the whitley is a wonderful hotel. I schedule through hotels.com and my Marriott points were still honored. working quick elevators polite staff. all that's missing is an affordable shuttle bus to and from the airport. this is a great place to stay

This was our second stay at the Whitley and it’s always our hotel of choice in Atlanta. The beds are among the most comfortable of any hotel we have stayed at! They have an amazing pool that the kids love and the hotel restaurant is amazing!! Highly recommend!!

I believe the woman who checked us in was LJ. She was extremely gracious and welcoming. The aesthetics throughout the hotel were beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. Every staff member we encountered — including valet — was friendly, professional, and accommodating. The pool and jacuzzi were a highlight for our rainy weekend getaway and made the stay feel relaxing despite the weather.

Easy access around the city on MARTA. The station was a little less than a mile from the hotel. Lenox Mall right across the street. Good location! Could hear the neighbors knockin’ boots at 230 am two nights in a row. I don’t think it was the walls, the person was literally screaming. Atlanta can be very exciting.

I recently stayed at The Whitley in Atlanta and overall had a pleasant experience, but there are a few areas that could benefit from improvement. In the room, I would have preferred a more traditional duvet setup rather than the blanket-style cover provided, as it would have added to the overall comfort and luxury feel of the stay. Additionally, the exterior grounds could use some refreshing. The flower beds appeared a bit dull, and the pavers in the driveway also looked worn, which slightly detracts from the otherwise upscale impression of the property. With a few updates in these areas, the experience could be elevated even further.

After a stressful search for a quality hotel that is close in proximity of where I was working, I found this gem.Everything that you see in the images and even the many positive reviews are indeed factual. From the moment I arrived the Valet was very nice and helpful. I was greeted with a friendly smile and as my bags/luggage was being removed from my vehicle and placed on a luggage cart. When I went to assist, I was told "no sir, we'll take care of all of this for you. Just let me know your room number after check in!" I proceed to the front desk and was greeted yet with another friendly smile. Roughly 2-3 minutes later, I have my room key and I am headed to my room. Once I enter my room I immediately notice the fully stocked bar on the counter with a nice (but pricey) variety of beverages. Then underneath that counter is a minifridge stocked with even more! My view was awesome and the room was very clean. The fitness center and pool was also huge with my decision to pick this hotel and neither disappointed. Although I didn't take advantage of their breakfast, I did order som lemon pepper wings and fries. They were delivered to my room and tasted great and hot. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The professionalism and friendliness was nonstop. 10/10!!!!

The overall ambiance of the hotel exudes luxury and comfort, with attentive staff who genuinely care about their guests' experiences. However, I did encounter a minor issue with the valet service. While the service itself was efficient and courteous, I found it frustrating that the phone line was busy early in the morning when I needed to inquire about my vehicle. It would be helpful if the hotel included the valet service opening hours on the card provided, allowing guests to plan accordingly. In summary, my stay at the Whitley was fantastic, with a few minor adjustments needed for the valet service communication. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy a luxurious experience in Buckhead!

I had two rooms that were not clean and had stained floors. There was also hair everywhere. The staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful. I was also charged an extra fee for some reason (something that wasn’t mentioned at check out). For the price paid, this hotel wasn’t worth it. It definitely wasn’t a “luxury” experience.

My toilet stopped flushing, so I informed the staff, but it wasn’t resolved. Consequently, I had to use the shower to urinate. The front-line staff wasn’t friendly, and the receptionist was rude (had an attitude) during check-in. The restaurant wasn’t the best I’ve experienced, but considering the cost, I would have expected a more cheerful and friendly staff. However, the managers were really nice and provided superb customer service! I’m not sure why I didn’t receive better service; I’ve stayed at several hotels domestically and in foreign countries and received better customer service. I imagine since they judged my appearance and skin tone but not sure.

Then, I got to my room. The paint was chipped on the walls, the furniture needed buffing and cleaning. And the mattress was so uncomfortable. I could feel the springs and felt the effects of it in my back for a week. I was also placed next to a super loud family and across from a staircase - which their children used often. I visited the spa - which was loud (alarms going off, loud guests). I was given a pair of sandals two sizes too small. My massage was not great. I’m not sure how this passed for a luxury spa experience at a 5 star hotel - I didn’t feel the masseuse had proper knowledge of muscle groups and it felt she was going through the motions. I was also super distracted by her nails on my skin, as she had almond acrylics / gel that extended .5-1” past her fingertips. Isn’t that unhygienic? Then I returned to my room to eat my feelings and try to salvage my gift. And even the food was lacking. I am just baffled at how this hotel has 5 stars. I NEVER leave reviews. But my email went unanswered. I don’t want others being grossly overcharged for a mediocre experience, especially in this economy.

First the valet guys were subpar. They brought our luggage in to the hotel and left it and us sitting there. When we finally got up to our room, the room was far down the hall, even though I had specifically asked for it to be close to the elevator. Parking was $50 a night, which just seamed excessive for guests. We also had to pay $13/day for wifi, which also seemed excessive. Our room was small and our beds felt smaller than a queen size. The bathroom was also really small, which was inconvenient because we also had our 1 year old with us. The loveseat in the room also had a stain on it, we ignored it but it did seem uncanny for a high end hotel. I probably could’ve done more research before choosing a room, however I was mislead by the room being advertised as a “Deluxe 2 Queen” room. Overall we were just expecting a lot more, but the view was really cool. The service was also really personable.

I used to stay there when it was the Buckhead Ritz 6 times a year. It’s very nice but the lobby and dining room are not as comfortable as it was. However the staff and service were just as wonderful.

The property was very nice and the staff was great. The AC would make this knocking noise throughout the stay. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay.

Definelty does not meet criteria as a 5 star hotel. Far from everything, fees listed in a tacky way in the room about taking things, poor options for eating on site, no slippers. The feel overall was that of a 3 or 4 star at the most.

Love this property, always excellent! They upgraded the showers to glass/tile recently. It's always so cozy and safe, excellent beds and cotton sheets (not poly blend! Yay!). The staff is excellent, impeccable service. When I'm in ATL I don't know why I stay anywhere else. Love the Whitley.

Conflicting information about check in between reservation and reception about check in. Miss JL at reception was friendly at at great service. Shower pressure limited. Do inform guest for the lack of coffee/machine in the room and that it can be asked for!

I expected a 5 star stay and this was far from it. Im used to staying at 5 star hotels but this one is lacking. I think its equivalent to more so 4 star. No turn down service, no toothbrush kits in the room, really dark inside of the room, the dining was terrible and a very small menu. I wouldn't stay here again. Valet parking is 62 dollars and self parking is 50 dollars. I personally don't think its worth it. If I ever have to come in town again I would opt for the ritz.

We booked a one bedroom suite … Stain on sofa, dresser had knobs missing & broken drawers. Had to move rooms because there was a loud noise (maybe pipes or ac?) in first room. Public areas of hotel are nice, but rooms are dated.

i did enjoy the bath robes in the room, the cleaning staff was excellent + always restocked us on towels, and if we did need something extra, a quick phone call to the lobby was all we needed to do.

It is so rare to receive truly excellent service, but The Whitley lives up to their "luxury" name with their kind and attentive staff, comfy beds and great location. It's right across the street from a very nice mall, with North Italia, Cheesecake Factory, etc. I had never taken the MARTA train but tried it to & from the airport. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the station so it was super convenient. I loved my experience here and I will be back! Highly recommend!

We were pleasantly surprised at with all aspects of The Whitley. The service was impectable, the food good and hotel in fabulous condition. This was a last minute reservation for the Marlins game and we were incrediably happy with the hotel. We will definitely return.

We stayed a few years ago. Glad to see that it has been renovated. Comparatively to the great hotels close by it’s very well located, yet not as nice as the others. The parking cost is a rip off. The reception is simplistic with no welcoming amenity such as infused water or coffee. A good consideration, if location is a priority.

This is a location walkable to both the Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza. Front desk staff are very pleasant and professional. The rooms are comfortable, nice, and clean. I realize that this was Valentine's weekend, and the hotel may not otherwise be as busy with wedding guests and dance contestants, but the dining area and the bar area were too crowded to accommodate even the hotel guests. Also, the valet service was understaffed to handle the volume of non-hotel guests. Perhaps priority for valet should be given to paying hotel guests, and event guest use the self-park?

Hotel is located across a shopping mall. The lobby is very cozy and well decorated. Our room was nice. The pool is huge but the water is cold. The hot tub water was warm at best.

The power went out Saturday night and caused the toilet to backup and have brown water in it. Then it started to flush slow . I don’t like the fact it’s no Small refrigerator. I took a pic of the liquor bar in room when I was checking out Tao I wouldn’t be charged for it. Valet takes forever to bring your vehicle and it’s a little bit pricey
