Decent hotel with recent updates. Free breakfast was good with lots of options. Pool area was dated and there was a strong fragrance everywhere. Staff was very helpful!

We would definitely stay again. Excellent free breakfast. Friendly service at front desk and valet. Reasonably priced for a prime location. The only problem we experienced was wet sheets in the extra bedding package, but it was addressed in a satisfactory manner.

The downtown location was excellent for us as tourists. Fortunately we did not have a car because parking is very expensive at downtown hotels. The property is well laid out and comfortable.

They put a hold for the full amount on 2 credit cards and didn't release it for over a week.

The mandatory $65 per night valet parking was not a welcome surprise.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I don't normally leave or write reviews but everything from check in to check out was like a well oiled machine. The staff was over accommodating, the room was spotless, the pool was great for my kids, the breakfast was amazing the price was on point and the location was perfect.

Kitchen looks good even I did not use it. Next time I will carry some things to cook. Sofa bed is ok, not too bad. Staff are helpful. I asked some pillows, then sent to room not take too long time.

1. I reserved a suite on a high floor and was put in a studio on the second floor because of my late arrival and all the suites were booked. I booked the suite 3 weeks in advance. 2. The room was in in poor condition, room 203. The couch was torn and very worn to the point that you can't sit on it without leaning towards the center. The coffee supplies were depleted prior to our arrival and not restocked. The wall paper was peeling off the bathroom wall. 3. The cleanliness of the room was only fair. 4. This hotel has a rodent problem, all night for both nights of our stay, we could hear chewing in the kitchen area. When I told them I was told simply "thank you for letting us know..." 5. Valet is VERY slow. At check out it took over 45 minutes for them to bring my vehicle. In their defense they were busy with checkouts. 6.The restaurant closes at 9:45pm, not 10pm and if you order food at 9pm you will be notified that the kitchen closes and you might not get everything that you order. Overall this was the worst $600.00 I've ever spent in a Marriott branded hotel. This was more like a fancy Motel 6 with a bad attitude.

Parking and check in was very easy and friendly staff. The room was nice. The bed was not the most comfortable. I'm a late sleeper and house keeping knocking on the door at 7:50am was not very pleasant, they also just tried to walk in again at 9:30 luckily I had the door latched. The morning was kind of ruined for me.

Everything from the location to the staff to the accommodation was great! We were able to walk or Uber all around town. I thought that the breakfast was excellent…everything was delicious and so fresh. The staff was very professional and pleasant. We did not use the pool or laundry facilities so have no comment there.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful.The view from my room on the 7th floor was nice.They had everything you could think of for breakfast.The bar was awesome with cold beer and mixed drinks and flat screen tv’s to watch your favorite sports.You don’t have to go anywhere.You can also eat dinner at the bar.

The only issue was with the shower water. We did not have hot water for 2 of the 4 nights that we stayed. I was there for the Austin Marathon, so it may have been a high census issue.

The hotel was very clean and modern. The location was great; there were many restaurants and bars within walking distance. The front of the hotel made it easy to access ride share services. Breakfast was always a hit with a buffet-style service with many options to choose from. The gym had enough equipment to cover your basic workouts. The staff were professional and welcoming! The only issue was with the shower water. We did not have hot water for 2 of the 4 nights that we stayed. I was there for the Austin Marathon, so it may have been a high census issue.

Property is clean the room was nice it has complete set of kitchen needs for people who can cook, big fridge and dishwasher. We don’t use it coz we’re always outside but it will be nice if you have family and stay longer. We’re here Austin Marathon and exploring popular BBQ places. None

There was heavy construction noise all day and even during at night on the weekends. This was not mentioned anywhere. Impossible to get sleep or work done with jackhammers at all hours!!!! Unacceptable

I did not appreciate being charged $20 for "early check-in" when the check-in time is 4pm. & they want you out of the room by 11am. Love how everyone has to nickel and dime you everywhere.

We were very happy with our stay at the Residence Inn. Our check in was easy, the staff were exceptional, very accommodating and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean. The Champion's Restaurant was very nice, very pleasant staff, upbeat and friendly. Food was good, just wish the Happy Hour menu changed daily. My only disappointment is that the pool was not heated, and it was pretty cold. Other than that, we loved the location, walking distance to Congress Street bridge to see the Bats each night, awesome.

Parking is ridiculously expensive. You can park 1 block away for a fraction of their valet parking price, 70 bucks plus tax. Water tastes earthy, kind of a weird flavor. Both my boyfriend and I were impressed with the hotel and really enjoyed the stay. The only issues we had were that our sheets had some gross looking stains on them and did not seem like they had been changed between guests. We were unaware that the maids wouldn't come during our stay (they come every other day apparently) and so we never got those changed or got new towels. We thought that if we took the door hanger off of our door, they would come. It would have been nice if the sheets had been fresh to begin with; but as I said, overall we enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the property. We both agreed that we would stay at a Residence Inn again! The beds were comfy, we had a full kitchen and a large bathroom. The included breakfast was also good!

We were able to walk to most places. Valet parking is $75 per day outrageous. No plugs next to the bed for cpap machines.

Only thing i didn't like is the odors in my room 809, it seemed like a dirty old locker room. And the main entrance has way too much febreeze or some other strong scent. I also found the temperature too cold in the main entrance lobby. Other than that it was a very nice hotel.

Overall a good stay. Fridge didnt work right in first room, so they moved us quickly and conveniently.

I loved the rooms! Having a full fridge and kitchenette was a money saver. The cleaning staff were amazing and so kind! The front desk staff felt a little cold and were not as friendly. No smiles from them. The valet was not great as we were ignored and had to get a manager at 3am to get our car. My husband had to be at the airport early for a flight. It was very annoying since it wasn’t busy at 3am. The guest laundry was very convenient as we had been travelling around the state. The room I was staying in was too hot for me and I could not set the air conditioning any lower. I live in the Arctic and I need good air conditioning to keep me cool. Especially when visiting Texas. Be warned, if you need to leave early like I did due to an emergency they will not want to refund you if you pay in advance. I suggest paying at the end of your stay. That situation just added to the stress I was already going through. Personally, I would not stay there again but would try to find a similar hotel with a kitchenette and guest laundry.

The room was delightful—clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast buffet every morning was incredible. Also loved the friendliness of every staff member we encountered. They were always helpful and seemed so genuine. My only complaint is the fact that we were required to use valet service for our rental car. This meant that every time we needed to go out, we had to wait for the valet to retrieve the car. But having said that, the valet staff were terrific, but I would have preferred to park on my own. The parking was pricey, it would have been nice to have some sort of a discount for a stay that lasted more than 2 nights.

We were on the 7th floor and the street noise still really penetrated. I imagine rooms lower down would have been even worse. Scruffy neighborhood.

Great location, ice machine in suite didn’t work and an elevator was taped off but still in use.

Exceptional location but way overpriced for what it offers. Parking is abusive ($69/night plus taxes). Breakfast is good. Room needs some maintenance and cleaning. Door was extremely hard to open as the hinge is falling

The pool was too cold to comfortably swim in, that was the only downside while we were there.

The property was conveniently located. Would have liked healthier options for food at the market and the morning breakfast. Thank you!

Very nice views, very close to 6th street and room was very spacious.

Our suite was extremely well equipped with full working kitchen and overall was very comfortable. We were given a €25 credit each day to use in the bar/restaurant which we took full advantage of eating there both nights. The food and beer was delicious. Highly recommend the Champions Bar. The buffet breakfast was very good. Lots to choose from and all freshly made. We were also lucky that we were able to park outside the hotel using the street parking. Would certainly stay here again when visiting Austin.

Nice lobby facilities despite ongoing reservation. Decent breakfast. Our corner room with 2 windows and a nice view had an awkward furniture arrangement: furniture a bit crowded around desk; sofa bed (which we didn't use) couldn't be opened due to placement of drawers chest. Kitchenette was largely unusable due to refrigerator blocking opening of 4 drawers with utensils, etc. overhead light blocked full opening of 1 cupboard. Inadequate towel racks in bathroom. Either this room was in transition for renovation, or the interior designer needs to be replaced.

It was a very pleasant stay. Nice fitness center, and dining option. Close to a lot of attractions.

Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The shower was difficult to switch from the tub spout to shower. The hot water took a extremely long time to get hot.

Great place to stay but parking is not friendly unless you pay a lot of $$

Firstly... it ended up being the perfect location due to the huge availability of rentable scooters out front! We were able to get quite close to the festival in about 15 minutes using the scooters and in 7 days only got an uber when we needed to get to and from the airport. Staying here means you are exactly between 2 amazing streets as well. 2 Blocks away from 6th which is where the endless stream of bars and music exists in Austin, 2 blocks from 2nd (Also known as Willie Nelson bvd) where youll find the ACL store, many shops and the Moody theatre and only a 10 minute scooter ride from South congress where there are incredible boot and hat shops, bars, restaurants and the famouns S Congress bat bridge where you can see bats take off every night for 6 months of the year. We also enjoyed the huge continental breakfast offered by the hotel, as well as the $25/day discount in the restaurant which kept our expenses for the week quite low. Every meal we had st the restaurant was wonderful and I would like to give a special shout out to our frequent server Tony who took incredible care of us daily!

Good service, delicious free breakfast

The property was fine clean nice somewhat expensive. The most annoying thing was parking was nearly $60 a night ! I was shook when i received the bill for that one ! They do charge you for everything.Read everything... the fine print !
