    Phenomenal across the board. If I’m being picky, universally the food (room service, dining), is a tad salty, but that’s being very picky. The staff was truly kind, exceptional, and militant in paying attention to detail. Would recommend without hesitation.

    Amazing hotel offering Ritz type service without the arrogance. Great location for downtown conference/6th Street fun. Gold Level is the way to go! And did I mention the exquisite pool and pool service. Worth the cost.

    There's a few things you have to be careful about not getting charged for, like some of the provided items in the hotel room (mostly food items) and you have to request a fridge but they brought us one really quickly. The front desk staff, specifically a lady named Sarah was very lovely. I would come back here in the future purely just based off of how kind and helpful she was to my wife and I the whole trip. The location is great, and the parking situation is pretty good. Only other thing I'd note, the elevator moves pretty fast and with there being almost 40 floors, it gave my wife a little bit of motion sickness. Overall, 9.5/10 :)

    Check-in was great. Helpful customer service. Parking is $55 for self parking. I was told if I wanted to valet it would be $75. The location is right by I-35. Be mindful of this because there is the freeway noise, the construction noise, construction. The room “looked” clean. But, we all had red bumps that itch all over. The TV in the room did not work. It said network issue and to contact front desk. This is not something I expected from Fairmont. I will not be returning.

    Check in was flawless. This hotel has a fragrance that is so memorable and I wish I could immerse myself in it. It’s not heavy, it’s clean and iconic. Diana greeted us at check in and she was simply amazing. I had booked a king size room with at random on accident that was ADA compliant. She offered a walk in shower option that we enjoyed much more, the room overlooked the pool. We had stayed here years ago when they first opened for our anniversary and they have remained consistent in their attention to detail. We had a concert to attend and that was our reason for going to Austin. However, staying at the Fairmount is a treat, it’s an event within itself. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was perfection. This is my absolute favorite hotel and I travel often. I can’t wait to return and I know the people and the service will be just the way I fondly remember it. I miss it already! Thank you!!

    My husband and I spent two nights there in April 2026. It was lovely, clean and the staff was friendly. We ate in one of the hotel restaurants the first night and the food was very good. We enjoyed the live music while having dinner. There was a good coffee shop in the hotel for which I was so grateful. We have no complaints and would stay there again.

    Whoever turned down our bed both nights (room 1625) deserves a raise. She did an amazing job it was such a treat. I tried to tip her the second night, but she left the cash on the bed. That employee deserves to be acknowledged. I looked for her cart in the hall, but she was already done with our floor. Had a great time at the pool. Loved the coffee shop. Grateful it opens early.

    Useless employes. Unable to help. Such a shame for an expensive hotel. I have lost laundry. No more nice buffet for breakfast. House keeping was always adding water on the bedside table until having no space to put my phone on the table. I was not drinking the 4 bottlea every night but they keep adding every day. Such non sense.

    What a gorgeous hotel and property! It is an absolute destination whether on business travel, travel with family, or visiting Austin on holiday. We were first greeted by the extremely kind front desk reception Alexis (March 2026) who was so helpful and offered us an early check in and a beautiful view higher floor room! Her hospitality set the tone for our lovely stay. The hotel room was so spacious, large bathroom and rain shower, and comfortable beds! We also spent a whole day enjoying the blissful spa amenities (amazing massage and whirlpool room) and ended the day at the beautiful outdoor pool. Overall, it was such a wonderful stay! We highly recommend The Fairmont Downtown Austin to anyone for a memorable stay!

    There is construction next to the hotel that starts at 6:30 am which when you arrive from Los Angeles means is 3:30 am. Had to sleep both morning on the cold marble floor in the bathroom and the hotel made no gestures after many complaints. The worst experience. Not good to stay at all and definitely for that money !

    The hotel is beautiful, quiet, and has an amazing location for walking to nearby restaurants and attractions. The staff makes this hotel next level. From the front desk staff, especially Anna, upon our arrival and throughout our stay, the staff was always asking us how they could assist. The doormen were always attentive and alert, and would even open doors to our Lyfts and readily assist with packages. The Bell Staff under the direction of Angelina was incredible. They gave us a most personalized and delightful surprise. This attention to us as guests made us feel very special. The cleaning staff was phenomenal. The attention to detail and organizing the room both in the morning and for the turn down service was unmatched in any hotel where we have stayed. Whomsoever that cleaning staff was in room 1649 for our stay, including for the turn down service should really be commended by the management. We smiled every evening to see how thoughtful and meticulous the cleaning, organizing and restocking of items was in our room. Thank you again Fairmont for an unbelievable stay. We will definitely return to this hotel as we loved Austin and will definitely be back.

    The hotel charged me a lot for someone else’s multiple bar drinks. I alerted the hotel as soon as I noticed the charge. They removed it, then later reinstated it. They sent a receipt without my signature or handwriting. I responded again. They did finally remove the charge but in doing so revealed the full name and room number of the female guest who was actually at the bar. Massive safety violation!! Will never stay at this hotel again.

    We had an amazing time at the Fairmont Austin. They are always on point on every aspect of the hotel. The service, rooms, restaurants, amenities, bar, pool, and every other element that u can imagine. The always go above and beyond by ensuring that our stay is a memorable one.     Hotel was super clean, beds were cozy, and service was impeccable. Check in and check out were effortless. Pool was fun and not crowded. My only gripe is the high cost for parking ($68/night valet or $55/night self park), which, unfortunately, seems to be a typical issue for downtown Austin. Nearby construction was not an issue from our 22nd floor. I did not find value in the urban experience fee ($35/night), which is way the hotel industry is using resort fees to juice up costs while losing customers. The Fairmont is worth it but I'm afraid they too will start seeing occupancy issues as costs of living increase.

    Modern and clean The customer service and valet during the day. The concierge in the evening was outstanding. She was very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who takes the calls for the hotel was top notch service as well. However the front desk during the day was very rude and not helpful one bit. The valet has 4 people working on one car while everyone else is waiting around. The one valet guy came whipping around real fast in my vehicle as well which didn’t make me feel so comfortable leaving my car with the staff.

    The Fairmont Hotel is a jewel in Austin. I had thought about other hotels but when I saw the reviews I felt that this was a good option they gave me a top floor suite "upgrade" with a view of the city. Every whim that I had the staff and the Conciges we're able to meet my needs. The room was very romantic everything was very clean I have no complaints at all I would stay there again.

    The only down part is that I came for a conference and they asked the coach to slow down the music which is odd since the coaches do the events there every time. I think they shouldn’t ask to slow down the music since we all living the experience that we paid to be there.

    The hotel and our room was nicely appointed and clean. The fitness center and pool were nice. However, there were more negatives than positives. We asked for a quiet room but were across the hall from a noisy staff room where the staff were loud and constantly going in and out of. The hotel is adjacent to the convention center which was torn down and now under major construction. Very noisy and dusty. The breakfast was downright terrible. The microwaved hash browns and the French omelette were disgusting. Extremely disappointing. I expected a lot more from a fairmont.

    I stayed at the Fairmont Austin from November 1st to November 2nd and had an amazing experience. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of downtown Austin. The location was perfect — everything I needed was within easy distance. What really stood out was the excellent customer service. I requested a late checkout and was initially charged $150, but when I spoke with Angel at the front desk, he went above and beyond to assist me. He checked with the manager and got the charge removed, which I truly appreciated. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and this experience definitely makes me want to book again in the future. Highly recommend the Fairmont Austin!

    I’ve stayed in this property for years and always had a good experience. This trip, was terrible. There is construction going on next door. Every day Friday-Sunday, I was woken up by jackhammering. In addition the hot water in my room didn’t work the first day.

    This was my second stay at the Fairmont Austin. The front counter staff is friendly and helpful and the rooftop pool area magificent. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurants and bar areas very nice. It was Formula1 race week and the vibe in the hotel was lively and hopping with lots of Formula 1 teams and fans staying ar the hotel. My only real complaint is that the hotel doesn't provide free wi-fi. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    Overall, they stay was great, but my suggestion is to provide a heads up that major construction is taking place in and around the area and that the noise level is not tolerable, especially on a Sunday when the construction at the site next door is in full swing. Perhaps providing earplugs in the rooms would be helpful for future guests. It really is something that should be considered.

    The stay was very pleasant and I enjoyed most of the amenities. The only complaint I have was the discomfort of the king bed. I travel often and I haven’t had such a rough time trying to sleep due to the discomfort of the mattress. Overall, the hotel was excellent but I wish I could say the same for the bed & my sleep.

    Got the gold package just to have the restaurants and gold room out of service. We were told there was a gas leak around the area. When they did open the gold room it was limited to snacks. We went up for breakfast in the morning, a guest service employees was rude my wife when she asked for cream cheese for her bagel. Mind you the cream cheese spread was due for a refill as the tray was empty. I loved this hotel. We went four years in a row, this was our fifth. We might have to find another hotel four our anniversary.

    the lobby was almost unbearable with a nasty stench of vomit the entire 3 days of our stay. we asked staff and all they said was it was ‘unfortunate’. the surrounding area has a lot of homeless people and felt somewhat unsafe. would prefer to stay at another property. we always stay at the proper or the line hotel but decided to give this a try and it was a disappointment.

They were really busy and had closed off areas probably b/c they were short staffed which I don't get being a busy with one conference in town at least. I think they should have been better prepared.     Booked for August 23, 2025 but when we got there to check in, we were told that there was no hot water and no food would be available either. We were helped at the counter and we were offered a refund and help, booking another hotel close by. Was disappointed that we weren’t able to stay because we really wanted to experience the Fairmont. 😢😢😢

    Loved our stay at Fairmont Austin! The place is super stylish, comfy, and right in the heart of the action. You’re steps away from Rainey Street and the River Walk, which makes exploring the city a breeze. The rooftop pool is a vibe, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.     One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, from check in the staff were lovely and helpful, the lobby smelt amazing and had a really nice feel, rooms were lovely and bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever stayed in, aircon was great, lovely pool area, nice live music in the bar, only gave area around the hotel a 4 as a lot of construction work currently which is outside of hotel control so just ask for a room away from it like we did and it wouldn’t bother you

    Property was nice with excellent service. Only minor ding, is wish they had blackout curtains. Curtains they had were pretty good. And, no knock on the property, but there’s still a lot of homeless people all over the area, asking for money.

    This Fairmont is certainly up to the standard of the other Fairmont properties we have stayed in. We had the great fortune to utilize the Gold features of the hotel which gives the traveler a luxury experience. The service was spot-on and the breakfast was fabulous. The fitness center is large and very well equipped, although early in the day it can be a bit crowded. The pool is very nice with excellent service and a nice array of food & beverages. There is really only 1 issue at the pool - the music constantly carries a heavy disco beat which can be distracting if you are looking for a peaceful day at the pool. One word of caution to travelers, there is extensive construction all around this property due to the rebuilding of the convention center. It has no bearing at all on this beautiful hotel, but can be a bit distracting in respect to Uber pickups and noise.

    Our room had a great view but at night the traffic sounded so loud. We stayed on a high floor, and perhaps the buildings surrounding the property amplified the sound from the street. The food from the restaurant was amazing!

    Very frustrating visit - we love Fairmont and stay here at least once a summer. We visited last week July 17-19 and booked a cabana for the 17th. Pool staff was limited and the two who were available were rude and non attentive. I bought 2 out of 3 of my drinks at the bar because the waotress was nowhere to be found only to learn I was FORCED to pay a 20% gratuity of $110 for her regardless of the fact that I tipped at the bar every time. I was also charged parking that day after being told it was free due to the cabana. There is so much construction going on by the hotel that it’s super loud daily. We will be staying somewhere else next summer.

    Pros: Except for the pool area, the hotel was clean and staff were nice and professional. Lobby was very nice with horse statues at the entrance and a large indoor oak tree at the lobby bar. Live music in the evening was great. Cons: Biggest negative is how the hotel operates its pool area. I know a lot of hotels offer limited access to their pools on ResortPass, however this hotel takes it to an extreme. We visited on a Sunday. Every single chair was occupied. And it was not possible to swim because there were so many people standing in the pool drinking. None of the people we talked to at the pool were overnight guests. The pool area was honestly dirty. I just checked on Resort Pass to see how many day passes I could purchase for next Saturday July 26, 2025 to see if maybe I just visited on a busy holiday weekend. It indicated that the hotel still had 36 remaining day passes available to purchase for $75 each and even more day passes available for children. I have honestly loved many other Fairmont hotels. But I would not return to this location.

    Pool was not clean but we did not use it. I thought it was nice we had to attend a baby shower, so we had to check in late. I do think the person answering the phone the next day needs customer service training. She did not listen or try to go and really inquire when we called on Sunday needing to extend our stay a little because it was thunderstorming we need to make our way back from brunch and have time to prepare to check out. But the supervisor we spoke to once the issue was escalated was very apologetic and gave us complementary extended time.

    Very nice room, staff, and overall stay. The north-facing rooms right now look out over the huge construction pit that is the convention center reno, we had a south-facing room that was a nicer view (although river view is entirely blocked by other new construction at this point). On-site parking (garage under the building) was convenient for going in and out a lot during the day, although it was pricy. The only things I didn't love that were pretty minor: the road noise from I-35 would have annoyed my if we didn't have the A/C running all night creating enough white noise to drown it out, the pool was packed on Saturday with day-pass people who weren't staying at the hotel which made it harder to find a chair, and I wish they had drinking water filling stations. It was good overall though, I'd come back.
