay free.
- 5/5

Booked a Lakeside Suite, paid Expedia $362.57, plus "Taxes & Fees" of $62.85, total $425.42. At check-out charged an additional $43.80 in Taxes & Fees, plus $58.46 to valet park. The room we were assigned #757 was probably the worst room in the "Lakeside Suite" category. If we looked out our window, past the 30 feet of white reflective roofing with HVAC ducts & vents, for the P6 restaurant located right under our room, we could see a small slice of the lake. The room layout is weird, coffee maker didn't work, low-profile bed about 18 inches off the floor, like sleeping on the ground. Expensive room and very unimpressive. AND LAZ Parking damaged my vehicle, had multiple conversations with LAZ & The Line. Nothing ever happened. Do yourself a favor, Skip The Line!
- 3/5
Past its prime but ok
- 5/5
AC was not working well
- 4/5
Room was stunning. Loved the hotel decor. Everything was super clean and I loved the stocked fridge with drinks and snacks. The only downsides were valet parking only option and the front desk staff that checked us in was not friendly. Otherwise great hotel
- 3/5
Impressed. He said he wouldn’t be back 😪
- 5/5
I like this modern hotel and love the Cowshed toiletries, which are available for purchase from the hotel. The Vera Cruz restaurant in the lobby also has excellent take out food. I stay here every year for a conference so that I can buy Cowshed products.
- 4/5
Loved the shower!!! Outstanding. Wish housekeeping would’ve been more consistent.
- 5/5
Excellent service | Well-stocked mini-bar | Pleasant staff | Great dining options
- 4/5
Orange mold in shower. Charger broken on one side of the bed. Ceiling in bathroom the repair work not finished off.
- 5/5
A++++++ Will stay here again, perfect getaway.
- 3/5
I’ll start by saying I design hotels and commercial spaces for a living. The space had wear & tear beyond acceptable. Cracked ceilings, toilet is set off center beyond normal, the faucet lifted out of the countertop, the drain wasn’t attached. The decorative balls on the chairs were missing and also detached. Service was stingy and didn’t take our used coffee cups even after our requested cleaning. It is a glorified motel. However, convenient location.
- 5/5
Would definitely stay here agaib
- 2/5
A little dingy for the cost.. elevators had stains on the rugs that were in them.
- 5/5
Fantastic location and staff
- 3/5
SERVICE: When you see a lady struggling to push a luggage cart while maintaining her dog's leash, she needs help. And she didn't receive it from staff. Not helpful staff. But people notice when the staff is joking around and not taking their job seriously. Room was clean, provided plenty of bathroom supplies and toiletries. Room also had snack items, but no label for how much they were. Could be mistaken for complimentary. Requesting a room cleaning took forever! We left to eat breakfast, walked our dog, went to South Congress and returned mid afternoon and was still not ready to clean. Remote for TV did not work properly.
- 5/5
Stay on the lakeside. Streetside rooms have a lot of late night traffic noise from the never ending Waymo cars.
- 5/5
Really enjoy staying here! Il
- 2/5
Got checked out early, made a hassle avout us getting back into our room
- 2/5
Rooms are in shambles. Carpet were beyond disgusting definitely need to be in constant footwear. Restaurant in the hotel was good and had a really good time there. But the rooms need a complete refresh. Everything was dirty. You leave feeling dirty.

I was on the fifth floor with windows and curtains closed.
- 5/5
I have stayed here multiple times, and it's really cohesive- everyone is positive from valet parking to taco shop to the front desk.
- 5/5
Stayed here for a girls trip. Great food, especially the taco shop! Fun pool vibes, friendly bartenders, great drinks!
- 5/5
The hotel was centrally located and the amenities were just what we were looking for.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed my stay. Will absolutely recommend. Thank you!
- 5/5
Service
- 3/5
Water pressure and temperature in the shower was amazing! Best showers ever. But the bed was uncomfortable, walls paper thin, no storage for clothing outside of half a closet, tiny mini fridge. Now, the rooms were lacking but the pool was decent, restaurants, coffee shop, location and overall atmosphere was amazing. This hotel is great for young people with young backs that don’t need to sleep, if you’re past 30 find a hotel with better rooms.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 3/5
I did not like the beds being so low to the floor. That is absolutely ignorant. When I registered, it said my room was handicap accessible. No handicapped person can get up and down off beds that low. And the beds were hard as rocks. Between the bed and the traffic noise, I got very little sleep and was in a lot of pain when I got up. The combination did not make for a very pleasant day of sight seeing. Also the maid entered my daughter's room to clean it after being asked not to. We were not happy about that when when we got back to the room. I feel like I got a 3 start stay for 5 star prices.
- 2/5
The elevators were broken and out of inspection. The ice machine did not work and the pool was to small for the amount of guests staying at the hotel.
- 1/5
Too expensive for the amenities
- 2/5
The property was beautiful, the staff was very nice. The nightly valet parking is what gets me. If you are going to advertise parking for $54 a night, it should be $54 a night then whatever I decide to tip the valet ontop of that. NOT $54 a night then ontop of that, $32 in "taxes and amentity fees" making valet parking there actually $86 a night once you receive your check out receipt. Yes when booking the hotel it states "extra fees may apply" but you would assume hotel taxes and stuff for the room. Not excess fees specifically for parking ONTOP of the $54. Thats BS.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel peaceful stay would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
Great staff very helpful!!
- 5/5
Me and 15 of my friends stayed here for my 50th birthday. We loved hanging out at the pool and the hotel was great! One of the pool bartenders was a tad grumpy but the other guy made up for it. Overall we would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
Beautiful and clean hotel!
- 5/5
Just had an excellent stay at The Line Austin in a suite overlooking the Congress Bridge. The location can’t be beat and loved Vera Cruz tacos and coffee within the hotel. There is a relaxing pool area, though be warned there are mosquitos, so bring repellent. There was some mild cosmetic wear noticed in the room (cracked sink, chips in the bathroom drywall) but nothing that detracted from our stay. Would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Main dining room food was great. The terrace bar was odd. You had to wait to be seated for cocktails. Much more fun when you can wander around at a bar.
- 5/5
The hotel is very good, great atmosphere, new and well located. The pool was overcrowded. There was no room for us. I don’t know if those people were hotel guest or guests of the guests.
- 5/5
I stay here often for a "staycation" and every time - it's an absolutely excellent experience. The customer service is top notch, the food is great and the rooms are clean and cute. Love this hotel!
- 5/5
Excellent amenities and wonderful service. The staff were extremely helpful. Rooms were cleaned to perfection, no signs of foul play. 10/10
- 3/5
It’s an older hotel. Staff was great. But do not stay next to the elevator.
- 5/5
This place is super nice! Parking is pricy, but I’ll definitely be staying here again!
- 1/5
When checking in, the staff memeber was rude. When checking out and going to the coffee shop, the staff was very rude.
- 5/5
The lobby is great has a great coffee shop and a breakfast spot that I enjoyed.
- 5/5
Good place to stau
- 4/5
Overall our stay was great! We especially enjoyed the pool area with walk up bar/restaurant access. It was also nice to be able to use complimentary bikes and easy access to the Lady Bird Lake trails. We got upgraded to a suite — which was nice of the staff — but the living room was awkwardly big with no furniture hardly. Like, we could have done gymnastics in there! I would have preferred a smaller room I think. Lots of details were just odd— like the artwork, colors of decor/bedding — so it felt eclectic.
- 5/5
courteous staff P6 service and menu can be improved
- 5/5
Loved everything about the hotel but the noise of the cars at night is loud all night.
- 4/5
Coffee bar & house restaurant were amazing
- 5/5
Pool and tacos were the best!
- 5/5
It rained the entire trip unexpectedly and I loved the little touches like they had an umbrella in my room for me!
- 3/5
Beds low to the floor, not a good explanation of the amenities at check in. Taxes and fees and amenities were $70.44 per night in addition to the room rate, plus an additional $54.00 per night to park valet.
- 4/5
- 5/5
I always appreciate staying at the Line. The rooms are spacious and the restaurants are terrific. Highly recommend getting a cocktail or two there.
- 5/5
El hotel es muy bonito y el área de la alberca es muy agradable, es una zona muy céntrica y a todos los lugares que visité en la ciudad estaban super cerca.
- 5/5
Loved the Line . Came to see a show in Austin and llt was a joy hanging out by the pool during the day
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Very cool and stylish hotel with several great restaurants in it. Perfect location. Only minor issues were that the beds look super aesthetic on low platforms but it’s a pain to get in and out of such a low bed, almost on the floor. Fridge is only for the minibar stuff.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Best hotel for value. Lots of amenities on site and many more in walking distance!
- 4/5
Location and property were fine. My only issue was the surprise of an addition $28 “amenity fee”, we didn’t have a need to get food or drink billed to my room so the offer to get a $28 credit having booked via Expedia for food or drink was not helpful, this went unused and did not offset that unexpected fee in any way.
- 1/5
Booked due to price then charged a compulsory $28pn amenity fee for stuff I didn't want or use
- 4/5
Nice property not a 5 star but a nice spot
- 2/5
Air condition was out in our room and had to eventually be moved the next day to a new room just for it to not work in that room either. All they did was comp our parking for one night. After spending about $700 for two nights with no AC we got $54 back for parking on one night. Not even both. Staff was also pretty unpleasant.
- 3/5
all three times we approached the front desk there were multiple staff members - yet no one acknowledged us. a few minutes in someone would say be right with you. if the staff has other more improbably duties than attending to guests perhaps they need to be in an office. check in, check out, we were ignored and felt like we were bothering or disrupting them
- 4/5
Facility is pretty outdated. Clean but outdated.
- 2/5
Very over priced. Rooms were nothing to write home about. I'd say holidayinn has rooms that are nicer
- 5/5
Great service from the front desk to the pool bartenders. There is some wear and tear in the rooms from time, but it’s not impactful to the quality of the room. What I loved was it always felt cool- almost cold- when you walked into the room. Great location to restaurants and bars. Pool was fantastic- looks smaller, but truly plenty of room!
- 4/5
Centrally located, you can get to all of the attractions quickly.

Only stayed 1 night and wish I had more. As an Expedia VIP member, I receieved complimentary room upgrade and late check out. The room was spacious and comfortable. Tge pool area was great and you could even order food and drinks right from the pool area. Would highly recommend a stay here.
- 5/5
Great lobby, hotel restaurants! Loved the pool and location next to Lady Bird Lake!
- 5/5
The Line ATX is the place to be over a long weekend! It has so many amenities onsite (three restaurants, great cafe, pool and pool bar!) and great location with amazing view. The front desk even gave us a complimentary lake view upgrade. The hospitality was unmatched!
- 5/5
The bar
- 1/5
Everything was gross- the sink was clogged with water the entire stay, there are stains everywhere on the carpet in the room, the shower leaked so bad it was draining into the carpet in the room which makes the room smell like mold. Tried to address these concerns and no one ever came up, wasn’t offered to change rooms. Trashes were never changed during the stay. The roof top bar was unavailable for guest use the entire time I was there. Just gross, stay away and go somewhere else.
- 5/5
We had a great stay and received an upgrade being Expedia Gold members. The views oh Austin were awesome. Hotel room was clean and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is close to downtown and a nice walking trail that goes along the water.
- 5/5
We liked our stay but received none of the benefits we should have received as promised by Expedia
- 5/5

Property is beautiful. Restaurants are fabulous. Rooms need an upgrade. Beds are low and soft.
- 3/5
No coffee service in all of the rooms, futon bed on the floor.

We were woken up by a barking dog in the room next door all weekend.
- 5/5
bring your own bathroom lighting the lighting is no good
- 4/5
They just have some extra charges that aren’t told to you at the time of booking. Otherwise beautiful hotel and great rooms. Also parking is way too expensive at $52 plus taxes and fees.
- 2/5
Loved the Location!!! Room faced the street & It was noisy. Stayed 3 nights, not once the room was done. Did ask for towels & coffee… got those 👍 Quality of bed was poor, needed to put a pillow underneath me in order to feel I wouldn’t roll off. No iron, just a steamer. Prefer an iron. Toilet tank water faulty, needed to adjust it all the tim ( preserve water & noise) Not a choice to connect to your Netflix, Hulu or other accounts. Great mini bar, no price available…. Didn’t want to be charge $30 for a drink . Check in staff friendly & Valet friendly fast & efficient.
- 1/5
The coffee shop opened late and two indifferent women staffed it. I had to ask Dakota several times to put the milk out on the counter. And she acted like I was crazy and that it was there all of the time. They didn’t offer me the Expedia $28 credit. The straw that broke the camel’s back though was that my room wasn’t serviced despite the cleaning team being on my floor. I was also gone from 8:00 - 12:45 and then again from 1:15-10:00 and they couldn’t manage to find a window to service my room. They also had to audacity to ask if I’d left the do not disturb sign on because of course m? It had to be my fault. Last but not least the beds are low and the angular wooden frame jutted out and I hurt my ankle on its protrusion several times. In fact, it still hurts. The LINE was the worst part of my stay in Austin and actively made it disappointing.
- 5/5
Great location, nice hotel and amenities
- 5/5
Loved this place and area. The lake was fabulous as well. I truly loved Austin!
- 5/5
Great location. Great amenities and service !
- 4/5
Great location, awesome amenities
- 4/5
Pool disappointment. Obvious people saving lounges. No where to sit
- 5/5
Great hotel in a great location. Great tacos in the lobby. Beds were not very comfy unfortunately but otherwise great stay.
- 4/5
Great location. Right on Lady Bird Lake and Congress. Hotel is a bit dated which may add to its charm. Beds are very low to the ground which may be an issue for folks with leg issues. The lobby and pool bars were excellent with Chet being a high point. Vera Cruz tacos being attached to the hotel bumps the entire experience up 2.5 gigawatts.
- 5/5

- 5/5

Make sure you don’t get a lower floor room on the front side of the hotel unless you have really good earplugs because this hotel, while renovated , must not have update the older windows. We were on the third floor and it was impossible to fall asleep until after 2 due to street car noise. Apparently you have to pay more for a room in a quiet area per the front desk Common space for our event was very nice. Rooms nothing special for the price. Super low uncomfortable furniture.
- 5/5
The hotel is super quirky and has very unique design details. I loved the location to everything downtown, and it is situated right by the entrance to the trail for Lady Bird Lake.
- 5/5
The only thing I didn't like was valet parking is 54 bucks a day and I felt it should be included with the stay. However, nor is there continental breakfast. Which is also a negative while traveling.
