Hotel Saint Ceclia is a beautiful hotel in the heart of the South Congress Ave shopping and restaurant district in Austin. The property is adorned with old oaks and English ivy that makes the grounds, restaurant, bar, and pool area feel very secluded. Our pool side cabana (No.11) was neat as a pin, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The entire property has a 50s/60s cool vibe that isn’t contrived or pretentious. More like a throwback to Austin before Austin was discovered by the rest of the world. We relaxed, had some boozy cocktails, delicious meals, and a great time. Our new favorite Austin hotel.

Everything about my stay at the gorgeous St. Cecilia was just perfect. The staff are next level and made sure that my every need was taken care of. I can’t wait for my next stay. Thank you for a most memorable birthday weekend!!

Traveling with our two dogs. This was the most accommodating property we've ever visited with our pets. Great experience.

That said, the air conditioner in our room wasn’t cooling properly, and the temperature never dropped below 74 degrees, which made it uncomfortable at times. Also, the bartender had a bit of frantic energy and the espresso martini unfortunately missed the mark. Overall, a lovely property with great food, but a few service and comfort issues kept it from being a perfect stay.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Loved everything. Only complaint is that the pool was too cold. It didn’t stop me from swimming but it would have been much more enjoyable if warm. Other than that, the hotel was amazing and we will definitely be back!

Everything. The pool, the lounge, the grounds. Our studio room was so cool and cozy. The record player and vintage couch were a nice touch. Gorgeous spacious bathroom and a comfy bed. The staff was incredible, we felt comfortable and taken care of. Couldn’t have been better. It didn’t affect us, but climbing stone stairs with luggage could be a struggle for some! I’m sure accommodations can be made for those unable to carry bags up the steps.

Austin is known for being quirky and this hotel is. Location is superb; right off Congress. Perla is up one block. We had drinks served poolside one afternoon. Drinks were delicious and being able to sit under a covered arbor in the shade was wonderful, given Austin’s warm temperatures this time of year. Lovely, large room with seating area and bar/sink. Would definitely stay here again!

Relaxed vibe, very boutique feel with gorgeous decor everywhere..24 hr access to pool. Record player. Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond. Grounds felt really private and well maintained. Free parking. We stayed in 2 different rooms, both were lovely but preferred the pool bungalow for privacy and space. I can see why celebs choose to stay here. We wished we could stay longer but it was fully booked so they helped us book their sister hotel next door (Magdelena) which was also cute decor wise, great brekky & staff etc but had a lot of guests and was more rowdy and less personal than St Cecilia’s. Big shout out to Tara who looked after us, extended our stay and made sure a pregnancy pillow and heavy bags were sorted out ☺️ Almost everything was perfect but sadly the food/cafe needs work. Everything we had was overly salted, even the butter for croissants had like a teaspoon of salt on top. Sadly the morning coffee was either incorrect or awful everytime. There was 0 consistency. A flat white is not filtered coffee with a dash of milk. They always seemed to forget sugar. A trained barista and a chef who is not so heavy handed on the salt would step things up a level.

I had a piece of gum stuck to the bottom of the remote, they came and cleaned it up, but I felt that there should have been more done since I paid so much-- they said they would help out but didnt. odd. I choose night hotels bc I want them to be clean

Perfect urban getaway tucked just off of South Congress. If you appreciate old homes with character, and want to feel like you’ve stepped back in time while having modern amenities, this is the perfect place for you!

Breakfast was delicious Breakfast was very expensive- seemed disproportionate. I think a little more direction on how to get to check in would have been appropriate when we called from the parking lot. Considering the distance it would have been nice if someone had asked if we needed help with our bags.

Great location for visiting South Congress and downtown is walkable. Nice chilled surroundings. Very expensive for what it is and no breakfast included - apart from location it lacked any extras and would not qualify as a high-end hotel in Europe. Nice pool but music too loud so not as relaxing as you’d expect.

Be sure to get a poolside bungalow and a margarita. Excellent staff. Chill vibe.

We booked a king studio but ended up staying in a poolside bungalow. It was very spacious & clean. Loved having two private outdoor seating areas. The location was perfect for exploring S. Congress & an easy walk to 6th St. The grounds were beautiful. Staff were all nice. We didn't use the pool, but it was heated and clean (a few leaves but that's expected). Super frustrating trying to get ready, especially when staying for 4 nights. The bathroom is way too dark to apply makeup. Attempted to get ready at the breakfast table which again was super dark. Tried sliding it closer to the window. The table literally weighs over a hundred pounds with these iron legs jutting out on the left side of each corner. Watch your knees! Resorted to getting ready on the patio every morning. Thankfully it was private. The refrigerator is crammed full of their own products for you to purchase. There is no coffee maker or hot water kettle. The mattress needs to be replaced as you can feel the springs. The record player does not work even after having the missing needle replaced.

We loved the location, the staff, the room and the vibe of the hotel. It was walking distance to downtown but being on south congress, had such a far away feel. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. We are moving around a lot in Texas and this is by far our favourite hotel and we’ll be back the next time we’re in Austin! We would have loved some tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay here. We stayed in Suite 1 and it was absolutely amazing! The property is great and the location of perfect and walkable to many cool restaurants and shops on Congress. Would absolutely stay here again!

Everything! The staff were amazing. The Hotel had a great 'energy'. Very relaxed. Very quirky and cool. And loved the candle and matches that they left in my room every evening. Lovely touches!

The facilities are nice. No doubt. Being called 17 times in one day to pay a $50 minibar tab. While being clear I was waiting for a new debit card bc mine was frozen bc of suspected fraud, I was crystal clear it would be paid. My experience started w $186 paid room at sister property that was cancelled without anyone alerting me. Walked next door and paid $400 or $500 for room. No apologies just a cocksure arrogance to wade through. It wasn’t the waste of money, it was bumptious lackey calls for no reason that has Four Seasons on speed dial. Pound sand Fancy.
