    There's no breakfast, or pool. Stand yoyr ground with the available rooms. Theyll put you uostairs in a heart beat, even if you need the accessible room.

    Watch ouy when booking with Sonesta. They ask for credit card for 50.00 essential hold. They charged our credit card $362.54 woukd definitely not recommend

    The staff was friendly and hotel was relatively clean. However, the hotel reeked of cigarette smoke in the halls and in our room. In our room, the tv did not work, the sink did not drain, and there was no hot water to take a shower. The room was also missing one of the night stands.

    An absolute dump of a hotel. Paid an exorbitant amount because of the Masters. It was so dirty. The owners(I am assuming) were working the front,Nice people. Didn’t make my bed, didn’t replace towels. Looks like they rent by the hour. Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever stayed at.

    We were given a room with the lock falling off the door. The entire hotel is in terrible condition. Will never stay there again nor recommend anyone to. The staff was nice, but the facility was disgusting.

    Several things missing upon check-in: towels, cups and 3 lamps not working. When we looked closer, the sink fawcet filter wasn’t there, causing a waterfall of water to burst out. The fire suppression sprinkler was covered in tape, causing it to be impossible to work after a recent remodel (I’d hate to see it pre-remodel!) and the bed frame made some weird noises every time we moved around. Also the complimentary breakfast buffet was sparse at best, empty at worst. Last but not least, when we returned from dinner, they sold all the parking spots for $20 to partying patrons at the bar down the street. When we asked for some compensation after citing all of the issues, we were told no, that it’s Masters week, and we could basically pound sand.

    We had to ask for extra towels and washcloths. The TV was very blurry but we were not in the room long enough for that to be much of a factor. The exterior of the building is in need of cosmetic updates. Also, the common areas are also in need of updating. Based on what the owners have done with the rooms I expect this is in their plans. You have to drive through the Heritage Inn parking lot to get to the Sonesta Essential. This is not ideal and was concerning at first. After a certain hour, I wouldn't have wanted to walk alone through one to get to the other, but that is not the Sonesta's fault, they cannot control the Heritage Inn. The Sonesta is near to several restaurants and if you are willing to drive 5-10 minutes there is pretty much anything you could want nearby. Overall we had a very good experience at the Sonesta Essential in Augusta. For sure there is work to do but the rooms are very good and I am sure the rest of the property will be improved as well.

    There was no toilet peper, no soap, no towels, no ice bucket, the sheets were stained with blood and urine stains, the bed cover had burn marks, the chair was boken, and there were other guests fighting in the hall. It was unsanitary and terrifying. Coul not pay me to stay there. Absolutely awful.

    I came in town to visit my farther in the hospital. I normally stay in a Hilton property but i was trying to save money and chose the hotel it was a mistake on my part. The sheets where dirty bathroom was dirty remote for the tv didn't work had a smell in the room like mildew. The outside is very deceiving looks decent on the outside. Doors for outside entry ways where propped open because card access didn't work. Would not recommend.

    But beyond that, the room itself was utterly disgusting. Both the bedding and the mattress itself in my non-smoking room had numerous cigarette burnt holes. The walls were filthy, the drywall cracked and broken with mold growing in places. There was no microwave, cups for water, or even a trash can in the room at all. As if they want you to just throw your trash on the floor? The carpet was stained and dirty. The electrical outlet in the BATHROOM was broken open with exposed wiring visible. The hallway outside the room stank of cigarette and marijuana smoke. The scan box for hotel key cards to open the side doors did not work. Literally the only positive thing I can say for this place is that I did not find any bed bugs. Other than that, it was utterly terrible. I highly recommend not staying here.

    The first room I was sent to the door did not work and I could not get in where you put in the key was sent. I was moved to the room next-door, which had trash in the bathroom trashcan from the previous person and broken in half soap on the counter. They advertise free breakfast on Expedia and in the email confirmation I got. They had a breakfast area as well but they told me they don’t serve breakfast anymore. The odor of marijuana in the hallways is horrible.

    Horrible the friend of staff was never there on top of that. There was a constant of lack of care for any of his guests there Mr. B, the owner and his wife until very careless it says it has free broke. It has no purpose at all I highly would not recommend this place for my own dog.

Once the clerk arrived, they had to call the property owner at home to confirm my reservation. I specifically requested a non-smoking king room, but I was initially assigned a smoking room with two queen beds. The room was dirty, and the bedding was old, worn, and torn. The following day, I was moved to a king room, but unfortunately that room also had cleanliness issues—there were visible spider webs hanging from the ceiling, and the bedding was again dirty, with cigarette burns similar to the first room. I was also told the owners are waiting until the Masters to purchase new bedding and make updates. While I understand some properties are independently owned, I have stayed at other Sonesta locations and this experience was far below what I expect from the Sonesta brand. Independently owned or not, Sonesta should not allow a motel/hotel to operate under its brand without thorough vetting and ongoing quality standards.

    As for the room it could have been stocked with extra tissue,cups . They didn't have microwaves in the room. Ice machine was inconvenient! The front desk clerk was awesome and a sweetheart. Overall I think the floors in & out the room should be done improved. All together I would definitely go back!!

    The room had roaches and a rat came in from somewhere. The staff didnt accommodate you on anything you had to ask over and over for things to be done. The hotel did not repeat do not have hot water to take a bath. I had to go and buy towels to dry off on. The room had no microwave. The door would not stay closeed and locked the manager didn't care enough to move us. We try to move hotels but didn't have the mmoney to do so. The hotel needs to be sprayed for bugs and rats need to be caught before anyone else stays there.

It was so bad, I left and went to another hotel. When I asked for a refund (I had booked a 2 night stay) I was refused even after contacting the manager. This is no way even a 2 star hotel!

We were then given another room by a cleaning individual. Inside that room, the bed was grey, dirty, had foot marks, fingerprints and had burnt cigarette holes in it when we specifically wanted a smoking-free room. The entire establishment was hot/musty and it smelled like stale cigarettes. We didn’t even feel comfortable trying the breakfast and decided to get another place, which in the end was extra money spent. The room that we were lastly placed in had a couch with stains and random fluid on it which made me and my boyfriend uncomfortable. The topper to the bed also wasn’t white, but a dingy yellow and it was stained. We didn’t feel comfortable sleeping here. Customer service wasn’t great and they didn’t even apologize for the original room, but instead gave us the room and we went about our way. The elevator had a slow door that slowly opened and everything but the main breakfast area and the bed itself (minus the dingy yellow topper) was clean and smelled decent. Definitely will never go here again and this is me being critical in a way I wouldn’t have imagined. The manager was nice enough to be kind, but customer service isn’t really practiced here.

Definitely will never go here again and this is me being critical in a way I wouldn’t have imagined. The manager was nice enough to be kind, but customer service isn’t really practiced here.

    First red flag: the front desk never answered the phone. I tried calling for hours while en route just to confirm my reservation. Second: the entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke; lobby, hallways, elevator, and rooms. Third: the side/back entrance door was propped wide open, allowing anyone access to the building. The elevator was extremely old, shaky, and scary. My first room (308 or 309) had blood stains on the sheet and mattress, plus small white suspicious bugs under the mattress. I took photos and immediately requested a room change. The second room was no better: mold and mildew on the shower curtain, cigarette burn holes in the bedding, a black soot-like substance on the mattress, no toilet paper, brown water from the sink, a baby roach came out of the sink, and the door would not properly lock due to a misaligned deadbolt. I was exhausted and bought blankets from Walmart to sleep on top of the bed. When I tried to move the mini fridge in front of the door for security, roaches scattered from behind it. I immediately checked out. The front desk woman was excellent and handled the situation professionally, canceling my stay without fees. I understand budget hotels, but this place felt unsafe and unsanitary. It should not be listed on booking sites

    The rooms were not as bekannt as they could be. I read reviews saying this place had gone under recent renovations & they need to continue updating the rooms & the elevator. I was placed into a dirty room, then given a 2nd room that had stained sheets & a hole in the comforter to sleep in. I was then placed in a 3rd room. The tubs were rusted,towels stained, & the rooms were not as cleaned as I would have liked. The staff was reason & understanding. They did the best they could with what they had to provide me a welcoming stay. The staff were great but the hotel needs to be renovated. & yes there definitely was a mildewy weird smell throughout the hotel.

    I'm very skeptical when it comes to this hotel because there's too many cons versus prose. When it comes to safetiness, cleanliness and comfortability service was well below average, there were blood staines on the comforter and damages that were poorly repaired.The new carpet that was installed in the room was horribly installed.You can see the seam in the middle of the floor. No, no.I'm not going to lie, nothing matches in the room . The couch cushions don't even sit evenly . The refrigerator was not plugged in and wide open when we got in here. The t v mount was poorly assembled and didn't have an extension cord so that the t v could move accordingly. Honestly I want my money back... horrible place. One star on average

    The staff that work at this place are lunatics. They were trying to scam me out of money and tried to tell me I had to leave the hotel because I had 2 people in the room with me.     To get to Sonesta you have to drive through the parking lot of a very sketchy looking motel. From the outside Sonesta didn't look much better. Broken mini blinds in windows. Broken air conditioners hanging out of windows. Hall windows on 2nd and 3rd floors open (air conditioners in hallways not working). I had a room with a king bed. Comforter was lumpy as heck. Broken handle on one dresser. Smoke detector ripped off wall. No toilet paper or any amenities in bathroom. No cup to take my nightly medication. The only plus was the TV and air conditioner in my room worked and the bed was very comfy. But I wouldn't stay here again.

    Room did not have a microwave. They didnt have any tissue in the bathroom. They don't have a snack or drink machine. The room was hot and I wasn't able to lock my doors.     I was very disappointed with my stay. I want to be clear. The customer service was excellent, but the condition of the hotel was lacking. I had issues with my door to my room, side door was broke and there was not an iron in my room so I requested one and it took an hour to get there, the bed was not comfortable and the water in the shower was not hot. I am not a picky person but I didn’t have a good stay.

    I stayed here last minute for a basketball tournament, but the photos online were very misleading. Although the gentleman at the front desk was friendly, the room itself was disappointing. There were water stains around the shower, exposed wiring in the main area, and a strong smell of cigarette smoke. The hot water was not working properly, which made the stay even less comfortable. To top it off, I woke up to roaches climbing the walls and along the baseboards. I only stayed one night, and I would not recommend this hotel. The pictures are truly a false advertisement.

    The pics are not an honest view. The ac did not work the manager cut the elevator off late at night. There was no breakfast although posted. The room is great,you can tell the room is newly renovated, clean,big tv,comfortable bed. My room did not have a microwave. I don't understand you spend alot of money in renovations and don't buy microwaves. Its hidden in the back so its quiet.     The only positive about this property is that the room APPEARED clean. There is NO breakfast, that is a lie. There is a VERY basic coffee station. The older gentleman on night shift was unkind and unhelpful. I was told I couldn’t have batteries for my remote so no tv for me while I was there.     It’s your basic hotel room. It was clean. There was an issue with the hot water in the shower. I had to let the water run for about 10 mins plus run the sink and then the hot water kicked in. Other than that, the location was back off in the cut so it was very private and quiet.

The entire building smelled like cigarette smoke and there were bags of garbage in the hallways. When we looked out the window, we could see garbage laying around in the back of the building.     There is no sign on the main road to direct you to the Sonesta hotel as it sits toward the back of the road behind another seedy looking hotel called Heritage Inn. However, the exterior of the building is nice looking. They provide a continental breakfast but the hot foods were lukewarm/room temperature at best. The location is close to local malls and shopping areas, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. $507 for a 3 day/2 night stay and I didn’t expect luxury but decent service.

Noise of something running on and off every 15 seconds, claimed it was the venting system, faucet in tub running all the time, carpets so dirty that white socks are brown on bottom, heat/ac unit filthy and when heat was attempted it smelled like something burning. Elevator made you wonder if it would make it up and down. Charged an extra $100 for an extra night. Broken tile on bathroom floor with sharp edges. Very, very disappointed and will never recommend Sonesta Essential to anyone, any where.

    From the moment we walked in, the vibe was off. The lobby chairs were worn and busted, with the leather on the seat parts visibly torn. The hallways were dark and dreary, not well-lit at all, which made everything feel unsettling. When we got to our rooms, we found gnats flying around in all of them. One room even had roaches. Yes—roaches. Our TV kept randomly switching to Spanish with no explanation. The refrigerator was disgusting, the bathtub had hair in it, and to top it off, there was no microwave in the room. We arrived to find one-third of a roll of toilet paper—and had to walk down to the front desk to ask for more because no one would answer the phone. The doors were janky and took forever to open with the key, which was super frustrating. Overall, I was extremely disappointed. I’ve never known Sonesta to be like this, and sadly, I won’t be returning. This experience was just unacceptable—especially during a time when we really needed peace and comfort.

    The room smelled horribly on top the towels being filthy . The blankets were thin and poorly made. I do not recommend this hotel by any means this place is absolutely unacceptable.

    Garbage piled at both ends of buildings smelled. The outside was filthy and littered. The exit doors were propped open all night. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The front desk was rarely attended. Will not be returning.

    I had to switch rooms 3 times and then I finally decided to leave the hotel. I was advised to contact who I booked with who would reach out to them to issue my refund, I have had no such luck yet and I booked this a week ago.

    No breakfast, no gym, no ice maker, no hot water, mold in the fridge, cigarette burns in the bedding, sex stains in the mattress that showed through the sheets, door handle to room broken, tv broken(someone did come to fix that!), clean bathroom and new furniture.

    Sat in the lobby for 30 minutes rang the bell and walked up and down the hall way then she gave me a card that didn't work so had to go wait another 30 minutes in the lobby for her to come out from a room she was cleaning. Left after that.

    The person at the front desk was working cleaning rooms running back and forth and she had to do everything then the night lady had her dog in the front desk and it was a pit bull and everyone don?t like dogs !!! It?s a place for them !!!
