Wouldn’t change a thing! Hotel, the room, the staff, the restaurants, the pool, the bed and the list goes on. One of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

Wonderful weekend stay with kids! Pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and quiet the rooms are. We stayed in a room on the same floor as the pool. Could not hear much from that area. Attentive and friendly staff at the pool.

Everything was excellent. The staff at the downstairs restaurant were a bit interesting personalities. But everyone else was extremely classy and respectful.

I had brain surgery & needed to decompress , pre drinks at their fab Peacock bar & did my victory lap at the Stevie Nicks concert w/ my crew. 10/10. Highly recommend booking a stay here, very worth it .

Great location. Efficient valet service even though it was Easter weekend when we arrived so extremely busy. Rooms clean, well equipped, lovely touch of Dyson hairdryer, Aesop toiletries and clothes steamer. Beds extremely comfortable. We didn’t use any of the restaurants as they were a little pricey to use for our whole stay as family of four, but plenty of options a short walk from the hotel.

Finally a five star hotel with a five star service. Design is amazing, attention to details. Staff is genuinely nice and extremely helpful. Can’t wait until you open a Lisbon location. Thank you to the property staff and Managment.

The person tasked with cleaning our room kept making errors. One night, s/he left all the dirty bed sheets and towels in our room, after the room was cleaned. Another time, there were no slippers to be found. Every day, there was something missing.

The location was wonderful for our short 2-day business trip. We were able to walk around the downtown area, walk down by the river and across to the park. There were plenty of restaurants, night life, and shopping. We felt safe in the area around the hotel. The room size was a bit cramped. This was offset by a nice view and lovely amenities within the room (e.g., automatic blinds, wonderful shower with strong water pressure, nicely scented soaps, and Apple TV enable TV). There was plenty of storage, plus a comfortable bed and pillows.

Great food options and cool room. The pool was a bit small and always full, it looked like a motel pool. We payed for late check out which is a bit pricey and they interrupted us twice. Fortunately they refunded half of the fee when we told management.

The hotel's restaurants were outstanding, offering exceptional dining experiences. The room featured modern, tasteful decor that created a comfortable and stylish atmosphere. The spacious fitness area was well-equipped with a wide variety of machines, and the spa was a delightful bonus that added to the overall relaxation. While the hotel had many great features, cleanliness was noticeably lacking. The floors, particularly in the bathroom and along the edges of the room, felt sticky, and the bed sheets were uncomfortably rough. The fitness center was especially unclean, with a visible layer of dirt on the floor. Before using the exercise mats, I wiped them down with the provided disinfecting towelettes, which came away black—clearly indicating they hadn’t been properly cleaned. Although the front desk staff were friendly, they offered minimal guidance regarding the hotel’s facilities and directions, which made navigating the amenities a bit challenging.

Having stayed at Proper Santa Monica I definitely wanted to book this hotel. It was just as good as the Proper hotel in Santa Monica. Wonderful reception, nice drinking and dining options, fantastic food and drink, and wonderful ambience. The gym is among the best hotel gyms I have ever been to. And I'm picky about gyms! Nothing. This is a great hotel

The Austin proper is super beautiful. I booked this stay as I was intrigued by the Pilates and yoga offered at the property and called early to reserve some classes but was told to do so at the property. When I got there, I was told they had no class offerings for that time which was a big let down as it was the main reason I booked this hotel. The breakfast was amazing but the room service dinner was overpriced and underwhelming. Otherwise, the overall aesthetic and interior design are top tier. In room products are luxurious and attention to detail was on point.

Modern hotel in great downtown location. Lovey choice of bars and restaurants onsite. My wife used the Verbena Spa and exclaimed it was one of the bet treatments she had ever had. Lovely touch receiving a bottle of prosecco delivered to the room on arrival. The Quill Room was a lovely bar - good for some lite bites and drinks. Roof top pool and swim up bar was a nice sun trap - staff were very attentive and made sure we were well looked after. The ground floor bar and restaurant areas were very very busy at nights - uncomfortably so as a hotel resident making it less inviting space to spend any time in.

Fantastic stay from start to finish, the restaurants are wonderful. Probably the best bars in Austin. Great gym and spa, with stunning interior design throughout the whole property. One of my favourite hotels by far. Oscar on the front desk was a star and the bell staff especially Micah just couldn’t do enough for us. 100 out of 10.

Had a great stay at this 5-star hotel! My wife also had a massage and face treatment, and also spent time in the sauna.

Hot water didn't work. Building engineers didn't show up until an hour later. They moved me to another room at that point it was 11pm.

It was a nice stay. Hotel bars get extremely busy in the evenings but was not a problem. Our bartender Nick was great all week.

Property is stylish and has great amenities, and the staff are great. However the 4.30am wake up with the Austin City trash collectors that lasts 1hr is awful. Property is safe, but neighborhood has a lot of homeless issues.

The Austin proper is a thoughtfully curated space. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and the shared spaces of the hotel are beautiful. The restaurants and bars of the hotel provide exceptional experiences and excellent quality food. While anyone can plan to have an enjoyable and relaxing visit to the Austin proper, the locals flock to the restaurants of the hotel in the evening, and it does get quite busy. This is a great place to mingle and meet young professionals, so do not plan to enjoy a quiet cocktail at the bar.

If I wanted to stay in a basic room with subpar service there are a lot cheaper options. The blinds do not even cover the windows, far from blackout as advertised. Michael who checked us in said I can free dessert, well that’s far from the price differential for a balcony suite on a Saturday night during acl. I asked to speak with the manager he said he’s the only one here, later to tell me he’s actually the front desk assistant. I got no sleep due to the windows not being completely covered. The entire reason I booked this room is for the balcony.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. The service is 3.5 stars at best. It cannot be held in the same league as other 5 star hotels like Four Seasons or Grand Hyatt. It seems all the attention was put into the design of the hotel but they forgot to train the staff in the art of service. Optical illusion, all surface with no depth.
