Reviews
The Starling Hotel is a well-located property with a vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and clean rooms. However, guests have reported inconsistent experiences with customer service, particularly during check-in, and issues with parking and noise levels.
- Great location with easy access to local attractions and dining options
- Friendly and helpful staff, particularly in the bar and lounge areas
- Inconsistent customer service experiences, particularly during check-in
- Expensive and limited parking options, with some guests reporting theft from valet parking

Great rooms, but that’s where it unfortunately ends. Their pool was out of service and perhaps even their air conditioning? Every time we were in the lobby or restaurants it was so hot, like sweating! I appreciated that because the pool was closed they gave us a comped breakfast, but it was limited to 2 items and on the menu looked appetizing, but the execution was so very mid. Very obvious there are some execution issues. Hope this is improved as I see the potential of this hotel to be very amazing! Appreciated that it was connected to a food court area! Also plan to pay $30+ a night for parking as there are no free/affordable options nearby.

I really enjoyed my stay there however, it amazes me that there weren’t any microwaves in the entire building. I was really hungry, and had to eat my leftover dinner from earlier in the evening cold. Im still planning to come back this year. Thanks for everything.

Great vibes, well located, very comfortable
- 3/5
It's nicely maintained and in a good location in MidTown. However, the valet parking fee is a ripoff. The plus tax comes out to $75.25 per night. As one of the attendants told me, "it's the highest rate in the city." And getting your car is not 'easy in and out,' as it took about 15 minutes+ every time for them to bring my car around. For those prices, hire more staff to make it faster.

There wasn't anyone at the breakfast table and the prices were kind of ridiculous a cup of coffee was like $4.00 you would think if you pay almost $200 a night for a room you might get a complimentary coffee. The fact that when you book this room and it doesn't tell you you will be paying $60-75 or more a night just to park there is ridiculous

Great stay overall. Clean, spacious rooms and pleasant staff.
- 5/5
The spa was great. There was an issue with the pool but they offered us to use the pool and another hotel down the street it was nice. The parking price is wild, $69 a day required valet. I chose to park at a deck down the street for $23 for my stay. That worked out well
- 5/5
The entire hotel is absolutely stunning. The front drsk staff, Ms.Venice was excellent, from outstanding guest service to making us feel welcomed from first engagement. She was very knowledgeable about hotel, rooms, bar area. This was an all around excellent night. I'm definitelygoing to come back for a longer stay and if I'm lucky, I will get Ms. Venice services again. Love the live DJ, he was amazing. The hotel gets five stars on VIBE alone!!*****

Bring an umbrella just in case - there are no “extras” at the hotel and none for sale

The hotel was nice, but valet prices were unreasonable and we didn't get to use pool due to weather.

Overall the stay was fine. Upon arrival I realized it was the former W hotel (mid-town). The staff was friendly and helpful, my biggest issue was the overall maintenance and cleaniness of the property. The main areas were fine, but the Ice machine in the hallways looked like it hadn't been cleaned or serviced in a year or more. My room had an "off-gas" smell as soon as I walked in that made me think either a drain pipe had dried out and needed water or something else was going on, but I didn't see a drain? There was a light out in the "foyer" area of my room and the socket looked broken. the baseboards in the bathroom had chips and dents in them, the wallpaper was coming up and the floors looked like they skipped a few cleaninings. Overall it just looked poorly maintained which made me concerned about sleeping in the bed. It was a well decorated hotel but I would not stay again. I also work in facilities management so I notice these things immediately.

We loved the area the hotel is in, felt bustling but not too crowded, and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. The room was spacious, even after adding the complimentary crib for our toddler. It was clean, smelled good and the layout is functional, with enough space to unpack suitcases. Very minor thing, is that the pool is not really accessible for toddlers/small kids, as it doesn’t have stairs going into the pool, only ladders. Also, the cost for valet parking is steep!

You’re paying for the convenience of being in the heart of Midtown. Upon entering the lobby, I had a great first impression. However, as soon as I stepped into my room, I was met with a seedy vibe. The bathroom needed cleaning, and the room felt damp. I wouldn’t stay there again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Decor rooms were ok even though 21st floor views still not great bed in wrong position to watch TV even though moved on a bracket still got neck ache trying to watch as bed was facing the window direct in front of us and the TV was on the wall to the left Very disappointed with the pool nothing like the photos Ideal Re food court Pool very small cold and nothing like the photos Room views very poor even in high floors Breakfast not great and reception staff very poor you also Have to have your room key updated every day otherwise no access to your room after 12 every day pain when staying for a few days room didn’t get cleaned until late ie after 4pm some days

The manager was excellent and accommodating. The staff were polite and friendly. I had a great meal at bar for lunch. And I was able to get a good workout in at the gym. Excellent location, would highly recommend!
- 5/5
I arrived the day before my bday and was upgraded instantly once Isiah and Anthony found out. They made me aware of the water outage during my stay ahead of time (which were only a few hours). It gave me time to lay by the pool and nap. The bar staff were extremely nice (Tim, Tinesha (I hope I spelled it right) and another guy black with glasses). They all told me happy bday, provided a free shot (yes I tipped lol). This place you could just park and/or valet and never leave. The food court on the 2nd floor (political row) had a lot for food options. As well as an intimate night club (Jo Jo’s beloved). I took plenty of pictures everywhere. Thank you for making me 36th bday oh so memorable! I loved that it feel on a Wednesday because I had so much room to walk around and be myself.
- 4/5
We were there on Memorial Day weekend. Only 2 of the 5 elevators were working. Took forever to either go up or down. Requested towels 3 times as my room was not cleaned finally received them on the 4th request.

Staff was extremely professional and the property is beautiful. I took lots of photos inside. My sister's BDAY pictures were amazing.
- 5/5
Regina was awesome!!!
- 4/5
Parking is a bit high. Due to it being valet only. All Elevators were not on. Only two out of five were running on memorial day weekend. It took foreverrr for the elevator to finally arrive. We ended up taking the stairs down. (We were on 18 floor). Besides those two inconveniences everything else was fine.
- 4/5
Our room was very clean and the location is very central to midtown. My only gripe would be the elevators. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for an elevator since it seemed like there were only two out of the four in service. We ended up having to use the stairs several times. Definitely did not expect to experience this at this stay price point.
- 1/5
The elevators were another issue: only two were working, causing long waits and overcrowding. Cleanliness was also lacking. The carpets in the lobby and breakfast area looked dirty, giving the hotel a poor overall impression. The pool was much smaller than shown in the photos, which felt misleading. In addition, the rooms had an unpleasant gasoline-like smell, and the amenities were limited for the price. Overall, for what this hotel charges, there are much better options in Atlanta. I would not recommend staying here again.

I believe my payment was mishandled I still feel as though I over paid at the counter for my stay , my room smelt like mildew, the woman at the front desk staff was not friendly at all , valet parking staff was awesome

- 5/5
Staff were wonderful. Friendly and very helpful. Check-in was so smooth. And the valet staff (Nev in particular) were all top notch. They really helped out and looked out for us to with directions to make sure we were safe.
- 5/5
This is one of the coolest hotels in midtown. Theres an entire floor of giant screens to watch sports outdoors which is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Walkable to a lot of things and such a vibrant area. Will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
As someone who has stayed at many hotels over the years, this experience reminded me why I continue finding myself booking with Hilton properties. The feeling of being cared for before even arriving is something travelers truly value. Upon arrival, the greeting was warm, welcoming, and informative. Even the valet attendant took the time to thoroughly explain the parking options instead of simply pushing valet service. That may seem small to some, but for travelers balancing experiences and budgets, transparency and honesty go a long way toward making a trip feel enjoyable instead of stressful. Walking into the lobby was honestly breathtaking. The design team clearly paid attention to detail from top to bottom. The atmosphere felt upscale, artistic, and immersive all at once. If I had one design suggestion, it would simply be incorporating the hotel branding or logo subtly into the carpeting or tile work to further strengthen the identity of the property. Check-in was smooth and professional. The staff gave us a thoughtful introduction to the area 8.9/10
- 4/5
I loved the location. Dining spots and entertainment is all around in walking distance. Music in bar area was a little loud. Staff was great but hard on the ears to have conversations.
- 5/5
It was bummer that the valet staff couldn’t give us any information about the parking garage compared to valet if we didn’t plan on leaving and the water damage to our room was pretty clear in the bathroom and the sprinkler system outside of our door. Outside of that, we had a great stay!
- 5/5
Modern, spacious and very clean. Nice staff.

The only thing I didn’t like was parking. They only offer valet parking for $75 per night no other options.

Property REEKS of cigarette smoke. I had to switch rooms due to the smell however, the new room wasn’t any better. You can literally smell it in the hallways and air vents in the room. The staff is great and the location is fair with awesome valet. I Would recommend much needed upgrades for the prices. If you’re looking in the city please waive your options before considering The Starling.

I’ve stayed twice. The Starling has lovely public spaces and modern, clean rooms. Wear and tear is starting to show in rooms, but they’re still nice. The location is ideal, walkable and safe. The only caveat is that it is a party hotel. The first floor bar has spilled out into the lobby and taken over the whole place. It’s like a W. Feels hip and alive, but it’s also very loud and chaotic.
- 3/5
The location and ambiance of the hotel are definitely top notch! We enjoyed the food court with a variety of options on the second floor and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hiwever, there were a couple of things about the bathroom, we did not like. The toilet paper holder was placed in a very strange place and could barely be reached for use. The bathroom light was so dim, it was a challenge getting ready. The sliding door was ill fitted and left a huge gap- leaving very little privacy to use the restroom and there was no door for the shower- only a half wall, so water splattered out onto the floor. It would have also been nice to warm up leftovers, but there was no microwave in the room. We also paid almost as much for parking, as we did for our stay/room! Probably wouldn’t stay here again for said reasons, but the place IS beautiful and the location fantastic!!
- 5/5
Great location great service
- 3/5
Had water bottles in the hotel room, like most hotels do that were labeled free, only to be charged eight dollars for them after the fact because in fine print they’re free for a particular Hilton members which I just thought was scammy. I also was charged for two water bottles when I only had one. Property also smelled of cigarettes, but the lobby is absolutely stunning and they have events there.

We loved staying here! The hotel was great, beds were comfortable, and staff was friendly. We would choose to stay here again anytime we stay in Atlanta.

Overall a nice hotel. My door did not close on its own, and needed to be repaired, the pipes are noisy, the walls are thin, and a few other things about the place that are easily forgotten about. The staff by far is what stands out as the best thing about this hotel. The staff was really good. Especially the valet staff, they were incredible.
- 1.5/5
My room was dirty, stains on the sheets, bathroom shower had NOT been scrubbed. Thin walls, I heard somebody downstairs blowing their nose non stop. I was right by the elevator and I heard every interaction. The left side of the bed slopped down.

- 4/5
Upon my stay was able to check in early, which was a plus! Went out later and had dinner at the restaurant they played music at 8pm. When I returned to my room later that night, there was a lot of noise that sounded like sneakers in the dryer every 5 mins . Did not enjoy my night . Was able to phone the desk around 2:30 am that night and all we could come up with was old pipes in the building. Followed up aroind8:
- 5/5
The hotel is great and centrally located. There is a food court on the second floor with lots of good treats, a dj, and a full bar. The only thing that took us by surprise was how much the parking was. It’s $69 per night to valet. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again. Service was good, hotel is nice, rooms are updated and clean.
- 3/5
Hotel needs deep clean in bathrooms with grout and the floors get drenched no matter what you do. Very confusing and horrible parking, located in a very awkward three way in downtown which was awful to get in and out of. Clean beds and room with nice staff but will not go back.

From beginning tot end staff was exceptionally kind. The location is ideal a quick 20 min walk to Atlantic Center. There’s parking on property but cheaper lot is a block away. Close proximity to lots of great restaurants. And Piedmont Park.

Everything was great. The location, cleanliness, and staff. However some issues with follow ups we had to ask several days to fix the safety box until it took the third day to come and review the issue. Similar issue with a drycleaners item; they didn't deliver it until we ask for it.

The Starling Hotel staff provided an exceptional experience for my family and I. From the moment we checked in (with Tatyana) to the moment we checked out, we received the utmost level of courtesy and professionalism. Will definitely book there again.

Reasonable cost. Great location in midtown near Piedmont Park. Very, very good service. The carpet in our room was pulled up at the edge where it meets the tile and I stepped on the carpet tacks a few times with bare feet. Ouch! There is no microwave and that was an unpleasant surprise. The valet parking is very expensive ($75 per night with tax). The valet staff were excellent, however, and get your vehicle quickly and with courtesy. Would probably stay there again.

Staff was incredibly pleasant and supportive of requests. Hotel location was central to our experience. Enjoyed Colony Square dining options so close by. User experience was not optimal: 1) Elevator buttons were not explained at check-in. And the automated digital key did not work. 2) We had to notify them of a broken pipe coming from room 1203 that flooded the hall, and later the carpet smelled of sewer, but after 3 days was fine. 3) Tub did not have a mat to prevent slipping. 4) Cleaning the first time failed to replace missing toilet paper and had to ask front desk to bring some. 5) Included breakfast was great, BUT you had to ask for them to toast bread, resulting in cold eggs by the time it was completed.

Initial impression is the hotel is dated and lobby dark. It would benefit from a refurbishment. However It is clean and the rooms are spacious and bright. The rooms aren't perfect, there are a few cracks on the walls but it is clean, spacious and bright. Actually the rooms are nice. Comfortable bed and good quality linen. Starbucks complimentary coffee maker in room. Wow! Lacking in wardrobe space but we made it work. There was an iron and hairdryer which was great. The food court is nice to have access to and beyond that is the excellent Colony square with restaurants and other activities being held. There was a huge yoga session being held in the square. We discovered a healthy and tasty take out option called The brown bag. The shrimp dinner plate was delicious, as was the shrimp and salmon combo. One comment in general- We found the food tasty in the varierity of restaurants we visited from Steamhouse to STK but all were heavy on salt. Atlanta restaurants need to hold back on the salt! It's so unhealthy. I prefer to add salt if required. You can't remove salt once added so please bear this in mind. Btw- Steamhouse restaurant was a welcome find. Snapper and fried grits were delicious. I actually don't usually like grits.

I booked hotel because I searched for hotels in Atlanta area that provided a pool. When I arrived at hotel excited to spend time with my wife my the pool the staff told me the pool was closed until Memorial Day. If that was the case then on Expedia is should alert the purchaser that the pool is closed until Memorial Day so I could choose another hotel option where there pool was open at the time of booking.

Comfy and great view. Yet I’ve just seen the invoice for valet parking and it is more than double what I have ever paid all around the world and they do not tell you beforehand. And there are no other options for parking so they really should be upfront about this as I would have chosen to stay somewhere else. It feels dishonest.
- 5/5
Literally everything was GREAT! I’ll definitely be back. My ONLY complaint would be that the toilet paper was a bit harsh. I still give it 5 stars though because next time I’ll be bringing my own lol
- 2/5
Thousands of guests in the hotel over the weekend and only 3 of 5 elevators worked. Sometimes the wait was longer than 20 minutes. Woke up one morning to a huge cockroach running around the room which I honestly couldn't recover from. Maid service never came so we had piled up wet dirty towels. Not a great stay at all.
- 1/5
Initial check in was less than ideal. We were headed to a concert and needed to get ready. Check-in was 4. We arrived shortly after 5. Should have walked right up to the desk and grabbed our room keys. No. They said the hotel was sold out of rooms with 2 beds and our room was given to DECA students. They only had a room with a king bed. We were a group of 4 sharing a room. How do you spend over $400 on a room at a hotel to be told they don’t have a room? Offered to hold our bags while they sorted it out. Told that that wouldn’t work and they would either need to upgrade our room or put us in 2 king rooms at no additional charge. Explained that was not an option. 20-30 minutes later, they produced a room which was the one we were supposed to have. At this level of hotel, this should never happen.

The pricing was surprisingly amazing for the level of luxury we experienced, and they even upgraded our stay to a higher-level room with a beautiful view since we were staying for multiple days. That really made the experience feel extra special. The staff was beyond welcoming, attentive, and professional, making sure every detail was perfect. The Uber pick-up setup was also very convenient and easy to use, which made getting around stress-free. The only downside was the parking—you do have to pay daily, which wasn’t ideal—but honestly, everything else about the stay completely made up for it. Also Starbucks in next door and an amazing food court that has Dj and dancing. Overall, everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury experience!

This property doesn’t give the complimentary drinks or water or cookies. And valet is super cramped.
- 5/5
Great location, great staff

The elevator and hallways on my floor smelled like Marijuana.

I love this place and this was the first time for small hiccups. Management was good about making things right and I appreciated that part.
- 4/5
Great location and very nice staff besides the 2 young ladies at valet parking. Terrible attitudes. We had a nice comfortable stay and will be back next month but we will not do valet parking.
- 5/5

The decor.

Everything The price for parking

Day time is nice and quiet nice time around 10pm the hotel turns into a black ppl back yard bbq with your uncs and aunties in the middle of the floor drinking drinking twelve packs in the lobby and backyard bbq music the hotel turn into the BET AWARDS the police doing valet telling you to park your own car the front lobby turn into red carpet phot shoots ….only thing you missing is the dice
- 5/5
I always enjoy my stay here. Amazing place with amazing staff. 10/10 highly recommend!
- 5/5
Super clean, that’s the biggest thing I consider when booking a hotel. I didn’t like the shower however, if it was a full door so water wouldn’t get everywhere and so I could stay warm! lol other than that I loved it, the gym was top tier.
- 5/5
Nice location. Lots of dinning options around the facility.
- 2/5
Stayed here over the weekend for a business trip. As someone who works in construction and travels frequently, I usually build relationships with hotels I can consistently bring business to. The room itself was great spacious, comfortable, and a nice view. That part met expectations. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t. The valet situation was confusing and unhelpful, check-in was slow with an unwelcoming attitude, and the TV in the room didn’t work. On top of that, I was stuck in the parking garage for about 15 minutes due to a gate issue, and the response I received when calling for help was unprofessional. Because of these issues, I don’t see myself returning or bringing future business here, which is disappointing given the potential this property has.
- 2/5
Room kind of smells Better bring your own towels cuz the hotel’s towel is disgusting
- 5/5
Great hotel. Above all else, the location is amazing. Be sure to take advantage of Politan Row and Jojo’s!
- 5/5
love the starling
- 3/5
When I check in, there’s a gentleman named Stefan. He check us in, but he was full of attitude. He is not friendly at all. The only thing he asked me is phone number he didn’t even say may have your number or ma’am what is your number? He is very rude. When I try to ask him what is there around that I can go to like attraction? He didn’t even answer me. But the lady Nem Regina work next to him had gave me all the answer. Thank you Regina for being very friendly nice kind and welcome. So the check-in didn’t take us long everything went smooth. It’s just the fun with being rude. Come to the property I think that the party looks kinda old and also when I stepped into the room, the room smell like marijuana like someone smoke inside the room but because is only for one night and we will get a leave early in the morning. we’re not staying for long so I didn’t even care to report that. Next to the bed where I was sleeping at is smell like mold , it smell bad. Honestly I don’t think I will come back to that hotel.
- 5/5
The whole experience
- 5/5
I liked the closeness the starling was to everything very beautiful hotel I didn’t like how room service was only offered at certain times and we didn’t get to have it it the mornings when we went but a food court was nearby so nothing big the stay was great

Second time staying at the hotel. The location is convenient and central.
- 5/5
Clean room, good staff and good location
- 5/5
I wasn’t pleased with the 20% guatuity when purchasing at the downstairs bar. My ticket went from $56 to $70 and was given a tip slip to tip again for take out service. Was not happy bc I felt robbed. I didn’t tip twice either.
- 5/5
From Valet to front desk to housekeeping, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was just as nice as the pictures and the location was very close to Piedmont park. We will stay again.
- 5/5
Exciting, innovative, comfortable, great location, best shower we've used in a long time. Stay, enjoy.
- 5/5
Had an amazing stay! The room was beautiful, clean, and so comfortable. The staff was welcoming and made everything effortless. I’ll definitely be back!

- 5/5
We got there a bit before closing. The staff was welcoming and Tiana was attentive, professional and friendly.
- 5/5
From checking in with Anthony at the front desk who you can tell loves his job, he was phenomenal and extremely accommodating. I would visit again for that experience alone. Also the room exceeded my expectations. Staff and location was great.
- 5/5
This was my first time in Atlanta, and I can’t say enough great words about The Starling! In fact, I’d be scared to ever stay anywhere else because I don’t know if it would be as impeccable! The service, the decor, and the ambience alone was unmatched! My room was lovely and clean, and the bed was comfortable. I loved the vibe (and the food and drinks) of the Lantana, and I loved the convenience of Politan Row and Colony Park. I also appreciated its closeness to Piedmont Park as I enjoyed renting an E bike and riding around the park and stopping at the botanical gardens. The Starling is also a couple miles away from the museums, like the National Museum for Civil and Human Rights, as well as the Coca-Cola Museum and the Georgia Aquarium, which I enjoyed very much. Very walkable area, right around some great restaurants like Rumi’s and 5 Church. I did not rent a car and did not need to for what I was doing, which was literally just relaxing and doing a little sightseeing. Overall, it was a great stay at The Starling and I would never go anywhere else!
- 0.5/5
The guy at desk was rude, I was told at check out by a guy that my room was credited no balance. only for them to put the full balance on my account.
- 5/5
Clean & nice
- 5/5
There was someone working outside our room before 7 AM and was making a lot of loud noise.
- 5/5
One of my favorite hotels to stay in! Staff always has friendly service! Very helpful and resourceful as well.

Staff was great.

2nd our shower wasn’t working properly. The water wasn’t going down the drain. It was backing up in the tub and taking forever to drain out. Our room looked nothing like the pictures and the reviews we saw. I picked a specific room when I booked the hotel. When we arrived we were told we were getting an upgraded room. The room was just on a higher floor and looked like a regular room. That’s not an upgrade. The restaurant at the hotel charges outrageous prices for a little portion of food, the drinks at the bar are high priced. Parking at the hotel is ridiculous at $79 per night. Then if you want to buy anything at the hotel like bottles of soda, water, chips or candy it’s $5 EACH. We don’t recommend this hotel, nor would we stay here again. Not at the prices they charge.
- 5/5
Nice, clean hotel and they have variety of restaurant
- 3.5/5
The lobby bar was so over the top loud when I returned to the hotel - I could barely get in to order a drink - it was a loud jamming night club - my dog was freaked out. I also did not like the undisclosed $68 pet fee - happy to pay it but not happy that it was not disclosed up front. Also the garage charging stations are not super chargers - be prepared if you drive an electric car.

The decor was beautiful and the staff members were extremely helpful and friendly. The bed was super comfy some of the best sleep I’ve had in a hotel bed.
- 5/5
Amazing experience! From the time we pulled up for valet to check out it was Exceptional Service!! There was a bit of a wait at check in, however they had fresh ice lemon water available while you waited. Every associate from Eddie , Aaron, and Enoch in Valet; to Ashley at check in desk, and Stephen at check out they were ALL so kind welcoming and simply amazing. The hotel is beautiful, rooms immaculate, the whole vibe and esthetics on point!! This place is my now my absolute favorite!! Every picture, detail, and shown information is exactly as shown.

Great location with lots of places around within walking distance. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, especially the valets. Would definitely stay here again!

The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. There’s a lot going on near the hotel so it’s a little bit loud at night.
- 5/5
Great location and beautiful hotel!

What I like about life in general is typically when things happen judging people off of the recovery not necessarily the mistake in this hotel does that the manager I’m so sorry I did not remember her name beautiful African-American lady with light hair really came through in the clutch to make the stay that much more better. Stay here for a Valentines getaway weekend. This is our go to hotel will continue to use the hotel everybody from the staff from Mr. Eddie out in the valet till LAZ one of the valet, attendees even to the waitress lady at the hotel lounge area that likes to dance to the music she even made it worth the wild as well too really appreciate everybody’s accommodation hotel amenities are really nice as usual but again, just a really really nice place I like the fact that they try to go to the above and beyond to make sure that you have a great day. Will definitely continue to stay here again.

Everything was excellent - the staff, the room, how smooth the check in and check out, the bar! The atmosphere was absolutely pleasant. The stay was a present for my best friend. We enjoyed our visit so much we booked a stay for my birthday!
- 4/5
Clean room, the heater was a little too hot, adjustable.
- 4/5
The room should’ve been cleaner, but they switched my room so that was
- 4/5
The hotel is located in a great location, nestled in the center of food halls, bars, restaurants, lounges, and museums. The hotel itself is clean, trendy and modern.
- 2/5
When checking into our room, we noticed the conjoining door to another room would not lock, raising safety concerns. The door to the bathroom was off of the track and would not close. When taking a shower, we noticed that the water was luke warm. We called front desk and they sent up maintenance. When the maintenance came in, he turned the water on, and asked if we wanted it hotter. The water in the sink was warmer than in the shower. He then said "the water isn't going to get any hotter, it doesn't get hot like it does at home. The only hot water is at the bar" he then left. Unsatisfied, I talked to the front desk about switching rooms. She allowed me to test the water in the room before moving all of our belongings. When we got to the new room a large vent cover was hanging off the wall. Due to being tight on time and everything we had just been through, we did not complain. Just moved the chair in front of it to keep it from falling down. We asked for plates and a knife for a birthday cake later that evening and guest services said the kitchen was closed and handed us some plastic silverware, claiming there was no way to access plates, she lied. We went to the breakfast area and there were stacks of plates and bowls. We requested housekeeping the following morning along with new linens, which didn't get changed. One very nice employee who assisted with check in and check out, gave us complimentary breakfast, but besides that nothing else was done. Horrible experience.
- 3/5
Room did not get any replacements on cups or glasses or coffee packets or tea bags

There was a fight at the front door. This was the 6th time there. It will be the last!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, the dj on Saturday was great. I loved the complimentary cucumber water and that Starling is connected to Politan Row food court.
- 5/5
Solid hotel - front desk is quick and efficient - bar in lobby was fun.

Perfect place to stay.

Very clean hotel..friendly staff..enjoyable stay!
- 5/5
My first time in Atlanta - I was in town for the Viktor & Rolf exhibit at the High Fashion Museum. The hotel was within walking distance of the museum. The hotel was VERY nice and staff was awesome. Only complaint was that the people above me were stomping around at late hours - but that was not the hotel's fault. Inconsiderate guests! I will be going back there for sure.
- 5/5
yes
- 4/5
Property cool nothing special beside the views of the city at night depending your room but valet is a scam. They charged me $150.28 for a 12 hour stay of a guest who came to visit me. I’ll be contacting corporate about this.
- 5/5
The environment
- 4/5
Staff was good the location and view were amazing room was nice

- 5/5
The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were clean and amenities were nice! Very cute hotel design and set up. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Always a great experience staying here
- 1/5
The staff was great, the room was extremely noisy. Would not stay again.
- 4/5
parking a little steep per day but if you want to park for free, there is street parking but you are risking your car being broken into. staff was amazing. our first night was a little inconvenient with a broken shower. brought it up to staff attention and they sent engineering right up even though it was late. they couldn’t remedy the situation but they were able to meow switch us rooms the next day. other than that small inconvenience, i would say this hotel is a must pick. theres plenty of amenities and dinning options. the food hall offers alot to choose and theres restaurants around the hotel as well. two thumbs up.
- 5/5
clean and quick service
- 1/5
Stain on the sheets. There was spit or fluid dripping down on the lower window and stains on the sofa. Also the pocket door to the bathroom fell on my toe the morning we were checking out, and I reported that to front desk along with other complaints, but there was not even so much as a sorry for your inconvenience or anything. This hotel really needs to be inspected and given some type of reduction. It was a very uncomfortable stay at the least. I think I should be compensated in some type of way for this horrible experience.
- 5/5
- 5/5
Room were nice, clean, and ataff amazing
- 5/5
This hotel is top tier. The room was well kept and the house keeping team did a phenomenal job at keeping the room clean and furnished with clean towels. I was impressed from the moment I stepped foot onto the pavement. The conceirge team was impressionable, courtesy and polite. Having the food court attached as well as the outside shopping center was a plus. You did not have to travel far for food. Just rememeber that everywhere is cashless. I enjoyed my stay and my family who lives in Georgia was impressed with the hotel as well. I will be back and as a Hilton Honors member this hotel will be added to the top of my list.
- 5/5
Staff was pleasant and helpful on check-in, room was clean and decorated nice, comfy bed and quiet.
- 5/5
A bit pricey but everything else was great.
- 5/5
I love it and stay everytime I go to Atlanta
- 5/5
The staff was great and the decorations where beautiful, I enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Room was excellent and staffs were very nice
- 4/5
nice staff and unique decor
- 3/5
Checking in was awful!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect outside of the bar. It seemed to bring in ppl that we not staying at the hotel and a lot of them! Staff was amazing. Every detail was handled with ease.
- 1/5
Waited 3 hours for room. Rude front desk and valet staff. Housekeeping was great. Wrong $225 charge at checkout. Asked to load bags in rain. Never staying again. Horrible service.
- 4/5
The room was amazing but the shower was very impractical and the breakfast buffet wasn’t appetizing.
- 4/5
Room was super clean , bed pretty comfortable , stocked well . Nice staff at the desk . Entry ..lobby look super fun . Bar area kinnah swanky . Would def stay again .
- 4/5
Areas for improvement include updating the outdated tub/shower, particularly the molded faucet and broken rain shower head. The continental breakfast was overpriced and bland, and the breakfast service was disorganized. Staff gave no directions to patrons, we waited a long time to be served after seating ourselves, and drinks were never refilled—something that would have been easier if it were self-serve.
- 5/5
Beautiful and comfortable
- 5/5
The dining area where breakfast was served was good. The food could've been a little more hotter but the quality and choices were good. Should definitely have more hotel staff to help guests, but overall great stay.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Everything was amazing but the parking is horrific and $70 a night very cluttered and takes a long time to get your car from valet due to the busy volume they cater to. But the staff was amazing the hotel itself is stunning and aesthetically pleasing.
- 5/5
How fast it was to valet and check in
- 5/5
Shiv is friendly
- 4/5
Need tlc! The bar chairs are all ripped The bar does not t have nothing good to eat than coffe in the breakfast! all pastries are cold!! Terrible!! Need better insulation you can hear everything Rooms are good and spacious but tv was weird ! Tv was in one side to the bed and not in front
- 5/5
Very spotless and very nice
- 5/5
Great hotel in a great location
- 5/5
Rooms big and clean, convenient location
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, felt very safe, the lobby was a big party so I was worried it might be too loud and crazy for our kids to sleep but it was fine and everyone enjoyed.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Great location and property. However, possible upgrades to WI-FI infrastructure, may be considered. I was unable to watch local and special interest programs.
- 4/5
Wonderful staff, great housekeeping, sumptuous breakfast options, and an inviting lobby. Hot water temperature in the bathroom shower was a bit inconsistent - maybe a faulty shower lever. Overall cleanliness inside the guest room, hallways, and other public areas in the hotel are worth a mention - a very well maintained property.
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff, hotel itself is cool. Bar restaurant was nice. Just a few things I didnt like was the shower only had a half wall and no door. Looked cool but water got on floor etc. and towels were not soft at all. All in all I liked the hotel and would go back.
- 5/5
We had a great stay, the room was nice and clean, check-in was easy, property was easy to navigate, and the clean staff was easy to work with. Hotel is in a great location with restaurants on property or nearby walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Customer service was amazing & the room was beautiful
- 3/5
The room was in okay condition. Television didn’t work properly the whole time we were there but the two technician guys were very professional. We had to ask for toilet paper 3 times before anybody got us some and even that took hours. Would insta here again? Probably not but it’s a great location. Also, $75/day for parking is ABSURD!!!!! They also don’t like to answer the front desk if you call
- 1/5
I was racially discriminated against while trying to check in. The hotel said they had rooms available online, but once I arrived the receptionist said they were sold out. I arrived at the hotel within fifteen minutes of my confirmation. I told the receptionist to cancel my room and he said "no problem". "Just cancel it on your end and the hotel would not dispute the cancelation on their end". I canceled the room through Expedia and guess what? The Starling refused to cancel the room even though i never checked in.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay from checking in to checking out
- 4/5
Breakfast was not good and over priced. The eggs seem like they were instant. Grits had no butter and were clumpy. The massages were overpriced and because they were late starting, we only got 45 minutes of our 50 minute massages. Rooms are small and just okay.
- 3/5
The valet parking is a mess. They need more help out there. The lines to get or drop your car off is insane and at $65.00 for valet, they should have it together.
- 5/5
Love yall! See yall next week
- 5/5
hare options.
- 5/5
I loved the fact that there was so many food options I loved the food hall within the hotel and the decor and lobby areas was really nice! I wouldn’t stay here again but it’s in a good location!
- 5/5
Room was great. Nice shower & all clean. Room service food was shockingly delicious. Phone in room didn’t work. They offered to fix but I declined. There was a constant beeping on my floor & they had it fixed within an hour of calling. I was surprised to find out they didn’t have a microwave for people to use & they said they could send one up to our room but it never came. Parking here is ridiculous. Only valet $69 a day.
- 3/5
It was ok issue with check-in as usual. Had to be switched to three rooms due to reserved room not being ready then the 2 nd room was dirty. After 30 min they gave another room so other than that stayed ok I was fair didn’t give a 1star because other than the check-in it was a nice stay
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful thank you!
- 3/5
Def not my idea of a boutique hotel.
- 5/5
Staff very friendly, clean rooms, very confortable bed.
- 5/5
Great experience. Good location. Would stay again.
- 5/5
The location is great, restaurants, Botanical Garden, parks...walking distance. Clean, spacious and friendly stuff 👌
- 5/5
Clean room, Friendly Valet, Nice Bar Area.
- 5/5
Really nice hotel
- 5/5
Staff is very courteous and super helpful.
- 3/5
Extra fees were added to the cost of the hotel stay that were not included in the hotels.com estimate. This made the total cost of the hotel unaffordable.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The hotel and room have a nice vibe and atmosphere. I loved the aesthetics and enjoyed my stay. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Eddie and Aaron were friendly, efficient, and very accommodating.
- 1/5
Expedia is a scam and I advice no one to ever use their services. The insurance protection plan is a scam. I cancelled this trip and Expedia stole my money and never attempted to cancel. They kept the money and never actively canceled with the property. The insurance company not protect you during cancellation. The property ensured me Expedia could cancel and refund me but Expedia did no so I received emails all weekend from the property asking about my trip that Expedia never canceled for me a left the reservation open.
- 4/5
Room and hotel is fine. The bar isn’t that good and there was a huge roach running around. Not sure I’d stay again. I think I’m a person who prefers smaller boutique hotels.
- 3/5
Staff was okay. We were roomed with a broken door that never got fixed. Some of the desk staff weren’t the friendliest.
- 2/5
Wine at the bar was $25 and not a generous pour either. Highway robbery! In the morning, the Housekeeping Supervisor, who only spoke Spanish, was forcing her way into the room, even with a Do Not Disturb sign. Ridiculous.
- 5/5
Great hotel and Staff great location. Parking is too expensive but everything else was great.
- 5/5
Location was great! I enjoyed the hotel bar too!
- 4/5
My stay was 3 nights room was clean, check in was quick BUT room service half cleaned the room wasn’t until I said PLEASE replace the glassware, change the sheets and replace the bottle water which I drank. Our fridge didn’t work but they bought another one to the room. Other than that the stay was great. 2nd floor be lite go to Jojos cocktail and the Dj at the bar was lit too after jojos we literally partied at the hotel which I enjoyed!
- 5/5
Would stay here again. Good location if you plan on going to Piedmont Park. The only complain is valet parking and self parking prices.
- 3/5
Very nice hotel but my bathroom and linen DEFINITELY wasn't clean.
- 5/5
Very nice. Parking expensive but all else was wonderful
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 4/5
Every thing was good! Room was good! Enjoyed the vibe.
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
I loved my stay! Went solo for a birthday getaway and enjoyed the spa, dining areas, and the super convenient location near restaurants and salons. The only downside-there was no microwave and the fridge doesn’t have a freezer, so my ice cream melted and I couldn’t save leftovers because I flew into town. I would think they would at least have a central location for guest to use the microwave on their own, but no.
- 5/5
Views from room were beautiful. Staff was incredibly courteous and attentive.
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Beautiful and spacious rooms, friendly staff
- 2/5
No worth the price
- 4/5
The staff was amazing! Eddie and Corey were attentive to my needs.
- 5/5
Everything was 5 stars. My only issue is that it was unfavorably cool in the entire hotel.
- 4/5
This hotel is perfect for a girls trip. Lots of food options inside the hotel and in the surrounding area. Worst part of this hotel is the parking.
- 3/5
I enjoyed my stay there however there were a few areas of concern that I feel that truly meeds to be addressed. I was stuck in the G elevator and I didn't feel the " sense of urgency" from the time I rang the call button for help actually I was helped by concerned people at the hotel that pryed the door open with their hands. I velveted my car they were very friendly. I check my statement and there is a charge for an amount that is specified I called several times and once I said billing they just abruptly transfered me no " one minute" please hold for the transfer" or NOTHING! The phone rang a few times and then the call was routed back to the front desk were a male names Ari answers and said "Oh hes probably at lunch" just try calling back. I called back after an hour and the someone answer and hangs up. I try agsin and it happens again. Finally a male answers I said can

Location was great - staff was friendly and attentive… hotel itself is outdated and we had a giant hole in the tile in our bathroom where cockroaches came out of - we had to stuff the hole with hand towels
- 3/5
Getting cars in and out of the hotel is problematic and requires several staff to manage the vehicle vehicles because the parking area is so small No closets
- 5/5
Very upbeat and lively environment. Staff was nice and helpful. Great property with plenty of dining options in the food court.
- 4/5
Unfortunately, the maintenance staff’s/department was lacking in every way during my stay. That was very disappointing.
- 5/5
Nice centrally located hotel in Midtown Atlanta. Very convenient and nicely appointed.
- 3/5
The hotel is beautiful, staff was good and room clean. It was a very busy hotel over the 3 day weekend. The rooms are not very quiet - we could hear everything. Very loud throughout the night and early morning with people up and down hallway - loudly talking/shouting/knocking on doors. Won't be a 1st choice next visit to see our son in Atlanta.
- 5/5
Just a great experience.
- 5/5
The Starling is beautiful and the room was clean and spacious. There's an awesome food court attached to the hotel that makes it extremely easy to satisfy everyones cravings.
- 4/5
Great location and beautiful property. Beware of very loud plumbing noises day and night. This is why I wouldn’t book here again!
- 5/5
Great stay. Great location.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved this place! Will be my go to for Atlanta! Great area, close to public transit, restaurants in an around hotel were great!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and helpful. We always love staying at the Sterling. We can’t wait to be back.

It was nice
- 5/5
Great prices for an upscale hotels , very clean and comfortable
- 5/5
All of it was lovely EXCEPT the bathrooms are the Achilles heel --poor water pressure, poor lighting for makeup application and sink always backs up.Chicken wings were dry dry dry - but the servers were attentive & friendly. cute & sexy bar area, gorgeous furnishings, great drinks and the room was great! Except for the bathroom the property, location & staff were fabulous from the front desk to the front door. Even knowing the challenges, I'd stay again.

This hotel is not cheap. I thought I was going to get a relaxing weekend with my husband instead we walk in to a lobby that was more like a concert the music was very loud the crowd was big I was barely able to here the check-in clerk due to the music and the hustle and bustle was a bit overwhelming. I book a King room and instead got a queen room. The shower is ridiculous not shower door causing a puddle of water on the floor, the sink.. well the pressure was so strong that when you turn on the faucet the water splashed on to you clothes. We have a two day stay reserved but left the every next morning. Very disappointing stay.

Good proximity to tourist sites

Feels comfortable

Nice room friendly staff
- 5/5
Loved my stay ! Will stay here again !
- 5/5
Always choose this hotel when in Atlanta, great location and amazing staff
- 4/5
It's in the center of everything and very confinement to everything from a good meal to entertainment venues. It's busy though and not always the quietest but a great spot with nice rooms and amenities.
- 4/5
Nice rooms, cool bar (a little pricey but that’s to be expected for a hotel bar in ATL) service was good.
- 3/5
Pool was closed, no where did it say it would be anywhere.
- 5/5
Cool property and close to the park.
- 3/5
The place was nice overall but the floors on the elevator were alarming due to the wear from water damage
- 4/5
The staff was friendly. My room was not 100% clean. There was hair in the tub, hair on the carpet, a stain on the shower curtain and a stain on one of the comforters for the other bed in the room.

Perfect location near Piedmont park. Funky modern music themed hotel- beautiful decor. Excellent staff. Beautiful outdoor pool. Highly recommend
- 5/5
Overall nice hotel in a great part of Atlanta. Nice staff and spacious rooms
- 5/5
Great experience

Queen treatment
- 5/5
Our stay was fantastic! The hotel is close to everything and perfect for Shaky Knees festival
- 3/5
The staff was very quick to respond to the door complaint and came promptly after arrival to fix, but since our arrival was so late we asked for the door issue to be fixed at a later time. Conveniently located to Piedmont Park for the concert, but parking was not included. I booked originally because of the posting stating that parking was included, but must have misunderstood as it was not. It could be added for a $79 a day fee.
- 3/5
Had an issue with the remote batteries being corroded, told the front desk at 4pm, came back at 10:30pm and it still wasn’t fixed. Had to wait almost an hour for them to bring us a new one so we could turn the tv off and go to bed. We also asked for a kettle to boil hot water with in the room and apparently they didn’t have one, which I thought was a pretty basic amenity. When we went to get coffee service in the morning at the bar they were incredibly unorganized and seemed to be really under staffed. Public areas such as the elevators were really dirty and hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Also there was Togo food left in the elevator area that should have been picked up. Finally, my husband ordered two margaritas from the bar that were singles and the total was over $70! That’s ridiculous. With price of the hotel and the photos, I expected more. It lacks that touch of luxury I was expecting.

Nice Atlanta option
- 4/5
The property is conveniently located near restaurants and is walkable. Breakfast was excellent and worth the spend. Room was clean, however there was a scheduled maintenance during our stay which was a bummer. Other than that the only negative was the parking situation which may be expected for this area but a hassel as they didnt have dedicated parking. Staff was amazing and decor was instagram worthy. Overall a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
The property is the most elegant and beautiful property in Atlanta. If you like pictures then every corner of the hotel lobby is a photo op.
- 5/5
Lots of dining options within walking distance.
- 5/5
The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I would definitely come back again. Only downside: the pool was cold. If they could adjust the temperature, it would make the experience absolutely perfect. It did help for muscle recovery!
- 5/5
My stay was amazing. The hotel was so beautiful. The staff were so friendly and I will definitely be staying here again upon my next visit.
- 5/5
Great stay. Clean room. Modern design. Eclectic vibe. Sexy. Staff was wonderful. Parking and valet was a breeze. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
- 5/5
Stayed for my anniversary weekend with my husband & we absolutely loved it! So many beautiful spaces & things to do all attached to the hotel. It was the best!

The location is in the heart of Midtown and not too far from good eats. The staff is very nice and friendly. Upon check in you are greeted by valet and head to check in. The staff is really nice and give you a quick run down of the hotel. We valeted our rental which they took a while to retrieve- I would suggest calling down and requesting it before heading downstairs. The lobby is decorated beautifully and the rooms are comfortable but plain. Overall nice stay I would book again.

Good food
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
This is by far the most beautiful and aesthetically pleasing hotel in Midtown Atlanta!!! The stag was wonderful and I want to give a special shoutout to Latrell at the front desk and Dontrell and MJ working the lobby bar. These three people made my visit worth wild every moment. Carlene in Valet was courteous and the entire service crew in the dining hall for breakfast every morning made me feel exclusive everyday.
- 5/5
100% would recommend!
- 4/5
Nice establishment with walking distance of several restaurants.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
We loved the size and view of our room! However, the level of customer service and ease didn't meet our expectations compared to other Hilton stays.
- 5/5
Bed was so comfortable
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, great location, excellent service
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
From arrival to departure service was excellent! Only concern was there wasn’t an accessible microwave for guest to use to reheat takeout!
- 4/5
For price you’re paying, you could definitely find a cleaner room and less noisy hotel. Our neighbors decided to throw a hotel party (literally) and it took calling three times at almost 2 in the morning to get them to do something about it. Location is good but not having a parking associated with the hotel is very inconvenient.
- 5/5
On a Friday night this place is really fun! I took my 13 year old daughter there for a short trip to the “big city” and she loved the hotel! She took tons of pictures in the lobby and loved being able to see the buildings while in the pool
- 5/5
Loved everything
- 5/5
Unique was an immersion in Art. When I was looking for a property, the lobby looked Spectacular I felt like I had walked into an Art Museum and solely I made my choice by that. I arrived and the design continues throughout the property every area touched on an Artist concept and was a vision of creative bliss
- 5/5
Nice hotel with access to a great food court
- 5/5
Quiet. Very walkable.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 4/5
The parking cost was $30 daily I believe that at minimum this should be mentioned when booking a room. There wasn’t an iron or ironing board made available.
- 5/5
Nice
- 2/5
Parking cost too much
- 3/5
Lots of things options for food within walking or scooter ride. We had to be strategic about using the car to go places. Parking is ridiculously expensive. We also were frustrated about a constant banging/knocking sound that you could hear from our room. Still have no idea what it was.
- 5/5
There is a $69 fee for parking, but if you price parking in Midtown, it's worth it. We would stay there again!
- 5/5
Love the hotel and really enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

On top of that, valet is overpriced for how long it takes, and service at the bar was extremely slow despite it not being busy. This was by far my worst experience at this property, and it left me very displeased.
- 5/5
I booked the Midtown Suite at The Starling Atlanta Midtown Curio Collection for convenience due to a nearby appointment, but it quickly turned into so much more than just a place to stay—it was an experience worth raving about! From the moment I pulled up, the warm welcome from the valet set the tone for the entire visit. At the front desk, Sean went above and beyond with professionalism, kindness, and genuine hospitality that made me feel like more than just a guest. Later, dining at the Latana restaurant was another highlight—our server Nitosha was an absolute delight, adding a personal touch that made the meal even more memorable. The Midtown Suite itself was stunning, with a breathtaking view overlooking 14th Street. Spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, it captured both the charm of Atlanta and the modern luxury you expect from the Curio Collection. This stay exceeded every expectation. I came for convenience but left knowing this will be my go-to hotel whenever I’m in Atlanta. Management should be proud of the exceptional team they have here. I will definitely return—and highly recommend The Starling to anyone looking for the perfect Midtown Atlanta stay!

It was uniquely decorated
- 5/5
This was my second stay at the Starling and loved it. My only call out is some renovation is DESPERATELY needed. A lamp was broken in the room, part of the shower bar was broken, The bathroom door didn't close flush against the wall, etc.
- 5/5
Everything was nice but expensive!! Valet service for 2 days was $150 !! The food n drinks was good .The valet guy Econ was super nice !!!
- 5/5

Second stay at the The Starling Atlanta Midtown this year—beautiful ambiance, perfect location to explore the area, excellent customer service, safe and easy parking, and a super comfortable bed. Would definitely return.
- 4/5
The hotel itself was very beautiful but I was underwhelmed by my room two queen. It was ok but needed to be updated, wallpaper peeling in areas, paint chipping ,bathroom had rusty metals in shower, sink drain slow , the bathroom door was rickety, bad lighting in room with low lights couldn't do my makeup but only in bathroom . I just expected a better room with such a nice looking hotel but it was just ok average . Now the restaurants, atmosphere, we're delightful.

- 5/5
This was a great stay! I was in town for a concert and this is a prime location to to the Mercedes Benz Stadium. Super clean and lovely amenities. The staff was so nice and wonderful! Parking is expensive it’s cheaper just to leave your car overnight parking and ride share

The staff made the stay!

The hotel is beautiful. However it was very loud. Not sure what the noise was or where it was coming from. Also there was an overwhelmingly smell of weed throughout the hotel. Halls, elevators etc. It was a bit uncomfortable.
